Pet Mod Fusion Evolution Alpha (Metagame Updates and Closure!)

It shouldn't be. Stellar made a mistake when voting.
It wasn't entirely my fault. You were the one who said it was good as it was, apparently overlooking the fact that they still weren't separated into two voting brackets. I have now fixed this.

That said, here's my corrected votes:
First pick for Pair 1: OPStellar {Groudon / Vulpix + Cherrim / Kartana}
Second pick for Pair 1: transwiththeplans {Exeggutor-Alola / Pelipper + Clawitzer / Kingdra}
Third pick for Pair 1: anaconja {Porygon2 / Dragalge + Incineroar / Crabominable}

First pick for Pair 2: Showjanni {Tapu Koko / Grimmsnarl +Tornnadus-Therian / Raichu-Alola}
Second pick for Pair 2: G-Luke {Abomasnow / Rillaboom + Stoutland / Mamoswine}
Third pick for Pair 2: OPStellar {Sandaconda / Krookodile + Probopass / Palossand}

I'm having a stroke with this voting system (there are identical submissions getting category 1 and 2 votes...?)

But I saw these enough when counting votes for my own votes to make them win so:

Aquatic's Rain Pair
Anaconja's Trick Room Pair

I'll handle voting from here on out, and I'd really hope we can get through future voting phases within a few days. Sorry for the overall inactivity on my end. Next slate will be up in a few.

NEXT SLATE:
4 FREE SLOTS

After this slate, we will be at 34 fusions in the metagame, which is the right time to start playtesting. This slate will function more like standard FE, with the top 4 submissions winning. All fusions are in the same voting category. Just because this is like normal FE does not mean we do not expect the same quality of submissions the rest of this project has had. Please try to list what roles your submissions fulfill and why this is good for the meta. No megas, please.

New Ability: Honey Neigh = (Grim Neigh + Honey Gather)
Ability Description: Has the effects of both abilites
Notable/Relevant/Useful Moves:

: Bug Buzz, Shadow Ball, Dark Pulse
: Tailwind, Nasty Plot, Will-O-Wisp
Role Justification: After getting some feedback, I realized I might have made Spectrum too good. Rather than do the sane thing and swap out the horse, I replaced the firefly with a bee. It practically needs specs to survive, and its speed is lower. However if this thing gets momentum going then this horse to be beckoned will be a horse to be reckoned ... with. The other issue is that it's very predictable given that it has a grand total of three special attacking moves it can use, but hey that's one more than Spectrier anyway. You can also try setting up with nasty plot, best of luck to you there.

: Moonlight, Teleport, Spikes, Toxic Spikes
Role Justification: Here's a special bug type perfect for any occasion. It has some nice moves, a decent amount of utility, and uhh it's a bug type. It's ability is okay, I mean it doesn't add much but it's there. I uhh really don't know what else to say about this thing.

:Fake out I guess
: Power Gem, Dazzling Gleam, Thunderbolt, Sludge Wave, Sludge Bomb, Psychic, Psyshock, Meteor Beam, Dark Pulse, Burning Jealousy
: Nasty Plot, Stealth Rock, Toxic Spikes, Parting Shot
Role Justification: Alright so this thing is pretty neat. Sure it has a lot of weaknesses, especially to fighting but it still has a place here. It can pull the role of a hazard setting lead pretty well by setting em up, calling the opponent a wack ass, and runnng away. It can also pull the role of a choice specs sweeper with its speed. Aside from that a good punch oughta kill this boi.

New Ability: Fire Shield = (Flash Fire + Shields Down)
Ability Description: Has the effects of both
Notable/Relevant/Useful Moves:
: Stone Edge, U-Turn, Rock Slide, Earthquake, Explosion, Flare Blitz, Iron Head, Rapid Spin, Acrobatics
: Power Gem, Dazzling Gleam, Psychic, Scald, Fire Blast, Earth Power
: Shell Smash, Stealth Rock, Spikes, Will-O-Wisp
Role Justification: This is a weird one to be sure. When looking at this thing there's a lot of questions the first of which is, why not a fire type. The answer to that is simple, as a slow set up sweeper with an HP based ability, Rock/Fire might not be the best for that with the quad ground and water weaknesses. This more so exists in a similar vain as minior itself, where you smash that shell so hard it falls off and then you go from 0 to hero. I did plan for a minior/serperior fusion but then I realized, it would have been too fast.

:swsh/cherrim::swsh/kartana::swsh/cherrim-sunshine:Formerly 'Chertana.' Now…
Considered the greatest of the heroes… the champion of the Olympian order against terrible monsters… known for his extraordinary strength, courage and cleverness.
DNA Donors: Cherrim / Kartana
Shared Egg Group: Origami
Offspring Name: Heracles
New Types:

Base Stats: 74 / 120 / 103 / 74 / 74 / 103 [BST: 548] (+10 HP / +3 Def / +1 SpA / +20 SpD / +6 Spe)
New Ability: Beast Flower = (Flower Gift + Beast Boost)
Standard Flower Gift effects, plus: If sunlight is active, Beast Boost effect additionally raises Special Defense and Attack each by 1 stage (never 2 stages).
… Solar Blade, Leaf Blade, X-Scissor, Psycho Cut, Sacred Sword, Smart Strike, Knock Off, Play Rough, Grassy Glide
… Air Slash, Vacuum Wave, Weather Ball (for FIRE/ICE/ROCK/WATER coverage)
… Synthesis, Morning Sun, Growth, Defog, Leech Seed, Aromatherapy, Nature Power, Grassy Terrain, Swords Dance, Iron Defense, Healing Wish

Role Justification: I admit it would be one boost too far for it to get a free Swords Dance and Special Defense boost just for knocking something out, so… yeah. No stacking.
It's quite capable of holding its own without requiring weather, and it has more than decent utility. About time the scissors learned Solar Blade, not just Leaf Blade…
Weather Abuser, Physical Sweeper, Fire Weakness
I nerfed it so that it's not Steel type, making it a glass cannon… made of paper.

Sample Set (standard sweeper):
Heracles @ Black Belt (or Assault Vest/Choice Band/Choice Scarf, if you don't care to use status moves)

New Base Stats: 80 / 131 / 82 / 58 / 77 / 100 [BST: 528] (+0 HP / +15 Atk / +10 Def / +0 SpA / +10 SpD / +5 Spe)
New Ability and Desc: Early Bird + Sheer Force = Violent Haste: This pokemon ignores the charging turn on two-turn moves.
Notable Moves:
Knock Off, Sky Attack, Skull Bash, Close Combat, Rock Slide, Iron Head, U-turn
nope.
Swords Dance, Agility, Roost, Bulk Up, Defog
Role Identification: Choice Band, Choice Scarf, Set-up Sweeper
Justification: Dodriary is a powerful attacker whose talent unlocks two great stabs for him in Skull Bash and Sky Attack. This gives a power level similar to Staraptor but with much better longevity since it doesn’t have to take recoil anymore. It will want to spam its STABs with a choice item on for high damage, with Close Combat for coverage and U-Turn to pivot. Can also run Swords Dance to raise its power level even more, but its average speed and bulk mean it can be rk’d by most of the offensive threats of the tier (Zeus, Pluto, Ananke, Frother). Doesn’t appreciate rocks chip.

DNA Donors/ Parents: Whimsicott / Masquerain
Offspring Name: Mascott
New Types:
Fairy-type

New Base Stats: 85 / 63 / 93 / 88 / 78 / 98 [BST: 485] (+20 HP / +0 Atk / +20 Def / +0 SpA / +0 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability and Desc: Prankster + Intimidate = Impertinent: This pokemon’s status moves have their priority raised by 1, but dark types are immune. Using a status move lowers the attack of opponents by 1 stage.
Notable Moves:
U-turn
Ice Beam, Scald, Bug Buzz, Moonblast
Sticky Web, Defog, Leech Seed, Encore, Cotton Guard, Taunt, Tailwind, Memento, Switcheroo, Stun Spore, Haze, Roost, (Quiver Dance)
Role Identification: Webs Setter, Utility, Defensive Pivot
Justification: I made Mascott to be the first Webs Setter of the roster, that can enable slower offense mons. It is less one-dimensional than your usual hazards setter, thanks to its ability to force certain physical attackers out simply by clicking roost or cotton guard, while prankster haze provides set-up check. It will probably suffer from four move-slots syndrome, and will have to be tuned to counter specific threats (it can’t do it all at once). The presence of 2 defiant users in the metagame should make this pokemon not too prevalent, and more of a niche pick, as scarf Sir Pass’d completely takes advantage of this mon (for example). Though it has Quiver Dance, I trust that its low stats and inability to hit Steels will not steer Mascott in that direction.

DNA Donors/ Parents: Pinsir / Excadrill
Offspring Name: Sir. Drill
New Types:

New Base Stats: 102 / 135 / 95 / 57 / 92 / 91 [BST: 572] (+15 HP / +5 Atk / +15 Def / +5 SpA / +25 SpD / +5 Spe)
New Ability and Desc: Mold Breaker + Mold Breaker
Notable Moves:
Earthquake, X-Scissor, Knock Off, Close Combat, Rapid Spin, Stone Edge, Iron Head, Poison Jab
.
Stealth Rock, Swords Dance, Bulk Up
Role Identification: Suicide Lead, Cleaner, Set-up Sweeper
Justification: Fairly straightforward: an offense lead made to counter Saturn defensive teams. Basically Excadrill with slightly more bulk, speed, and better coverage. Still very threatening, thanks to its access to SD and Rapid Spin to sweep, but definitely has its answers (look no further than Kratos). Also, you may have noticed my submissions try to fill the typing gaps of the tier, this one included.

DNA Donors/ Parents: Rhyperior / Noctowl
Offspring Name: Atlas
New Types:
Normal

New Base Stats: 127 / 95 / 100 / 80 / 75 / 55 [BST: 499] (+20 HP / +0 Atk / +10 Def / +10 SpA / +0 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability and Desc: Solid Rock + Tinted Lens = Stoic: This Pokemon receives halved damage from supereffective attacks.
Notable Moves:
Body Slam, Stone Edge, Rock Blast, Earthquake, Body Press
Ice Beam, Fire Blast
Stealth Rock, Defog, Roost, Roar
Role Identification: Hazard Control, Phazer, Physical Wall
Justification: Interesting wall. Virtually has a sole weakness (fighting), but with the resists of Rock type. Excellent physical bulk that will rarely get 2hKOed unless the opponent is boosted. However, the rather meh resistances of the Rock type means it doesn’t resist the dual stabs of many offensive mons of the tier (bar Teepee thanks to its normal type). It especially hates special Composite, and its lower special bulk means it isn’t unkillable. Can use body press for good damage, body slam for para, or the random coverage move to counter specific threats. I recommend running Roar to avoid being passive against set-up sweepers.

Role Justification: Castform has a wide range of coverage but not much else, and not great stats. Spectrier has amazing stats and a wide range of set-up and utility options, but absolute lack of coverage holds it back. Combine the two and you've got something that is interesting yet balanced, with Castform lowering the fusion's stats, but giving it a ton of coverage.
We already have Rain so regular and Rainy forms could be used without running weather moves.

Some sort of Meteor Beam breaker or some funny Resto-Chesto stuff. We also have no special rocks and Meteor Beam is the coolest move ever.

New Ability: Storm Warning = (Snow Warning + Transistor)
Ability Description: The User summons Hail on Switch-in, and summons Hail when using an Electric-type attack.
Notable/Relevant/Useful Moves:
Rapid Spin, Triple Axel, Wild Charge, Foul Play
Blizzard, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, Psyshock, Moonblast
Calm Mind, Nasty Plot, Aurora Veil,
Role Justification: Nineleki serves as as both a weather disruptor as well as a weather set-up Fusion, as Hail Support with Aurora Veil is just too good not to pass up. Nineleki serves as the fastest Fusion in the tier, which enables its ability to set up Aurora Veil. However, Nineleki has a terrible defensive weakness and is prone to being taken out easily.

Fused Mons: Calyrex-Ice + Archen
Fusion Name: Calyrex-Irchen
Roles: Agility/Rock Polish Setup Sweeper, Physical Breaker, Slow Band Pivot
Type: Ice/Rock
Stats: 90/138/110/80/100/60 (Total: 578)
Ability: Defeated One
Ability Description: Acts as As One (Glastrier) until the user falls below half HP, which causes it to act as just Unnerve.
Notable Moves:
Physical: Glacial Lance, Head Smash, Stone Edge, Close Combat, Earthquake, Seed Bomb, Zen Headbutt, Dual Wingbeat, Knock Off, U-Turn, Megahorn, Aqua Tail
Special: Heat Wave
Status: Hone Claws, Swords Dance, Roost, Agility, Rock Polish, Tailwind, Speed Swap, Trick Room, Taunt, Encore, Leech Seed, Switcheroo, Stealth Rock, Aromatherapy, Reflect, Light Screen
Role Justification: With a high Attack stat, two very powerful STAB options, and a solid amount of coverage to threaten various things in the metagame that don't die to its STAB combo, its primary goal is to get its Speed up so it can tear through the competition. And, if you can do so without getting too low on the HP front, you have a snowballing ability you can abuse. With that being said, while you have decent bulk to potentially set up with, it doesn't change the fact that Ice/Rock is one of the worst defensive typings in the game, which means many things can threaten to knock you out of the range of snowballing or even flat out OHKO. You can opt to run double dance with SD and Agility/Rock Polish, but you sacrifice either coverage or STAB to do so. You can also run this as a powerful Banded mon with U-Turn for pivoting or Trick/Switcheroo for crippling walls.

New Ability: Data Breach = (Download + Trace)
Ability Description: User copies the opponent's stat changes on switch-in.
Notable/Relevant/Useful Moves:
Blaze Kick, Double-Edge, Extreme Speed, Explosion, Leech Life, U-turn
Bug Buzz, Dark Pulse, Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Tri-Attack
Nasty Plot, Recover, Shift Gear, Trick
Role Justification: Rootkit is an effective Choice-item user and pivot. Its access to STAB U-turn and Extreme Speed let it effectively pivot or revenge kill. It also has a ton of special coverage for potential switch-ins and Trick to handicap bulky walls. Its ability even lets match speed with anything that may have increased its speed using speed buffs. However, it's held back by its mediocre STAB combination and its weakness to Stealth Rocks, limiting its opportunities to switch-in (it can run Heavy Duty Boots, but then loses its fast U-turn). It has access to some excellent setup moves, but lacks the physical coverage for Shift Gear and the speed for Nasty Plot.

New Ability: Star Athlete = (Libero + Unburden)
Ability Description: Speed is doubled and type is changed to the type of move in the first slot on held item loss; boost and type are lost if it switches, gets new item/Ability.
Notable/Relevant/Useful Moves:
Acrobatics, Close Combat, Flare Blitz, Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Stone Edge, Thunder Punch, Throat Chop
Grass Knot
Roost, Substitute, Swords Dance, Taunt
Role Justification: Olympian is a flexible Unburden sweeper. Star Athlete, Olympian's ability, is mostly used to acquire STAB Acrobatics, but it can use any move from its plethora of physical coverage to surprise potential switch-ins. However, its attack is still too low to pull of sweeps too easily, and its frailty allows it to be revenge killed easily. Grass Knot is listed as a notable move since it hits Uranus pretty hard (stop laughing) and can 2HKO on a predicted switch-in (0 SpA Olympian Grass knot (100 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Uranus: 272-320 (64.1 - 75.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO).

New Ability: Plant Power = (Regenerator + Volt Absorb)
Ability Description: Effects of both abilities
Notable/Relevant/Useful Moves:
Rapid Spin
Giga Drain, Energy Ball, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Leaf Storm, Scald, Surf, Volt Switch
Aromatherapy, Heal Bell, Leech Seed, Sleep Powder, Synthesis, Thunder Wave, Toxic
Role Justification: Special Wall, Cleric, and AV user. Its typing and the Volt Absorb component of its ability let it take on most of the Special Wallbreakers, like Beezone and Toxiking, pretty comfortably. Its bulk, ability, and movepool make it extremely compatible with the Assault Vest, Rapid Spin letting act as hazard remover and Volt Switch letting it act as a bulky pivot, thanks to the Regenerator part of its ability. However, running Assault Vest lets it lose out on some of its utility options, like Aromatherapy/Heal Bell, Sleep Powder/Thunder Wave/Toxic, and Synthesis. Furthermore, Luciferin is relatively physically frail, and can be easily taken advantage of by physical setup sweepers or physical breakers like Picante and Black Rider.

New Ability: Crystalize = (Sand Force + Refrigerate)
Ability Description: This Pokemon's Normal-type moves become Rock type and have 1.3x power.
Notable/Relevant/Useful Moves:
U-Turn
Earth Power, Hyper Voice, Ice Beam
I guess Defog and Stealth Rock are good moves, but I don't think this fusion would run either
Role Justification: Mostly a Scarf user. The meta needs Rock mons, so here's a Specially-Oriented Rock mon with fantastic STABs rounded off nicely with Ice Beam as coverage. Its decent Attack allows it to also do valuable chip damage with U-Turn. Lastly, if you really hate Uranus, you can run Freeze-Dry, just not sure if it's worth the damage gap between Dry and Ice Beam

New Ability: Lumberjack = (Mold Breaker + Leaf Guard)
Ability Description: Combined effects of both abilities
Notable/Relevant/Useful Moves:
Knock Off, U-Turn, Earthquake, Close Combat
Swords Dance, Stealth Rock
Role Justification: Made mainly to go face to face against Saturn, but adds a somewhat versatile Bug/Dark with well above average bulk and pretty good Attack. Its Speed isn't bad, but is at a place where a good ammount of the offensive mons of the meta can outspeed it. You can also have Bulk Up sets if you so wish, but not sure how far that will go.

Ability Description: Prankster effects. When at low HP, water moves gain priority
Notable/Relevant/Useful Moves:
Flip Turn, Play Rough, Liquidation
Scald
Stealth Rock, Screens
Role Justification: Bulky Slow Pivot with Prankster Stealth Rock. Can also set screens and get in someone safely through Flip Turn. You can also try to spread status with Thunder Wave but that sounds like a weird gimmicky set for this

Fusion: Glaschamp
Role: Physical Wallbreaker, Physical Sweeper, Speed Booster
Type: Ice/Fighting
Ability: Cold Adrenaline (Chilling Neigh + Steadfast): When the Pokémon knocks out a target, its Speed stat is boosted by 1 stage.
Stat Distribution: 110 / 137 / 110 / 65 / 100 / 59 | BST: 581 (+15 HP, 5 Def, +3 SpD, +17 Spe)
Relevant Moves: Close Combat, Icicle Crash, Swords Dance, Knock Off, Earthquake, Poison Jab, Megahorn, Stone Edge, Bullet Punch, High Horsepower, Darkest Lariat, Icicle Spear, Taunt
Justification: While it starts out slow, its high Attack stat and good offensive typing allows it to KO bulky opponents and gain Speed boosts to steamroll offensive teams. It has a fantastic offensive movepool with multiple move options to super-effectively hit its checks such as Knock Off for Pluto and Teepee, Poison Jab for Fairies, and Earthquake for Doot and Mr. Gross.

Ability Description: Combination of the two

...Dragon Energy, Draco Meteor, Dragon Pulse, Sludge Wave, Sludge Bomb, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Hydro Pump, Scald, Focus Blast,

New Ability: Sand Shark = (Sand Stream + Swarm)
Ability Description: If Sandstorm is active, its attacking stat is multiplied by 1.5 while using a Bug or Rock-type attack. When this Pokemon has 1/3 or less of its maximum HP, rounded down, this Pokemon summons Sandstorm.
Notable/Relevant/Useful Moves:
…Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Megahorn, Earthquake, Superpower, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Aqua Tail.
…Dragon Dance, Swords Dance, Rock Polish, Stealth Rock, Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Thunder Wave.
Role Justification: One of the best mons in the tier has an ability that sets up sand, so an offensive mon that capitalizes on it should be a thing, right?. Mainly a wallbreaker, spamming Sand Shark boosted Megahorns and Stone Edges, tho I can see set up sets being a thing thanks to its not so bad speed and sand boosted special bulk and access to dragon dance and swords dance. Still, remember that Rock/Bug is straight up bad defensively, only offering 2 resistances to normal and poison.
