Discussion phase for the winners (and what would be needed) will last for 24 hours. If no significant discussion is made, the next slate will come sooner.
I kind of forgot for a hot sec that I did reviews for these lol
Crayoct - First impressions made it look op with the good SpAtk and Speed stats combined with nplot, but I think the Protean nerf, the color form gimmick letting you know what coverage Crayoct is running, and meager defenses will make it manageable.
Desvegan Venipede line - Looks to be a better Scolipede (barring any baton pass bs), with a better dual bug type both offensively and defensively, basically every good physical Water move, and still having Swords Dance + Speed Boost.
Bibarricade - Bro really said "What if Bibarel but good stats" looks p strong
Fishtol line - Not much to say here, Blunderbass is just a solid bulky attacker that can choose between regen or Octazooka being a nuke.
Teeniweed line - Grass Rock Grass Rock!!! Kelplossus looks like a p good physical tank, Razor Shell and Body Press are fun coverage options. Grassy Surge was a little cringe at first but this guy at least isn't relying on it for recovery and it has STAB Grassy Glide for a Rillaboom-type beat, plus it's not the only ability worth running: the free +2 from Stone House can be viable on non-hdb or funny Body Press sets.
Desvegan Cramorant line - Decent mon. I'm not sure how much Aqua Ballet will be run because the movepool and stats lend it to more of a defensive role, but it is special DDance so we'll have to see, and with moves like Scald, Toxic/Tspikes, Defog, and STAB Flip Turn, those defensive sets will for sure be viable. Gorging form applying poison instead of paralysis is more fair competitively compared to base Cramorant, but honestly that might hinder more than help if Toxirant wants to Toxic the opponent.
Salmini line - idk man this is the last review I'm writing and Salmomega is the water-type attacker of all time, what else is there to say
Neutrass line - Really close to being good options, but these stats are just not it. Putasstanical and Wrassthful were described as utility mons that can become decent attackers through Tidy Up's speed boost, which is genuinely a good concept, but with no attacking stats that peak 100 and zero ways of boosting it further, sorry but their asses are NOT doing damage. Outside of that though, I think their good typing, access to Flip Turn and the aforementioned Tidy Up, and good STAB options (especially Wrassthful, that guy got like every good dark move lol), will put them at least at the cusp of viability, definitely far from 'Purass'... I'll see myself out
Aleviar line - Ok ok I still have one more mon to review. Cuttrout seems kind of mid but at least functional - its stats aren't too great for what it wants to do, but I can see Automize + LO mixed sets being successful. Fillet Away is... an option, undeniably, but if it wasn't for all the resistances it gets for being Water/Steel the health sacrifice would be far too risky to ever be worth.
Most generations introduces fossils that will bring back prehistoric Pokémon to life through the power of science. As such, these assorted formerlly extinct Pokémon are seldom used, only used by scientists, Rock-type Gym Leaders / Elite Four and Champion in most games. Because of their low starting level, most Fossil Pokémon takes a while to catch up with the player’s party.
Here’s the rules (Be sure to read these, as this slate has some specific rules this time)
- You may sub a set of Fossil Pokémon that includes 1-4 evolutionary lines. These Pokemon can either be 1-stage (ex: Aerodactyl) or 2-stage (ex: Anorith -> Armaldo) evolutinary lines; they can be subbed as counterparts as well.
- The recommanded BST range of the final evolution of the Fossil Pokémon lines is between 495 and 515. You may go higher or lower with a reasonable flavor and competitive justification, like Archeops having 567 BST because it's designed around Defeatist and the Brazdan Fossils having 460 BST due to having an out of battle form change with 510 BST. Note that every fossil Pokémon that evolves from something has 495 BST, the Galar Fossils have 505 BST, and Aerodactyl has 515 BST.
- The vast majority of Fossil Pokémon have Rock as their primary typing. Because of the Galar Fossils, this is not a requirement, but it's highly recommended unless you have a good flavor reason to not do this.
- You can sub regional forms for this slate, whether it's a regional form of a Fossil Pokémon or non-Fossil Pokémon, it just has to be revived from a fossil. If it is a non-Fossil Pokémon, it can be called a “Prehistoric” or similarly named forms instead, similarly to Loria’s Prehistoric Throh and Prehistoric Sawk lines; but again, it must be revived from a Fossil.
As usual, the submission slate lasts for about six days. The voting phase will go for the “order matters” version as well, with only the first place entering the PokéDex.
Name: Pupture (Pup + Rupture) Fossil: Fossilised Paw Counterpart: Drosloth Type: Rock/Dark Ability: Technician / Padded Paw* Base Stats: 50 / 80 / 55 / 45 / 55 / 75 (360) Height+ Weight: 1m + 13.8kg Flavour/Design: Ancestors of the Rockruff line as well as Brazdo's Alumane line, Pupture are usually born within large families, where they competed with each other to earn the right to lead hunts; those who have led a successful hunt are released from the pack to find a mate and become Rendire.
(OHKO a Pokemon with a critical hit while knowing Tar Shot) Name: Rendire (Rend + Dire Wolf) Counterpart: Naphtherium Type: Rock/Dark Ability: Tough Claws / Padded Paw* Base Stats: 85/125/75/50/75/110 (515) Notable Moves: Accelerock, Smack Down, Stone Edge, Head Smash, Pursuit, Knock Off, Sucker Punch, Merciless Rend*, Flame Charge, Fire Punch, Earthquake, Drain Punch, Upper Hand*, Superpower, Shadow Claw, Drain Fang, Bush Claws, Play Rough, Poison Jab, Dire Claw, Thunder Punch, Shock Tail, Super Fang, Ancient Power, Meteor Beam, Snarl, Dark Pulse, Overheat, Earth Power, Shadow Ball, Sludge Bomb, Volt Switch, Hyper Voice, Surf, Stealth Rock, Sandstorm, Tar Shot*, Taunt, Swords Dance, Bulk Up. Height + Weight: 2.2m + 37.5kg Flavour/Design: Based on the dire wolf, the most frequent large mammal found within the infamous La Brea Tar Pits of California and the main competitor of California's state fossil, the Sabre-tooth tiger (I decided against an actual sabre-tooth to avoid overlap with Pumentum, in terms of both species & type). Specialised hunters who take advantage of their ability to navigate in any environment when their prey cannot, Rendire operated in pairs, capable of taking down prey such as Desvegan Mamoswine, though this efficiency is hindered in the modern day, where they have to compete against so many different predators such as Pumentum. *Padded Paw(Desvega): If a Pokémon with this Ability uses a damaging move or is targeted by a damaging move, the effects of the environment are ignored during execution as well as damage and accuracy calculation. (If you need to be specific, it treats the battlefield as the same as it would be on turn 0.) *Tar Shot(Galar): Rock | Status | 100% | 15PP | Reflectable | Lower's the target(s) evasion by one stage. Fire-type moves used on the target(s) will double in effectiveness as well as always burn them. *Upper Hand(Paldea): Fighting | Physical | 80BP | 100% | 5PP | Contact | If the target is about to use a move with increased priority, the user will strike first and always make the target to flinch, unless the target is immune to flinching; otherwise, Upper Hand will fail. Has +3 priority. [As of writing, Upper Hand has only just been announced; I've elected to use Sucker Punch as a basis to fill in the numbers for the time being.] | Tyrogue line, Johtonian Sneasel line, Makuhita line, Spinda, Croagunk line, Scraggy line, Litleo line (Kalosian + Lorian), Pancham line, Incineroar, Grimmsnarl, Rendire. *Merciless Rend(Loria): Dark | Physical | 85BP | 95% | 10PP | Contact, Biting | The target is trapped for four to five turns, taking damage equal to 1/8 of their maximum HP at the end of each turn.
Name: Drosloth (Dross + Sloth) Fossil: Fossilised Grime Counterpart: Pupture Type: Rock/Poison Ability: Gooey / Earth Eater Base Stats: 70/65/65/45/55/60 (360) Height + Weight: 1.1m + 30.5kg Flavour/Design: Based on crude oil and ground sloths. Ancestors to the Slakoth line as well as Brazdo's Levipilosa, Drosloth appear to be much more active than their descendants, but as a consequence of the revival process have are clearly unused to the tar oozing out from their bodies, which hinders their prowess more than anything. On the bright side, no one likes the taste of tar, so Drosloth has few voluntary predators in the modern day.
(Survive a critical hit in a single battle while knowing Tar Shot) Name: Naphtherium (Naphtha + Megatherium) Counterpart: Rendire Type: Rock/Poison Ability: Poison Surge / Earth Eater Base Stats: 125/50/120/100/95/25 (515) Notable Moves: Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Oil Slick, Toxic Shock, Poison Jab, Gunk Shot, Drain Punch, Body Press, Superpower, Knock Off, Darkest Lariat, Earthquake, Shadow Claw, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Wild Charge, Waterfall, Super Fang, Ancient Power, Meteor Beam, Venoshock, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Focus Blast, Earth Power, Hex, Shadow Ball, Flamethrower, Heat Wave, Fire Blast, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Surf, Hyper Voice, Stealth Rock, Tar Shot, Acid Armour, Toxic, Venom Drench, Poison Terrain, Slack Off, Bulk Up, Calm Mind, Gravity, Trick Room. Height + Weight: 4.0m + 261 kg Flavour/Design: Based on the megatherium, one of the species that is found within the infamous La Brea Tar Pits of California. Naptherium, having given up on regaining their mobility, now resign to depressingly loaf around within the tar pits their former selves had once perished in, leaving occasionally to pull down entire trees to strip them apart for a snack; when disturbed, however, they're able to scrape off tar off their bodies and pelt them with lethal accuracy at the offender. *Tar Shot(Galar): Rock | Status | 100% | 15PP | Reflectable | Lower's the target(s) evasion by one stage. Fire-type moves used on the target(s) will double in effectiveness as well as burn them.
A request to everyone who has a winning sub but hasn't submitted a movepool to do so, as well fill in other details such as height(less important) and weight(more important because it has slight competitive value for moves like Heat Crash and Grass Knot) if you haven't already. Be sure to also check the Desvega spreadsheet posted in the OP if you're not sure what moves can be learnt via TM or Tutors.

The Sharp Nose Pokémon A Pokemon that lived 200 million years ago, resurrected from its fossilized, bladed snout. It used this weapon to slash and stab at prey.
Despite its fish-like appearance, it is actually an aquatic reptile. It has a friendly nature, but its pointy nose is not to be underestimated.
Name Origin: Gladius + Ichthyosaurus Counterpart: Detriptile Type: Rock/Water Abilities: Sharpness (HA Rain Dish) Stats: 60 HP/60 ATK/60 DEF/45 SP ATK/45 SP DEF/90 SPD = 300 Level-Up Moves: Quick Attack (1), Aqua Jet (1), Ancient Power (6), Water Pulse (10), Aqua Cutter (15), Slash (19), Smack Down (24), Agility (28), Flint Cutter* (33), Liquidation (37), X-Scissor (42), Swords Dance (46)
Name: Flint Cutter Type:
Category:
BasePoints: 60 Power Points: 40 Accuracy: 95 Miscellaneous: Makes contact, boosted by Sharpness Effect: Deals damage with an increased critical hit ratio (Air Cutter clone) Distribution: Near universal among Rock-types
Notable TMs: All fully universal TM/Tutor moves + Work Up, Roar, Hail, Bulk Up, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Rain Dance, Safeguard, Smack Down, Earthquake, Sandstorm, Rock Tomb, Aerial Ace, Low Sweep, False Swipe, Scald, Stealth Rock, Quash, Acrobatics, Earth Power, Zen Headbutt, Stone Edge, Iron Head, Swords Dance, Bulldoze, Rock Slide, Megahorn, Dragon Tail, U-turn, Surf, Nature Power, Waterfall, Dazzling Gleam, After You, Body Press, Bounce, Breaking Swipe, Dig, Double-Edge, Head Smash, Hydro Pump, Hyper Voice, Icy Wind, Knock Off, Meteor Beam, Outrage, Power Gem, Revenge, Super Fang, Superpower, Water Pulse Notable Egg Moves: Flip Turn from Finizen; Razor Shell from Drednaw; Wave Crash from Finizen or Dondozo (Monster and Water 2)
Flavor/Design:
A cute baby reptilian fish-mimic, this little skrunkly is 4 feet long, 150 pounds in weight, and looks like a bizarre cross between a swordfish and some long-snouted lizard, with overall proportions akin to Finizen. It has a torpedo-like shape, a tall dorsal fin on its back, and a vertical, crescent-shaped tail fin rather than a horizontal one. It is countershaded in your typical sea-creature fashion, with a sea-green topside and an underbelly, tail fin, and a pattern of spots on its sides that are all pastel green in hue; the shiny instead has steel gray and white in these respective areas. Its four teardrop-shaped flippers are positioned where a lizard's limbs would be, the front pair being twice as big as the back pair; the front flippers also have two rocky bluish-black spikes on the back edge like the claws on a seal's flipper. Its head is its most prominent feature, with large, adorable red eyes and a long snout with several sharp teeth in its mouth; there are also two small, slitted nostrils are just in front of its eyes. Most notable is the narrow, bluish-black, rocky plate upon the flattened top of its rather rowboat-prow-shaped head, which extends down the top of the upper jaw and somewhat beyond, forming a vertically flattened, knife-like blade; two shorter, similarly flattened rocky spikes jut out on either side of the headplate at the base of the snoot, invoking the hilt of a sword when seen from above. This is what it uses to slash and stab at prey and enemies alike, though it has an easygoing and friendly demeanor most of the time.
Gameplay Info:
Gladichthus is primarily a fast physical attacker, its decent attack power being boosted by Sharpness which means its main STAB moves, Aqua Cutter and Stone Edge, are solid attacking options, although with a boosted Flip Turn it can also be used as a skirmisher on Rain teams. It has decent HP and physical defense as well, but its special attack and defense are lacking, and Rock/Water having a double-weakness to Grass and weaknesses to Electric and Ground as well can spell bad news without the right team support.
Evolves at Level 35 into...
The Razor-Nose Pokémon This enormous marine predator ruled the ancient seas using its long upper jaw, which was lined with razor-sharp fangs. It could cleave a seamount in half with a single swipe.
Because of its massive size, it had trouble chasing after prey. Instead, it would wait for a victim to come within reach, and then rush forward to brutalize it with its saw-like snout.
Name Origin: Shonisaurus + Saw + Sword Counterpart: Pernoxious Type: Rock/Water Abilities: Sharpness (HA Rain Dish) Stats: 120 HP/90 ATK/90 DEF/75 SP ATK/75 SP DEF/60 SPD = 510 Level-Up Moves: Same as Gladicthus, but with added starting moves Aqua Tail, Stealth Rock, and Stone Axe, and added moves Night Slash (51), Stone Edge* (55), and Heavy Slam (60). Notable TMs: Same as Gladicthus.
Flavor/Design:
Now as big as a Steelix, reaching a whopping 30 feet long and tipping the scales at around 860 pounds, this leviathan of the ancient seas now looks more like a giant shark than a dolphin. Now with a dark blue-green back and the same pastel green belly and tail fin color as its preevo (respectively a very dark blue-gray and white in the shiny), it still has four flippers with rocky spikes like claws, but their shape is more like the pectoral fins of a shark, and there are now three spikes per front flipper, and two per back flipper (i.e. all four have spikes now). The tall, slightly recurved dorsal fin has three short spikes on the front edge, and can thus be used as a sawblade; a smaller, unadorned dorsal fin sits on the back at the base of the tail. The tail fin itself is still crescent-shaped, but has a pointed fleshy lobe in its middle to invoke the shape of a trident. As for the head, it is still flat-topped but now has more robust but still long, toothy jaws like a mix of shark and crocodile, and smaller and fiercer-looking crimson eyes shaded by the larger, broader rocky head plate, which is still sword-shaped when seen from above, but now with a massive, broad "blade" like a claymore. Along the otherwise blunt edges of the blade are two rows of vicious, bladed teeth shaped like flint arrowheads with a gray color and a lustrous sheen, with the very tip sporting such a tooth in the middle as the ending point. In fact, the whole "point" of this fearsome weapon was that it dispatched prey with it like some colossal sawfish, using sideways swings of its head coupled with short bursts of speed to shred sea beasts as big as itself to ribbons. It would also turn that same armament upon others of its kind over territory, as indicated by numerous scars and slash marks instead of spots on its back and sides, though they are still the same light color as its belly.
Gameplay Info:
Sacrificing its speed for massive amounts of HP, this is one of the largest and heaviest Pokémon to have swum the seas this side of a Wailord, and despite being much slower than its pre-evo, it's still a devastating fighter. Sharpness now works in conjunction with Stone Axe to not only rip apart the opposition but set up Stealth Rocks to further agonize anyone who dares to face it. Alternatively, it keeps Rain Dish as its Hidden Ability, and this is more useful to it because when on Rain teams, the free healing means it has less of an issue unleashing some absolutely devastating Head Smash or Wave Crash attacks. Coverage includes a lot of the Ice-type moves that Water-types can learn to deal with Ground- and Grass-type attacks and Aerial Ace to deal with Flying and give it some much-needed priority, though it still has no Ground-type moves that can address Electric and still struggles against Steel-types due to an unfortunate lack of Sacred Sword as well. The aforementioned hefty HP and solid physical defense are useful for trading hits with physical attackers, particularly with a setup move such as Agility or Swords Dance, but its special stats are still almost as paltry as its Speed; hit it with a good solid super-effective special attack or two, and it might as well go belly-up.
* Stone Edge is now boosted by Sharpness.
The Finizen line is a fun one and I appreciate its concept for what it is, but it just isn't for me in part because I feel I'd have been more invested in a dolphin Pokemon that leaned more into the brutal reputation dolphins have increasingly gotten, with fearsome teeth and a gnarly scarred hide. I still wanted that idea but didn't want it too many comparisons to Palafin, so instead of a dolphin, I based this line on the next best thing: an ichthyosaur! For reference, this was a clade of marine reptiles from the Mesozoic that are often stated in literature to have evolved convergently to dolphins - there are after all only so many ways to be a speedy aquatic hunter! I had this idea back in the Aquatic slate but couldn't implement it in time, but it works just as well as a fossil line, so it is one now!
Gladichthus is based on the classic Ichthyosaurus, while Shonisawrd is based on Shonisaurus, the state fossil of Nevada and one of the largest ichthyosaurs known. I decided to spice things up by mixing in a modified version of a prompt from DinoBrian47's 94 Water-Type Pokemon Prompts/Concepts on DeviantArt, which was a fossilmon based on the Eurhinosaurus, a more bizarre ichthyosaur with an elongated upper jaw lined with teeth like a sawfish, along with traits of swordfish and actual sawfish; much as I like many of the existing fossil Pokémon, they tend to adapt the real animal almost one-to-one rather than mixing in weirder traits from multiple species. While this line mostly mixes-and-matches creatures from the same clade, however, its version counterpart is where things get much, much weirder...
Resurrect the Fang Fossil to get...
The Rotten Tooth Pokémon A Pokémon that lived 200 million years ago, resurrected from a fossilized fang. A poisonous gland was preserved inside the fang's core.
Its small size belies a potent venom which dissolves flesh and stinks like curdled milk. Its bright colors warn of its dangerous nature.
Name Origin: Detriment + Drip + Reptile Counterpart: Gladichthus Type: Rock/Poison Abilities: Merciless (HA Stench) Stats: 45 HP/60 ATK/60 DEF/90 SP ATK/45 SP DEF/60 SPD = 300 Level-Up Moves: Leer (1), Poison Gas (1), Ancient Power (6), Bite (10), Mean Look (15), Mud Shot (19), Acid (24), Acid Spray (28), Crunch (33), Poison Fang (37), Sludge Bomb (42), Gunk Shot (46) Notable TMs: All fully universal TM/Tutor moves + Dragon Claw, Roar, Toxic, Venoshock, Taunt, Smack Down, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Earthquake, Leech Life, Shock Wave, Sludge Bomb, Sandstorm, Rock Tomb, Thief, False Swipe, Stealth Rock, Shock Tail, Play Rough, Dragon Pulse, Quash, Acrobatics, Shadow Claw, Earth Power, Stone Edge, Volt Switch, Thunder Wave, Swords Dance, Bulldoze, Retaliate, Rock Slide, Dragon Tail, Poison Jab, Drain Fang, U-turn, Flash Cannon, Wild Charge, Snarl, Nature Power, Dark Pulse, Dazzling Gleam, After You, Assurance, Breaking Swipe, Darkest Lariat, Dig, Encore, Gunk Shot, Head Smash, Hyper Voice, Knock Off, Low Kick, Meteor Beam, Outrage, Power Gem, Revenge, Signal Beam, Snatch, Super Fang, Superpower, Thunder Punch, Trick Notable Egg Moves: Mud Bomb from Arbok; Confuse Ray and Perish Song from Lapras; Parabolic Charge from Heliolisk; Poison Tail from Dragalge or Seviper; Nasty Plot from Hydreigon; Poison Jab and Belch from Seviper (Monster and Dragon)
Flavor/Design:
This bipedal creature somewhat resembles Charmander, but with a more slender, serpentine body and a longer neck. With a height of 2 feet, 5 inches and a weight of 16 pounds, it has dark purple patterning around its shoulders and upper back resembling a leather vest, with matching dark purple bands around the elbows and knees, the mottled edging resembling the markings of a Gila monster. Its long-snouted, somewhat Seviper-like head is magenta-colored with a mohawk-like, jagged-edged frill on the top of its head; bright red with a dark purple edge, it flares upward and forward as a threat display. Its lower body is also magenta, though the latter half of its tail is the same purple as the upper torso with an Ekans-like rattle on the end, except red-colored. It has three white claws on each hand and foot, and is able to go on four legs as well as two. There are two large fangs, white in color but tipped with dark purple like diseased teeth, protruding from the front of its upper jaw; two smaller but still sharp white fangs are also concealed near the front of the lower jaw. Its eyes are a vivid acid green with slitted pupils, with dark purple "eyeshadow" under them. Its broad, forked tongue is the same green color as the eyes. In the shiny sprite, the dark purple is replaced with black, the red with bright purple, the magenta with orange, and the green with yellow.
Gameplay Info:
Merciless to everybody and rotten to the core (of its teeth, that is), Detripile's specialty is debuffing opponents and giving them hell while they're vulnerable. Both of its abilities are associated with a status effect of some kind, with Merciless giving it some extra bite against opponents it's already poisoned, and Stench giving it a chance to flinch an opponent and shut down any attack they were preparing. Of course, the RNG and unreliability of flinching half the time means it's probably best to use Merciless, but with a rather high special attack for an unevolved Pokémon, it's able to make use of such dangerous Rock- and Poison-type moves as Meteor Beam, Sludge Bomb, and Venoshock, and to great effect. As coverage options, it also knows several Ground-type moves to take care of Steel-types such as Earth Power and a breedable Mud Bomb, and its relationship to Heliolisk gives it access to several Electric attacks to counter Water-types, while Dark Pulse and Signal Beam are useful against Psychic - but nothing in its repertoire is useful against Ground, leaving it vulnerable to Earthquake and such. It does get both Volt Switch and U-turn as escape options in case things get hairy, and some fun support stuff like Taunt, Thief, Quash, and the ever-useful Toxic, but there are faster Little Cup 'mons out there and if not for reliable team support, especially against Ground-types, a nasty toothache will soon be the least of Detriptile's problems.
Evolves at Level 35 into...
The Toxic Tooth Pokémon While Detriptile used its poison for defense, its evolution employs it to attack. It injects its venom through the rotten holes in its teeth, but can also spray it over a considerable distance.
Due to the constant pain in its fangs, it has a brash, nasty attitude. When it spreads its frills to show off their vivid patterns, that means it's agitated and about to unleash a vicious assault.
Name Origin: Pernicious + Noxious Counterpart: Shonisawrd Type: Rock/Poison Abilities: Merciless (HA Stench) Stats: 60 HP/90 ATK/75 DEF/90 SP ATK/75 SP DEF/120 SPD = 510 Level-Up Moves: Same as Detriptile, but with added starting moves Glare, Astonish, and Toxic Shock, and added moves Cross Poison (51), Stone Edge (55), and Belch (60). Notable TMs: Same as Detriptile.
Flavor/Design:
Fully evolved, Pernoxious stands at 5 feet, 4 inches tall with a weight of 120 pounds, looking for all the world like a cross between a vintage theropod and a venomous serpent. It is normally bipedal, its spine mostly horizontal but with its long torso and the first half of its longer tail slanting slightly downward so its long, three-clawed, Charizard-like arms almost touch the ground, but it can either rear up 'til its back is nearly vertical, the better to aim its toxic spit, or drop down and slither on all fours to move faster, crawling along like the big lizard it is. Its long, slender neck is flexible and serpentine, normally held in an upright S-curve so its head is held high; said head resembles a cross between those of Seviper and Aerodactyl, with an overall shape like the former, albeit more elongated, and the lower jaw of the latter, saw-like fangs and all, though it isn't quite as deep and has a weaker bite force. The eyes are like Seviper's but positioned more towards the front of the face than the back. The back part of the head is a vivid acid-green, the front half is black (including around the eyes like a ski mask), and the lower jaw is maroon. It has two enormous long fangs near the front of its upper jaw, shaped like Walrein's tusks more than anything else, but as with the pre-evolution they have a gradient to black towards the ends, and near the tip of each is a hole with a green interior... which is the outlet for its foul, caustic venom which it sprays when using Sludge Bomb or other projectile poison attacks. It has three red teardrop-shaped spikes like a punk mohawk on the top of its head, increasing in size going towards the front, and on either side of the back of the head is a pair of membranous frills, normally folded flush against the neck and looking like a red side-stripe on each side, but capable of flaring out to a near-semicircular shape with jagged purplish black edges and a frightening pattern of several black eyespots with green centers; the slit-pupiled eyes and forked tongue are this same shade of green as well. A row of three more red spikes runs down the back of the torso (the frontmost being the longest as with the head), four more shorter spikes form a ring around a fleshy black "collar" at the base of its neck, and there is a matching arrowhead-shaped red sting at the tip of the Pokémon's tapering tail, which normally swoops low to the ground before turning gracefully upward in a second S-curve. The powerful back legs are bird-like with three clawed toes on its long, slender, digitigrade feet, whose black color all the way up to the ankle gives the impression of knee-high boots; the forearms and hands are also black to invoke leather gloves. The front half of its torso is black, and this and the spiked "collar" both invoke a punk leather jacket; this along with the "boots" and "gloves" are separated from the rest of the body color by bands of acid-green, with the hand and foot claws being white in color. The remaining body color is maroon, and on both the neck and tail are patterns of three bands, the outer two being green and the middle one being black; the end of the tail also has a green band and then a black one before ending with red and the dragon-like tail sting.
The shiny palette replaces the maroon with bright red, the red with purple, and the green with yellow, giving it an overall look like an eastern coral snake, which the patterning for this 'mon was inspired by.
Gameplay Info:
Gifted with more balanced offensive stats and a much-needed boost of speed, Pernoxious is now a swift and deadly predator, better built to capitalize upon its ability to spread debuffs and cause mass chaos. Though its Stench ability still has the potential to stop incoming attacks with a flinch status, it was previously noted to be unreliable, and so its best bet ability-wise is Merciless. Since its physical attack is now an even match with its special, strong physical attacks like Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Gunk Shot, and Cross Poison are now at its disposal. Its increased speed also makes it far better at using status moves like Taunt, Thunder Wave, Stealth Rock, Encore, and especially Toxic, the latter of which works alongside Merciless to enable it to unleash a venomous assault on one unlucky target... so long as its prey isn't immune to poison status. Steel-types especially remain a problem as they can wall its Poison attacks while hitting it super-effectively, but they aren't too much of an issue now that it can make good use of Earthquake. Its biggest concern by far though is Ground-types and, alas, it still has no means of taking them on and will be unable to use Volt Switch to flee from them, forcing it to rely on U-turn which is more easily resisted despite its own utility. It does have six type resistances of its own and in particular can easily switch into most Fire- and Fairy-types that aren't packing an Earthquake, but this is cold comfort when its general fraility means it'll probably go down to one super-effective hit.
This line is based on the Uatchitodon, a late Triassic archosauriform reptile whose fossils were found in the United States, both in Virginia and in Arizona. I'm not sure if the latter is close enough to the states Desvega is based on but I probably shouldn't worry too much when we have a T. rex in France haha. In any case, Uatchitodon is only known from isolated teeth, and notably there was a groove in them that was similar to that of venomous lizards like the Gila monster, which led to the hypothesis that this animal was venomous itself, making it the earliest venomous reptile known. I'm not sure how likely that is since no known archosaurs have a venomous bite, and many supposed pieces of evidence of venom from fossilized teeth and skulls have since been found to actually be deformities and fossilization artifacts anyway, but I figured it'd be fun to take a shot at a toxic saurian as the fossil land predator of the duo. One other thing I've come to like about the Poison type more recently is that almost every two-stage Pokémon of this type embodies it in a different way, from venom to paint fumes to car exhaust, so to avoid a straight repeat of a venomous animal and to pay homage to the aforementioned idea of fossilized tooth deformities being mistaken for venom glands and grooves, I worked in a theme of tooth decay, as though these guys are literally weaponizing their own tooth diseases. Seeing as I myself have had to sort out some pretty nasty dental issues this year (which I'm undergoing recovery for), that is one of two reasons why this line is rather personal to me. As for the other? Well, read on...
With little to go on concerning Uatchitodon's appearance aside from its teeth, I felt free to go as wild as I could for the evolved form especially, so it is essentially a do-over of my very first art submission to the Create-A-Pokémon forum on Smogon, which was based on a mix of punk fashion and the famously inaccurate depiction of Dilophosaurus in Jurassic Park, with a neck frill and venomous spit that are in no way based on any fossil evidence at all. To make this new version a little more distinct, I gave it a more snake-like look a la Vertigo from Primal Rage, seeing as this is an archosaur trying its damndest to be a squamate, and mixed in traits of the aforementioned Gila monster as well as a coral snake for the evolved form to add to the exotic factor. I'm really happy with this line, all in all, and if it manages to win, I hope it'll make a beautiful, but deadly addition to the Desvegan fakedex!
SUBMITTER'S NOTE:
The above two submissions are counterparts to one another in several respects. The first is that they've both weaponized their teeth, but in different ways (one relies on direct damage, and the other weakens foes with indirect damage), which means they both have an ability that boosts a certain type of damaging move. The second is that they're both based on animals from the Triassic period, (one from the land and one from the sea), which means their stat numbers and stat totals are all multiples of 3. Third, both stages for each line have the same stat total and the same set of stat numbers - for the first form, it's three stats equal to 60, two equal to 45, and one equal to 90 to make 300 total; and for the second, it's two stats equal to 90, two equal to 75, one equal to 60, and one equal to 120 to make 510 total. And finally, each stage learns a total number of level-up moves that's a multiple of 3 - twelve moves for the base form, and eighteen for the evolved form.

Throughout certain quarries in Desvega, puddles of tar seep up from the ground which can be inspected to obtain certain items. Rarely, you may find a strange feather from a long-extinct Pokémon, though since you can't remove it from the tar, you'll have to collect the tar itself. Gather enough of these Tarred Feathers, and they will disappear all at once from your inventory, but you will automatically receive a Tarry Plume, which you can resurrect in the lab to get...
The Bitumen Pokémon Smoldering Form: A Pokémon that lived 3 million years ago, resurrected from feathers preserved in viscous tar. While this sticky mass is difficult to clean, it makes an effective barrier against the teeth and claws of its enemies.
In ancient times, it is thought to have been a Fire- and Flying-type that used its burning wings to scare other hunters away from carcasses. When it scavenged from tar pits, it must've gotten stuck in the tar itself.
Ignited Form: A Pokémon that lived 3 million years ago, resurrected from feathers preserved in flammable tar. When it ignites the volatile compounds stored in its coat, it can create its own thermals and soar high into the sky.
Thought to be ancestral to both Braviary and Mandibuzz, its mighty wings cast the land in shadow as it hunts for prey from the air. It ignites the tar covering its body to unleash devastating Fire-type attacks.
Name Origin: Tarmac + Teratorn Type: Rock/Fire Abilities: Thermal Lift*
When the Pokémon uses a Fire-type attack or a move that can inflict a burn, it changes into its Ignited form. It returns to its Smoldering form upon taking super-effective damage.
At the start of a match, Tarmatorn will be in its Smoldering Form, which reduces any incoming damage from contact moves by 50%. When in its Ignited Form, Tarmatorn is immune to Ground-type moves, but receives no incoming damage cut. If it switches out when in its Ignited form and switches back in, it will be in its Smoldering Form.

Flavor/Design:
A colossal bird Pokemon and perhaps one of the largest to have ever flown, Tarmatorn ironically spends much of its time on the ground, taking to the air only when necessary - its 8-foot-tall, 308-pound body is hard to get off the ground, after all. It relies on soaring flight thanks to the ability to create its own thermals by setting its tar-soaked plumage on fire, and flaps its gigantic wings only rarely to conserve energy; to attack, it simply drops down onto its prey or opponent like a fiery meteor, talons-first. Its overall appearance, apart from scale, is not unlike its cousin Braviary, though its head is much larger relative to the body and its neck is longer though still heavily muscled; unlike Mandibuzz, its neck is feathered, though its face is bald. If anything, it's like you took the neck and head of a terror bird the size of a T. rex and attached it to the body of an oversized eagle with a wingspan as wide as a personal aircraft. Its legs and feet are thick with muscle, resembling those of Tyrantrum more than any bird, but it retains four toes on each dark red-brown, scaly foot with one facing back and every single one of them bearing an enormous black claw. Its feathers are absolutely caked with thick, purplish-black tar, which forms a gloopy covering like Muk's body, though some of its burning feathers, which glow a vivid orange, stick out from the tar arbitrarily. The flight feathers on its wings and its fan-shaped tail are tar-free and have a luminous fiery pattern of bright yellow and red-orange, as though they were literally made of fire; the shape and patterning of these is akin to the wings of Galarian Moltres, though with more visible slotting like an eagle's wing. Meanwhile, the thinner feathers of the neck are soaked with oily tar which makes them a purplish gray and drooping with a sort of "wet cat" look, with more such feathers drooping from the top of its head like emo hair to obscure its face. There is also a white, starburst-shaped feather ruff at the base of the neck with wispy points tipped with yellow, almost like a cartoon sun. If the head feathers are parted, the facial skin is dark gray as though charred by a cartoon explosion, though its fierce orange eyes are still visible with a fierce glare when not covered by the head feathers. Its massive bill, meanwhile, has the same red-brown color as the feet, though curiously it has a scaly texture to it like Archen's; its shape is like that of a tomahawk, the downcurved cutting edge at the front being black like the talons, flowing smoothly into the hooked tip of the beak - allowing it to use its head like a battle-ax to chop its prey into pieces small enough to swallow.
All of the above, of course, is for Tarmatorn's Smothered form; in this form, it remains on the ground with its wings raised and spread wide to intimidate opponents, its tar dripping from its body with a thick, pudding-like consistency. When it attacks with an ability that triggers Thermal Lift, however, it takes to the air as the tar ignites into flame, its entire covering now a glowing red-orange with trails of fire flowing from wherever the stray feathers were sticking out. The neck and head feathers light up with a gradient from yellow closest to the skin to orange near their ends and closer to the torso, and they now flow upwards instead of downward with a flame-like shape like the wings, as though its whole head is on fire; its face skin is also now pitch-black from the sheer heat, and its eyes blaze solid white. It will remain in this ignited state as long as it is airborne, above the reach of Ground-type attacks. Only a super-effective Water-, Fighting-, or Rock-type move can shake off enough tar to stifle its heat-producing ability and send it plummeting, though it can also return to the ground voluntarily by switching out and then re-entering battle.
Gameplay Info: The main gimmick with this big bird is its form-change ability, which works in a similar manner to Aegislash's Stance Change, though with a broader set of moves and with different effects instead of changing its stats. The most important thing about Thermal Lift is the two immunities its Ignited Form provides, no-selling one of its double-weaknesses but still leaving it vulnerable to three other types - in particular, its 4X weakness to Water remains. If you don't feel confident in the contact damage cut of the Smoldering Form, it's important to have it use a Fire-type attack and get off the ground as fast as possible. Aside from the standard Rock and Fire fare, alongside Tar Shot which can work well with its Fire STAB especially, it can also learn a bunch of Flying, Steel, and Ground-type attacks as coverage, but Solar Beam is arguably your best bet since it's the only Grass-type attack it can learn and thus its only answer to Water. Sun team support would be invaluable, though it can also learn Sunny Day itself to set up Solar Beam more freely, on top of boosting its own special attack to better make use of Solar Beam with Nasty Plot. Be aware though that Tarmatorn is not a good switch-in against Ground despite the boon of its Ignited From, because it will be in its Smoldering Form whenever it enters battle, even after switching out. Needless to say, moves that force a switch like Dragon Tail or Roar are an absolute nightmare to it, especially with entry hazards like Spikes or Stealth Rock active.
The original plan I had for this design was actually a mammoth stuck in a tar pit or covered in burning tar, since I had to homage the La Brea Tar Pits with at least one of my fossil subs. However, Desvegan Mamoswine already did the tar mammoth thing, so while I still wanted to use the tar motif I had to base it off a different Pleistocene animal. I settled on a teratorn fused with the tar it got stuck in because almost all the megafaunal mammals had already been used in a previous winning sub or someone else's submission, and I'm a bird enjoyer anyway and wanted something special. There isn't much of a deeper theme aside from that, though this design also works as a visual pun on the phrase "tarred and feathered".

Resurrect the Horn Fossil to get...
The Crash Buffalo Pokémon A kind of Bouffalant that lived 3 million years ago, resurrected from a fossilized horn. Its head was protected by a great bony shield as hard as bedrock, allowing it to deliver a headbutt that could reduce tall trees to splinters.
When its huge, stalagmite-like horns were first found, they were thought to belong to a late-surviving dinosaur. These ancient Bouffalant clashed over territory by locking horns, each combatant trying to hurl the other into the distance.
Type: Rock/Normal Abilities: Rock Head, Sap Sipper, Pressure (Hidden) Stats: 95 HP/130 ATK/125 DEF/40 SP ATK/55 SP DEF/55 SPD = 500 Removed Moves: Technically none, but move Revenge, Reversal, Throat Chop, and Giga Impact to TMs or egg moves as applicable. Replacement Moves: Ancient Power, Stone Edge, Body Press, Head Smash New TMs/Tutors: All Rock-, Ground-, and Ice-type TMs, plus Knock Off
Flavor/Design:
An ancient variety of Bouffalant that first evolved (in the scientific sense) just before the last ice age, it is thought that the modern form of this Pokemon first arose when the global temperature dropped and the climate where it once lived became more temperate, resulting in it growing a thick coat of fur on its head to keep warm. Before then, though, its head was protected by a massive shield of bone, thick enough around the braincase especially that nothing in the world during its day could break through it. The head plate was in turn covered in a sheath of solid quartzite, one of the hardest natural stone types and a common find across the real-world U.S. This rocky aegis extended and flared outward around the back of its head to form a massive shield of solid stone, a light blue-gray in color with several darker gray, slightly wavy stripes like rock strata. The shield was shaped like a half-circle when seen from the front, and curves slightly backward like a very wide, inverted, and incomplete cone of shame; smaller off-white spikes - which on further inspection are actually fossilized shells - decorated its edges, complemented by another one on its snout like a small rhino horn. Several more off-white shell fragments could also be seen scattered across the surface of the shield. Its brow horns were the same shape as Unovan Bouffalant, but they were gray instead of white, had white rings on them like the fossil shells instead of gold, and joined smoothly with the head shield; instead of sticking out to the side, they sharply curved in a more forward direction near the base, though each was still angled a bit towards its respective side, and then curved upwards a little less strongly towards the lethal tips. The center part of the shield, right above the forehead and between the brow horns, was also slightly domed, forming a cranial boss like a cape buffalo. The rest of the head and body shapes were largely unchanged shape-wise, except for the legs and feet being thicker, two-hoofed and more like Terrakion's legs. There was, however, a light gray rocky peak on the back hump resembling the top of a small mountain, complete with a white top like a snowy peak, along with some rocky plating on the shoulders to match. The fur was also blue roan instead of brown with a light blue-gray face, and thicker and shaggier than its modern relative, almost yak-like.
The shiny color scheme for this variant, as with some other regional variants, sported modern Bouffalant's color palette, but the headplate had a spectacular orange and red pattern like a sandstone cliff.
Gameplay Info:
Although Bouffalant has an ability that powers up recoil moves that should in theory synergize well with Head Charge, its main draw currently is Sap Sipper, which means it has no problem with setting up on and mowing down several Grass-type walls in its tier. Prehistoric Bouffalant enjoys the same benefit, but with the added perk of being able to bait opponents into attempting to use a Grass attack on it since it now has a type weakness to them, because its other viable ability, Rock Head, works in conjunction with dual STAB on Head Charge and Head Smash, all of which is backed up by a frankly ridiculous attack stat. This duality means it'll be more of a challenge to predict the best way to try and stop it at any given moment, allowing for some fun mindgames that could potentially cost a careless opponent dearly. Be it Grass-immune or recoil-immune, though, this brutal bovine is otherwise a one-note beast, but a formidable one nonetheless; being a bit too slow for a proper sweep, it mainly exists to switch into and tank incoming physical damage before utterly fucking obliterating whichever poor sap was dumb enough to cross it. Its main failing is that its attack and defense are buffed at the expense of its special defense, and given that it is now doubly weak to Fighting, being hit by a single Focus Blast would be bad news Beartics for it, and even Sap Sipper sets will still have to watch out for the other three type weaknesses Rock adds to the typing, and while Ground and Steel can still be countered by its Ice and Ground TMs respectively, Water in particular is only countered by Wild Charge (which isn't unusable, but doesn't cover the other types that resist its STAB either), on top of bringing a lot of high-power special attacks to the table. Of note, Prehistoric Bouffalant actually loses Throat Chop, the one answer its descendant had for Ghost-types, but it's able to learn Knock Off as a tutor move which is arguably even more effective - even if it would rather solve problems by simply smashing them, the added effect of hindering certain opponents that require specific items to even be viable at all would be much appreciated by something that can't afford any potential damper on its wallbreaking momentum.
Pokemon Shield: These Pokémon live in herds of about 20 individuals. Bouffalant that betray the herd will lose the hair on their heads for some reason.
I can appreciate Bouffalant from a gameplay standpoint and respect anyone who likes it as it is, but I personally can't get over its afro, especially given that it's practically its defining characteristic. To this end, I decided that for an ancestral variant of it, the 'fro just had to go, and a different means of protecting its head would have to take its place. Pulling from the weird and wild design choices of the past Paradox Pokemon, I based this variant not only on the steppe bison, but also the horned dinosaur, Nasutoceratops, which has horns shaped like those of a bull already. With a ceratopsian head shield instead of an afro, this design is essentially an inverse of the first time Triceratops horns were found, since they were mistaken for those of a bison; seeing as many of the past Paradox 'mons are based on mammalian Pokemon but end up taking on dinosaurian traits, I figured this would make a fun callback to them on top of referencing a real misinterpretation from the early days of palaeontology.

Pokemon: Cramorant-Desvega
Egg Group(s): Water 1 / Flying
Evolution: Level up after successfully hitting opponents 3 times with Gulp Cannon. Does not have to be all in the same battle.
Ability: Big Pecks / Keen Eye / Pickup (HA) Base Stats: 55 HP / 45 Atk / 90 Def / 45 SpA / 70 SpD / 45 Spe (350 BST) Notable Moves: Defog, Roost, Stone Edge, Salt Cure, Stealth Rock, Heat Wave, Gunk Shot, Sludge Bomb, Toxic, Knock Off, Whirlwind, U-turn Height + Weight: 0.5m / 7kg Flavour/Design: Resurrected from a Beak Fossil, Tornalet is believed to be a descendant of Archeops while being an ancient ancestor of Pokemon like Mandibuzz and Staraptor. Tornalet are voracious eaters, seeking out anything edible to devour. In order to make the random edible things they find more palatable, Tornalet will carry salt rocks in their talons to grind onto their food. Tornalet's wings aren't strong enough to carry them long distances, so they are still cared for by their Tornaeris parents, who bring them along in their search for food. Tornalet is a scrawny-looking vulture chick with a poof of feathers looking like a small hat. Evolves into Tornaeris by leveling up after hitting 3 different Pokemon with Salt Cure. Potential Competitive Role: LC tank, hazard setter
Ability: Big Pecks / Keen Eye / Pickup (HA) Base Stats: 100 HP / 70 Atk / 110 Def / 70 SpA / 90 SpD / 60 Spe (500 BST) Notable Moves: Beak Blast, Defog, Roost, Stone Edge, Salt Cure, Stealth Rock, Heat Wave, Heat Crash, Scald, Gunk Shot, Sludge Bomb, Toxic, Knock Off, Whirlwind, Iron Defense, Body Press, U-turn Height + Weight: 2m / 45kg Flavour/Design: Tornaeris soars long distances searching for food, preferring the recently-deceased carcasses of large creatures. While Tornaeris seeks out a rank food source, it actually has a more discerning palate, taking large chunks of bodies back to its nest. Tornaeris collects salt rocks which it will grind as seasoning, and its beak also has the unique ability to produce significant amounts of heat to cook and sanitize the meat into a more edible meal. A combination between a teratorn and a cook, Tornaeris is a large vulture-like bird with feather plumes on its head resembling a chef's hat, and patterns on its feathered body resembling an apron. Potential Competitive Role: Physical tank, hazard setter

Foalior is small but will fight off predators larger than they are, striking with great agility and strong kicks. If faced with a threat they can't defeat, Foalior can run quickly to escape. They have rocky armor plates on their body, which give good protection. Evolves into Cavalequus by leveling up after hitting 3 different Pokemon with High Horsepower. Potential Competitive Role: LC physical attacker, STAB priority

Potential Competitive Role: set up sweeper
Throughout certain quarries in Desvega, puddles of tar seep up from the ground which can be inspected to obtain certain items. Rarely, you may find a tuft of strange fur from a long-extinct Pokémon, though since you can't remove it from the tar, you'll have to collect the tar itself. Gather enough of these Tar Tufts, and they will disappear all at once from your inventory, but you will automatically receive a Tarry Furball, which you can resurrect in the lab to get...
The Asphalt Pokémon A Pokémon that lived 3 million years ago, resurrected from fur preserved in flammable tar. Its coat has become infused with this tar, allowing it to set itself alight as a defense.
Thought to be ancestral to Donphan and Copperajah, it has a far shorter temper than either of them. It ignites the tar covering its body to unleash devastating Fire-type attacks.
(inspirations: Columbian mammoth that got fused with a tar pit - the tar is now flammable and used to burn stuff alive. Also takes cues from the old myth that mammoths lived underground)
While not a veto exactly, it should be pointed out that we already have a winning submission based on tar pits AND mammoths in the form of Beebos' Desvegan Mamoswine, as tagged below:
Abilities: Earth Eater, Sludge Rush, Thick Fat
Sludge Rush: Speed stat is doubled while in Poison Terrain. Stats: 110 | 130 | 79 | 60 | 79 | 72 [BST= 530] Notable Moves: Ice Shard, Ice Spinner, Earthquake, Gunk Shot, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, Superpower, Toxic Signature Move: Oil Slick -
Physical, 40 BP, 30/48 PP, 100 Acc, +1 priority. (could give this to other poison mons as well pls thx) Competitive Role: I guess if we're going to add a new field effect we should add a mon that takes advantage of it, right? 1.3x Gunk Shot with a 30% chance to badly poison is pretty nasty... Outside of poison terrain abuse, this is the old Mamoswine we all know and love (albeit with a moderately worse offensive type), using its monstrous attack stat and STAB priority to punch holes in the opposing team. Cover up those type weaknesses with either Earth Eater or Thick Fat, depending on which compliments the team better.
Name: Desvegan Piloswine Type:
Abilities: Earth Eater, Sludge Rush, Thick Fat Stats: 100 | 100 | 75 | 50 | 75 | 50 [BST= 450] Competitive Role: nfe... Okay now that I think about it eviolite sets could maybe possibly kinda sort of* have a niche
Name: Desvegan Swinub Type:
Abilities: Earth Eater, Poison Point, Thick Fat
Sludge Rush: Speed stat is doubled while in Poison Terrain. Stats: 50 | 50 | 40 | 25 | 40 | 45 [BST= 250] Competitive Role: lc
Flavor: Based on the infamous La Brea Tar Pits in California, this is basically the Mamoswine line but they're covered in sludge. Since Mamoswine's face is based on a ski mask, I guess you could change the regional to more resemble a gas mask... that's about it Evolution Tree: Desvegan Swinub -(Level 33)> Desvegan Piloswine -(Lv. up knowing Ancient Power)> Desvegan Mamoswine
Should be noted that unlike the original Mamoswine line, they do not learn Ancient Power via level up - the move can only be taught via a hard-to-access TM or move tutor.
Coincidences about how an identical sub involving Beebos aside, this is a reminder for everyone to check the spreadsheet (found in the OP) when planning your submissions to avoid overlap with previous slate winners.

I have edited my single-stage submission to use a different concept, although the tar pit influence is still there. Hopefully it is now more distinct from anything else that has been accepted thus far.

Flavour/Design: Inspired to the symbiosis between the wasp of the figs and the figs, which goes on sice thousands years ago.
The Ficovore used to hang their fruit-shaped heads on small lakes or ponds, among many similar plants, while the Waspinger hovered on the water, impollinating all the flowers. When a Waspinger takes a rest on the head of a Ficovore, the Pseudo-ficus Pokemon emits a pheromone that attracts the Wasp Pokemon, and eats its head and body, leaving the abdomen with the stinger hanging from their mouth. When a Jesizard sees a Waspinger's stinger hanging from the mouth of a Ficovore, it runs at high speed on the water to catch the stinger with its bite. This helps both the Ficovore, that can't deal with the Waspinger's venom, and the Jesizard, that can crystallize the venom to enforce the crest on its head. The evolution is stimulated for the species that has the lowest number of individuals inside the ecosystem:
- if wasps decrease, they become more aggressive, and fly in swarms to assault recovering lizards.
- if lizards decrease, they change their diet to eat the figs, and climb on their branches to protect themselves from wasps.
- if figs decrease, they mutate to eat the whole wasp, taking control of their body and using the stinger at their advantage.
but if the three populations are balanced, the ecosystem doesn't present the stimuli to make them evolve, so balance is kept.
Their fossil resurrections just need to see the species they eat to unlock their genetic memory and evolve.

When the Pokémon uses a Fire-type attack or a move that can inflict a burn, it changes into its Ignited form. It returns to its Smoldering form upon taking super-effective damage.
At the start of a match, Tarmatorn will be in its Smoldering Form, which reduces any incoming damage by 50%, and reduces Speed for any opponent that uses contact moves against it. When in its Ignited Form, Tarmatorn is immune to Ground- and Water-type moves, has +1 priority for any move it uses, and will inflict a burn on any opponent that hits it with a contact move, if applicable, instead of slowing them down. If it switches out when in its Ignited form and switches back in, it will be in its Smoldering Form.
What would be the suggested fix for this, then? Do I keep only one effect for each form, or just have the change be cosmetic only? I'd originally planned the former before going kinda overboard, admittedly.
EDIT: I have changed the ability so each form keeps only one effect. I am still open to further feedback and additional revision if such is necessary.

Bigger Megaraptor egg thief. Such feather.

Play this as a fast frail sweeping Rock type. The combo with dark and fliyng is great because flying lets you get around fight type resistors with 3 STAB moves very easily. The few dark resistant steels can be handled by quake or fire punch. You wish you had a fight move but none.

Use defensiveish. iCE and grass have lots of weaknesses so use carefully. You dont really have the speed for a Shell Smash sweep but its your only boost move. Take advantage of the fiery healing if you can.
