the year was 2012. july. i was in my last month of being 21 years old, which meant i was living in atlanta and debauchery was my middle name. i suffered my first mini-stroke once Gangam Style hit 100,000 views on release day, then another one at 200,000, etc.... eventually i woke up a week later having suffered 22 consecutive mini-strokes that radiologists claimed made my brain look like it had been "pwned."

today marks the ten year anniversary of when my life changed forever. i cant walk but if i could, i would gangnam style :boi:
 
Someone on Smogon (and I forget who I’m sorry) told me that Gangnam Style was going to be big when it had less than 100,000 views and I was like yeah okay fat chance. And then look what happened. Moral of the story is believe everything you hear on the Internet
 
This song is the reason why from some point people said I'm from gangnam style

I also remember this Jake Paul advocate who switched from saying "England is my city" to "Gangnam is my city" everyday

lol, i was 5 at the time or something, so I can't recall the time it took the world by storm.

that being said, happy tenth birthday to the song.
 
I have a slight memory of a weird-ass parody that my uncle used to show to the whole family, where the main character of the video really wanted to go the bathroom (certified 2012 humor moment). I don't recall very well what actually was happening in the rest of the video, but if I find it I'll send a link here, unless the video is something disgusting.

It was the start of the 2010's, I don't know what to expect either.
