Final Note:
I am somewhat new to pokes and all, and still learning all the terms, such as sweeper and wall and all, so forgive me if I don't put down the terms. I don't want to put the wrong one down and be flamed haha.
So I worked really hard on trying to find a team I liked. I kept watching tons of other people battling, trying to find a type of team I found fun, yet still good, and it was hard cause mostly what I saw were rain teams, and I hate rain teams. I just don't think rain, or any weather team is so good where they can just win all the time. So after making a TON of random and different teams, and having every one suck, I finally just put a team together, real quick at random, and it happens to be the best team so far.

Breloom w/ Leftovers
Ability: Technician
Nature: Jolly
EV's: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Moves:
- Spore
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Seed
- Low Sweep
Breloom is a great poke as it has good attack, spore, and technician. The added bonus was being able to know a good physical grass move. I only send him in when I predict a switch, or there is Chansey/Blissey out because he can't take too much damage. I instantly spore, and then the opponent has 1 of two options. The opponent can either leave the sleeping poke in or switch out, either way giving me a free turn to use Swords Dance. I know many people are wondering why Swords Dance instead of other boosts, and the reason is simple... SD gives 2 stages of attack, while other boosts will give 1 stage of attack and something else, which isn't needed. Breloom isn't much of a defensive poke, so adding onto his defenses isn't going to stop a much, and his speed is already high enough to counter slower pokes, along with some quicker ones. All I want is to be able to get his attack up, then attack with Bullet Seed or Low Sweep. The reasoning for those two attacks instead of moves such as Mach Punch and Seed Bomb is cause Low Sweep isn't a priority move, however, its damage is very good with technician, and is lowers the speed of my opponent. This means for a 2nd turn, there is a good chance I will be getting the first attack, unless a priority move is used. Now, for Bullet Seed. Grass moves aren't very effective to a lot, but when they are, they are! So I wanted a move that could attack and do damage beyond a sub, along with doing a lot of damage. Bullet Seed with technician and a x2+ boost, is quite powerful and works perfectly when needed. Lastly, when using Breloom, you must be aware of his weaknesses (with all pokes actually). When your opponent has pokes that will destroy him, you don't send him out. You hold him back until you eventually destroy his threats, then you send him in to clean up the rest of his team.
Mamoswine w/ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
Nature: Adamant
EV's: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Moves:
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Superpower
Mamoswine is awesome because of the move Ice Shard and good stats. His good stats, even though he has a few types that are super effective, allow him to be able to take usually atleast 2-3 hits. This makes it so you also can get off a few attacks, and that is all you need. For EV's, I actually have my EV's in HP and Attack instead of speed, but it can kind of go either way. His defenses are good, and putting 252 into HP makes him even tougher, but his speed is actually not bad for such a heavy poke, so putting it into speed can make it so he out speeds many pokes you wouldn't think he could. Now, for moves, Ice Shard is the perfect move for him. It is a priority move, with okay power, and with a super boost because of his great attack stat. This allows for quick dragon kills, and other pokes weak to ice. The rest of his moves are pretty self explanatory. The key to using Mamo is to send him in when needed, and take him out when put against something that will kill him. Example... When Dragonite is in and already has a Dragon Dance up... Send in Mamo and Ice Shard him to death. Then the opponent sends in Scizor.. Get him outa there. That is the BEST strategy for him.
Heatran w/ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
Nature: Timid
EV's: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Moves:
- Flamethrower
- Dark Pulse
- Hidden Power - Ice
- Stealth Rock
Heatran... Obviously a favorite amongst many. He has great Special Attack. Basically, for moves, I use Flamethrower instead of other fire moves because it does enough damage to kill mostly anything is super effective against in 2 hits, at most. There are other fire moves, but you like sacrifice power for extra burn chance, or accuracy for power, and I think that this is the PERFECT attack for all. Dark Pulse is good to me because of these situations... Someone has like scizor in, so I send this guy in. They switch scizor with pokes like latios, or jirachi thinking they can handle him. Then I catch them off guard with Dark Pulse, and they are just like wtf. I also use HP Ice because there are a lot of pokes that people have been using that are weak to ice, especially dragons, so I can conquer them. Then there is the good ole stealth rocks. Stealth Rocks is pretty much a must have on all teams, and I think it fits PERFECTLY with this guy. I send him in, and on my next turn, I know my opponent is going to switch out, but there are a few options he can switch into, and I am not sure which he will use. So to be safe, instead of wasting an attack that may do none to very little damage, I use stealth rocks. As for items, air balloon is good. It makes it so ground moves can't hit him without them using non ground moves first, meaning it will take atleast 2 attacks to kill. As for EV's, pretty obvious. More SpA for even more damage, and speed to help outspeed slower pokes. And, for nature, I most of the time like to improve speed as much as possible, because that little boost of speed can be the difference of who attacks first, and who gets the kill.
Latios w/ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Timid
EV's: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Moves:
- Roost
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Hidden Power - Fire
I use leftovers for the item, because unless he gets hit with something he is weak against, it wont kill him, and that little extra health regain can help ALOT. As said before, I like the speed boost given with natures, and EV's are pretty self explanatory. For his moves... Latios is great to switch in against pokes such as fighting and fire pokes. He takes little damage, from them, however after a few of those hits, they can add up, so Roost is there to heal it all back. Draco Meteor, is the monster attack. Aside from basically steel monsters, you put this guy in, use draco meteor, and if it doesnt kill them instantly, it is gonna do a TON of damage. Psyshock is for those measily fighting pokes, especially ones that have used bulk up and dragon dance. For my last move, I use HP Fire. This allows me to destroy those pesky steels that my other moves can't. That simple.
Rotom-W w/ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Timid
EV's: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Moves:
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Hidden Power - Fire / Fighting
So for my item, I use leftovers, cause it helps alot. Again, EV's and nature are to cause more damage, and be the first to attack. For moves, volt switch, is I think the obvious first pick everytime. It gives a good electric damage, while being able to switch out into something that can handle attacks a little better. Hydro Pump is NOT my first choice for water attacks cause of the low accuracy, but it is the only one he learns. So at the very least, when it hits, it does A TON OF DAMAGE, which is good. Will-o-Wisp is kind of like what stealth rocks is to Heatran, but even better. I use will-o-wisp when I know my opponent is going to switch out their poke, and I don't know what they will switch into, or if I do know, and don't think I will be able to kill it. This will give it a nice burn, which is my favorite effect in the game. Lastly, I use hidden power fighting, however, fire is also a good choice. The thing is, both moves are great options, and both can have a good effect. I chose fighting because I have enough fire on this team, and I felt I could use another strong fighting move. I just can't decide about which I want to use overall because I have yet to be in a situation where this final move made the difference between win and lose. So I guess, this is more of a personal preference choice.
Scizor w/ Leftovers
Ability: Technician
Nature: Jolly
EV's: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Moves:
- U-Turn
- Bullet Punch
- Aerial Ace
- Pursuit
Last poke here... So I went with leftovers for his held item. Listen, Scizor has 1 weakness, and that is fire. If he is hit with a fire attack, he is going to die. If he is hit with mostly anything else, he won't, so leftovers helps a TON with healing little bits back at a time. This saves me from having to use roost. I use the ability technician, cause it helps soo much with damage. Nature and EV's are for most attack and speed, like usual. As for the moves. U-Turn is an obvious move to help do damage, while switching to a better poke. Bullet Punch is for cleaning up, or if you know he is dead this turn, and you want to make sure you get 1 last attack in before you die. Pursuit is such a strong move, because it works perfect attacks pokes that are weak against it, doing a ton of damage, and even better, when you know a poke is going to switch out, it will attack them before they do. In many cases, your opponent will switch out their poke because they dont want you to pullet punch them to get the revenge kill, and so you pursuit, and kill them anyways and they are just like no flippin way. My last move is Aerial Ace. This is a move I NEVER see on scizor, let alone any pokes. I use it because it has the most dmg possible while still being affected by technician, making it even stronger, and because it gives an extra move type that most people don't expect, since flying moves are hardly used. So I can surprise someone who sends in a breloom or something, thinking they are gonna kill my scizor in 2 turns.
Final Note:
So I just wanted to say a few more things. Firstly, this team is currently 10-0. I have played against sun, rain, and sand, along with some creative teams. I have played against a few players who were pretty high ranked, with great records. So this team does work, really well. Next, it isn't all about the team. You need to watch battles, and learn moves that people make, so you can learn to predict. You will never with if you can't predict anything, but at the same time, be careful about over predicting. This team works really well because I can predict a move, and work accordingly, and when I am not sure, the team supplies backup plans. As for the first poke you send out, you need to look at the opponents team. What I like to do is find the poke that I believe is least likely for them to send out, and sound out something weak against that poke, but none of the others. This will usually make them instantly switch out their pokes, giving you the early game advantage. This works, most of the time, for me atleast.
As for weaknesses, atleast the ones I have noticed. There really isn't much so far. I played against another Rotom-W, and he was probably the toughest opponent I faced. I didn't have much to counter Rotom-W, so what I do is send out Latios, and Draco Meteor for that 1hko. That actually works for ALOT of pokes I may be weak against. Something people may think I am weak to is entry hazards, but truth is, if you play correctly, and smart, they aren't much of a threat. Not only do I not have to switch too much since each poke has a pretty wide range of effective moves, but when I see pokes on the opponents team that have entry hazards, I make sure to predict when those pokes will be used and act accordingly. This means, I send out Heatran when I know a forretress is going to be played, allowing me to kill it, or get it switched out. This makes it so at the very most, they get 1 hazard on me, like 1 spike, or stealth rocks, but I kill their poke. If they switch out, I don't kill them, but they don't get the hazard. Aside from that, there haven't really been many threats I have faced, but I guess that is why I am posting on here, to get ideas, or possible threats that I can try to fix. Thanks in advance and sorry for such a long post haha.
