Unmanning Aerial Vehicle
DNA Donors: Articuno + Mudsdale
Offspring name: Emasculation
New Type: Ground/Ice
Base Stats: 110 (+15)/115 (+10)/110 (+10)/75/110 (+5)/60 (BST: 580)
New ability and desc: Hairy Bulwark (Pressure + Stamina): Every time this Pokémon uses 2 PP or is the target of a physical contact move, its Defence stat is boosted by 1 stage. Opponents use 2 PP per move.
Notable Moves: Ice Shard, Earthquake, Rock Slide, Avalanche, Sky Attack, U-Turn, Close Combat, Hail, Aurora Veil, Roost, Iron Defence, Light Screen, Reflect, Defog, Tailwind, Substitute, Protect
Role Identification: Surprisingly, a tank! Reliable recovery, slow pivot utility, and STAB Priority makes this effectively a better Mamoswine, though one with rather less in the way of movepool and a lot more in the way of defence. Weaknesses to Fire and Fighting aren't exactly what you'd call desirable, but there's a lot you can still do. Hail is a good weather for this Pokémon, since it has access to the brilliant Aurora Veil, but the standard Screens are good too. There's Roost for healing up after your Subs, the ability to build up your Defence with your ability and Iron Defence, and finally there's the possibility of using it as a slow pivot to scope out the opponent's moves and setup with Tailwind. Overall, it's the dog's... well, you know. =]

Offspring Name: Chatelaine
New Type: Bug/Steel
New Base Stats: 100 (+19)/120 (+7)/110 (+4)/100 (+5)/110 (+4)/50 (+1. Look, it bugged me, okay?) (BST: 590)
New Ability & Description: (Flash Fire + Swarm) Firefly: Immune to Fire-type attacks and burns. Upon being hit by a Fire-type move of any kind or being reduced to below 50% HP, this Pokémon's Bug-, Fire-, and Steel-type attacks do 1.5x extra damage. These effects stack.
Notable Moves: Megahorn, Fell Stinger, Iron Head, Fire Fang, Flame Charge, Earthquake, Knock Off, Stone Edge, Payback, Pursuit, Taunt, Swords Dance, Rest, Sleep Talk
Role Identification: Hoo boy, look at this bug. Having no weaknesses, eight resistances, and an immunity to an increasingly common coverage type, Chatelaine has a pretty much perfect defensive typing. Switching in on a predicted Fire-type attack means you can also boost your STABs on the fly, with access to Swords Dance and a decent Attack stat meaning you can finally get reliable boosts off of Fell Stinger, especially since it's a 50 BP move now. A boosted STAB Megahorn can beat down a huge variety of opponents, while Flame Charge can attempt to make up for its atrocious Speed. Alternatively, you could give it Fire Fang and bung it on a TR team, at which point it can annihilate all comers with relative ease. This chatelaine can definitely hold the key to your future success. =]

Shared egg group: Water 1
Offspring name: Stonewall
New type: Water
New base stats: 104/91/105/100/107/81 (BST: 588)
New ability and desc: Regenerative Architecture (Rain Dish + Ice Body): This Pokémon heals for 1/16 of its max HP every turn, rising to 1/8 of its max HP in Rain or Hail. It also takes no damage from Hail.
Notable moves: Hydro Pump, Surf, Frost Breath, Blizzard, Scald, Flash Cannon, Brine, Super Fang, Aqua Ring, Iron Defence, Rest, Sleep Talk
Role Identification: A very, very defensive Pokémon which takes the "bulky Water-type" archetype to a new level. In certain weathers, with Aqua Ring up and Lefties, it can heal for 25% of its not inconsiderable HP every single turn, and with Lefties it heals for 12.5% every turn regardless of weather. Couple that with a 104/105/107 defensive statline and it's a serious contender, with only a lack of burst recovery (Recover, Roost, &c) holding it back. Scald is a great STAB move whatever the weather, and Frost Breath can other walls from feeling safe to boost, while Super Fang is a great move for any wall, especially if its teamed with STAB Brine. It can also run a RestTalk set for even more durability, but there's one more option available...

Offspring name: Mega Stonewall @ Blastoisinite
New type: Water
New base stats: 104/111/125/150/117/81 (BST: 688)
New ability and desc: Mega Launcher
Notable moves: See above + Water Pulse, Dark Pulse, Dragon Pulse, Aura Sphere
Role Identification: An even bulkier Mega Blastoise for even bulkier special offense. Mega Stonewall's brutal 150 Special Attack and great defensive statline allows it to bludgeon a huge variety of opponents into submission with powerful STAB moves and boosted coverage. There's not a lot of variety here, though Frost Breath is probably a better pick over one of the pulse moves, but it's still worth using as a very potent special attacker. Some fusions are good. Get over it. =]

Offspring name: Prettier
New type: Rock/Ground
New base stats: 115/134/127/75/80/58 (BST: 589)
New ability and desc: Inviolate (Shell Armour + Solid Rock): This Pokémon takes no damage from super-effective moves unless hit by a critical hit, after which point they do 25% less damage. Critical hits do not do any additional damage.
Notable moves: EdgeQuake, Megahorn, Poison Jab, Superpower, Shadow Claw, Iron Head, Payback, Avalanche, Synthesis, Curse, Worry Seed, Swords Dance
Role Identification: The tankiest Rock/Ground-type you ever did see. While the abundance of critmons in FE means that Prettier's ability is less all-powerful than it might be, it's still a fantastic boost to its survivability in a tier rich in Water-, Fighting-, and Ground-type moves, to say nothing of other Fusions' Steel STAB. Meanwhile, its STAB EdgeQuake can come out to play, giving it pretty much perfect neutral coverage against non-Levitate mons, while it has a litany of coverage options to take out common checks. Just remember that its Special Defence isn't brilliant, so it can only take so many neutral hits... which is presumably why you're running Synthesis on it. I mean, it's pretty obvious. =]

Offspring name: Paragon
New type: Normal/Fighting
New base stats: 87/114/83/74/80/77 (BST: 515)
New ability and desc: Renegade Removal (Analytic + Iron Fist): Punching moves gain +50% base power. All moves deal +50% bonus damage if this Pokémon moves last.
Notable moves: Focus Punch, Comet Punch, Elemental Punches, Power-Up Punch, Drain Punch, Bullet Punch, Hammer Arm, Shadow Claw, Substitute, Swords Dance
Role Identification: A punch moves abuser in the mould of Agrippa, this fusion is probably FE's premier abuser of SubPunch, though other options are available. Its Normal typing grants it a handy immunity to Ghost, but there are no really good Normal STAB moves for it to take advantage of with the possible exception of Comet Punch, which I've included largely for the sake of completeness. Its Fighting STAB, however, is an embarrassment of riches, with a huge variety of moves that take advantage of its ability. Focus Punch is the obvious example, but it also gains access to moves like Drain Punch for massive survivability, Hammer Arm for more reliable damage, and Power-Up Punch for free boosts and not inconsiderable damage - its Attack stat will by no means set the world on fire, but it's definitely usable. There is also pseudo-BoltBeam coverage in the Thunder and Ice Punches respectively, while Shadow Claw gives that Ghost/Fighting coverage the kids are all into these days. Finally, it can also have a bash at a Swords Dance set, but be careful; its defences aren't that brilliant. I'm not Commander Shepard, but this is definitely my favourite fusion in the slate. So far. =]

Parents: Breloom + Lurantis
Shared egg group: Grass
Offspring name: Arboretum
New type: Grass/Fighting
New base stats: 75/127/95/80/85/67 (BST: 529)
New ability and desc: Dendromancy (Effect Spore + Contrary): This Pokémon's moves that target another Pokémon (including non-damaging moves) have a 10% chance to inflict Paralysis, Poison, and Sleep with every hit in addition to any other effects those moves might have. Stat changes are inverted, including from indirect sources (status ailments &c).
Notable moves: Bullet Seed, Superpower, Leaf Blade, Facade, Leech Life, Drain Punch, Poison Jab, Thunder Punch, Mach Punch, Leaf Storm, Vacuum Wave, Synthesis, Spore, Worry Seed, Toxic
Role Identification: Slow status spreader and irritant. Effectively a Guts abuser thanks to its beefed-up ability, Arboretum is a very useful physical attacker to have on the team (especially since Burn does way less damage in Gen 7), but its primary niche is as a reliable status spreader through moves like Spore and Toxic. However, it can also inflict fairly nasty effects through simply hitting stuff, also courtesy of its ability. The Guts + Facade combo is in full effect here, but it's combined with an Attack-boosting STAB Superpower and the ability to heal with either Drain Punch or Leech Life, depending on what your coverage needs are. Thunder Punch and Poison Jab are also handy in that they get an additional 10% chance to inflict their respective statuses in addition to Sleep and Poison, which is pretty nice. Just watch out for other attackers oneshotting it - it's so easy to get lost in its positives that you can sometimes miss the wood for the trees. =]

Ooooooh...
Parents: Charjabug + Araquanid
Shared egg group: Bug
Offspring name: Barracuda
New type: Water/Electric
New base stats: 72/86/103/62/113/49 (BST: 485)
New ability and desc: Plymouth Power (Battery + Water Bubble): Water-type moves have their Base Power increased by +100% before applying STAB. This Pokémon is immune to burns. This Pokémon and its allies have their Special Attack stat boosted by 30% and take 50% less damage from Fire-type attacks.
Notable moves: Thunderbolt, Surf, Frost Breath, Charge Beam, Wild Charge, Liquidation, Leech Life, Waterfall, Power Split
Role Identification: One trick pony, but ooooh, what a trick. Water/Electric is a pretty excellent typing, and with the proper investment that seemingly useless 62 Special Attack suddenly becomes a whole lot more viable. It has very usable defensive stats allowing it to be the bulky sweeper Trick Room teams always wanted, especially with that frankly dismal Speed. It's in Doubles where this mon really shines, though; boosting a partner's (such as Mega Magmozam) Special Attack stat by 30% is pretty insane, and it can cover for the tier's multiple Steel-types with its ability. Speaking of which, that ability gives it some serious punch in Singles too. Surf hits like a speeding bus with this thing, and anything that doesn't resist Water will get seriously beaten up by it. Additional coverage in the form of Thunderbolt and Frost Breath (basically a slightly improved BoltBeam) gives it neutral damage on pretty much everything, and it can even make good use of Power Split to drain the Attack and Special Attack of potential checks and counters, especially on a Trick Room team. All you need to do with this one is take her into your heart, and she can be your little queen. =]

Watch out for her condescension
DNA Donors: Oricorio-Sensu + Pheromosa
Offspring name: Imperiousness
New Type: Ghost/Fighting
Base Stats: 73/123 (+20)/53/137 (+20)/53/122 (BST: 571)
New ability and desc: Patronising Pasadoble (Dancer + Beast Boost): When this Pokémon uses a Dance move, its highest non-HP stat is boosted by +1 Combat Stage. When one of this Pokémon's opponents uses a Dance move or is KOed, this Pokémon automatically uses one of its Dance moves.
Notable Moves: Revelation Dance, Focus Miss, Ice Beam, High Jump Kick, Poison Jab, Acrobatics, Quiver Dance, Swords Dance
Role Identification: Absolute holy terror if you manage to get a boost off, and still an unpleasant prospect if you don't. While it isn't what you'd call durable (not with those defences) and it doesn't have Pheromosa's enormous Attack stat or Speed (though an attacking statline of 123/137/122 is hardly unusable), what it lacks in staying power and versatility it more than makes up for in sheer brute force as a mixed attacker that can seriously mix it. STAB Ghost/Fighting coverage makes other sweepers green with envy. Add to that an amazing ability that allows you to boost hugely upon a kill, and you've got yourself a monster in the making. Just watch out for priority, and remember: pride comes before your enemies' fall. =]
