Choice Scarf (Garchomp) @ Choice Scarf

SPs: 2 HP / 32 Atk / 32 Spe

- Outrage
- Stone Edge / Rock Tomb
- Poison Jab / Stealth Rock

[SET COMMENTS]
Choice Scarf Garchomp is blessed with a Speed tier that allows it to outrun common sweepers such as Volcarona and Mega Charizard X after a Speed boost, as well as other fast attackers such as Mega Raichu Y and Mega Delphox, and swiftly KOes them with its powerful STAB moves and coverage. It also lets it avoid having to Speed tie with Mega Floette. Outrage is an incredibly powerful STAB option that can clean up games once Pokemon that resist or are immune to it have been dealt with. Stone Edge targets common Ground-immune foes such as Mega Charizard Y, Mega Delphox, and Mega Clefable. It also OHKOes Volcarona, a threat that Earthquake does not OHKO. Rock Tomb is a much more accurate option that still OHKOes offensive Volcarona and Mega Charizard Y. Its Speed drop can also leave setup sweepers such as Dragonite and Mega Froslass easier for teammates to revenge kill. However, Rock Tomb cannot OHKO Mega Delphox, even after Stealth Rock, and cannot 2HKO Mega Clefable. Poison Jab is the strongest option available to hit Fairy-types, most notably OHKOing Mega Meganium, which would otherwise counter Garchomp, after Stealth Rock damage. It also does slightly more damage to Fairy-types than an unresisted Earthquake, which can be relevant when looking to KO foes such as Mega Floette and Clefable. Stealth Rock may let Garchomp act as a secondary setter if its team already handles Mega Meganium effectively, though locking into it gives up momentum.

Choice Scarf Garchomp can easily find its place on offense and balance teams looking for solid Speed control to deal with the likes of Volcarona, Mega Charizard X, and Mega Raichu Y. It also boasts a solid defensive typing that lets it switch into various attacks it resists or is immune to. Corviknight is Garchomp's main obstacle when trying to make progress, so teammates most apt at pressuring it and making progress against it, such as Black Glasses Hisuian Samurott, Rotom-Wash, and Shadow Ball Aegislash, are of utmost importance. Defensive teammates Garchomp can fall back on after being locked into a move, such as Corviknight, Galarian Slowking, and Rotom-Wash, are highly valuable. They also have the added benefit of having pivoting moves to bring Garchomp back in safely. In return, Garchomp handles their answers, such as Mega Raichu Y, Excadrill, and Mega Dragalge, respectively. Galarian Slowking in particular is one of the rare switch-ins to Mega Meganium, and is, for this reason, one of Choice Scarf Garchomp's best teammates. Stealth Rock setters such as Glimmora, Clefable, and Tinkaton are a great fit to fix various key interactions, such as breaking Dragonite's and Mega Dragonite's Multiscale, breaking Focus Sash from Ceruledge, and putting Mega Meganium in range of Poison Jab, so Garchomp can reliably KO them. Garchomp appreciates particularly strong physical wallbreakers such as Blaziken, Mega Mawile, and Mega Metagross overpowering physical walls such as Corviknight, Hippowdon, and Clefable, so that Garchomp may clean up late-game. In return, Garchomp can switch into Fire-type attacks targeting the latter two. Offensive Poison- and Steel-type teammates such as Mega Glimmora, Mega Metagross, and Mega Mawile are able to proactively switch into Fairy-types such as Mega Floette and Clefable and immediately pressure them, though they must be careful of Mega Meganium's coverage options.

Stone Edge targets common Ground immunities such as Mega Charizard Y, Mega Delphox, and Mega Clefable. It also OHKOes Volcarona, which Earthquake is shy of reaching a guaranteed OHKO on. Rock Tomb is a much more accurate option that still reaches an OHKO on offensive Mega Charizard Y and Volcarona (can fail to kill bulky volc), but cannot OHKO Mega Delphox even after Stealth Rock, and cannot 2HKO Mega Clefable. Its Speed drop can also leave setup sweepers such as Dragonite and opposing Garchomp easier for teammates to revenge kill. (if chomp is going down anyway, slowing something like dnite or an opposing chomp can prevent it from using the turn to snowball and make it much easier for the next teammate to revenge kill? can change examples if you want) Poison Jab is the strongest option available against Fairy-types, most notably OHKOing Mega Meganium after Stealth Rock damage, which would otherwise counter Garchomp. It also does slightly more damage to Fairy-types than a neutral Earthquake, which can be relevant when looking to KO foes such as Mega Floette and Clefable. Stealth Rock may let Garchomp act as a secondary setter if its team already handles Mega Meganium effectively, (AC) though locking into it can give up momentum.

Defensive teammates Garchomp can fall back on after being locked into a move, such as Corviknight, Galarian Slowking, and Rotom-Wash are necessary (kinda like concrete wording no? they're valueble not necessary right?). They also have the added benefit of having pivoting moves to bring Garchomp back in safely. Indeed, but I don't see changes regarding this. Did you mean to add another change?

This was more so a "change as you see fit" kind of change. Do you want to change the move to Outrage, or would you rather update the language to stick with Earthquake?
