Gen. Empoleon vs. Bologo: The best I have written

I really wish I was having a better night though, I made some obvious mistakes that I wouldn't normally make. However, I was losing so much yesterday that I started spazzing.
I know what you mean; I got up to 1564 last friday on the ladder, finally somewhat close to getting into the top 50 on the ladder, when suddenly on saturday I began losing game after game, dropping 30 points all the way to 1534.
Sometimes I tend to not think much; just today while playing, I criticized myself for a stupid mistake (switching scizor out against a heatran when stealth rocks was out and scizor was at 7%; the result was that the incoming salamence fainted due to taking the fireblast at 60-25% health-a waste of an otherwise good mence), afterwhich I made another terrible blunder of bringing in the scizor just to get it out of the way before sending in my gyarados; what followed is that the scarftran switched out, and came back in to explode-something I could have predicted, and then brought out something to die on instead of the gyarados which was crucial to winning, had the scizor not been stupidly sacraficed for no reason.
Two simple, common sense, mistakes both resulting in a sure loss (I think I could have won otherwise, but who knows). Stupid blunders.

I'm glad this war story wasn't plagued by anything like this-that you had a brake from that for this game. It is somewhat sad when it occurs.

Gen. Empoleon, I enjoyed both games I played against you today-both the one I lost, as well as (more obviously) that which I won. I'm paramylodon, if you can remember people based on names (I should really create a new smogon account under that name); it was after our second game that you told me to check out your war story versus bologo.
I think one reason in this lies in your team; it appears somewhat offensive, or, at least, lacking in annoying defensive, stallish (recovery moves), pokemon that may bog games down and lower the excitement. In that regard it is much like my team, even if we do meat this end through different means.
I always enjoy a good offensive team.

Bologo, while I may not enjoy your team's ideology as much as Gen. Empoleon, I do enjoy the fact that you're making good use of Rhyperior and, even more so, Lanturn, simply because these are pokemon not seen all to commonly.

Oh Yeah! I remember you. I won the first time due to h4x though. I normally don't really "try" on matches till late at night, so you were the far better played between you and I earlier today.

I've kind of had a run in with the fact Snorlax walls me since I lack a very strong physical sweeper. Well any way, thanks for the really good reviews guys :D

Both my gyarados and salamence's stone edge's missing against your gyarados, as well as the flinch then crit from your tyranitar against my swampert were fun.
Not all that bad though; I don't remember to much other then being a little annoyed, but I'm sure I had my luck as well.

What do you mean by not really trying? Not being fully focused, or only half-assed messing around? If it's the first I'm almost always the same as you (I regularly play two or more games at once), while my equivalent with the second would only be when I'm simply playing bad like I mentioned in my earlier post.

If I remember correctly you explosioned my snorlax the second game, so it didn't give you many problems there.

Well any way, thanks for the really good reviews guys :D

I haven't read very many warstories, so I don't have much of a basis for comparison, so it might not mean that much, but I thought it was really entertaining.:justin:
