Pokemon: Gardevoir
Nature: Calm
Ability: Trace
Item: Leftovers

EVs:
252 HP
252 Def.
6 Sp. Def

I chose to max HP and Defensive EPs to simply allow Gardevoir to take as many hits as possible plus with Thunder Wave Speed EPs aren't really needed.

Calm is simply used to be able to initially take Special hits better.

Moves:
Thunder Wave
Charm
Light Screen
Wish

Thunder Wave is obvious. Cripple any Pokemon that doesn't resists it. It works wonders against sweepers trying to switch on Gardevoir, and set up. Combed with Charm, and you'll stop most Physical Sweepers pretty much in any format. Add Light Screen to slow down Special Sweepers, to be able to counter both sides on an attacker in case your facing a mixed Sweeper. Wish finishes off the list by giving some recovery and aiding the team. It's effectiveness is increased when you have crippled your opponent's Pokemon by using anyone of the previous three attacks.

I chose Charm over Will-o-Wisp because of the accuracy factor, and it's not a special condition. So you could Paralyze and then reduce their attack. I initially had this as a Dual Screen set, which Reflect could also replace Charm. But the way this set functions is to cripple a single Pokemon, and force switches. Plus Reflect fades away over time, and this set also gives you the freedom to run Leftovers instead of Light Clay. I believe this set is most effective in a stall team but can be used in any other team.

This set is a mixture of Dual Screen, Dual Status and Support Gardy:

Dual Screen:
Light Screen and Charm act pretty much the same as Light Screen and Reflect with some pros and cons.

Dual Status:
Thunder Wave and Charm replace T-Wave and Will-o-Wisp with again their own pros and cons.

Support Gardy:
This entire sets just screams Support. Whether it's Paralyzing, reducing attack, setting up a screen, or helping your team recover some HP Gardy does it all in one set. It's like using Memento but without having Gardy instantly KOed.

An added bonus to the set is that it's unpredictable, your opponent may believe your running one of the previously mentioned sets, and by the time they figure out your set you will have made a huge dent on their team. Trace adds to this fun and annoying set by allowing Gardevoir to be able to switch in on many Pokemon and start the annoying process on the switch.
Thoughts or concerns?

Aside from paralyzising it doesn't really do much to the sweepers, how does it prevent them from setting up to other heights, not to mention charm is quite unreliable

I believe QC does reserve the right to say a flat out no on a set that can't be seen seriously. So here.

The biggest reasons why I wouldn't use this set at all:

- Charm is terrible when you have Will-O-Wisp and Reflect; both are superior options here.
- Protect is kind of necessary with Wish if you want to survive.
- Which leads to the next conclusion: It's pretty much Dual Screen with an option with Will-O-Wisp... and no attacking moves.
- Which means you're fucked by Taunt.

So the tl;dr version; I doubt this set's effectiveness all the way. Philip, if you object, then I guess you can chew me out. Though the others on IRC agreed with me.
