- Niche Spike setter with a good speed tier and passable defensive stats.
- Utility options in Taunt, Thunder Wave, and Destiny Bond that allow it to do more than set Spikes.
- Able to consistently pressure hazard control Pokemon like Golbat and Xatu with Ice Beam.
- Decent offensive typing that allows it to threaten a variety of popular types like Grass-, Flying-, and Ground-types.
- Poor defensive typing leaves it susceptible to Dark- and Fire- types that are very common in NU.

Moves
========
- Spikes provides hazard support that consistently damage foes and open opportunities for the rest of the team.
- Ice Beam is Froslass' attacking move of choice, allowing it to super-effectively damage important Pokemon like Sceptile and Xatu.
- Taunt allows Froslass to effectively stop Pokemon like Garbodor, Druddigon, and Miltank from setting up hazards or Pokemon like Mega Audino and Vaporeon from using Wish.
- Thunder Wave allows Froslass to cripple fast Pokemon like Passimian and Heliolisk, reducing their overall impact on the game.
- Destiny Bond can nab a surprise KO against foes like Incineroar that do not expect it.
========
- 252 Special Attack and Speed EVs allow Froslass to outspeed most Pokemon in the tier and hit super-effective and neutral foes as hard as possible with Ice Beam.
- Cursed Body should be used to potentially disable contact moves like Passimians Knock Off and Golbats Brave Bird.
- A Focus Sash should be used to allow Froslass to set up as many hazards as possible and cripple Pokemon like Incineroar and Sceptile since it can always live a hit.
========
- Froslass is best used as a lead where it can set up hazards early game and spread status like Paralysis early, as well as potentially get a Destiny Bond kill early if the situation calls for it.
- Sacrificing Froslass early is not always the best option; preserve it until later in the game where it can set up more Spikes and use the utility it provides with Taunt and Thunder Wave
- Utilize Thunder Wave to cripple as many Pokemon as possible on the opposing team so that they are easier to handle later in the game
- Don't be afraid to use your Ice STAB move frequently, as it hits a large variety of types and can pressure hazard control options like Golbat and Decidueye
