After many months of playtesting, we are at a point where new buffs and nerfs are in order! The metagame has been mostly stablizing well, but a few pokémon are still either underperforming or too dominant.
We have also decided to take a new approach to balance patches. With the recent surge in popularity, we figured it'd be most ideal if Council presents the playerbase what changes we have in mind, and before said changes are applied, the community discusses them, gives feedback on what works and what doesn't, and may suggest their own idea on how said Pokémon can be changed. This allows us to hear frommore perspectives as well as keeping an active discussion for the mod. With that out of the way...
With Mega Sol Valiant, we discussed the possibility of it simply being banned (an option that's still possible, mind you), but we also felt that as good as it is currently, it doesn't feel quite as overwhelmingly broken to the point that a stat nerf woldn't be possiible - As well as the fact it keeps some notable threats in check, such as Lelecuno and Anoraidon. As such, we propose the following stat changes as a possible nerf:
70 / 130 / 80 / 100 / 60 / 100 ---> 70 / 130 /
76 /
98 / 60 /
96
70 / 150 / 80 / 140 / 60 / 140 ---> 70 / 150 /
76 /
138 / 60 /
136
The main idea behind this is that by removing all of its stat changes, it is more easily outsped, becoming a little easier to handle
In the case of a Mega Sol Valiant ban though, we instead propose a buff to the base form, with the following stat spread:
70 / 130 / 80 / 100 / 60 / 100 ---> 70 / 130 / 80 / 100 / 60 /
110
As well as a possible ability change to:
Baryon Blade (Super Luck + Quark Drive) = Effects of both abilities. While Quark Drive is active, +1 crit stage.
While not a particularly broken mon, we feels as though Sharpness has been making it hit a little harder than we'd like. We propose a small drop in its Attack stat
76 / 121 / 77 / 90 / 68 / 97 ---> 76 /
116 / 77 / 90 / 68 / 97
At the time of its creation, Lurantis lacked Superpower, so Revarantis' main way of boosting its offenses was through Leaf Storm and Overheat. However, since the DLC's addition of Superpower to its moveset, Revarantis has pivoted to Superpower + Spin Out as its set of choice, with little reason to run Special Attacks. We thus decided it'd be for the best if it dropped the Special Attack investments and redistributed it to bulk instead, so that it can have an easier time setting up
75 / 112 / 90 / 87 / 78 / 67 --->
85 / 112 / 90 /
67 /
88 / 67
Tapu Titan has been underperforming a little as an offensive threat. We intend to increase its offensive potential, with one of the following stat changes:
130 / 131 / 90 / 65 / 75 / 74 --->
120 /
141 / 90 / 65 / 75 / 74
130 / 131 / 90 / 65 / 75 / 74 --->
120 / 131 / 90 / 65 / 75 /
84
Primeleo used to be a pretty potent Choice Scarf user, but as the meta went on, it fell off a little. We aim at increasing its Speed so that it may return to its role as a powerful Scarfer
101 / 125 / 83 / 86 / 79 / 96 ---> 101 / 125 / 83 / 86 / 79 /
106
We thought base form has been underperforming and are considering giving Mega the new niche of being the fastest Pokémon around, outspeeding even Toedieleki
89 / 95 / 79 / 103 / 79 / 121 ---> 89 /
97 / 79 /
91 / 79 /
136
89 / 125 / 99 / 113 / 99 / 141 ---> 89 /
127 / 99 /
101 / 99 /

Brambleswine has been underperforming for a little while so we figured it'd be appreciated to have an immunity to Wind moves, added to what it currently has
Squall: On top of its current effects, this ability now also has the effects of Wind Rider

Ever since the DLC brought back Expanding Force, Lelecuno has been a massive threat, only truly being held in check by fellow meta threat Mega Sol Valiant. We are looking at ways to nerf this mon while still keeping its terrain-setting business
90 / 85 / 85 / 127 / 107 / 99 ---> 90 / 85 /
80 / 127 / 107 /
95
We have also discussed the possibility of changing its typing to incorporate
, removing its own boost from the terrain.

Anoraidon is a very difficult Pokémon to work around. It doesn't have many stat investments and both its typing and ability are pretty essential dor it to function. We considered addressing its dominance by simply buffing its competition rather than directly nerfing Anoraidon. Still, the following two changes were discussed:
Mercury Pulse --->
Drizzle
--->
We ultimately were not quite satisfied with either of these, though
Keep in mind, all of the above changes are currently only proposals. The goal of this post is to show our players what we currently have in mind and ask for feedback - be it whether these ideas seem practical, whether you have your own suggestion or whether there's a Pokémon you'd like to see channges for that doesn't show up on this list. Whatever the case, use the thread or discord to discuss these.
New Ability:
Erratic (Defiant + Moody) = When this Pokemon has a stat lowered by an opponent, it raises a random stat by 2.
This is our
one exception to the new feedback process, and will instead be done immediately. Simply put, the current ability is uncompetitive and there's no real worth in it being discussed
