Rules
This is a Generation 8 Random Battle tournament. Matches in the first rounds are Best-of-Three (first to two (2) wins), changing to Best-of-Five from quarterfinals onwards). We strongly recommend familiarizing yourself with the Smogon Tournament Rules and General Guidelines. We recommend games are played on the main Pokemon Showdown server. Smogtours is allowed, but if players can’t agree on a server, main is the default option.


Please note:
1. All scheduling attempts MUST be done publicly on Smogon Walls. No other proof of communication will count for act calls regarding scheduling attempts.
2. You MUST post replays of your win

Frequently Asked Questions
It’s simple:
1. Contact your opponent on their Smogon wall and decide on a time to battle.
2. Battle each other in the format “[Gen 8] Random Battle”. Make sure to upload your replays between games.
3. The first player to 2 wins is the winner! Post in the thread with the replays of your games, and you’ll be awarded the win.


Winning a round in this tournament means gaining points equal to your current number of wins (so your 1st win is worth 1 point, 2nd win is worth 2 points, etc). This means, for every round you win, the points will be as follows: 1, 3, 6, 10, 15, 21, 28, 36, 45.


The winner of the Gen 8 Random Battles Open will receive the Room Prize Winner rank and a joinphrase in the Random Battles room for a month, be inducted into the Randbats Hall of Fame, and be awarded points for the Random Battle Circuit V. The winner of the Playoff Round for the circuit will get a Smogon banner for a full year and their choice of either a custom avatar, a color change, or a disabled name on PS, along with a year-long Room Prize Winner rank and joinphrase.

Well, I usually want to confirm that my opponent agreed to a time when I offer one. I could not see it though cause as you can see on the screen, I had no access to smogon at all and I also got no messages on showdown as well. So I was thinking that my suggested time was off the table
 
John Dozo Irpachuza satvik123 Mathy Don't wanna be annoying but just wanna know if you already decided on a decision for the matter. I want to make my point clear with 5 points.

1) Getting Acted on Tuesday is unacceptable, especially if you say that you are free later in the week as well
2) I could not log into Smogon, so I did not know if we had scheduled for a time or not
3) We are into the later stages of a tournament, usually extensions are granted when such stuff happens
4) (kind of goes in hand with 1 and 2) Since I could not log into Smogon and they said that playing later in the week is fine, I thought it was not a big Deal. We also never really scheduled for an exact time. I had Showdown open in the background at the "scheduled" time but I probably dc'd which is why I did not see a DM on Showdown and hence yes, I was not online at that time. But because of all the reasons above and what I got told by my opponent, I thought it was fine to wait until I can log into Smogon again.
5) According to our conversation there never was a scheduled time to begin with according to scheduling rules
