So, adressing the glaring standout.At the start of this slate, we announced we had something to make up for the loss of Genebro. That something is trading the fact an RU mon was banned by dropping an UU mon to RU, a soul for a soul. Enjoy your bees!

We will go on a short discussion phase for a day and start the next slate right after.

rapid review cuz I'm on death's doorstep man

:machamp::vileplume:
Hyper stallbreaker #1. Has solid bulk, recovery, and a very customizable movepool. First fighter of the slate that outclasses Bearyx. Even the Hatt MU isn't that bad due to Sleep Powder and/or 30% Poison moves

:barraskewda::pyroar:
Surprisingly gets a decent normal STAB (double-edge) from Barraskewda and not Pyroar. Either way seems fine enough, kind of a bummer that Phero is no longer the fastest but that was inevitable. Pretty efficient coverage, but drill run will be necessary for Toxicargo so that sort of sucks. Appletom already ruining its life

:rotom-heat::clefable:
Honestly this mon kind of a crazy addition. Stat-wise it's nothing insane, but the defensive profile, movepool, and offensive presence is just a whole lot of a compression on one mon. Don't be surprised when it turns out to be borderline unkillable, old Metagon style. Lowkey a Bearyx buff cuz its forced to take rocks chip when coming into it? But just run Champlume if you want an anti-fairy fighter lol. Uncomfortably optimized.

:hariyama::parasect:
Why so many physical fighter stallbreakers (rip bearyx). Not much to comment on, I think Champlume is a much better choice in most instances because it has essentially the same attributes you'd want from the role, but better. Run toxic orb over flame orb to do actual damage to an incoming Hatt.

:tapu koko::piloswine:
This is definitely an offensive pivot that clicks blizzard. How uninteresting and potentially problematic (plus we really weren't lacking in the fast Ice or Electric category tbh). Luckily lacks Veil.

:appletun::rotom-wash:
This one also kind of also falls into the rotofable hole of being "flawless", but at least this doesn't have as threatening of a NP set (or SR). Sounds pretty annoying to play against because of the defensive profile but its offensively manageable by most teams. Meh

:phantump::necrozma-dawn-wings:
I don't really get it. The colbur gimmick is cute but another case of people massively overhyping a dark immunity/resistance (remember Xotalion?) and this one costs your item slot. Outside of that it clicks Moongeist pretty proficiently, but I'm honestly struggling to justify this over smth like specs Dusking in the scenarios where I want a slowish Ghost that clicks big Ghost moves. At least the Ultra (which is legal now?) looks absolutely obnoxious to face as a dollar store pult. Gonna love switching into those speedy moongeists!

:registeel::beedrill:
Cool partner with the 2 rotom fusions we added, or any other number of weirdo ground resists. I doubt it will become the best steel (Metagon, Cofazor, and Masquerajah are hard to beat for that title), but it's appreciated well enough. Sucks that it's another do-nothing pivot steel, though.

Somehow I get the impression that the playtests didn't really improve the (meta-specific) sub quality that much. Or maybe our voters just like outclassing old stuff/voting in stuff that's essentially flawless. We all loved Metagon after all

starting off with a resub (i am cool)

:swsh/claydol::swsh/arctozolt:
air balloon funni
DNA Donors: Claydol / Arctozolt
Fusion Name: Claydozolt
New Types:

Base Stats: 75 / 100 / 100 / 90 / 100 / 65 [BST: 530] (+0 HP / +15 Atk / +3 Def / +10 SpA / +0 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Skyrocket = (Levitate + Slush Rush)
Ability Description: This Pokemon's Speed is doubled if it is airborne.
Notable Moves:
Bolt Beak, Earthquake, Icicle Crash, Rapid Spin, Stone Edge
Earth Power, Freeze-Dry, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt
Calm Mind, Nasty Plot, Stealth Rock, Substitute, Trick, Trick Room
Intended Role: Mixed Wallbreaker, Offensive Pivot (THE pivot with no pivoting), OTR
Role Justification: Pretty funny mixed wallbreaker. Can do usual Arctozolt things with Air Balloon instead of Hail, except now with a reliable secondary physical STAB at the cost of Ice STAB. Of course, if you get hit it's over, but just don't get hit lol. Can also forgo Bolt Beak entirely and utilitize its solid bulk to set up and sweep with NP, or can even go one step further and run OTR (LO TR Bolt Beak goes hard). Tons of options, and should be a very fun and unique addition to the meta.

:swsh/starmie::swsh/minior:
an actually cool gimmick
DNA Donors: Starmie / Minior
Fusion Name: Minimie
New Types:

Base Stats: 80 / 90 / 75 / 105 / 75 / 120 [BST: 545] (+20 HP / +3 Atk / +3 Def / +5 SpA / +3 SpD / +3 Spe)
80 / 75 / 90 / 75 / 105 / 60 [Meteor]
New Ability: Bombshell = (Analytic + Shields Down)
Ability Description: Analytic effects. Transforms into Core form when moving last or if the opponent switches. Transforms into Meteor at the end of each turn.
Notable Moves:
Flip Turn, Rapid Spin, U-Turn
Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Scald, Thunderbolt
Recover, Stealth Rock, Shell Smash
Intended Role: Mixed Wall, Special Wallbreaker
Role Justification: Pretty wild defensive mon. Min speed sets are very hard to underspeed, meaning it almost always gets the Bombshell boost and Core form change, allowing it to tank hits very well while also firing off nuclear Scalds. Alternatively, you could take a risk and run offensive Smash sets, though you'll never be more than a breaker since you really don't want to outspeed mons. Also just a note, it enters the field in Meteor form, like normal Minior.

:swsh/virizion::swsh/dugtrio-alola:
accidentally stole ana's mon (you can't stop me)
DNA Donors: Virizion / Dugtrio-Alola
Fusion Name: Viritrio-Alola
New Types:

Base Stats: 75 / 100 / 70 / 70 / 100 / 109 [BST: 524] (+12 HP / +5 Atk / +4 Def / +0 SpA / +1 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Handcuffs = (Justified + Tangling Hair)
Ability Description: Justified + lowers opponent's Speed when triggered.
Notable Moves:
Close Combat, Earthquake, Iron Head, Leaf Blade
...
Stealth Rock, Swords Dance, Synthesis, Taunt
Intended Role:
Role Justification: Fast offensive utility mon, with SR and fast Taunt to catch the tier's many defoggers. In fact, Viritrio outspeeds the vast majority of the tier's defoggers, meaning its rocks will stay up unless they bring in a spinner or switch in Torra. Additionally, its Attack is pretty great, and Handcuffs make it extremely scary if it absorbs a koff, so SD is a very real possibility. Run Band to be cooler Ferro.

:swsh/dugtrio::swsh/gigalith:
viable gravity setter
DNA Donors: Dugtrio / Gigalith
Fusion Name: Digalith
New Types:

Base Stats: 65 / 125 / 90 / 55 / 80 / 92 [BST: 507] (+5 HP / +8 Atk / +0 Def / +0 SpA / +5 SpD / +20 Spe)
New Ability: Ground Power = (Arena Trap + Sand Force)
Ability Description: This Pokemon's Ground/Rock/Steel attacks have 1.3x power against grounded opponents.
Notable Moves:
Earthquake, Iron Head, Stone Edge, Sucker Punch, Superpower
...
Gravity, Hone Claws, Stealth Rock
Intended Role:
Role Justification: Classic Rock/Ground physical breaker, only this one can set Gravity to become absolutely unstoppable. Lack of coverage and bulk mean it really struggles against defensive cores without Gravity up, though this can be partly alleviated if you decide to run Hone Claws.

:swsh/banette::swsh/toxtricity:
jolte banette: the sequel
DNA Donors: Banette / Toxtricity
Fusion Name: Banetox
New Types:

Base Stats: 75 / 110 / 80 / 115 / 70 / 70 [BST: 520] (+6 HP / +4 Atk / +13 Def / +17 SpA / +4 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Haunted Tech = (Cursed Body + Technician)
Ability Description: Combined effect of both the abilities.
Notable Moves:
Drain Punch, Gunk Shot, Shadow Claw, Shadow Sneak, Knock Off, Nuzzle
Icy Wind, Ominous Wind, Shock Wave, Sludge Bomb, Volt Switch
Calm Mind, Shift Gear, Taunt
Intended Role: Physical Sweeper, Special Wallbreaker, Stallbreaker
Role Justification: Jolte Mega Banette was a pretty cool idea, and probably will be viable if its ability ever gets coded. I really loved the idea of Shift Gear Banette, so I decided to rework it for FERU. Banetox is a powerful Shift Gear sweeper with great dual STABs but somewhat poor coverage, though this also means it can choose to forgo coverage for utility options like Taunt, Knock Off, or Nuzzle (or run both Shadow Claw and Shadow Sneak). Thanks to its typing and access to Taunt, it takes advantage of fatmons like no other, using them as fodder for it to Shift Gear up and sweep weakened teams. However, its most consistent option is most likely Shadow Sneak. With Haunted Tech, this move gets boosted to a spicy 60 BP, making it only 10 BP weaker than Banetox's main Ghost STAB. This is huge, since it means Banetox isn't a sitting duck pre-setup even with its frankly quite awful 70 base Speed. Also its Special Attack is technically higher, and Special sets get BoltBeam because of Haunted Tech, so that's fun.

DNA Donors: Banette-Mega / Toxtricity
Fusion Name: Banetox-Mega
New Types:

Base Stats: 75 / 160 / 90 / 125 / 90 / 80 [BST: 620]
New Ability: Prankster
Notable Moves:
Drain Punch, Gunk Shot, Shadow Claw, Shadow Sneak, Knock Off, Nuzzle
Volt Switch
Destiny Bond, Shift Gear, Taunt
Intended Role: Physical Sweeper, Special Wallbreaker, Stallbreaker
Role Justification: Would be pretty great if it's legal. Lack of good Ghost STAB potentially balances Shift Gear sets enough to be legal?Otherwise does everything base does but better (besides Special sets, which are dead).

:swsh/tsareena::swsh/darmanitan-galar:
abomasnow on crack
DNA Donors: Tsareena / Darmanitan-Galar
Fusion Name: Tsarmanitan-Galar
New Types:

Base Stats: 90 / 135 / 80 / 40 / 95 / 85 [BST: 525] (+2 HP / +5 Atk / +4 Def / +0 SpA / +19 SpD / +2 Spe)
New Ability: Monkey King = (Queenly Majesty + Gorilla Tactics)
Ability Description: Queenly Majesty effects. This Pokemon's Attack is 1.5x if it has been affected by a priority move.
Notable Moves:
Earthquake, Flare Blitz, High Jump Kick, Knock Off, Power Whip, Rapid Spin, Triple Axel, U-Turn

Bulk Up
Intended Role: Physical Wallbreaker, Choice Scarf
Role Justification: Yummy coverage (Ground, Fire, and Fighting coverage on an offensive typing that's only bad because of Steels) plus an amazing 135 Attack makes this mon work extremely well as a breaker. With the +1 Speed from Rapid Spin, it becomes an absolute menace, cleaving through offensive teams (particularly those reliant on priority abusers like Lycansian and Haxel for their speed control). Scarf is also amazing, though an unfortunate Rock weakness prevents it from absolutely crushing like it should, and while Band suffers from the same issue, it also has essentially no switchins, so that's another option. Overall, an extremely versatile offensive mon kept in check by a few key weaknesses.

:swsh/greedent::swsh/slurpuff:
(Thanks Aquatic!)
DNA Donors: Greedent / Slurpuff
Fusion Name: Greedpuff
New Types:

Base Stats: 120 / 90 / 90 / 84 / 75 / 50 [BST: 509] (+19 HP / +3 Atk / +0 Def / +14 SpA / +0 SpD / +4 Spe)
New Ability: Berry Light = (Cheek Pouch + Unburden)
Ability Description: Combined effects of Cheek Pouch + Unburden + Ripen
Notable Moves:
Body Slam, Play Rough, Earthquake, Superpower/Drain Punch
Hyper Voice, Dazzling Gleam/Draining Kiss, Flamethrower
Belly Drum, Stuff Cheeks, Swords Dance, Sticky Web, Heal Bell, Calm Mind
Intended Role: physical breaker (Belly Drum), webs
Role Justification: Gets really funny if its in Salac range for BDrum sets. Pretty hardwalled by Masquerajah though unless it goes for surprise special sets. Maybe makes berry gimmicks viable?

:swsh/regieleki::swsh/pyukumuku:

DNA Donors: Regieleki / Pyukumuku
Fusion Name: Pyukeleki
New Types:

Base Stats: 70 / 80 / 90 / 80 / 90 / 110 [BST: 520] (+3 HP / +0 Atk / +0 Def / +15 SpA / +0 SpD / +8 Spe)
New Ability: Electric Chair = (Transistor + Unaware)
Ability Description: Combined effects
Notable Moves:
Rapid Spin, Explosion
Thunder Cage/Thunderbolt, Volt Switch
Recover, Light Screen, Reflect, Taunt, Toxic, SOAK
Intended Role: Stallbreaker, trapper, offensive pivot, screens/HO lead, spinner
Role Justification: Does Heatran-like stuff with Thunder Cage, with the option of Volt Switch to either chip them down forever or use the free switch to pivot an ally in. Decently fat Unaware mon as well for stuff like Kommo-tot. Spins against Frossharp are kinda cool as its scared of Transistor boosted moves. Still forever sat on by Grounds and Electric immunes, but then reveal clutch SOAK man. Just Soak the Hatterune and troll it forever.

:swsh/tentacruel::swsh/salamence:
DNA Donors: Tentacruel / Salamence
Fusion Name: Tentamence
New Types:

Base Stats: 90 / 105 / 75 / 95 / 100 / 100 [BST: 565] (+3 HP / +3 Atk / +3 Def / +0 SpA / +0 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Powerful Ooze = (Liquid Ooze + Moxie)
Ability Description: Combined effects. Gets +1 Atk when Liquid Ooze triggers.
Notable Moves:
Poison Jab, Dual Wingbeat, Earthquake, Rapid Spin, Knock Off, Stone Edge
Sludge Bomb/Wave, Hurricane, Flamethrower/Fire Blast,
Roost, Dragon Dance, Wish, Swords Dance, Defog
Intended Role: hazard removal, physical breaker
Role Justification: Beats Hatterune and Champlume by denying their recovery, and allowing it to set up. Also works well against Serpeblim. DD/SD seem kinda scary, but sweeping with 80BP stabs sounds like a tall order in this meta. Special sets might be okay as general utility sets given its surprising support movepool. Losing to the 105 speed tier is pretty sad for SD sets, as is being unable to hurt Masq or Metagon.

:swsh/xatu::swsh/absol:
DNA Donors: Xatu / Absol
Fusion Name: Xabtu
New Types:

Base Stats: 70 / 110 / 70 / 85 / 70 / 102 [BST: 507] (+5 HP / +8 Atk / +5 Def / +0 SpA / +5 SpD / +17 Spe)
New Ability: Eye for An Eye = (Magic Bounce + Justified)
Ability Description: Bounces back Dark Moves
Notable Moves:
U-Turn, Knock Off, Drill Peck, Close Combat, Stone Edge, Sucker Punch

Roost, Swords Dance, Thunder Wave, Defog
Intended Role: physical breaker, hazard removal
Role Justification: Knock immune boots mon sounded cool. Has a beefy Knock of its own as well. Sitting under 105 will force boosting sets to Sucker Punch a lot. Horrible bulk keeps it from getting too insane.
:swsh/xatu::swsh/absol-mega:
DNA Donors: Xatu / Absol
Fusion Name: Mega Xabtu
New Types:

Base Stats: 70 / 130 / 70 / 125 / 70 / 142 [BST: 607]
New Ability: Magic Bounce
Notable Moves:
U-Turn, Knock Off, Drill Peck, Close Combat, Stone Edge, Sucker Punch

Roost, Swords Dance, Thunder Wave, Defog
Intended Role: physical breaker, hazard removal
Role Justification: might be legal, might not, idk. Leaning more towards not.

:swsh/qwilfish::swsh/sandslash-alola:
DNA Donors: Qwilfish / Sandslash-Alola
Fusion Name: Qwilslash-Alola
New Types:

Base Stats: 75 / 114 / 105 / 40 / 65 / 85 [BST: 484] (+5 HP / +17 Atk / +3 Def / +0 SpA / +5 SpD / +10 Spe)
New Ability: Swift Rush = (Swift Swim + Slush Rush)
Ability Description: Combined effect of both the abilities.
Notable Moves:
Triple Axel, Poison Jab, Explosion, Earthquake, Knock Off, Rock Slide, Brick Break

Swords Dance, Explosion, Spikes, Stealth Rock, Taunt
Intended Role: Hail sweeper, hazard HO lead
Role Justification: Well we have a Hail setter now, sooo... feels pretty obvious in what it does. Floating Steel coverage is pretty bad. Also has a role on HO as an awesome lead due to hazards, taunt and boom. Swift Swim effect is definitely extra, but maybe manual rain takes off???

:swsh/weezing-galar::swsh/decidueye:
DNA Donors: Weezing-Galar / Decidueye
Fusion Name: Weezeye-Galar
New Types:

Base Stats: 71 / 100 / 100 / 92 / 90 / 70 [BST: 523] (+0 HP / +2 Atk / +3 Def / +0 SpA / +5 SpD / +5 Spe)
New Ability: Misty Reach = (Misty Surge + Long Reach)
Ability Description: Combined effects
Notable Moves:
… Poltergeist/Spirit Shackle, U-Turn, Shadow Sneak, Knock Off
… Shadow Ball, Sludge Bomb, Fire Blast
… Defog, Roost, Nasty Plot
Intended Role: stallbreaker, pivot, Misty Terrain setter, trapper
Role Justification: Misty Surge + Spirit Shackle lets it function like a bootleg Pajantom, creating free pivot opportunities for an ally. Nasty Plot allows it to sweep on its own terms since it actually gets Poison STAB on that side, but it's pretty slow for this meta so sweeper might not be very viable. Trapping would be how it is different from Dusking.

GAZE UPON MY BIRDS

:swsh/poipole::swsh/archeops:
DNA Donors: Poipole / Archeops
Fusion Name: Poipeops
New Types:

Base Stats: 71 / 109 / 67 / 109 / 67 / 109 [BST: 532] (+0 HP / +3 Atk / +1 Def / +17 SpA / +1 SpD / +18 Spe)
New Ability: Perseverance = (Beast Boost + Defeatist)
Ability Description: At half health this pokemon's highest stat gets boosted by one stage.
Notable Moves:
: Gunk Shot, Head Smash, U-Turn, Dual Wingbeat, Earthquake, Knock Off, Aqua Tail
: Sludge Wave, Meteor Beam, Earth Power, Heat Wave, Air Slash, Focus Blast
: Nasty Plot, Toxic Spikes, Stealth Rock, Defog, Roost
Intended Role: Physical Sweeper, Special Sweeper, Set Up Sweeper, Hazard Setter (Stealth Rock, Toxic Spikes)
Role Justification: Glue bird is surprising versatile for what it is. It by no means is the strongest or the fastest but it's 109/109 offenses are pretty reasonable especially since it has access to some powerful physical STABs and can easily set up on the special side. It even has a decent amount of coverage for what it is. However its typing while giving it a useful rock STAB gives it two common weaknesses

New Ability: Sap Defyer = (Defiant + Sap Sipper)
Ability Description: Has the effect of both abilities.
Notable Moves:
: Brave Bird, Drill Peck, Psychic Fangs, Close Combat, Thunderous Kick, U-Turn, Earthquake, Sucker Punch, Blaze Kick
: Bulk Up, Thunder Wave
Intended Role: Physical Sweeper
Role Justification: Alright so I swapped out Relicflame after getting some feedback and a lot of concern about it since it had BIG DAMAGE STABS for no recoil. Rather than keep fish bird I swapped it our for Giraffe Bird because it's probably less concerning. Anyway Giraffe Bird is interesting to say the least since it has the typing no one loves: Flying/Psychic. Idk why but I remember the typing getting shat on a lot, probably due to the fact that it has a lot of common weaknesses around. However this thing is a bit more dangerous since it can actually do something to its numerous weaknesses, without being reliant on Focus Miss. Also if you really really really want to go this route it does get nasty plot so in theory you could try to set up something and turn it into a special sweeper but I do not recommend that.

New Ability: Raging Spot = (Berserk + Power Spot)
Ability Description: When this pokemon is at 50% or less of its max HP the power of its moves increases by 30%
Notable Moves:
: Stone Edge, Brave Bird, Dual Wingbeat, U-Turn, Earthquake, Superpower, Sucker Punch, Heat Crash, Steel Wing
: Stealth Rock, Memento, Curse
Intended Role: Physical Wallbreaker
Role Justification: Punk Rock Bird is rock type that can hit hard physically and has a pivot. The main downside to this comes from the fact your only real boosting option is curse and that its coverage is a bit lacking since both of its parents have pretty shallow movepools. That said I think it's a fair trade off given its pretty good offensive typing and decent bulk for said typing.

Ability Description: When this pokemon is hit by a fire type move it takes no damage and has its accuracy raised by one stage.
Notable Moves:
: Hyper Voice, Shadow Ball, Fire Blast, Hurricane, Air Slash, Moonblast, Psychic, Clear Smog, Hex
: Roost, Defog, Will-O-Wisp, Nasty Plot
Intended Role: Special Wallbreaker, Defensive Pivot
Role Justification: Chandelier Bird here is a special wallbreaker with a great typing defensively, a pretty good movepool, and a meh typing offensively. However with FOUR IMMUNITIES under its belt and one major weakness it also functions decently well as a defensive pivot, especially since three of those immunities come from its typing.

: Calm Mind, Thunder Wave, Recover, Will-O-Wisp
Intended Role: Special Sweeper
Role Justification: Mama bird over here is your typical psychic type special sweeper, something we've been lacking surprisingly. However it can bypass screens and subs thanks to its ability allowing it to sweep easier than its counterparts. Also it has a surprisingly decent amount of coverage allowing it to do almost anything.

: U-Turn, Megahorn, Iron Head, Earthquake, Close Combat, Play Rough, Fake Out
: Swords Dance, Spikes, Toxic Spikes
Intended Role: Physical Wallbreaker, Hazard Setter(Spikes and Toxic Spikes), Offensive Pivot?
Role Justification: Alright so the last time I made a bug type fusion that won, it was based on utilizing STAB U-Turn to its advantage. While this is no Landmaldo by any means it's by no means bad. While a power boosted U-Turn is nothing to scoff at the real prize here is megahorn. Megahorn allows this thing to hit like a fucking truck on steroids, when it lands that is. That said it does have the downside that its type is better on defense than offense as bug and steel are not known for their offensive prowess.

New Ability: Exterminator = (Justified + Swarm)
Ability Description: Swarm + This Pokemon's Attack is raised by 1 stage after it is damaged by a Bug/Dark-type move.
Notable Moves:
Close Combat, First Impression/X-Scissor, Extreme Speed, Meteor Mash, Crunch, Earthquake
Swords Dance
Intended Role: Physical Wallbreaker, Pivot
Role Justification: A much better version compared to the previous iteration. A fast hyper-offensive mon that actually has some bulk to take some hits. It switches into Knock Off, U-Turn, and Wicked Blow to take resisted damage and gain attack doing so. It has access to 3 different priority moves so along with great damage it can pick up KOes or chip others before it dies. An all-around mon to be fair. It has a great matchup against Appletom-Wash, Googersby, Kommo-Tot, Non-Burned Xurkirat, etc. It has a lot of neutral face-offs where they scare each other like Pyraskewda, Tapu Pilo, and Earthquake can help it against other neutral checks (which are usually poison). Lastly, it struggles against Cofazor, Dhelarina, and a handful of new slate mons like the spore users, and Rotofable-Heat. Nonetheless, it has great stats it can abuse when not facing these threats, good moves to switch on, and an X Factor in Swarm.

New Ability: Chilling Body = (Cursed Body + Chilling Neigh)
Ability Description: If this Pokemon is hit by an attack, there is a 30% chance this Pokemon's Attack is raised by 1 Stage.
Notable Moves:
Poltergeist, Icicle Crash, Sucker Punch, Knock Off, Explosion
Shadow Ball, Ice Beam/Blizzard, Sludge Wave, Psychic, Hex
Swords Dance, Nasty Plot, Destiny Bond, Will-O-Wisp
Intended Role: Mixed Wallbreaker, Setup Sweeper
Role Justification: A very strong mixed attacker that hits hard, and has a lot of defense. Destroys Hatterune with Stab Ice moves. Physcial moves give more pressure and has the Kaboom move for suicide leads. Special leans towards more coverage options. It suffers from having a wide list of weaknesses, and if it's on a hail team using Blizzard it can't maximize on it's ability. Also speed being good-ish doesn't help. Too fast for trick room, too slow to do anything. This thing just hits hard and snowballs if it doesn't die.

New Ability: Igneous Storm = (Sand Stream + Solid Rock)
Ability Description: Combined effect of both the abilities.
Notable Moves:
Earthquake, Stone Edge, Knock Off, Superpower, Aqua Jet
Stealth Rock, Slack Off, Stockpile, Shell Smash
Intended Role: Field Setter (Sand), Hazard Setter (Stealth Rock), Physical Wall, Physical Wallbreaker
Role Justification: Sand can be a great weather, just look at Ttar. It can be on lead to set up rocks, and power up other rock-types allies like Galsola, Klefilego, and Rhychomp. Hippocosta becomes a massive tank with the combined help of it's solid stats, Sp. Def buff from Sand Stream, Leftovers/Rocky Helmet, and Stockpile. It suffers from its wide range of weaknesses, 4X weaknesses, and slow speed. Also needs a fire type to pair with it cause Fire Fang isn't helping.

:swsh/decidueye::swsh/dugtrio:
Resub: Balanced trapper with explosive power once it gets going.
DNA Donors: Decidueye / Dugtrio
Fusion Name: Decidrio
New Types:

Base Stats: 70 / 106 / 70 / 75 / 85 / 110 [BST: 515] (+14 HP / +3 Atk / +8 Def / +0 SpA / +0 SpD / +15 Spe)
New Ability: Quick Sand = (Overgrow + Arena Trap)
Ability Description: This Pokemon has 1.5x attacking stat against trapped foes.

Notable Moves:
Earthquake, Knock Off, Leaf Blade, Spirit Shackle, Stone Edge, U-turn...
...
Memento, Roost, Stealth Rock, Swords Dance...

Intended Role: Trapper, Setup Sweeper, Offensive Pivot
Role Justification: Bog-standard Trapper who has a fairly simple game plan. Use Spirit Shackle on a suitable switch and then go ham with its STAB options. Once you find a target, Quick Sand will make quick work of the foe, and against walls that can tank Decidrio's attacks you get momentum with U-turn. In a sense this mon forces the game into predictions lest you be unprepared for its attacks.

The biggest problem with this mon in that sense is that its almost too predictable. It has middling power without using Spirit Shackle so most of the time you have to use Spirit Shackle before this mon can do much damage which makes the opponent's job much easier in predicting. It also has middling defenses so even neutral hits deal heavy damage and Decidrio isn't running Roost most of the time. Overall, a foe that you should not underestimate lest you let yourself fall into its trap.

:swsh/masquerain::swsh/kartana:
Grass/Bug mon with monstrous Attack that could kinda work!?
DNA Donors: Masquerain / Kartana
Fusion Name: Kartuerain
New Types:

Base Stats: 68 / 140 / 100 / 79 / 56 / 106 [BST: 549] (+4 HP / +20 Atk / +4 Def / +0 SpA / +0 SpD / +12 Spe)
New Ability: Pressure Point = (Intimidate + Beast Boost)
Ability Description: On switch-in, this Pokemon lowers the highest stat of adjacent opponents by 1 stage.

Notable Moves:
Knock Off, Leaf Blade, Liquidation, Lunge, Sacred Sword, U-turn...
...
Defog, Roost, Sticky Web, Stun Spore, Swords Dance...

Intended Role: Physical Wallbreaker, Offensive Pivot, Set-up Sweeper...
Role Justification: After being inspired by Wormadam from Alternatium I was inspired to make a Bug/Grass type of my own in FERU and like Wormadam I wanted to make it actually competent (hopefully).

A Bug/Grass-type seems like an absolute recipe for disaster, combining two of the arguably worst types in the game together seems disastrous in nature, and while in most scenarios this would be horrible in this case it actually works surprisingly decently with the current state of the meta. So far we have an excess amount of Water-types as well as a severe lack of Grass-types and Bug-types, but Kartuerain bridges the gap and works well as a wallbreaker and pivot that can handle specifically the physical Water-types of the meta, like Krookogatr, Haxel, and the newcomer Pyraskewda. It can handle most of these mons on the switch and can threaten them almost immediately with its stellar Attack stat and good Speed. Kartuerain's ability gives it a lot of flexibility against other mons too. Bulky mons become more vulnerable, wallbreakers are weakened, and sweepers are slowed. In most of these scenarios Kartuerain benefits from the statdrop one way or another to revengekill or wallbreak. It has good coverage options like Liquidation and Sacred Sword, and it has good utility like Knock Off to cripple its common checks like Swalurchin, Dusking, and Golneton and to hit Ghost-types. On the other hand, Kartuerain can even take a purely defensive role, using it's ability to weaken wallbreakers alongside Roost, and Knock Off and Stun Spore to cripple and its typing that allow it to switch-in on common Water-, Fighting-, and Ground- type attacks.

Even though Bug/Grass gives it a surprising amount of important resistances in the current meta... ... ... well, it's still a Bug/Grass-type afterall. 140 Attack is impressive but it's downplayed by its horrible STAB combo that gets walled by a lot of common types. Dusking can tank even boosted hits, heal off the damage, and OHKO back with its STAB options, Yangarde's typing resists all of its moves and uses Kartuerain as set-up fodder, Golneton shrugs off all its attacks, and it's horrid special bulk means that it basically dies to any special attack. These checks however don't appreciate being Knocked Off. It's typing gives it a whopping 6 weaknesses, 2 of those being 4x weaknesses to the common types Fire- and Flying- which are occupied by meta-relevant threats like Torranadus, Raibat, and Kingfezant. Relating to the previous point, because of this it wants to pack coverage to beat out these mons but it leaves it with a pesudo-4MSS problem. With Choice Band sets it has to choose 1 of either Liquidation to hit Fire- and Flying-types or Sacred Sword to hit Steel-types, if the first 3 moveslots are reserved for Leaf Blade + U-turn to allow it to pivot and Knock Off to cripple, so it just barely doesn't allow it to cover it's checks properly depending on what it chooses. For SD sets it's even moreso as you relegate one slot for a set-up move.

:swsh/whimsicott::swsh/virizion:
Offensive Grass/Fairy with great utility options.
DNA Donors: Whimsicott / Virizion
Fusion Name: Whimsizion
New Types:

Base Stats: 80 / 90 / 78 / 100 / 105 / 112 [BST: 565] (+5 HP / +12 Atk / +0 Def / +17 SpA / +3 SpD / +0 Spe)
New Ability: Stealth Mission = (Infiltrator + Justified)
Ability Description: Combined effects.

Notable Moves:
Close Combat, Knock Off, Leaf Blade, Play Rough, Megahorn, Stone Edge, U-turn...
Energy Ball, Focus Blast, Leaf Storm, Hurricane, Moonblast...
Defog, Encore, Leech Seed, Light Screen, Memento, Reflect, Substitute, Swords Dance, Synthesis...

Intended Role: Special Wallbreaker, Set-up Sweeper, Fast Pivot, Support, Screen Setter, Hazard Removal (Defog)
Role Justification: Versatile Grass-type utility mon that has decent offenses. I opted out of Prankster since it may be too strong, but Whimsizion is a defensive Grass-type that generally exists to annoy other Pokemon, cripple foes, and spread status around while also acting as a good switch to opposing Grass-types. It has an excellent speed tier and it's unpredictability with it's variety of sets makes it a bit difficult to play around. Due to its wide movepool it acts as a good support mon with dual screens, hazard removal, Leech Seed, Encore, Knock Off, and U-turn for pivoting, all packed-in with a good defensive typing. It can switch-in on key types like Water-, Fighting- and Dragon- and has a good matchup against mons like Strikados, Krookogatr, Flychu-Alola, Haxel, and the newcomer Pyraskewda.

Unfortunately, Whimsizion's attacking stats leave it unable to threaten the bulkier mons and is walled by them, and its dual-STAB combo is completely walled by Steel-types. Mons such as Toxicargo, Masquerajah, and Regibee, while Dusking can shrug off all of its move and can tank its special hits while OHKOing it back. It also lacks the coverage to deal much more damage, and most of the time means it has to rely on utility and status moves to disrupt foes. Additionally, even though it has great special defense, it has poor physical bulk and thus prevents it from switching into the aforementioned mons like Haxel, as well as other threats like Lurodactyl-Mega as well as it could. Lastly, Whimsizion gets absolutely crippled by status, and thus has a shaky matchup against Hatt, a meta top-tier, as paralysis from Nuzzle completely ruins Whimsizion's effectiveness in being a support mon and wallbreaker, though it can effectively switch-in into Hatt's Earth Power and Draining Kiss and immediately threaten it.

Not a Grass-type but...

:swsh/marshadow::swsh/bergmite:
Bogstandard Ghost-type wallbreaker with Technician STAB options.
DNA Donors: Marshadow / Bergmite
Fusion Name: Marshmite
New Types:

Base Stats: 72 / 100 / 82 / 81 / 62 / 93 [BST: 490] (+0 HP / +3 Atk / +0 Def / +20 SpA / +0 SpD / +17 Spe)
New Ability: Percussionist = (Technician + Own Tempo)
Ability Description: Combined effects.

Notable Moves:
Avalanche, Close Combat, Fake Out, Poltergeist, Icicle Spear, Knock Off, Rapid Spin, Shadow Sneak, Spectral Thief, Stone Edge...
Aura Sphere, Frost Breath, Ice Beam, Shadow Ball...
Bulk Up, Calm Mind...

Intended Role: Physical Wallbreaker, Special Wallbreaker, Set-up Sweeper
Role Justification: After a look through the spreadsheet and the current meta, I realized that we don't actually have any bogstandard Ghost-type physical wallbreakers yet. By that I mean something along the lines of "decently strong and fast but pretty frail". Absable-Mega-X has its typing, Magic Bounce, higher Speed, and access to SD to set it apart. Thus, I introduce you all to Marshmite, a fairly strong wallbreaker that puts a middle finger to Hatt and whose game plan can be simplified to "break dem walls". It really has no other gimmick aside from that, and its lower speed and bulk makes Spectral Thief not a big problem here.

It has Technician alongside strong STAB boosted moves in Icicle Spear and Frost Breath on both sides of the attacking spectrum and it's stellar primary STAB with moves like Poltergeist and Shadow Sneak. It's game plan is simple, punch as many holes as it can in the opposing team, and it has some nice utility as well with Rapid Spin for hazard removal and to bolster Marshmite's decent speed stat, and Knock Off too to, in general just cripple mons wherever it goes. Bulk Up and Calm Mind are viable options here that can boost Delishadow's offenses but it has poor defenses so make sure to find a safe way for this mon to enter the field for it to set up.

Marshmite's STAB combo as well as its coverage basically makes it so that it doesn't have any true counters to it defensively. That being said, it has traits that hold it back. It's Speed, although is alright, is very lackluster and combined with its poor defenses makes it a prime victim of being revengekilled by the likes of faster mons like Torranadus, Darm-Prime, Lurodactyl, and Klefilego. Marshmite is completely crippled by status. Toxic puts it on a timer, Burn makes physical sets useless, and Paralysis damages it's already low speed and makes it even more vulnerable to being revengekiled. It's also vulnerable to be chipped throughout the course of the game, as it is weak to rocks, and forgoing Life Orb for Heavy Duty boots sacrifices that much needed immediate power that it needs to wallbreak the more bulky mons. Lastly, although its STAB combo is excellent it gets walled by certain mons. Bulky Cofazor can tank 3 Knock Offs after Lefties and 2HKOes it with Bullet Punch, Arcalie resists its main STABs, though it has to be wary of Close Combat, and the newcomer Rotofable can switch-in on a majority of its moves and OHKO it with Flamethrower, though again these mons don't appreciate Knock Off.

Ability Description: Effects of both abilities
Notable Moves:
Icicle Spear, Petal Blizzard, Fusion Bolt, Rock Slide, Scale Shot
Leaf Storm, Giga Drain, Energy Ball, Ice Beam, Earth Power, Freeze-Dry
Swords Dance, Dragon Dance, Roost
Intended Role: Physical Sweeper, Special Wallbreaker
Role Justification: This is probably broken, I won't lie, but if it's not, it does fill a very specific purpose. This is the only combination (that I could find, anyway) that does the following:

- Has an ability that can't be Traced/Skill Swapped/Pillaged (because of Flower Gift)
- Has Mold Breaker or one of its clones
- Has a type immune or resistant to Electric
- Has a type that isn't weak to Hatterune's STABs
- Is strong enough to 2HKO Hatterune
- Doesn't repeat an already used typing
- Doesn't repeat an already used Pokemon

The only other thing that can do this is Kyurem-White/Cherrim, but that has 128 Special Attack with insane coverage, so that would've definitely been broken. Hopefully, this isn't as broken, as while a KyuB fusion with Swords Dance is a terrifying thought and Ice/Grass/Electric coverage is really good, it can't touch Steel-types not named Masquerajah, and its typing and average bulk make it a little tough to set up. Special sets will likely be better, sporting decent 105 SpA, great STABs, and needed coverage in Earth Power and Focus Blast. Earth Power lets Kyurrim annoy Levitating Electric-types, none of which matchup particularly well into it unless you tech Fire Blast on Flychu. It also annoys Hatterune with both STABs, but be weary of Mystical Fire.

New Ability: Radioactive = (Poison Touch + Berserk)
Ability Description: This Pokémon's Special Attack rises by 1 if it's hit by a contact move
Notable Moves:
U-Turn, Knock Off, Drain Punch, Gunk Shot, Sucker Punch, Earthquake, Stone Edge, Thunder Punch, Ice Punch
Focus Blast, Fiery Wrath, Vacuum Wave, Sludge Wave, Hurricane
Nasty Plot, Swords Dance, Agility, Taunt
Intended Role: Offensive Pivot, Setup Sweeper
Role Justification: WIP (funny silvally stats. has good bulk and bottomless coverage on both sides and an ability to punish u-turn, making it a good sweeper with Nasty Plot or Swords Dance if you want. does hate most fairies, namely hatterune since it doesn't get to stack SpA boosts on Draining Kiss if it gets Pillaged (though, not like you'd live a DKiss anyway))

Type:

Stat Distribution: 65/80/75/110/90/95 (+3 HP, +8 SpA, +10 SpD, +8 Spe) BST: 515
Ability: Critception (Flash Fire + Anger Point): User's critical hits deal 1.5x damage when struck by a critical hit. Immune to critical hits.
Relevant Moves:
- U-Turn
- Shadow Ball, Focus Blast, Fire Blast, Thunderbolt
- Trick
Intended Role: Special Wallbreaker, Choice Scarf/Specs
Role Justification: Ghost/Fighting + Fire Blast hits tough. Can run Scarf or Specs with either Trick to mess with passive mons, U-Turn for pivoting, or TBolt for an all-out-attacker set. Its main weakness is its physical bulk, which leaves it vulnerable in the face of Dhelarina, Absable-X, etc. It also has a pretty low-impact ability to balance out its great movepool and typing, but it does grant immunity to Nashifu's Wicked Blow.

New Ability: Resolve = (Pressure + Guts)
Ability Description: Effects of both.
Notable Moves:
Close combat, triple Axel, knock off, earthquake, mach punch, drain punch, U-turn

Roost
Intended Role: Physical wallbreaker
Role Justification: I wanted to make a breaker with unique typing. with guts this pokemon is able to absorb status and break through walls with it's mostly unresisted STABs. It also gets recovery in roost but I think it will prefer the added coverage of earthquake which hits all but one of pokemon that resist it's stabs. Another option is U-turn to gain momentum but it's a more niche option. Despite being a really powerful breaker it is quite slow and due to its typing has a lot of weaknesses to common types.
first sub in a while as well.

Nope
Roost, Defog, Heal Bell, Stealth Rock
Intended Role: Big Bulky Ground-Flying Hazard Mon
Role Justification: This thing gets so many useful moves it's unreal, to the point where role justification is primarily covered in Notable Moves. One thing that isnt covered there, however, is how it can switch in on Hatterune extremely easy. For the most part it's going to run Earthquake and then a bunch of utility, but it can potentially also be used as a Hatterune answer with Triple Axel.

Ability Description: Upon gaining this ability, the user's SpA is halved
Notable Moves:
Close Combat, Stone Edge, Dual Wingbeat, Gunk Shot, U-Turn, Earthquake
None
Roost, Taunt, Stealth Rock
Intended Role: Fast physical attacker, Hatterune inconveniencer
Role Justification: I hate Pillage. Archeprime inconveniences pillage mons. It hits hard and fast with STAB Close Combat, and has useful coverage for many of the typings that resist it. In addition, it has U-Turn, Taunt and Stealth Rock, making it pretty good at pivoting.

Base Stats: 79 / 103 / 92 / 55 / 65 / 95 [BST: 489] (+0 HP / +0 Atk / +0 Def / +0 SpA / +0 SpD / +20 Spe)
New Ability: Toxin Rush = (Slush Rush + Poison Touch)
Ability Description: User's contact moves have a 30% Poison chance, 60% under Hail

Notable Moves:
Cross Chop, Earthquake, Ice Shard, Knock Off, Rapid Spin, Sucker Punch, Triple Axel
Stealth Rock, Swords Dance

Intended Role: Status Spreader, Physical Breaker
Role Justification: Mon is fairly straight forward. Triple Axel + Toxin Rush has around 97% Poison chance so long as all hits connect. This instantly turns Toxislash into a hard mon to switch into, as its risky getting a mon poisoned, and Steels can't safely switch in thanks to its secondary STAB. It also allows it to trouble some defensive mons on the opposing team, since being poisoned would make them struggle not only with toxislash but also make it harder for them to function defensively against the rest of the team.Ice + Fighting + Dark gives it perfect coverage, allowing it to use its last move slot either for utility with Priority/Hazards or for setting up with SD. Its a pretty decent Choiced mon as well so you mayopt for some additional coverage on that last slot to hit specific targets.

Hilariously enough, 3 out of our 4 contact-punishing abilities are on mons weak to Triple Axel so those aren't the best answer to this lol. Offensively, it isn't very fast and has rather frail bulk on the special side, so it can be revenge killed fairly consistently by some speedy special attackers such as Litleesect, Gourninja, Tapu Pilo and the like, with the only thing they have to watch out for being Ice Shard. Defensively, I believe its best answer to be the likes of Cofazor, as that troubles both of its STABs and is tanky enough to tank a coverage move while threatening toxilash with ts Steel STAB all the same. Pretty funny interaction with Toxicargo thanks to dual STAB resistance + Poison immunity + Flame Body, but Earthquake does take care of that dude pretty fast.

Type: Bug/Dark
Stat Distribution: 98/105/71/85/71/85 [515 BST] (+10 HP/2 Atk/1 Def/0 SpA/0 SpD/6 Spe)
Ability: Swarm Aura (Swarm + Dark Aura)
Ability Description: While the user is active, the power of Bug type moves used by active Pokemon is multiplied by 1.33x.
Relevant Moves:
Physical: Foul Play, Knock Off, Megahorn, Poison Jab, Sucker Punch, U-turn
Status: Defog, Swords Dance, Taunt
Intended Role: Offensive Pivot, Physical Wallbreaker, Physical Sweeper, Stallbreaker, Hazard Removal (Defog)
Role Justification: Bug can often be so underwhelming offensively, so I decided to give it a little boost. Swarm Aura allows Yveblast to fire off stronger U-turns and jack up Megahorn enough that it suddenly becomes scary for non-resists and frailer resists. You also get several options for Dark STAB and Poison Jab for Fairy types.

:ss/Druddigon: :ss/Dubwool:
Fusion: Drudwool
Type: Dragon/Normal
Stat Distribution: 85/100/95/60/95/68 [503 BST] (+11 HP/0 Atk/0 Def/0 SpA/5 SpD/0 Spe)
Ability: Fluff Skin (Fluffy + Rough Skin) [both effects]
Relevant Moves:
Physical: Body Slam, Dragon Tail, Earthquake, Gunk Shot, Scale Shot, Sucker Punch, Superpower
Status: Glare, Roar, Stealth Rock, Swords Dance, Toxic
Intended Role: Physical Tank, Hazard Spreader (Stealth Rock), Status Spreader, Physical Sweeper
Role Justification: Drudwool's ability allows it to annoy many physical attackers, both taking less damage from contact moves will damaging the attacker in return. It use this to be a solid utility mon, setting rocks, spreading Glare and/or Toxic, shuffling with Dragon Tail and hitting decently hard with key coverage like Earthquake and Gunk Shot. Alternatively, access to Swords Dance and Scale Shot can leverage its bulk to serve as a surprise late-game cleaner in tandem with solid coverage options.

:ss/Weezing-Galar: :ss/Slowking-Galar:
Fusion: Weezking-Galar
Type: Fairy/Psychic
Stat Distribution: 80/80/100/100/90/45 [495 BST] (+0 HP/3 Atk/0 Def/3 SpA/0 SpD/0 Spe)
Ability: Stagnant Fumes (Neutralizing Gas + Curious Medicine)
Stagnant Fumes: While user is active, all stat changes are ignored by all active Pokemon.
Relevant Moves:
Special: Dazzling Gleam, Future Sight, Overheat, Psychic, Psyshock, Scald, Strange Steam
Status: Aromatherapy, Defog, Slack Off, Toxic, Will-o-Wisp
Intended Role: Special Wallbreaker, Physical Tank, Hazard Removal (Defog), Cleric
Role Justification: Weezking's Stagnant Fumes nullify all stat changes, preventing enemy sweepers or random stat drops from overwhelming it but making setting up with it pointless. One interesting benefit, however, is that Overheat loses its main drawback, granting strong anti-Steel coverage that Weezking can use to break easier. King can use its movepool to accomplish several roles, whether straight up breaking, clearing hazards or curing its team of status.

:ss/Cryogonal: :ss/Duraludon:
Fusion: Cryoludon
Type: Ice/Steel
Stat Distribution: 75/75/85/107/100/95 [537 BST] (+0 HP/3 Atk/3 Def/0 SpA/8 SpD/0 Spe)
Ability: Levy Metal= Levitate + Light Metal [both effects]
Relevant Moves:
Physical: Knock Off, Rapid Spin
Special: Flash Cannon, Freeze-Dry, Ice Beam, Steel Beam, Thunder, Thunderbolt
Status: Defog, Recover, Stealth Rock, Thunder Wave, Toxic
Intended Role: Bulky Special Attacker, Special Cleaner, Hazard Removal (Rapid Spin, Defog), Hazard Setting (Stealth Rock)
Role Justification: Cryoludon packs the solid bulk, defensive typing and recovery to provide hazard removal for its team, benefitting from a Ground immunity and neutrality to Rocks; as such, it can make for a solid utility mon, especially with support options like status and Knock. However, Cryo is no slouch offensively, packing the famous BoltBeam combo and a respectable special attack to fire off attacks. With the speed boost from Spin, Cryo also thus has to potential to use a fast late-game cleaner set with some combo of STABs, Electric coverage and possible Recover. Just watch out for Fire and Fighting attacks.

:ss/Trevenant: :ss/Lycanroc-Midnight:
Fusion: Lycanant-Midnight
Type: Ghost/Rock
Stat Distribution: 85/112/75/60/90/69 [496 BST] (+0 HP/+0 Atk/+0 Def/+0 SpA/+12 SpD/+ 0 Spe)
Ability: Natural Guard (Natural Cure + No Guard)= both effects
Relevant Moves:
Physical: Bulk Up, Close Combat, Earthquake, Horn Leech, Play Rough, Poltergeist, Stone Edge, Sucker Punch, Wood Hammer
Status: Swords Dance, Stealth Rock, Trick
Intended Role: Physical Sweeper, Physical Wallbreaker, Hazard Setter (Stealth Rock)
Role Justification: Lycanant enter as a no-holds bar physical attacker with high powered attacks, notably two STABs that benefit from an accuracy boost. Lycanant also packs strong coverage options in Wood Hammer and Close Combat, although they do mean it can be worn down quickly.

This is a bit too much. Fantastic typing combined with very good bulk and decent attack, as well as recovery, makes for a mon that is too optimised in the eyes of the council.
