Pet Mod Fusion Evolution [Gen 9] - Final Winners! | Closure | Randbats Sets Wokshop open!

feru_slate.jpg

:iron moth::sinistcha: - Only cool guy this slate. One of the coolest Moth fusions subbed period and also a good mon in its own right. Matcha Gotcha is a broken move and singlehandedly carries this mon's offensive kit.

:aerodactyl::walking wake: - Would be a pretty nice mon (though the overlap with Legion is real). However, it won in the same slate as Anoraidon, and this mon is INSANELY broken in Rain lol. Hyperfast base Speed, Water STAB, 100% accurate STAB Hurricanes, can't be outsped by Booster Energy mons: this mon has literally everything. Either it or Anoraidon (or both) will need nerfs in the future.

:anorith::koraidon: - My guy. Tbh I think this mon is kinda busted. Those U-Turns are chunking for insane amounts, it enables Rain to the nth (especially with Wake), and SD sets kinda just win against slower teams (SD Fighting move Koff Tantrum is the set btw). Would've probably been fine on its own, but with Wake over Legion on Rain squads it's prob too much.

:lugia::furret: - What the fuck. Why did this win? it's literally just Decidulax (already an unpopular mon) but again, except with an objectively worse defensive profile lol. Good mon design! Good voting! Nice going guys! I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP I LOVE TIDY UP

:deoxys-speed::aegislash: - Like am I crazy or is this just... not good? Pretty much takes Aegislash and removes all of its good traits. Bad offensive typing, mediocre defensive typing, high speed means it's left vulnerable to opponents after attacking making it a bad abuser of Stance Change. I have no idea what the submitter was cooking when they claimed this guy abused Stance Change well lmao, I'd literally take base Aegi over this. Probably still gonna run it as a hazard lead tho (i LOVE deodon!!)

:tapu lele::articuno-galar: - It sure does psyspam.

:overqwil::gyarados: - Mid incarnate. The sheer amount of Intim blocking in this meta is downright insane, and this mon offers very little else outside of that. Almost 100% gonna be forgotten within the week.

:overqwil::gyarados-mega: - Even worse than base somehow. What does this mon DO???? Like actually how is it so weirdly lacking in every aspect. If this got Roost or something there'd be hope but as-is I'm never running it.

:garchomp::shiftry: - I'm not a believer. Loses to Belli (who also beats Corv), loses to Anoraidon. This just ain't a very good mon even in Sand.

:garchomp-mega::shiftry: - Heat but still not good lol. Run it if you're a real one (best koff absorber ever).

Pretty terrible slate, but definitely has that good old FE vibe. Council really should have tiebroken the 5 vote mons but ig we'll just have to live with that decision.

:iron moth::sinistcha: - a perfectly fine guy, i suppose. matcha gotcha fucked up and evil etc etc

:aerodactyl::walking wake: - this guy seems cool. i think. personally. a little scarier than i intended given the addition of rain. otherwise yeah i can't really think of what else to say about it that i didnt say when subbing the thing

:anorith::koraidon: - we really let a mon named "anal ride on" win a slate huh

:lugia::furret: - why

:deoxys-speed::aegislash: - weird aegislash. sure. seems neat as a fast np guy or whatever

:tapu lele::articuno-galar: - god i hope this doesn't get expanding force ever

:overqwil::gyarados: - fine mon. was under the apparently mistaken impression that this was dark/water, lmao. lc is funny as hell. not that i think it's like. good

:overqwil::gyarados-mega: - the mega ever

:garchomp::shiftry: - my weird fucked up son. i believe in him

:garchomp-mega::shiftry: - the other mega ever

:iron moth::sinistcha: - Got the most votes and its so valid for that. Probably a bit weak overall due to an awkward second attack but u can bully bad teams with CM sets regardless

:aerodactyl::walking wake: - Server is having a normal one with this winner. Somehow they have collectively gaslit themselves into thinking a 103 SpA hurricane is impossible to switch into. send medical help asap. free the mega

:anorith::koraidon: - rain slate expect big pert to either turn out shit or end up banned after the next room tour

:lugia::furret: - ???

:deoxys-speed::aegislash: - Calling shitmon here, stab combo is dire and this is basically a slightly tuned-up deodon (noted mid mon). Dont run this as a suicide lead, you would be throwing

:tapu lele::articuno-galar: - Nice to have a competent faster psychic at least

:overqwil::gyarados: - Doesnt this have no flying stab? No knock? No recovery? what does bro DO? another cool drop tho

:overqwil::gyarados-mega: - Uncripple this bitch

:garchomp::shiftry: - let it win so it can drop... but it could be cool on sand

:garchomp-mega::shiftry: - same as above. will be such a sick top tier in feuu2

Lurret Lurret Lurret Lurret Lurret Lurret Lurret Lurret (every single person who voted for this will begin to cough in 3 hours)

Edit: Actually I hate all of you truly I hope u fart loudly in ur next 4 job interviews and it stinks because you all said Flutter Rain is not worthy of winning but Lurret is what the hell is wrong with you people

:iron-moth: :poltchageist: good grass filler that I believe we were missing. Great into quite a few mons due to its insane movepool, you can either go bulky tspikes or cm matcha, since matcha is broken af. Other grasses like celedos okiferro definitely suffer from its creation however since it’s just really good, with it being unkillable to those two. Stargrowth however is stargrowth, but this definitely creates less of a reason to use it imo, while it still being good. A tier mon

:aerodactyl: :walking-wake: it is good to have with our recently introduced rain. Great coverage and strong stabs make it a potent mon for rain. Unfortunately I feel it is confined to rain as its spa stat doesn’t really help it outside. It’s other traits are quite nice tho is def a at least b tier mon

:anorith: :koraidon: my only real qualms about this is that it is another physical fighting type, otherwise it is a rain mon but is a poor enabler of such. Sure you can run uturn with bulk and extender but it is no Peli. Otherwise the fact it can set rain, its attack stat is pretty high since freee attack boost, and has uturn knock, overall b + ish mon

:furret: :lugia: it is not my fault this got in if you all didn’t vote it didn’t get in.. clearly not my fault.

Otherwise it can click tidy up and click uturn and knock. Despite the fact of it having a terrible typing I feel it isn’t the worst mon defensively since multi scale is an amazing ability, and it has competent bulk stats + roost knock uturn and even tidy up for removal if you need it. C tier but it’s usable

:deoxys-speed: :aegislash: really don’t see where all the shitmon allegations r coming from. This thing has 120 spa and 120 speed and god isn’t close enough to save you from np boosted psycho boosts. Plus the fact it can pretty easily get these off vs some more passive pokemon. The only thing I’m sad about is that you can’t run cosmic power taunt because you don’t have a fixed damage move available. One of deods greatest sets. Solid b

:tapu-lele: :articuno-galar: omg le based based based… he has done it again… osp will you marry me…… (b or b +, imo a since op af)

:overqwil: :gyarados: has no utility outside of twave, really don’t like it that much, same goes with mega but the mega is pretty good bulky ddancer. We don’t talk about fishkarp. Tbh base has a good typing but not enough to use it. C tier, mega is B+. The fish is banned from lc

:shiftry: :garchomp: a much better sand abuser, both forms are viable, with mega clicking scale shot and winning as there are no switchins outside of pyuk. While base it definitely a mon, mega overshadows it. Base is c ish mega is b+

With how decent a lot of the submission were on this slate I can't help but feel that people voted some of the absolute worse options available.

:iron moth::sinistcha: - Closest thing to a real mon. Looks pretty good into many things especially because of matcha gotcha, but we still gotta wait until we see it in practice.

:aerodactyl::walking wake: - Giga Shitmon I don't know why people are freaking out about this thing. Free the mega it ain't do nothing wrong. Edit: holy shti looking atthe mega stabs the mega is legit worse than all our other water megas.

:anorith::koraidon: - Mega Goopert can finally pretend to not be Mega Garp. Besides that this mon is kinda crazy, Hits stupid hard and its only competition for weather is Urshiluxe, which this beats easily. Lets see if it gets nerfed soon.

:lugia::furret: - LMAO and here I was "oh I want to vote Kingigas but its best that I vote real mons instead of gimmicks like others" only for this to get in.

:deoxys-speed::aegislash: - I feel its overhated, 120 speed is decent and with Nasty Plot and Deoxy's coverage it can be decent, especially since its the fast psychic type.

:tapu lele::articuno-galar: - It sure do be psypam on a can. I don't actually remember if this has Eforce yet or if we are waiting for DLC but either way its a decently fast psychic at least.

:overqwil::gyarados: - The worse dark flying of the slate. Only saving grace is toxic but yeez this mon is looking dire as fuck.

:overqwil::gyarados-mega: - It maybe can work as a decent DD sweeper? I think its lack of Stabs hurts it too much tho

:garchomp::shiftry: - Not impressed, Sand still looks mid and this mon doesn't really beat many of the mons that give sands problems. With Anoraidon on the meta, Sand looks even more hopeless than before.

:garchomp-mega::shiftry: - Still not impressed.

:iron moth::sinistcha: - Epic mon. Good defensive typing and STAB Gatcha Matcha is neat. Should work as a good set-up sweeper with defensive utility.
:aerodactyl::walking wake: - Works well enough in rain, but otherwise might be too weak.
:anorith::koraidon: - 115 Attack with that ability is crazy. At least it doesn’t get Water STAB. We were talking about a rain setter but I didn’t expect it to be this optimized lol. I did vote for it so I can’t complain.
:lugia::furret: - This is literally just worse Lugizar. I can’t believe you people didn’t vote for that instead. It’s decently fast with good utility and Multiscale, but that typing kinda ruins it. Tidy Up isn’t really a distinct niche lol.
:deoxys-speed::aegislash: - I don’t think this mon is that bad. I did vote for it because I liked it switching between bulky fast and offensive fast, working as a suicide lead or set-up sweeper. Yeah switching into your frail form first most of the time when attacking kinda sucks but if you plot enough you might OHKO so that’s not an issue! I think. Suicide leads are a bit more rough but I think with max HP it shouldn’t be too bad. Typing isn’t fantastic but it’s still Steel.
:tapu lele::articuno-galar: - This doesn’t even get Expanding Force so what is the point to this mon exactly? It sure is a powerful Psychic! Idk if PsyTerrain is that necessary of a niche but what do I know.
:overqwil::gyarados: - Idk about this. Defensive typing, bulk, and Intimidate is cool but this has no recovery and it has poor STABs so I’m not sure.
:overqwil::gyarados-mega: - Wow I sure love pure Dark with Crunch as my only STAB option! No item is just the cherry on top! It has big stats to be fair but I don’t think it’s worth it.
:garchomp::shiftry: - Seems alright. I like mixed attackers and I would prefer any sand sweeper over Corvizolt. Being walled by Fairies kinda sucks tho. Offensive typing really isn’t that impressive lol.
:garchomp-mega::shiftry: - Competes extremely hard with mega Overgyara so that’s a funny coincidence. This has an actual STAB and the ability to go special but the bulk is way worse. Also 81 speed makes it seem like it’s forced to do Dragon Dance anyways.

:iron moth::sinistcha: - Probably the best sub that got in from the bunch, it may feel like a budget :venusaur-mega:, but it can fill offensive and defensive roles.

:aerodactyl::walking wake: - This isn't concerningly strong in rain, lol, worry about :Iron Bundle::Basculegion: and :Goodra-Hisui::Swampert-Mega: on that. Anyways, this is a nice anti-meta mon.

:anorith::koraidon: - Rain is here and will definitely change the meta, if Teras were legal I bet this'd have a lot of sets, but as it's not, it's going to just be a rain pivot, sweeper sets seem more situational.

:lugia::furret: - On retrospective Tidy Up is quite overrated, and this speed tying with base :Absol::Iron Valiant: (especially when competing with Booster Energy after a Tidy Up) can be annoying, a lack of a good Normal STAB since Return is dexit'd by the rules of this mod also does no favors.

:deoxys-speed::aegislash: - Y'all haven't seen Speed invested :Aegislash: from what I've seen, this can just preserve its bulk by doing setup first then hitting hard, I'd say it could even be used as a wall, but its HP is still a bit poor to be downright used as a wall per-say.

:tapu lele::articuno-galar: - A potent Defog punisher, huh? INB4 this gets Expanding Force in DLC2 and ends up having to be nerfed.

:overqwil::gyarados: - TBH this is the biggest waste of a meta slot, as it has been said before this has no moves of note besides hazards, legit just use :Ampharos::Salamence: (sorry for confusing it with :Corviknight::Dracozolt: in my earlier post, lol) instead unless you want hazards so badly, in which case run either :Delibird::Miraidon: (Spikes) or :Roaring Moon::Salazzle: (Toxic Spikes), running both at once is quite a waste for something that doesn't even force out relevant hazard removers.

:overqwil::gyarados-mega: - This is even worse, only real niche is Mold Breaker Earthquake and otherwise is entirely outclassed by :Absol-Mega::Iron Valiant:.

:garchomp::shiftry: - Yay, :Dracozolt::Houndoom: 2, really boring IMO, all this does is remove any niche whatsoever of :Corviknight::Dracozolt: in this meta, please rework :Corviknight::Dracozolt: while we're at it at this point, BTW.

:garchomp-mega::shiftry: - I doubt this'd see much use, :Steelix::Tyranitar: is right there, with innate STABs giving a bigger multiplier than only Sand Force, and speaking of which...

:garchomp-mega::shiftry: - Competes extremely hard with mega Overgyara so that’s a funny coincidence. This has an actual STAB and the ability to go special but the bulk is way worse. Also 81 speed makes it seem like it’s forced to do Dragon Dance anyways.

...This doesn't get Dragon Dance, Scale Shot would be the play, but as we've seen in NatDex that kind of strategies are quite inconsistent, wouldn't recommend.

So, as you may kno, duo to the voting bot making a mistake, Lurret and Lelecuno were removed from the winners list. We made a quick tiebreaker vote to allow people to replace these two losses with any of the Pokémon who were previously tied at 4 votes. So, with that all done, allow me to introduce you to our final final winners:

LELECUNO-GALAR

1701401915127.png

CHIMCHARIG

Fire.png

65 / 75 / 55 / 75 / 55 / 75
Fire Drinker - Immune to Fire and Grass-type moves. +1 Attack when hit by either. Blaze effects.

Lelecuno - 7
Farinape - 7

Flutter Rain -6

Accel Pao - 2

Kingigigas - 1
Lurret - 1

Per people's request, we have also decided to Unban Mega Aero Wake. As for what's next, we do plan on doing playtesting tours sometime soon. However, since the Indigo Disk DLC is dropping soon and that will affect our movepools, it would be wiser to wait until the DLC drops first. We will keep you informed whenever we have any further news.

Farinape is really mid but its not Lurret.

Why yall hate Flutter Rain man (not that good in retrospect)
It's legit just :Ribombee: 2, the meta isn't in a particular need of practically a vanilla mon in disguise like the :Gliscor::Claydol: incident, maybe if it did something more of note it'd be considerable given the competition it had this slate, although I'm aware it technically had a niche, but a rather minor one either way IMO.

Anyways, this new voting was never announced beforehand here, so it seems rather inappropiate for the process this was taken as I wasn't given even a chance to vote, more importantly...

:Farigiraf::Infernape: - I still think that this may be slightly weak, being immune to punching moves is also quite useless beyond having a good match-up with :Primeape::Solgaleo:, still a good sub in any case.

With the DLC's Part 2 dropping, a lot of movepool changes have happened to our Pokémon. The following is a full list of the movepool chanegs

:Lairon::Reshiram: Okay, now this is just a shitmon, please evolve it to Aggram, maybe even free the mega too TBH.

:Tapu Lele::Articuno-Galar: This is a brokemon now, huh? Only time will tell if it really needs a rework, although it's fairly likely.

:Gengar::Cryogonal: Sludge Wave isn't that big on it, it should generally use Sludge Bomb anyways as the poisoning chance is far higher and is better than the slightly higher damage output, as much Scald is often used over Surf even on offensive mons.

:Revavroom::Lurantis: It sure is a shame :Varoom::Fomantis: doesn't get Temper Flare too, but at least now this has more viability.

Meteor Beam is also a bit too overrated judging by the constant bolding of it, non-STAB Meteor Beam is mid and over half of the remotely viable users are weak to Stealth Rock too, :Iron Treads::Skeledirge: works better as a sweeper of this sort TBH.

Is this still open? If not, if and/or when will it happen again?

This version of Fusion Evolution is no longer open for submissions, no. We do have plans to make more Fusion mods in the future, but for now we don't have a set date yet. If you want to keep up with all the news, join our discord (Linked in the first post of the thread)

Hello. It is time for a long overdue change.

Weezluna-Bloodmoon.png

Air Control: This Pokemon's Ground type attacks ignore the target's type based immunities; immunity to Ground. ---> Effects of Levitate and Mind's Eye.

While a simplistic nerf, we thought this would be the best approach. For the longest time Weezaluna's appeal was being able to click Ground STAB without having to worry about Flying-Types. However, that gimmick proved too strong given its Fire coverage allowed it to easily pressure the remaining Ground resists while also having a good defensive profile of its own; which when all combined results in great movepool compression since it usually only needs 2 offensive moves and has the bulk to either set up, run recovery, run statusing moves or even hazards.

This new nerf aims to keep its defensive profile while reducing its offesive capabilities - which, in turn, also makes it harder for Weezaluna to fit as much utility into one set without sacrificing offensive presence.

i started with this idea, didnt really pan out in the end because i needed weez to check toed. crygargonal was a last minute addition bc beaf pointed out sal does a similar thing to valiant while crygar beats mence and torn (this didnt really work here cause i wasnt able to get a safe switch to it).
the game turned out quite well in my favor, had a problem with garg messing with me before it was in range of valiant but crygarg did one minor good thing in forcing a bunch of dmg on it so valiant could claim some kills. also proved to me that king is genuinely good in ou lol

samurai is sooo fun, i love cedge especially when it randomly poisons plus it has razor shell. it setting spikes lets mixed valiant go insane by causing some 3hkos to become 2hkos. when loading the prototype team i found that i was real weak to zap and that whimsy needing energy for speed was pretty annoying + it was another special fairy so i opted for scarf anoraidon because zxg was using it and it does a lot of dmg. then i added legion as uhh a fire and water resist (even though corm was already one). idk what i was cooking with that one. i saw my error when testing with earl so i swapped to hat-w because its quite fat.
as expected samurai did incredibly well, hat did almost nothing and i got jumpscared by SCARF float of all things (ig to lure valiant, which worked). luckily i was able to stack all the hazards to take it down while samurai cleaned up the rest of the team

i was still on the valiant grind but figured lasen would see me using it and run counterplay like spd bellikiss or physdef meta so i opted for new coverage moves. i paired this with garg who spins on samurai/pyuk/bouf and toedeleki who gives me an out against fast attackers. kiss serves as a possible fire punch valiant check while meta covers lele. kinda struggled deciding on last slot, originally thought maybe scarf roto or zarubok settled on weez to set tspikes because forcing switches with valiant yields a lot of poisons (tspike used to be on toed but earl said leaf storm was better).
lasen ended up bringing webs which surprised me but i was able to deal with it pretty well. weez paid off a lot by staving off varantis. definitely felt very powerful bouncing the webs (this is a big reason why webs is mid imo, vika finds it hard to web on valiant). but after i set webs rocks and tspikes it was really over

scouting clean revealed various ho archetypes - gterrain + seed spam, webs, snow - so i opted for tr to fish the good mu vs something like rain or setup spam.
1723445052943.png

yeah deciperior was quickly changed bc i forgot worupt was added, at first it doesnt seem much better than cameruptmega but the extra coverage does make it quite threatening. drago was changed to necrotrik cause i got shit on by torn outside of tr in testing and nacl was changed to yuclod so i had a better mu vs samurai cause otherwise it could razor shell everything to death. star was changed to king for a sol valiant switchin.
as expected they brought rain. necro wasnt able to proc its policy but still did v respectable damage, killing kiss so dramp could go hard and elim anoraidon. clod also paid off, getting a little dmg on goop while also preventing choice lele from clicking moonblast freely.

building this week really stumped me because osps teams were pretty spread out. i defaulted initially to some standard megasol + king shit but ultimately decided against it because i figured osp would try to cteam that (spoiler alert: he did, with florge). so i asked the local goat earl:
Screenshot 2024-08-18 231744.png

i had built a sun team before pmpl started and looking at it something clicked:
Screenshot 2024-08-18 231849.png

so basically you have the p standard king + cram + bouf defensive core, except king sets sun for adamant band sal + growth sands + booster dirge. sal does insane damage with flare blitz in sun, doing up to 90% to physdef kiss among other things. sands at +2 i think can ohko meta with tbolt, maybe not spd. and the kicker really is dirge, who gets a whopping 2.25x boost to its atks with firewall + sun allowing it to very easily snowball through a team; 180 spe outspeeds up to toed, and the extra bulk really helped me live eq bouf + sucker valiant.
game went pretty much as expected, though didnt expect flare blitz to only do 78 to star (tbf i had been only playing against vest beforehand). couldve ended the game earlier if i sent dirge after sal fainted (safer too since bouf would have to take two hits before attacking). worked out though, osp's team was very unprepared for it and fell over very quickly.
nicks based on some random music mix youtube cooked for me, i forgot to name my mons beforehand and it was playing at the time i challenged

paul said slugmas would bring ho so the response was to bring antiho with mence/king/samurai. eq on mence is to hit stuff like toed, mimic, kiss, etc. then weez for a proper toed switchin and valiant check, star to spin and check tink/pert, and then valiant cause it can break through the defensive core they use.
so as paul predicted they used ho with ironspam. this i didnt consider but i still could do pretty well with samurai outspeeding everything even with quark spe. unfortunately i sacked mence over valiant (who gets outsped by everything) so i lost in the endgame to torn.

next shoutouts are due
Fluore Lialiabeast thanks for being on the team even though i didnt put you guys in the lineup
justdrew thanks for filling in even though it was midway through the tour, 1yr ban really disrupted our flow so i appreciate you being there while we figured out the lineup
ViZar Tapler adem Paulluxx Rezzo Baloor thanks for supporting us near the end, unfortunately we couldnt pull through but really appreciate the insights and tests regardless
Runo Smudge thanks for playing both mfa and mult. sorry i didnt let you bring cheese in w5 runo that wouldve been fire to see
TyCarter thanks for playing hoenn gaiden especially with just me as a fairly unreliable support. friend me on zzz @1000657368
Clas thanks for playing teramax especially with just me as a fairly unreliable support. it was pretty crazy how you could build some shit like 2 hours before the game with no testing and win regardless
zxgzxg thanks for playing ff and also supporting fe and vape for me and beaf. ppl clowned on me for instantly dropping 26k on you at the start of the tour but imo it paid off (me 5-1 you 4-2). also thanks for helping hide replays when the team accidentally uploaded them lol
ihbst you were an incredible midtour pickup and i wish i knew to pick you up during the draft. the fact that you were on so often to test in basically every tier and provide some ideas in mfa/mr/mult/vape was so useful, and the w5 mult game was so hype. looking forward to drafting you next year
finally Beaf Cultist thanks for asking to manage with me, your planning before pmpl was fucking insane. i wouldve never thought of combing through literally every player's tour history to determine what was the right draft. dont let your record get you down, shit happens and every player goes through this slump (reminder that i went 0-6 in inheritance which i also was a council member for). just keep playing and youll pick up on good playing and building habits (nu cringe though you should try uh inheritance. Lol).

anyway i sweeear gourgeists will get out of semis next year

Team dump of my AMAZING teams (I was robbed)
LeleRaidon Offense
Pretty basic team exept the meowscorio just to spam the brokens with specs lele being a monstrous breaking force, and the core of belli and spd meta taking hits long enough to deal with my OPPs team.
Glare dramp balance
This is a team more targeted against lelecuno, and while dramp didn’t manage to live to deal with cuno, I was able to fend off the cuno.
Vikadrago + Booster Matcha Webs
Very nice team, and absolutely 11-0ed rain. Msolbroke
Double mega offense (mistake)
Fixed
Why tf did ana bring sun. Either way I was robbed, if I didn’t bring mdruddzor I won. It’s a good team if you bring lefties drudd >. The team has a very concerning and specific florge spread, which is for rotoghold and enough bulk to tank msolval attacks while having enough spa to 2hko most yu clod. Cool team but I was robbed

Tropius inc robbed

After many months of playtesting, we are at a point where new buffs and nerfs are in order! The metagame has been mostly stablizing well, but a few pokémon are still either underperforming or too dominant.

We have also decided to take a new approach to balance patches. With the recent surge in popularity, we figured it'd be most ideal if Council presents the playerbase what changes we have in mind, and before said changes are applied, the community discusses them, gives feedback on what works and what doesn't, and may suggest their own idea on how said Pokémon can be changed. This allows us to hear frommore perspectives as well as keeping an active discussion for the mod. With that out of the way...

Sol Valiant.png
Sol Valiant-Mega.png

With Mega Sol Valiant, we discussed the possibility of it simply being banned (an option that's still possible, mind you), but we also felt that as good as it is currently, it doesn't feel quite as overwhelmingly broken to the point that a stat nerf woldn't be possiible - As well as the fact it keeps some notable threats in check, such as Lelecuno and Anoraidon. As such, we propose the following stat changes as a possible nerf:

70 / 130 / 80 / 100 / 60 / 100 ---> 70 / 130 / 76 / 98 / 60 / 96
70 / 150 / 80 / 140 / 60 / 140 ---> 70 / 150 / 76 / 138 / 60 / 136

The main idea behind this is that by removing all of its stat changes, it is more easily outsped, becoming a little easier to handle

In the case of a Mega Sol Valiant ban though, we instead propose a buff to the base form, with the following stat spread:

70 / 130 / 80 / 100 / 60 / 100 ---> 70 / 130 / 80 / 100 / 60 / 110

As well as a possible ability change to:

Baryon Blade (Super Luck + Quark Drive) = Effects of both abilities. While Quark Drive is active, +1 crit stage.

Samuraiai-Hisui.png

While not a particularly broken mon, we feels as though Sharpness has been making it hit a little harder than we'd like. We propose a small drop in its Attack stat

76 / 121 / 77 / 90 / 68 / 97 ---> 76 / 116 / 77 / 90 / 68 / 97

Revarantis.png

At the time of its creation, Lurantis lacked Superpower, so Revarantis' main way of boosting its offenses was through Leaf Storm and Overheat. However, since the DLC's addition of Superpower to its moveset, Revarantis has pivoted to Superpower + Spin Out as its set of choice, with little reason to run Special Attacks. We thus decided it'd be for the best if it dropped the Special Attack investments and redistributed it to bulk instead, so that it can have an easier time setting up

75 / 112 / 90 / 87 / 78 / 67 ---> 85 / 112 / 90 / 67 / 88 / 67

tapu titan.png

Tapu Titan has been underperforming a little as an offensive threat. We intend to increase its offensive potential, with one of the following stat changes:

130 / 131 / 90 / 65 / 75 / 74 ---> 120 / 141 / 90 / 65 / 75 / 74
130 / 131 / 90 / 65 / 75 / 74 --->120 / 131 / 90 / 65 / 75 / 84

Primeleo.png

Primeleo used to be a pretty potent Choice Scarf user, but as the meta went on, it fell off a little. We aim at increasing its Speed so that it may return to its role as a powerful Scarfer

101 / 125 / 83 / 86 / 79 / 96 ---> 101 / 125 / 83 / 86 / 79 / 106

Aero Wake.png
Aero Wake-Mega.png

We thought base form has been underperforming and are considering giving Mega the new niche of being the fastest Pokémon around, outspeeding even Toedieleki

89 / 95 / 79 / 103 / 79 / 121 ---> 89 / 97 / 79 / 91 / 79 / 136
89 / 125 / 99 / 113 / 99 / 141 ---> 89 / 127 / 99 / 101 / 99 / 156

Brambleswine.png

Brambleswine has been underperforming for a little while so we figured it'd be appreciated to have an immunity to Wind moves, added to what it currently has

Squall: On top of its current effects, this ability now also has the effects of Wind Rider

Lelecuno-Galar.png
Ever since the DLC brought back Expanding Force, Lelecuno has been a massive threat, only truly being held in check by fellow meta threat Mega Sol Valiant. We are looking at ways to nerf this mon while still keeping its terrain-setting business

90 / 85 / 85 / 127 / 107 / 99 ---> 90 / 85 / 80 / 127 / 107 / 95

We have also discussed the possibility of changing its typing to incorporate
Flying.png
, removing its own boost from the terrain.

Anoraidon.png
Anoraidon is a very difficult Pokémon to work around. It doesn't have many stat investments and both its typing and ability are pretty essential dor it to function. We considered addressing its dominance by simply buffing its competition rather than directly nerfing Anoraidon. Still, the following two changes were discussed:

Mercury Pulse ---> Drizzle
Fighting.png
Bug.png
--->
Fighting.png
Bug.png

We ultimately were not quite satisfied with either of these, though

Keep in mind, all of the above changes are currently only proposals. The goal of this post is to show our players what we currently have in mind and ask for feedback - be it whether these ideas seem practical, whether you have your own suggestion or whether there's a Pokémon you'd like to see channges for that doesn't show up on this list. Whatever the case, use the thread or discord to discuss these.

pawnrunt.png

New Ability:
Erratic (Defiant + Moody) = When this Pokemon has a stat lowered by an opponent, it raises a random stat by 2.

This is our one exception to the new feedback process, and will instead be done immediately. Simply put, the current ability is uncompetitive and there's no real worth in it being discussed
