[SET COMMENTS]
Mold Breaker Mega Diancie is an amazing sweeper. It has a great STAB move that helps Imposter-proof it in Pixie Plate Judgment, impressive offensive stats, and fairly good Speed. Spore and Dark Void are excellent options to gain free setup turns against would-be checks, such as specially defensive Wonder Guard Primal Kyogre and Blissey. Spore is usually preferred because it means one teammate, Safety Goggles + Prankster Giratina, is enough to almost perfectly Imposter-proof Mega Diancie. However, Dark Void is also a great option due to bypassing opposing Safety Goggles users. Shell Smash immensely bolsters Mega Diancie's offensive prowess in a single turn. Fairy-type Judgment is an exceptionally valuable STAB move to have; not only is it noticeably stronger than Moonblast, but it also greatly diminishes the pressure that Imposter Chansey imposes on Mega Diancie, letting Giratina and specially defensive Primal Kyogre Imposter-proof it extremely well. This reduced pressure allows it to safely set up with Shell Smash in nearly any matchup. Additionally, Judgment threatens a wide enough portion of the metagame that Mega Diancie can often force progress without relying on Shell Smash boosts. Steam Eruption is an amazing coverage option that OHKOes Primal Groudon, 2HKOes Ho-Oh after a Shell Smash, and hits defensive Steel-types, like Wonder Guard Mega Scizor, Mega Steelix, and to an extent Registeel. Although some Steel-types, like Registeel running Knock Off, can stand up to a boosted Steam Eruption and threaten Mega Diancie's wallbreaking, Mega Diancie can annoy them by burning them over the course of the game. Mold Breaker allows Mega Diancie to ignore Wonder Guard, letting it make maximum use of its great offensive typing. A Modest nature further increases Mega Diancie's power, with it notably OHKOing uninvested Mega Latios after Stealth Rock and offensive Arceus after a Shell Smash. 252 Speed EVs, even without Timid, are enough to outspeed a sizable portion of the metagame.

Mega Diancie fits best on bulky offense and balance teams that can take advantage of its offensive typing and resistance to Imposter Chansey to get and retain momentum. They must also tolerate Mega Diancie's mediocre Speed for a frail Shell Smash sweeper. Mega Diancie fits well into the metagame's most dominant core of Mold Breaker Primal Groudon, Giratina, and Substitute + Baton Pass Wonder Guard Xerneas; it threatens Primal Groudon's most prominent switch-in in Giratina, broadly does well in most matchups Primal Groudon and Giratina struggle in, and is an excellent recipient of Substitutes from Xerneas. In return, Primal Groudon can switch into its defensive checks like Wonder Guard Blissey and provide Stealth Rock support, Giratina can come in on Choice Band Mega Rayquaza and Choice Scarf Primal Groudon, and Xerneas can switch in on -ate Speed users that would otherwise take full advantage of Mega Diancie's need to switch out. As Mega Diancie is quite frail, Substitute support from Baton Pass users like Wonder Guard Xerneas, Mega Swampert, and Magic Bounce Giratina is appreciated, even when Mega Diancie is not used in the aforementioned core. Shadow Tag users, in particular Mega Mewtwo X and Primal Groudon, can remove most checks to Mega Diancie with Fire-type coverage or STAB moves. Mega Mewtwo X also revenge kills Huge Power Mega Gyarados, which can force Mega Diancie out with Water Shuriken—or force a coinflip scenario with Water Shuriken and Pursuit when Mega Diancie is weakened. Pursuit users, in particular Mega Gyarados and Mega Tyranitar, work well with Mega Diancie, as they can heavily damage Pokemon that can remove it before Shell Smash, in particular Shadow Tag Slaking and Regigigas. Finally, slow defensive Wonder Guard users, such as Primal Kyogre, Slaking, Mega Audino, Blissey, and Escavalier, can provide Defog and Aromatherapy support while also acting as slow pivots, helping to get Mega Diancie on the field.

Other Options
=============

Searing Shot is an option over Spore or Dark Void to break past would-be checks, such as Registeel and the rare Mega Venusaur and Ferrothorn; alternatively, Blue Flare can OHKO Registeel after a Shell Smash, but Searing Shot is usually better due to its accuracy and most of Mega Diancie's checks getting worn down often by entry hazards. Further, lacking a sleep move leaves Mega Diancie vulnerable against offensive teams. Either Fire-type move can also be run over Steam Eruption, but this leaves Mega Diancie vulnerable against healthy Primal Groudon running Lum Berry. Diamond Storm KOes Ho-Oh and threatens Wonder Guard Blissey, but like Fire-type coverage, it is hard to fit. Earth Power and Precipice Blades are usable over Steam Eruption, with the former threatening Registeel and Mega Steelix and the latter better threatening Registeel and Blissey; however, usually neither is worth it, as they leave Mega Diancie walled by Ho-Oh and forced out by unscouted Mega Scizor. King's Shield is another option for the first moveslot, as it provides protection against many Pokemon: -ate Speed users such as Kyurem-B, Pixilate Mega Diancie, and Mega Abomasnow, Huge Power Slaking and Regigigas not running Water Shuriken, and to an extent Shadow Tag Slaking and Regigigas. However, lacking a sleep move leaves Mega Diancie forced out by healthy Primal Kyogre and Wonder Guard Blissey with Knock Off, and King's Shield does not help if Mega Diancie is already weakened. Moonblast can work over Judgment, as it is still a fairly powerful STAB move and allows Mega Diancie to run useful items like Lum Berry, Focus Sash, and Leftovers, but the loss in power and vulnerability to opposing Imposter users is usually too much to justify running it. Finally, a Timid nature can be run to outspeed Adamant or Modest Mega Rayquaza, Modest Mega Latios, opposing Mold Breaker Mega Diancie, and Modest Arceus, but the loss in power—and the inherent risks in staying in on most of these threats—means Timid is often not worth it.

Besides Pixilate and Shell Smash Mold Breaker sets, Mega Diancie can opt for two niche options in Choice Specs + Mold Breaker and Huge Power. The former takes advantage of Mega Diancie's ability to pose an immediate threat, forcing switches, and often sacks, with Choice Specs-boosted Moonblast, Steam Eruption, Fire-type coverage (or Trick), and Volt Switch. Huge Power Mega Diancie largely relies on the surprise disguising itself as Pixilate Mega Diancie until it hopefully KOes an opposing Wonder Guard user. While these are usable options, Choice Specs Mega Diancie is often too slow to make progress against more offensive teams and can be a pain to Imposter-proof, and Huge Power Mega Diancie is virtually completely inferior to Mega Mewtwo X when the surprise is revealed.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Shadow Tag Users**: Offensive Shadow Tag users, such as Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Mewtwo Y, and Choice Scarf Primal Groudon, can outspeed and OHKO Mega Diancie. Likewise, Shadow Tag revenge killers, in particular Slaking and Regigigas, can OHKO it with the common Bullet Punch. This necessitates Mega Diancie having teammates with Substitute + Baton Pass to make any progress, especially when the Shadow Tag Slaking or Regigigas user runs pivoting support. However, offensive Shadow Tag users without priority usually can't threaten a boosted Mega Diancie.

**Revenge Killers**: Due to it being relatively frail, priority revenge killers almost always force boosted Mega Diancie out. In particular, Huge Power Mega Gyarados outright OHKOes it with Water Shuriken, and Mega Diancie switching out can let Pursuit KO if it is heavily damaged. -Ate Speed users such as Mega Abomasnow, Pixilate Mega Diancie, Kyurem-B, and Mega Rayquaza can also threaten Mega Diancie, being able to set entry hazards or otherwise support their team when Mega Diancie is forced to switch. However, most revenge killers require pivoting support to not risk Mega Diancie OHKOing them.

**Item Removal**: Although Mega Diancie boasts a resistance to Knock Off, losing Pixie Plate means it fails to seriously threaten most teams. However, Trick or Knock Off users that Mega Diancie does not threaten when boosted are relatively rare.

**Defensive Steel-types**: Defensive Steel-types, like Registeel and to an extent Mega Scizor and Escavalier, can switch into most Mold Breaker Mega Diancie move configurations and, if they have one, force it out with a Steel-type STAB option. However, such checks are vulnerable, either to getting worn down over the course of a game, or to Mega Diancie's teammates taking advantage of them.

**Wonder Guard Blissey and Chansey**: Extremely specially defensive Wonder Guard users in Blissey and Chansey are reliable switch-ins to most Mega Diancie sets, as Judgment does not 2HKO them after Shell Smash. However, they are prone to getting worn down by entry hazards, and taking Spore or Dark Void can let Mega Diancie set up enough to power through them.

**Specially Defensive Toxic Orb Users**: Specially defensive Pokemon running Toxic Orb, in particular Poison Heal Primal Kyogre, are major obstacles to most Mega Diancie sets when healthy and poisoned, as Spore and Dark Void don't affect them. Poison Heal Primal Kyogre can threaten Mega Diancie with Scald and can switch into it with relative ease when healthy. Another Toxic Orb user, Ho-Oh, can threaten Mega Diancie with niche options in Wood Hammer and Thousand Arrows; the former OHKOes with after Shell Smash, while the latter OHKOes boosted Mega Diancie after Stealth Rock. However, it can't do much back to Mega Diancie if lacking either niche move. While fairly reliable against Mega Diancie one-on-one, most Toxic Orb switch-ins are vulnerable to being removed by a Shadow Tag user, meaning if Mega Diancie has Shadow Tag support, they are not reliable switch-ins.

**Plate + Imposter Users**: While relatively rare, opposing Imposter users using a Plate item, in particular Pixie Plate, Iron Plate, or Spooky Plate, can annoy most Mold Breaker Mega Diancie, especially as Plate items are generally unexpected items on Imposter users. However, these Imposter users must win a Speed tie against Mega Diancie, as well as other Mold Breaker sweepers they hope to check, so they are generally suboptimal picks overall.

Mold Breaker Mega Diancie is an amazing sweeper, due to its great Fairy-type STAB and Imposter-proofing in Pixie Plate Judgment, impressive offensive stats, and fairly good Speed. Disruption in Spore or Dark Void is an excellent option for Mega Diancie, as it allows Mega Diancie to disrupt would-be checks, such as specially defensive Wonder Guard Primal Kyogre and to an extent Wonder Guard Blissey. I suppose disruption is ok but I think something along the lines of taking control or advantage or something would be better wording IMO over disruption as the idea is not so much just disruption as it is taking control to start a sweep. Spore is usually preferred because Imposter-proofing by Safety Goggles Prankster Giratina is virtually complete, but Dark Void is also a great option due to bypassing opposing Safety Goggles, which can be useful against occasional Safety Goggles Primal Kyogre. Just keep it to safety goggle users as everything can use safety goggles and saying Kyogre is just weird. Shell Smash is a ridiculous boosting move that significantly bolsters Mega Diancie's offensive prowess in the span of a single turn. Fairy-type Judgment is an exceptionally valuable STAB move to have; not only does it damage opposing foes noticeably harder than Moonblast would, but it also greatly diminishes the pressure that Imposter Chansey imposes on Mega Diancie, allowing it to freely set up with Shell Smash in nearly any matchup. but it also greatly diminishes the pressure that imposter Chansey gives by allowing you to safely switch into your own Giratina which takes little from Steam Eruption. Ok, I changed this because it feels weird or misleading. I kinda read this as you can just set up or stay in on Chansey. and I want to make it very clear to others that you can't/SHOULD not stay in on Chansey and should switch to something that resists steam eruption and normal type judgment. Additionally, it threatens a wide enough portion of the metagame that Mega Diancie can often force progress without relying on Shell Smash boosts. Steam Eruption is amazing coverage that OHKOes Primal Groudon, 2HKOes Ho-Oh after a Shell Smash, and hits defensive Steel-types, like Wonder Guard Mega Scizor, Registeel, and Mega Steelix, significantly harder than Judgment does; it can also burn opposing checks that can threaten Mega Diancie or otherwise hamper its offensive prowess, such as Registeel with Knock Off or Steel-type STAB. Maybe explain or add more to why steam eruption over a fire move to target steels or even a ground move to target steels. either way, I think that should be explained a little more here because steam eruption does indeed do more damage however it's not super effective like ground or fire. also ground hits Groudon so that's also something here. Pixie Plate makes Judgment Fairy-type; Either add this up top or just leave it out completely. Mold Breaker means Mega Diancie ignores Wonder Guard, letting it make use of its great offensive typing to its fullest extent. Seems like fluff and most people should know what Mold does but if u wanna leave it I suppose ok. The given spread allows Mega Diancie to hit as hard as possible while also outspeeding a sizable portion of the metagame. A Modest nature further increases Mega Diancie's power, notably OHKOing opposing Giratina and Mega Latios without bulk investment after Stealth Rock, as well as offensive Arceus after a Shell Smash. Unsure exactly how to word this either but its only a 75% to ohko Giratina after rocks with 252 hp 4 spd and while it's not that great and really rare spd also might exist or some might use it so its not always a good chance to ko.

Mega Diancie fits best on bulky offense and balance teams that can take advantage of its offensive typing and resistance to Imposter Chansey to get and retain momentum, and don't mind Mega Diancie's relatively slow Speed before Shell Smash. Seems like fluff and you already mention imposter Chansey in the first paragraph. Mega Diancie fits well into the metagame's most dominant 3-Pokemon core of Mold Breaker Primal Groudon, Giratina, and Substitute + Baton Pass Wonder Guard Xerneas, while I suppose I can't say its really wrong as it has been the most dominant and successful recently it's hard to call anything the ultimate best in pure hack mons with so much match up and feels weird to say dominant. Maybe I just dislike the word dominant here but otherwise fine. as it threatens Primal Groudon's most prominent switch-in in Giratina, does well in most matchups Primal Groudon and Giratina struggle in, and is an excellent recipient of Substitutes from Xerneas. In return, Primal Groudon can switch into defensive checks like Wonder Guard Blissey as well as provide Stealth Rock support, Giratina can come in on the most notable faster threat in Huge Power Mega Mewtwo X Seems really misleading because a lot of Mewtwo mega X carry play rough or a dark move in a beat-up and knock off. Play rough is the most used move on MMX. This is only sometimes a true statement and ultimately not really reliable to switch Giratina into MMX. , and Xerneas can switch in on -ate users that would otherwise take full advantage of Mega Diancie's need to switch out. As Mega Diancie is quite frail, Substitute + Baton Pass support, from Wonder Guard Xerneas, Mega Swampert, and Magic Bounce Giratina, are is appreciated, even when not used in the aforementioned core. Shadow Tag users, in particular Mega Mewtwo X and Primal Groudon, are good partners, as they can remove most checks to Mega Diancie with Fire-type coverage or STAB Again with not really explaining why Diancie itself can't just run fire/ground coverage.; Mega Mewtwo X also revenge kills Huge Power Mega Gyarados, which can remove Mega Diancie with Water Shuriken should the Mega Diancie user mispredict with pursuit. Pursuit users, in particular Mega Gyarados and Mega Tyranitar, work well with Mega Diancie, as they can heavily damage Pokemon that can remove unboosted Mega Diancie, in particular Shadow Tag Slaking and Regigigas. Finally, slow defensive Wonder Guard users, such as Primal Kyogre, Slaking, Mega Audino, Blissey, and Escavalier work well with Mega Diancie, as they can provide Defog and Aromatherapy support while also acting as slow pivots, helping to get Mega Diancie on the field.

Searing Shot is an option over Spore or Dark Void to allow Mega Diancie to break past would-be checks, such as Registeel perhaps I misunderstood what you meant above but it seemed to be worded that steam eruption allowed you to beat registeel. and two rare checks in Mega Venusaur and Ferrothorn; alternatively Blue Flare can be used to OHKO Registeel after a Shell Smash , but is generally not worth it over Searing Shot due to its accuracy and the fact that most of Mega Diancie's checks are prone to getting worn down by hazards Diamond Storm is an alternative option, KOing Ho-Oh and threatening Wonder Guard Blissey; however, Mega Diancie often cannot do much in matchups against priority revenge killers, in particular, Huge Power Mega Gyarados, and specially defensive Steel-types like Registeel. Earth Power and Precipice Blades are usable over Steam Eruption, with the former threatening Registeel and Mega Steelix and the latter threatening Registeel and Blissey more effectively; however, these options are usually not worth it as they leave Mega Diancie walled by Ho-Oh and forced out by Mega Scizor. King's Shield is another option for the first moveslot, as it provides protection against -ate users, such as Kyurem-B, Mega Diancie, and Mega Abomasnow Huge Power Slaking and Regigigas not running Water Shuriken, and to an extent Shadow Tag Slaking and Regigigas. However, this leaves Mega Diancie vulnerable to getting forced out by healthy Primal Kyogre and Wonder Guard Blissey with Knock Off. Seems really niche to use kings since diancie's bulk isn't that great., Taunt takes care of Primal Kyogre not running a STAB move, Blissey not running Knock Off, and Steel-type check not running Iron Head or Flash Cannon, but is nearly always not worth it over Spore or Dark Void. you explain why this is such a extremely fringe option. you also already beat the most common prankster in giratina most of the time so it seems just really bad in general and even more fringe then kings shield. Moonblast can work over Judgment, as it is still a fairly powerful STAB move and allows Mega Diancie to run useful items like Lum Berry, Focus Sash, and Leftovers, but the loss in power and vulnerability to opposing Imposter users is usually too much to justify running Moonblast over Fairy-type Judgment in the majority of instances. Finally, a Timid nature can be run on Mega Diancie to outspeed Mega Rayquaza without a positive nature, Modest Mega Latios, opposing Mold Breaker Mega Diancie, and Modest Arceus, but the loss in power and the inherent risks taken in staying in on most of these threats means that running Timid Mega Diancie is often not worth it.

Besides Pixilate and Shell Smash Mold Breaker sets, Mega Diancie can opt for two niche options in Choice Specs Mold Breaker and Huge Power. The former takes advantage of Mega Diancie's ability to pose an immediate threat, forcing switches, and often sacks, with a Choice Specs-boosted Moonblast, Steam Eruption, Fire-type coverage (or Trick), and Volt Switch. Huge Power Mega Diancie largely relies on the surprise factor to succeed, disguising itself as Pixilate Mega Diancie until its set is revealed, hopefully achieving a KO against an opposing Wonder Guard user. While these are usable options, they don't come without their weaknesses: Choice Specs Mega Diancie is often too slow to make progress against more offensive teams and can be a pain to Imposter-proof, and Huge Power Mega Diancie is virtually completely inferior to Mega Mewtwo X when the surprise factor is neutralized.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Shadow Tag Users**: Offensive Shadow Tag users, such as Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Mewtwo Y, and Choice Scarf Primal Groudon, threaten unboosted Mega Diancie and can outspeed and OHKO it. Likewise, Shadow Tag revenge killers, in particular Slaking and Regigigas, are dangerous for Mega Diancie, as they commonly run Bullet Punch, necessitating teammates with Substitute + Baton Pass sets if any progress is to be made, especially when the Shadow Tag Slaking or Regigigas user runs pivoting support.

**Revenge Killers**: Due to Mega Diancie being relatively frail, priority revenge killers almost always force boosted Mega Diancie out. In particular Huge Power Mega Gyarados is threatening, as when the Mega Diancie user predicts wrong Mega Diancie can be heavily damaged, or even outright KOed, by Water Shuriken or Pursuit. If the Mega Diancie user fails to predict water shuriken they can be OHKO'd by it and even if they switch they take massive chip damage from pursuit on the switch. -ate users, such as Mega Abomasnow, Mega Diancie, Kyurem-B, and Mega Rayquaza can also threaten Mega Diancie, being able to set hazards or otherwise support their team when Mega Diancie is forced to switch. However, some revenge killers, such as offensive Shadow Tag users, are usually unable to KO a boosted Mega Diancie Move this into the shadow tag section., and most priority revenge killers require pivoting support to not risk getting OHKOed by Mega Diancie's STAB or coverage.

**Item Removal**: Although Mega Diancie boasts a resistance to Knock Off, item removal is nevertheless an issue for it, as without its Plate Mega Diancie fails to pose a serious threat against most teams. In particular Prankster, Giratina running an unconventional option in Trick can catch Mega Diancie off guard and all but eliminate its offensive presence, but it is relatively easy to scout for and usually only hampers Mega Diancie users that play carelessly.I would try to use other trick users as examples as Giratina using trick is usually rare. but tbf trick is rare in general.

**Defensive Steel-types**: Defensive Steel-types, like Registeel and to an extent Mega Scizor and Escavalier, can switch into most Mold Breaker Mega Diancie sets and force it out with a possible Steel-type STAB option. However, such options are prone to getting get worn down over the course of a game or getting taken advantage of by Mega Diancie's teammates.

**Wonder Guard Blissey and Chansey**: Extremely specially defensive Wonder Guard users in Blissey and Chansey are reliable switch-ins to most Mega Diancie sets, as they are not 2HKOed by Mega Diancie's Judgment. However, they are prone to getting get worn down by hazards, or powered through with Shell Smash boosts accumulated during sleep turns gained from using Spore or Dark Void.

**Magic Guard Ho-Oh**: While Ho-Oh dislikes taking a boosted Steam Eruption, it can run niche options in Wood Hammer or Thousand Arrows to OHKO Mega Diancie after it uses Shell Smash; it is unique in that Mega Diancie cannot put it to sleep with Spore or Dark Void. However, if Ho-Oh is chipped slightly it can potentially be put in KO range, though risking a roll may prove disastrous for the Mega Diancie user. WOOD HAMMER!

**Plate Imposter Users**: While relatively rare, opposing Imposter users using a Plate, in particular, Pixie Plate or Spooky Plate, can annoy most Mold Breaker Mega Diancie, especially as Plates are generally unexpected items on Imposter users. However, Plate Imposter users must win a Speed tie against Mega Diancie as well as other Mold Breaker sweepers, so they are generally suboptimal picks overall.

**Specially Defensive Toxic Orb Users**: Specially defensive Pokemon running Toxic Orb, in particular Poison Heal Primal Kyogre, are major obstacles to most Mega Diancie sets when healthy and poisoned, due to not being affected Spore and Dark Void. Poison Heal Primal Kyogre can threaten Mega Diancie with Scald, and can switch into it with relative ease when healthy. Another Toxic Orb user, Ho-Oh, can threaten Mega Diancie with niche options in Wood Hammer or Thousand Arrows, to OHKO it if Mega Diancie is boosted; however, it can't do much back to Mega Diancie if not running an attack that targets it. While fairly reliable against Mega Diancie in a 1v1 situation, most Toxic Orb switch-ins are vulnerable to being removed by a Shadow Tag user, meaning if Mega Diancie has Shadow Tag support they are not reliable switch-ins.

**Plate Imposter Users**: While relatively rare, opposing Imposter users using a Plate, in particular Pixie Plate, Iron Plate, (this was occasionally a thing for Xerneas too) or Spooky Plate, can annoy most Mold Breaker Mega Diancie, especially as Plates are generally unexpected items on Imposter users. However, Plate Imposter users must win a Speed tie against Mega Diancie as well as other Mold Breaker sweepers, so they are generally suboptimal picks overall.

I've read through this analysis multiple times only to find barely any changes to make. I've changed a few things to remove possible fluff or add in slightly more detail added Iron Plate as an opposing Plate Imposter User threat. This analysis is great and covers up the best of Mega Diancie in clear enough detail for anyone to easily use it. Nice job.

[SET COMMENTS]
Mold Breaker Mega Diancie is an amazing sweeper, due to its great Fairy-type STAB and Imposter-proofing in sweeper. It has a great STAB move that helps Imposter-proof it in Pixie Plate Judgment, impressive offensive stats, and fairly good Speed. Spore or Dark Void are excellent options for Mega Diancie, as they allow Mega Diancie to gain free turns to setup and Dark Void are excellent options to gain free setup turns against would-be checks, such as specially defensive Wonder Guard Primal Kyogre and Blissey. Spore is usually preferred because Imposter-proofing by Safety Goggles Prankster Giratina is virtually complete, but it means one teammate, Safety Goggles + Prankster Giratina, is enough to almost perfectly Imposter-proof Mega Diancie. However, Dark Void is also a great option due to bypassing opposing Safety Goggles users. Shell Smash is a ridiculous boosting move that significantly bolsters Mega Diancie's offensive prowess in the span of immensely bolsters Mega Diancie's offensive prowess in a single turn. Fairy-type Judgment is an exceptionally valuable STAB move to have; not only does it damage opposing foes noticeably harder than Moonblast would, is it noticeably stronger than Moonblast, but it also greatly diminishes the pressure that Imposter Chansey imposes on Mega Diancie due to Diancie, letting Giratina and specially defensive Primal Kyogre Imposter-proofing it extremely well, allowing well. This reduced pressure allows it to freely (should this be or include "safely"? up to you) set up with Shell Smash in nearly any matchup. Additionally, it Judgment threatens a wide enough portion of the metagame that Mega Diancie can often force progress without relying on Shell Smash boosts. Steam Eruption is an amazing coverage option that OHKOes Primal Groudon, 2HKOes Ho-Oh after a Shell Smash, and hits defensive Steel-types, like Wonder Guard Mega Scizor, Mega Steelix, and to an extent Registeel; while Registeel. Although some Steel-types, like Registeel running Knock Off, can stand up to a boosted Steam Eruption and threaten Mega Diancie's wallbreaking power, Mega Diancie can annoy them by burning them over the course of the game. Mold Breaker allows Mega Diancie to ignore Wonder Guard, letting it make maximum use of its great offensive typing to its fullest extent. The given spread allows Mega Diancie to hit as hard as possible while also outspeeding a sizable portion of the metagame. typing. A Modest nature further increases Mega Diancie's power, notably OHKOing Mega Latios without bulk investment with it notably OHKOing uninvested Mega Latios after Stealth Rock as well as and offensive Arceus after a Shell Smash. 252 Speed EVs, even without Timid, are enough to outspeed a sizable portion of the metagame. (I imagine this works?)

Mega Diancie fits best on bulky offense and balance teams that can take advantage of its offensive typing and resistance to Imposter Chansey to get and retain momentum, and don't mind momentum. They must also tolerate Mega Diancie's mediocre Speed for a frail Shell Smash sweeper. Mega Diancie fits well into the metagame's most dominant 3-Pokemon core of Mold Breaker Primal Groudon, Giratina, and Substitute + Baton Pass Wonder Guard Xerneas, as Xerneas; it threatens Primal Groudon's most prominent switch-in in Giratina, broadly does well in most matchups Primal Groudon and Giratina struggle in, and is an excellent recipient of Substitutes from Xerneas. In return, Primal Groudon can switch into its defensive checks like Wonder Guard Blissey as well as and provide Stealth Rock support, Giratina can come in on Choice Band Mega Rayquaza and Choice Scarf Primal Groudon, and Xerneas can switch in on -ate Speed (I imagine?) users that would otherwise take full advantage of Mega Diancie's need to switch out. As Mega Diancie is quite frail, Substitute + Baton Pass support (RC) from Baton Pass users like Wonder Guard Xerneas, Mega Swampert, and Magic Bounce Giratina (RC) is appreciated, even when Mega Diancie is not used in the aforementioned core. Shadow Tag users, in particular Mega Mewtwo X and Primal Groudon, are good partners, as they can remove most checks to Mega Diancie with Fire-type coverage or STAB; STAB moves. Mega Mewtwo X also revenge kills Huge Power Mega Gyarados, which can remove Mega Diancie with Water Shuriken should the Mega Diancie user mispredict and stay in on Water Shuriken or switch out on Pursuit when force Mega Diancie out with Water Shuriken—or force a coinflip scenario with Water Shuriken and Pursuit when Mega Diancie is (I imagine this makes sense?) weakened. Pursuit users, in particular Mega Gyarados and Mega Tyranitar, work well with Mega Diancie, as they can heavily damage Pokemon that can remove unboosted Mega Diancie, it before Shell Smash, in particular Shadow Tag Slaking and Regigigas. Finally, slow defensive Wonder Guard users, such as Primal Kyogre, Slaking, Mega Audino, Blissey, and Escavalier work well with Mega Diancie, as they Escavalier, can provide Defog and Aromatherapy support while also acting as slow pivots, helping to get Mega Diancie on the field.

Other Options
=============

Searing Shot is an option over Spore or Dark Void to allow Mega Diancie to break past would-be checks, such as Registeel and two rare checks in the rare Mega Venusaur and Ferrothorn; alternatively, (AC) Blue Flare can be used to OHKO Registeel after a Shell Smash, but is generally not worth it over Searing Shot Searing Shot is usually better due to its accuracy and the fact that most of Mega Diancie's checks are prone to getting worn down by hazards. However, running Fire-type coverage getting worn down often by entry hazards. Further, lacking a sleep move leaves Mega Diancie vulnerable against offensive teams. Either Fire-type move can also be run (I imagine this makes sense?) over Steam Eruption, but this leaves Mega Diancie vulnerable against Primal Groudon running Lum Berry, and running a 3-attack set leaves Mega Diancie vulnerable against offensive teams. Diamond Storm is an alternative option, KOing KOes Ho-Oh and threatening threatens Wonder Guard Blissey, but has the same issue as like Fire-type coverage, it is hard to fit. (I imagine?) Earth Power and Precipice Blades are usable over Steam Eruption, with the former threatening Registeel and Mega Steelix and the latter better threatening Registeel and Blissey more effectively; however, these options are usually not worth it Blissey; however, usually neither is worth it, as they leave Mega Diancie walled by Ho-Oh and forced out by Mega Scizor. King's Shield is another option for the first moveslot, as it provides protection against many Pokemon: -ate Speed (I imagine?) users (RC) such as Kyurem-B, opposing Pixilate Mega Diancie, and Mega Abomasnow, Huge Power Slaking and Regigigas not running Water Shuriken, and to an extent Shadow Tag Slaking and Regigigas. However, this leaves Mega Diancie vulnerable to getting lacking a sleep move leaves Mega Diancie (or like "risks Mega Diancie getting forced") forced out by healthy Primal Kyogre and Wonder Guard Blissey with Knock Off, and King's Shield does not help if Mega Diancie is already weakened. Moonblast can work over Judgment, as it is still a fairly powerful STAB move and allows Mega Diancie to run useful items like Lum Berry, Focus Sash, and Leftovers, but the loss in power and vulnerability to opposing Imposter users is usually too much to justify running Moonblast over Fairy-type Judgment in the majority of instances. it. Finally, a Timid nature can be run on Mega Diancie to outspeed Adamant or Modest Mega Rayquaza, Modest Mega Latios, opposing Mold Breaker Mega Diancie, and Modest Arceus, but the loss in power and the inherent risks taken in staying in on most of these threats means that running Timid Mega Diancie power—and the inherent risks in staying in on most of these threats—means Timid is often not worth it.

Besides Pixilate and Shell Smash Mold Breaker sets, Mega Diancie can opt for two niche options in Choice Specs Pixilate lets Mega Diancie use Fake Out, Extreme Speed, and Boomburst for powerful revenge killing and wallbreaking. Two other niche options are Choice Specs + (you never rly gave overview of pixilate. feel free to change and/or expand the one i gave ofc) Mold Breaker and Huge Power. The former takes advantage of Mega Diancie's ability to pose an immediate threat, forcing switches, and often sacks, with a Choice Specs-boosted Moonblast, Steam Eruption, Fire-type coverage (or Trick), and Volt Switch. Huge Power Mega Diancie largely relies on the surprise factor to succeed, disguising itself as Pixilate Mega Diancie until its set is revealed, hopefully achieving a KO against factor, disguising itself as Pixilate Mega Diancie until it hopefully KOes an opposing Wonder Guard user. While these are usable options, they don't come without their weaknesses: Choice Specs Mega Diancie is often too slow to make progress against more offensive teams and can be a pain to Imposter-proof, and Huge Power Mega Diancie is virtually completely inferior to Mega Mewtwo X when the surprise factor is neutralized. is revealed.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Shadow Tag Users**: Offensive Shadow Tag users, such as Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Mewtwo Y, and Choice Scarf Primal Groudon, threaten unboosted Mega Diancie and can outspeed and OHKO it. Mega Diancie. Likewise, Shadow Tag revenge killers, in particular Slaking and Regigigas, are dangerous for Mega Diancie, as they commonly run can OHKO it with the common Bullet Punch, necessitating teammates with Substitute + Baton Pass sets if any progress is to be made, Punch. This necessitates Mega Diancie having teammates with Substitute + Baton Pass to make any progress, especially when the Shadow Tag Slaking or Regigigas user runs pivoting support. However, offensive Shadow Tag users not running priority are usually unable to without priority usually can't threaten a boosted Mega Diancie.

**Revenge Killers**: Due to Mega Diancie it being relatively frail, priority revenge killers almost always force boosted Mega Diancie out. In particular, (AC) Huge Power Mega Gyarados is threatening, as if the Mega Diancie user predicts wrong against Pursuit it is heavily damaged, and Water Shuriken outright OHKOes it. -ate outright OHKOes it with Water Shuriken, and Mega Diancie switching out can let Pursuit KO if it is heavily damaged. -Ate Speed (I imagine "Speed"?) users (RC) such as Mega Abomasnow, Pixilate Mega Diancie, Kyurem-B, and Mega Rayquaza can also threaten Mega Diancie, being able to set entry hazards or otherwise support their team when Mega Diancie is forced to switch. However, most revenge killers require pivoting support to not risk getting OHKOed by Mega Diancie's STAB or coverage. Mega Diancie OHKOing them.

**Item Removal**: Although Mega Diancie boasts a resistance to Knock Off, item removal is nevertheless an issue for it, as without its Plate Mega Diancie fails to pose a serious threat against losing Pixie Plate means it fails to seriously threaten most teams. However, Trick or Knock Off users that Mega Diancie does not threaten when boosted are relatively rare.

**Defensive Steel-types**: Defensive Steel-types, like Registeel and to an extent Mega Scizor and Escavalier, can switch into most Mold Breaker Mega Diancie sets and Mega Diancie move configurations and, if they have one, (I imagine this makes sense?) force it out with a possible Steel-type STAB option. However, such options checks are prone vulnerable, either to getting worn down over the course of a game, or getting taken advantage of by Mega Diancie's teammates. to Mega Diancie's teammates taking advantage of them.

**Wonder Guard Blissey and Chansey**: Extremely specially defensive Wonder Guard users in Blissey and Chansey are reliable switch-ins to most Mega Diancie sets, as they are not 2HKOed by Mega Diancie's Judgment. Judgment does not 2HKO them. However, they are prone to getting worn down by entry hazards, or powered through with Shell Smash boosts accumulated during sleep turns gained from using Spore or Dark Void. and taking Spore or Dark Void can let Mega Diancie set up enough to power through them.

**Specially Defensive Toxic Orb Users**: Specially defensive Pokemon running Toxic Orb, in particular Poison Heal Primal Kyogre, are major obstacles to most Mega Diancie sets when healthy and poisoned, due to not being affected as Spore and Dark Void don't affect them. Poison Heal Primal Kyogre can threaten Mega Diancie with Scald (RC) and can switch into it with relative ease when healthy. Another Toxic Orb user, Ho-Oh, can threaten Mega Diancie with niche options in Wood Hammer or Thousand Arrows, to OHKO it and Thousand Arrows, which OHKO if Mega Diancie is boosted; however, it can't do much back to Mega Diancie if not running an attack that targets it. lacking either niche move. (I imagine?) While fairly reliable against Mega Diancie in a 1v1 situation, one-on-one, most Toxic Orb switch-ins are vulnerable to being removed by a Shadow Tag user, meaning if Mega Diancie has Shadow Tag support, (AC) they are not reliable switch-ins.

**Plate + (visibility notice?) Imposter Users**: While relatively rare, opposing Imposter users using a Plate item, in particular Pixie Plate, Iron Plate, or Spooky Plate, can annoy most Mold Breaker Mega Diancie, especially as Plates Plate items are generally unexpected items on Imposter users. However, Plate these Imposter users must win a Speed tie against Mega Diancie, (AC) as well as other Mold Breaker sweepers they hope to check, (I imagine?) so they are generally suboptimal picks overall.
