Mewcario, its highly doubtful you've even used your Dewgong set; how else would you think that stockpile gets you to +6/+6 when it only goes to +3/+3? Also, please post a 6-0 dewgong log. anyways, vaporeon's better. Not only does it have better stats and much more powerful surf it can also use haze which is a psuedo-phazing move. Plus a crippling SR and fighting weakness aren't helping Dewgong out at all.

Screw Vaporeon, and so what he made a minor mistake. This Dewgong set is boss so quit hatting.

Also, I'd like to suggest changing Dewgong for a Gastrodon. Actually, I just realized you can run Stockpile Gastrodon. That would mean a set of:

I have actually faced one of these and used this set a multitude of times, and once the Pokemon carrying grass moves are gone, this thing can wall a lot of things while stalling them out with Toxic. Stockpile allows you to setup defense boosts to make Gastrodon unkillable barring crits or grass moves. Earthquake is because it hits more things than Earth Power, most notably specially defensive Jirachi, and can help wear the opponent down. Toxic is your main method of stalling. Recover may not be Rest+Hydration, but it sure is enough considering Gastrodon has only one weakness and significantly more bulk than Dewgong. Surf is also an option if you want a stronger STAB but the inability to break Specially Defensive Jirachi. I hope this helps, and good luck!

I know you said you wouldnt replace Dewgong, but I must agree with some of the other users in that Vaporeon pretty much outclasses dewgong. Vaporeon can run the same exact set since it got Hydration in Dreamworld. Also with Acid Armour you can get to +6 as opposed to +3. As I said before Vaporeon can do the same exact role, only better because its more bulky minus the Stealth rock and fighting weaknesses. So, im recommending this set:
Vaporeon (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Hydration
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 80 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf/Scald
- Rest
- Toxic
- Acid Armor

i don't get why everybody is wining about vaporeon. just use a whiscash and you'll be good. you can use a dd set for offensive power but i suggetst a more bulky one with: rest toxic, scald/surf,protect. it has won me a lot of matches and imo it is better than dewgong bcoz it only has 1 weakness and better defences:) the bad thing is that you dont use stockpile. but maybe it can learn it and you swap it with protect.but

Scarf Dragonite? Umm, yeah, you're insane. Not to mention a Dewgong... You really need Skarm or Ferro to prevent a clean sweep by Haxorus, Dragonite, or Salamence.

Thanks for the suggestion! And thanks for the sprites! Gastrodon would fill a nice slot, only thing is, unlike dewgong, it can't heal status's. Gastrodon seems to be toxic bait IMO, but it's worth a try!
