STATUS: just started
NOTE: i am new to smogon so I have most likely done something wrong
NOTE 2: I did post this set in the OU analysis but it was incorect so I will try UU
NOTE 3: If this one is incorect as well then I will move on to another pokemon in Ubers/OU/UU
[SET]
name:HG/SS bulky calm mind gardevoir
move 1: encore(NOTE: encore is only avalible in HG/SS as an egg move)
move 2: calm mind/wish
move 3: psychic
move 4: focus blast
item:leftovers
ability: trace
nature: Timid
evs:128 HP / 128 SpD / 252 Speed
[SET COMMENTS]

Paragraph 1 -
normally, gardevoir is outclassed by bulky pokemon like cressilia and uxie.
sweepers like espeon and alakazam outclass it as well but gardevoir is unique due to trace.
it also has a very wide support movepool so this pokemon can work in UU quite well(and maybe OU).

Paragraph 2 -
encore is the move that seperates it from other psychic types and can lock them into a move that does not do damage and can set up calm mind.
Psychic gets a STAB bonus and even with no EV's in SpA, gardevoir's SpA is 429 after a calm mind so SpA EV's are not really needed on this set.
focus blast can hit the steel pokemon in UU for a lot of damage after calm mind while wish is still an option if you want to have a way of recovering HP.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

- I mentioned earlier that focus blast does a lot of damage to the steel types in UU and OU after a calm mind.
focus blast VS max HP / max SpD steelix: 83.1% - 98.3% (I think spikes will make this a OHKO)
focus blast VS max HP / max SpD registeel: 46.7% - 54.9%
focus blast VS max HP / max SpD heatran: 56.0% - 66.3%
Focus blast VS max HP / max SpD skarmory: 42.2% - 50.0%

Items and EV's -
you will need max speed to use calm mind first or to use wish, the other 256 EV go into HP and SpD with half each(128 EV in both)
Life orb is an optional item but if you use it I would recommend wish over calm mind so the moves look like this
- encore
- wish
- psychic
- focus blast
with wish and a life orb, you can recover the recoil from life orb you will lose, in addition: if you use trace on a clefable, you can get magic guard and the recoil from the life orb will not happen.

- Opinion -
this set CAN play similarly to bulky latias as both have calm mind and/or a healing move, in general this set can be used as a sweeper or for wish support. it depends on your team and te tier you use gadevoir in.
if you use this in UU, it would be better as a sweeper but in OU: use it as wish support. if you do not have azelf, jirachi or latias, then you can use it as a sweeper but is not reccomended

Team options -
like most pokemon, gardevoir likes support from stealth rock users like steelix as it resists its weaknesses and can help gardevoir get some OHKO's and 2HKO's.
milotic can resist the fire attacks that steelix does not like and does not mind being hit by status problems as it can use rest to recove health and double its defence

Other Moves -
T-wave, will-o-wisp and toxic are good if you want to use it as support pokemon. energy ball, hidden power fire, thunderbolt and shadow ball can be used if you want to use it as a sweeper.
gardevoir can also learn light screen, reflect, trick, trick room, gravity, weather changing moves, taunt, snatch and healing wish so it has a wide choice of moves to choose from. it means gardevoir can play lots of different roles.

Counters -
in OU, Heatran is a great offensive threat to bring in on Gardevoir, as it, too, absorbs Will-O-Wisp with Flash Fire, resists Psychic and Grass Knot, and has the Special Defense to shrug off Thunderbolt.
while in UU, cressilia and uxie can take +1 shadow balls pretty well:
+1 shadow ball vs max HP / max SpD uxie: 35.6% - 42.4%
+1 shadow ball vs max HP / max SpD cressilia: 28.4% - 33.8%
as you can see, shadow ball just barely 3HKO's cressilia but on the plus side. uxie can not do much with it's base 75 SpA other then T-wave then u-turn and cressilia also has 75 base SpA so do not expect them to 2HKO gardevoir
