Hi ! My name's Gbasire, I'm a 20yo swiss and french guy, and I've been in love with digital creation for 6 years.
I'm doing stuff in pretty much every domain in the digital creation field, as I love to explore and learn new stuff :)
Here is a sample of my work :
The first one is a logo for Coup Critique's Ladder Tournament, the DCT, and the second one is a logo for Coup Critique's Team Lock Tournament, the SST.
Process : Pencil drawing on paper, then tracing them on Adobe Illustrator using ink points, and text done on Adobe Photoshop
As you can see, I love monsters :))
The first one is a realistic interpretation of a Squirtle part of my Squirtle Squad project, the second one is a detailed interpretation of Elden Ring's Serpent-Snail, the third one is an Ilu from Avatar : The Way of Water, made during my bachelor thesis project, and the last one is the odd one out, a futuristic gun.
Process : Sculpting on Zbrush, Modeling on Maya, Texturing on Substance Painter and Mari, compositing on Nuke and Photoshop
I may expain more about the project if some people are interested in giving feedback, I gathered most stuff on this online public document if you want to check it out !
Process : Concept drawn on paper by me and a friend who's better at it than me, then I make a quick 3d model to have a good reference about proportions, perspective, etc, then I draw all the bodyparts, each on a separate layer, and I animate them on After Effects with a pseudo rig system using pivot points and linked layers.
Process : Pencil drawing on paper, then take it as a reference and re-do it on Photoshop or FireAlpaca (I sometimes make a quick 3D model if I have a hard time dealing with perspective and proportions). I use a simple digital drawing methodology, consisting of a rough line art, then a clean one, then color the inside in grey and add each color and each shadow/light on a separate layer in clipping mode
I've been doing these for 5 years already, and even though I'm not actively working on doing more right now, I still do some sometimes, it's very fun.
Also, it gave me a lot of skills on various software, especially After Effects which I absolutely love to hate
Process : Either I receive a logo and I prepare everything on Photoshop and Illustrator before animating it on After Effects, or I do everything from scratch if I have to, and same as before, the whole animation is done on After Effects too.
It's hard to describe the animation process itself because it varies a lot depending on the project, but I use a lot of shapes and trim path animations, it's always useful !
That's it ! I also do some other stuff as I love to explore every digital creation field as you can see, but it would be too long to show everything :p
I also do most of the infographics on Coup Critique's Twitter, pretty proud of that.
I will try to update this thread whenever I do something new !
Big shoutout to the artist GOAT Brumirage too :D
See you soon when I finish a project !

Pokémon Logos
These logos were done for Coup Critique's tournaments, part of their 4000€ 2024 circuit, it's open to everyone so feel free to join them !The first one is a logo for Coup Critique's Ladder Tournament, the DCT, and the second one is a logo for Coup Critique's Team Lock Tournament, the SST.

3D
3D is my main field, as I'm at the end of my bachelor studies on 3D for the VFX industry. As you can see, I love monsters :))

Pokémon Sprites
I'm not really a pixel artist, but I've been experiencing with spriting because I have my own fangame project in mind, as you can see with these fakemons.I may expain more about the project if some people are interested in giving feedback, I gathered most stuff on this online public document if you want to check it out !

Drawings
To be honest I'm not a very good drawer so even if these look alright, I still have a lot of trouble dealing with pespective and volumes, but my experience in visual creation helps me to make them look better than my actual skills hahaProcess : Pencil drawing on paper, then take it as a reference and re-do it on Photoshop or FireAlpaca (I sometimes make a quick 3D model if I have a hard time dealing with perspective and proportions). I use a simple digital drawing methodology, consisting of a rough line art, then a clean one, then color the inside in grey and add each color and each shadow/light on a separate layer in clipping mode
Motion Design
