Galarian Linoone is one of the best offensive pivots in the metagame thanks to its great Speed tier, being only naturally outsped by Persian and Drakloak, and access to Parting Shot. Its unique typing allows it to check very common Psychic- and Ghost-types such as Lunatone and Gourgeist-L. Moreover, its strong Knock Off allows it to cripple its common checks such as Machoke, Mudbray, and Cufant by removing their Eviolite, enabling Galarian Linoone to beat them later in the game. With Taunt, Galarian Linoone can prevent checks like Pyukumuku, Trubbish and Vullaby from healing, gradually weakening them. Thunder Wave cripples opposing offensive Pokemon such as Mr. Mime, Silvally-Ice, and Wartortle, allowing Galarian Linoone's slower teammates to outspeed and revenge kill them.
Galarian Linoone fits very well on bulky offense and balance teams with VoltTurn cores, so other VoltTurn users such as Silvally-Ice, Mienfoo, and Klang are appreciated. In addition, wallbreakers and sweepers such as Mr. Mime, Farfetch'd, and Octillery enjoy safely coming on the field through Parting Shot and can take advantage of Galarian Linoone's common checks such as Cufant, Sudowoodo, and Shiinotic. Thanks to Knock Off, Taunt, and great bulk, Galarian Linoone is able to support its team by pressuring bulky cores and preventing Defoggers from clearing entry hazards. Fighting-type checks such as Trubbish, Gourgeist-L, and Ivysaur are great partners, since they are able to sponge Fighting-type moves for Galarian Linoone and appreciate its ability to take on Ghost- and Psychic-types. Moreover, Fighting-types like Machoke and Hakamo-o can break through Rock- and Steel-types such as Sudowoodo and Klang that Galarian Linoone struggle with, while Galarian Linoone deals with Ghost- and Psychic-types that aren't threatened by Fighting-type moves.

Thanks to the combination of Toxic Orb and Quick Feet, Galarian Linoone outspeeds the whole tier, only Speed tying with Galarian Mr. Mime after a Rapid Spin, making it one of the best revenge killers. Despite its mediocre Attack stat, Facade hits very hard and can 2HKO most uninvested threats such as Wartortle, Silvally-Ice, and Whiscash. Furthermore, Galarian Linoone's STAB combination is unresisted in the whole tier, and most Pokemon that can sponge Facade, such as defensive Machoke, Klang, and Gourgeist-L, are either weak to Galarian Linoone's STAB Knock Off or rely on their Eviolite to take Facade and other strong hits. Moreover, Galarian Linoone can pivot and generate momentum thanks to Parting Shot. Once badly poisoned, it can use Switcheroo to obtain a check's item like Shiinotic's Leftovers, Machoke's Eviolite, or Corsola's Rocky Helmet and cripple them with Toxic poison. However, it can also run Protect in order to safely activate Toxic Orb, therefore securing its great Speed tier for later, while also avoiding Farfetch'd's First Impression.
Since Galarian Linoone is put on a timer due to being badly poisoned, it only fits on offensive teams that are looking for a fast revenger killer. Additionally, it fits very well in VoltTurn cores with partners such as Silvally-Ice and Mienfoo that take advantage of Galarian Linoone's checks like defensive Gourgeist-L and Cufant. Furthermore, since Galarian Linoone's raw power attracts physically bulky Pokemon such as Machoke, Klang, and Mudbray, special attackers such as Mr. Mime, Whiscash, and Lunatone that can take advantage of them are great partners that can easily come on the field thanks to Galarian Linoone's Parting Shot.
