Welcome to GlaceMons Ubers, one of the Lower Tiers complementing the fourth mod in the SylveMons series! Like JolteMons last generation, this mod looks to add and change moves, items, and abilities to create a more interesting National Dex Ubers metagame; this time in Generation 9! Pokémon can also be given non-stat adjustments.

Rules

Submission Phase (5 days)

During the submission phase, you can submit 3 new or changed moves, items, and abilities as well as 3 non-stat adjustments to Pokémon, for a total of up to 12 submissions per slate. Templates are provided below. There are very few restrictions for what you can do with moves, items, and abilities, but please keep your submissions balanced and codeable because the council reserves the right to veto any submission deemed uncompetitive, broken, or unfeasible. For Pokémon Adjustments, you can change the Pokémon's typing, abilities, and add or remove moves. You cannot create new moves or abilities for the Pokémon, you must submit those as part of your moves or ability submissions. Multiple moves / items / abilities can be subbed in one slot if they are clones of each other and multiple Pokémon can be adjusted in one slot if they are direct counterparts of each other.

Voting Phase (1 day)
During the voting phase, you may vote for up to 6 submissions in each category. You are allowed 2 self-votes per category. The top voted submissions will win and be added to the metagame, with at least 3 winners in each category.

Discussion (1 day)
The discussion phase of each slate gives us a quick period of rest to get the newest slate coded, discuss what we got in the newest slate, and potentially do a little playtesting before the next slate. Unlike in JolteMons, distribution discussion is no formally longer part of the discussion phase, with distribution now being decided by council, but suggestions are still welcome in the Discord server.

How is GlaceMons different from VaporeMons or JolteMons?
GlaceMons Ubers follows the same format and vision as JolteMons and VaporeMons, seeking to create an interesting take on the current National Dex Ubers metagame while remaining competitive. Other factors regarding the mod can be seen below:

- There is no continuity with VaporeMons or JolteMons, so none of the changes from either mod are present, however, there is continuity with GlaceMons OU, all the changes applied to GlaceMons OU are still included by default for GlaceMons Ubers.
- Content added to GlaceMons Ubers is independant from GlaceMons OU, changes provided to Glacemons Ubers are independant from GlaceMons OU and won't affect that metagame, notably including the less intuitive changes, distributions, or additions of moves, items and abilities to species that weren't already banned from GlaceMons OU. This is to mitigate the issue Fusion Evolution Lower Tiers had of users submitting stuff with the main intent being for another metagame, as well as allowing to make regular species Uber-level without conflicting with GlaceMons OU.
- Elements from either mod can be resubmitted, but do note that just because it's in VaporeMons/JolteMons or even Sylvemons doesn't mean that it won't be vetoed here.
- Rules that VaporeMons follow such as no formal distribution phase and winners having the potential to be nerfed still apply.
- GlaceMons Ubers will last for 3 slates, but if there is still activity around the end of the mod there is potential for it to expand to 5 slates, or possibly even more!

Other

- Unlike GlaceMons OU, Terastalization is not banned, and by extension species like Koraidon and Xerneas still remain banned.

As GlaceMons Ubers is going to have less slates than GlaceMons OU, combined with some coding aspects still being a work in progress, this thread is open at the moment for discussions on how the metagame may fare out in terms of the additions and what's legal, and there'll be room tours to test the metagame out. Stay tuned for details in the Discord server!

after having been jumpscared by pokeabilities' scripts.ts having 215 lines code i need to shove into an item, i would like to make this statement on item subs b4 the mod starts:

PLEASE MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE YOUR ITEMS ARE CODABLE!!!

believe it or not, this is not actually aimed at anyone in particular, its just that neither me nor lysio would like to rip our hair out trying to get things in. if you have any doubts on what can be done please ask in the coding channel of the discord, and ping me and/or lysio. we may also potentially require "complex" subs (subs with unusual effects that arent standard, think parallel mega orb or dungeon's looplet) to be passed by us to allow it in. its better to ask and find out there was no issue, than to not ask when you shouldve. moving forward, i would like to post about whats codable or not around the same time as vetos, but we will see if my memory obliges. (addendum: same goes for moves and abilities, its just for whatever reason its the items that are always insane.) (addendum 2: b4 you say smth, no this is not an april fool's day joke, im just dont wanna deal with the headache that is uncodable stuff.)

Slate 1
Now that the playtesting has been done, it is time to start off the first slate! Remember that the changes added to this tier won't affect Glacemons OU as that's simply a separate metagame from now on for our purposes.

This slate will be open for submissions until around <t:1746504000:f>

Name: Shield of Dreams
Power: -
Accuracy: -
PP: 15
Category: Status
Type: Normal
Effect: Copies the target's positive attack and special attack stat changes, then copies them and turns them into defense and special defense stat changes. Bypasses Substitute
Priority: 0
Flags (ex: Contact, Sound):
Potential Pokémon With This Move: :terapagos-terastal::celesteela::deoxys::hippowdon::venusaur::steelix::tangrowth::wo-chien::magearna::mew::rotom::ho-oh::lugia::lunala::bisharp::landorus::tornadus::thundurus::sableye::registeel::regice::tapu bulu::tapu fini::garganacl::ting-lu::tyranitar::zarude:
Justification: This allows some nice uses of potential psych up and heart swap combination, with this you can turn offensive boosts into good defensive boosts for you to use as you can match your opponents stat changes which makes them likely to be beaten out. This allows you turn offense into defense. With extra priority this allows u to potentially have good counterplay into them

Name: Aura Break
Effect: Super Effective moves deal 2/3 damage to this Pokemon and moves that are resisted do 1.5x damage
Permanent (Yes or No):
Mold Breaker (Yes or No): Yes
Potential Pokémon With This Ability: :swampert::ursaluna-bloodmoon::landorus::iron treads::clodsire::archaludon::dragonite::gouging fire::walking wake::guzzlord:
Justification: Aura break allows some more niche pokemon to gain uses in ubers thanks to this, as super effective moves are much more resisted while being able to dish out more damage against foes who resist it

Name: Dune Sandstorm / Eternal Blizzard
Effect:
On switch-in, the weather becomes Dune Sandstorm, which includes all the effects of Sandstorm and heals the user 1/8th of its maximum health at the end of the turn and makes all Rock Type Moves bypass accuraccy checks. This weather remains in effect until this Ability is no longer active for any Pokemon, or the weather is changed by the Delta Stream, Eternal Blizzard, Desolate Land, or Primordial Sea Abilities.

On switch-in, the weather becomes Eternal Blizzard, which includes all the effects of Snow and negates all Ice Weaknesses, Boosts the power of draining moves and Bitter Blade by 30% and boosts the heal from Leech Seed/Strength Sap/Ingrain/Aqua Ring by 30%.. This weather remains in effect until this Ability is no longer active for any Pokemon, or the weather is changed by the Delta Stream, Dune Sandstorm, Desolate Land, or Primordial Sea Abilities.

Permanent (Yes or No): Yes
Mold Breaker (Yes or No): No
Potential Pokémon With This Ability: Mega Tyranitar + Mega Abomasnow
Justification: Thought weather wars was interesting, so introducing some new weather, these should serve as something that can work especially with stuff like

:pmd/kyurem white::pmd/kyurem-black:
Name: KW
Type: Ice / Dragon
Abilities: Turboblaze / Moody / Ice Body, Teravolt / Moody / Ice Body
New Moves: Will-o-Wisp, Defog, U-Turn, Calm Mind, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Hurricane, Icicle Spear, Scale Shot, Dragon Dance, Frostnip
Removed Moves:
Justification: KW is now much more powerful with ice body or moody and this allows it to have some good options into the tier. With ice body it does pretty well into many mons of the tier or using moody to have extra bulk, power, and speed at the same time. The new moves give it plenty of support and with frostnip it can already cripple arceus forms quite well, will-o-wisp allows it to cripple NDM, ferrothorn,zacian-c, and other stuff. Kyurem black is also getting bonuses to make sure it can keep up in the uber meta and use its good stats for a defensive purpose

:pmd/zekrom::pmd/reshiram:
Name: Zekrom & Reshiram
Type: Dragon / Electric, Dragon / Fire
Abilities: Teravolt / Volt Absorb / Moody, Turboblaze / Levitate / Moody
New Moves:
All: Twsiter, U-Turn, Bulk Up, Calm Mind, Morning Sun, Hurricane
:zekrom: Ion Saw, Nuzzle, Knock Off, Overvolt Rail, Dragon Rend
:reshiram: Burning Jealousy, Mystical Fire, Sacred Fire
Removed Moves:
Justification: This gives them quite a bit of viability, with both of them getting good stuff such as volt absorb, levitate, and moody and good supporting moves it allows them to use their bulk to check quite a bit of stuff. zekromwith volt absorb can completely absorb stuff like thunder from kyogre or t wave. With new tools like nuzzle, knock off, u-turn and bulk up it can be quite a good mon to use. Reshiram on the other hand uses levitate to wall the crap out of groudon, cm arceus ground, and other stuff and with tools like burning jealousy, knock off, u-turn, calm mind, sacred fire it can be a pain in the as to deal with

:giratina:Pressure / Infiltrator (Telepathy), :giratina-origin:Levitate / Infiltrator (Natural Cure)
New Moves: :dialga:Meteor Beam :palkia:Flip Turn :giratina:Spectral Thief
Removed Moves: None
Justification: :Dialga-origin:Dialga-O adds a check to both primals that also checks some notable sweepers such as :arceus-ground:Arceus-Ground, :salamence-mega:M-Salamence, and :eternatus:Eternatus, acting as a potent anti-meta option. :palkia-origin:Palkia-O no longer has consistency issues and can be a potent wallbreaker with No Guard, notably having the capability to break the :groudon-primal:Primal Groudon + :ho-oh:Ho-Oh core, and :giratina-origin:Giratina-O gains some extra utility to make it more difficult to overwhelm by setup sweepers. Their Altered formes also benefit from more relevant abilities, notably :dialga:Dialga can find easier opportunities to lay Stealth Rock or disrupt a sweeper, :palkia:Palkia can punish Sticky Web and Intimidate, and :giratina:Giratina can now phaze foes behind a Substitute without having to worry about Taunt.

:sv/lugia:

/
1745648804044.png

Abilities: Lightning Rod (Cloud Nine)
New Moves: Scald, Flip Turn, Octazooka, Synchronoise, Encore, Haze
Removed Moves: None
Justification: Adds a check to :zacian-crowned:Zacian-C, :kyogre-primal:Primal Kyogre, :necrozma-ultra:Ultra Necrozma, and :groudon primal:Primal Groudon all-in-one, being held back by its initial passivity as it has lacking offenses by Ubers standards.

Name: :soul dew:Soul Dew / :latiasite:Latiasite / :latiosite:Latiosite
Effect: :soul dew: If held by a :latias:Latias or :latios:Latios, 1.3x SpA and 1.5x SpD, can also Mega Evolve while retaining Levitate / :latiasite: If held by a :latias:Latias, it can Mega Evolve and retain Levitate / :latiosite: If held by a :latios:Latios, it can Mega Evolve and retain Levitate
Can Be Knocked Off: No
Ignored by Klutz: No
Fling Power & Effect: As before
Justification: Soul Dew Latis have the role compression of a Defogger that checks Primal Groudon, Primal Kyogre and Ultra Necrozma. The capability to Mega Evolve is also a double-edged sword as they can't Terastallize, but it does keep them in check in exchange for overall better stats for healthier uses. The "regular" Mega Stones are merely being reverted change-wise to ease coding of the main item in Soul Dew.

Justification: The move currently is practically unusable in Ubers by a lack of abusers, this change adds more distribution to add more variety on trapping options, while also keeping more in check some Psychic-types in the tier like :mewtwo-mega-y:Mega Mewtwo Y and :necrozma-ultra:Ultra Necrozma.

Name: Ting-Lu, Chien Pao, Chi-Yu
Type: Ground/Dark, Ice/Dark, Fire/Dark
Abilities: Vessel Of Ruin (Water Absorb), Sword Of Ruin (Flash Fire), Beads Of Ruin (Earth Eater)
New Moves:
:ting-lu: Recover, Quicksand Drain,
:chien-pao: Parting Shot, Stomping Tantrum, Flare Blitz
:chi-yu: Lunar Blessing, Calm Mind, Giga Drain
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification: The Ruin abilities are already very strong, but each of the ruins has a secondary ability which can patch up a weakness of theirs in exchange for less general success. Ting Lu is already a bulky hazard setter which can come in on mons like Primal Groudon and Zygard which really required recovery to have lasting power in a meta as strong as uber. Also, with Water Absorb can absolutely ruin Primal Kyogre's day. Chien Pao isn't really lacking in the power department, but adding Parting Shot allows it to also become a fast pivot as well as being the monstrous breaker that it always is. ST is a nieche option to hit Steels while Flare Blitz allows it to capitalize off of flash fire and break through ferro. Chi-Yu has to contend with a mediocre speed tier so despite it's monstrous power I gave it tools which can allow it to be used in bulkier CM sets, with LB for healing and Giga Drain to rolecompress healing and breaking through Kyogre on both CM and HO sets. Bulkier variants can capitalise on Earth Eater to set-up on Zyguard or Groudon.

:sv/Ursaluna:
Name: Ursaluna
Type: Ground/Water
Abilities: Unaware/Guts/Honey Gather
New Moves: Slack Off
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification: Offensive Unaware mon who can set-up on it's own. Acts as a more offensive take on how Dondozo is currently within the metagame, particularly effective against certain Arceus sets and Zygard sets with less immediate power and can switch into things like P-don and set-up on it. Threatens almost everything in the metagame at +2 with swords dance. However it lacks as much immediate bulk as pure walls and is very vulnerable on the special side, meaning it can be hard to fully sweep a team without support.

Name: :booster-energy: Booster Energy
Effect: If held by a Paradox Pokémon, activates the Protosynthesis or Quark Drive abilities.
Can Be Knocked Off: No
Ignored by Klutz: No
Fling Power & Effect: 30 BP, Lowers highest stat of opposing Pokemon.
Justification: Pretty much every Paradox mon is currently unviable in nat-dex Ubers, largely due to it being relatively easy to force them out, meaning they end up running weaker items with more prevalent downsides. Gouging Fire and Tusk to a lesser extent can now take advantage of boosted defenses to set-up or perform utility in the case of Tusk while Flutter Mane, Walking Wake, and to a lesser extent Iron Bundle who still hates Primal Groudon existing, can become more powerful breakers.

:sm/Xerneas:
Name: Xerneas
Type: Fairy
Abilities: Fairy Aura
New Moves: Quiver Dance,
Removed Moves: Geomancy, Tera Blast
Justification: Geomancy + Tera is straight up busted, no question. Ironically requiring the two turn move to actually take two turns to get the actual boost should make it more managable. However, frankly given Tera Blast basically turns the entire thing into a guessing game and given you still massively benefit from Tera I feel like you become far healthier without it.
1. im pretty sure without tera blast it would be easier to deal with but the fact it cna tera is a problem
2. quiver dance is broken and we have seen BH xearnes use it, this would open up shit like z thunder xerneas which is likely even more bonkers
3. its a signature move...
4. btw u can adjust geomancy to be like a +2, +2, +1 boost instead which makes it easier to revenge kil and have to run more speed ev's

This allows you turn offense into defense. With extra priority this allows u to potentially have good counterplay into them

Name: Orichalcum Pulse / Hardon Engine
Effect: On switch-in, summons Sunny Day / Electric Terrain. During Sunny Day / Electric Terrain, Dragon and Fighting moves have 1.2x power / Dragon and Electric Moves have 1.2x power.
Permanent (Yes or No):
Mold Breaker (Yes or No):
Potential Pokémon With This Ability:
Justification: Makes them more doable to deal with since the smaller power boost means its easier to switch into their stabs especially since it doesnt boost coverage anymore and stuff like overheat, flare blitz, and other options
:ability shield:: This is practically a PrankHaze in a single move, this limits the offensive metagame too much, I'd recommend to make it have +0 priority but compensate by letting it bypass Substitute, maybe even make it set Lucky Chant too.
:koraidon::miraidon::This barely affects them from what made them broken (hint, the coverage gets barely affected because lol Tera, and Miraidon doesn't even need it either per-say), I would recommend to just grant them Drought and Electric Surge.

About 24 hours will be given for the above submissions to get reworked, and may be disallowed from being voted on if they still remain too inappropiate for the metagame.

Oh, a last minute concern has been brought up, so here's an additional veto:

Name: Turboblaze | Teravolt
Effect: Current effect + 50% boost to Fire (Turboblaze)/Electric (Teravolt) moves.
Permanent (Yes or No): Yes
Mold Breaker (Yes or No): No
Potential Pokémon With This Ability: :reshiram: :Zekrom: :kyurem-white: :kyurem-black:
Justification: These abilities should be more than just Mold Breaker clones.
This is too much as they then become too difficult to wall, would recommend to just grant them Drought and Electric Surge instead, as they're field effects they're more easy to disrupt and more importantly then can't stack with them by nature.

Because of this, the veto phase is expanded for about another 24 hours, sorry for the inconvenience!

Voting is now open!

The following submissions remain veto'd, and thus any votes towards such submissions will be ignored:

Name: Behemoth Blade | Behemoth Bash | Dynamax Cannon
Power: 100
Accuracy: 100%
PP: 5
Category: Physical | Special (Dynamax Cannon)
Type: Steel | Dragon (Dynamax Cannon)
Effect: Deals double damage to Mega Evolved or Primal Pokemon.
Priority: 0
Flags (ex: Contact, Sound): Slicing (Behemoth Blade)
Potential Pokémon With This Move: :zacian: :zacian-crowned: :zamazenta: :zamazenta-crowned: :eternatus:
Justification: These moves kinda lost their identity once Dynamax was removed, so let's have them deal double damage to all transformations

:sv/marshadow:
Name: Marshadow
Type: Ghost/Fighting
Abilities: Technician | Iron Fist
New Moves
: Meteor Mash, Wicked Blow, Surging Strikes, Triple Axel, Victory Dance
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification: Marshadow's whole thing is lurking in the shadows, so I gave it Unseen Fist and Urshifu's signature moves

Voting Format
In each category, you may vote for 6 submissions, with 2 self-votes in each category (so you can vote for 24 submissions with 8 total self-votes). Please specify which votes are self-votes. You don't have to list who made the submission unless someone else subbed something with the same name/species. The order you put it in does not matter, every vote is worth 1 point.
Moves
Blaze Kick (SV), Aura Sphere (SV), Liquidation, Triple Axel, Tail Slap, Thunderbolt

Items
Eviolite (SV), Black Belt (SV), Life Orb, Metronome, King's Rock, Choice Specs

Abilities

Justification: The move currently is practically unusable in Ubers by a lack of abusers, this change adds more distribution to add more variety on trapping options, while also keeping more in check some Psychic-types in the tier like :mewtwo-mega-y:Mega Mewtwo Y and :necrozma-ultra:Ultra Necrozma.
Name: Freeze Shock | Ice Burn

PP: 10
Category: Special
Type: Dragon
Effect: Forces opponent to switch out.
Priority: -6
Flags (ex: Contact, Sound): Sound
Potential Pokémon With This Move: :dialga:
Justification: Dialga's signature move has always been really bad compared to Palkia's. So I'm making Roar of Time a stronger, special Dragon Tail
Name: Aeroblast
Power: 100
Accuracy: 100%
PP: 5
Category: Special
Type: Flying
Effect: Always crits.
Priority: 0
Flags (ex: Contact, Sound): Same as before
Potential Pokémon With This Move: Lugia
Justification: Lugia is an uber that's sort of been passed over through time. With this change, it can now serve as an effective check to basically any special sweeper, and also have more consistency. This probably won't be enough to push it over the top as well.
:sm/rayquaza-mega:
Name: Meteorite

Effect: If held by a Rayquaza, this item allows it to Mega Evolve in battle.
Notes: Removes Dragon Ascent functionality entirely as a secondary effect of this sub. To iterate in a different way, this sub winning means that Dragon Ascent will no longer be able to Mega the Rayquaza, and the only ways will be with parallel mega orb (may he rest in pieces) and this stone.
Can Be Knocked Off: No
Ignored By Klutz: Nope
Fling Power & Effect: Cannot be flung. 384 BP
Justification: Removes the most problematic aspect of MRay.
Name: Aura Break
Effect: Super Effective moves deal 2/3 damage to this Pokemon and moves that are resisted do 1.5x damage
Permanent (Yes or No):
Mold Breaker (Yes or No): Yes
Potential Pokémon With This Ability: :swampert::ursaluna-bloodmoon::landorus::iron treads::clodsire::archaludon::dragonite::gouging fire::walking wake::guzzlord:

Potential Pokémon With This Ability: :dialga-origin: :genesect: :magearna: :necrozma: :necrozma-dusk-mane: :necrozma-dawn-wings: :archaludon::iron-treads::iron-jugulis:

:pmd/zekrom::pmd/reshiram:

:sv/lugia:
Name: Lugia
Type: View attachment 736997/View attachment 735098
Abilities: Lightning Rod (Cloud Nine)
New Moves: Scald, Flip Turn, Octazooka, Synchronoise, Encore, Haze
Removed Moves: None
Justification: Adds a check to :zacian-crowned:Zacian-C, :kyogre-primal:Primal Kyogre, :necrozma-ultra:Ultra Necrozma, and :groudon primal:Primal Groudon all-in-one, being held back by its initial passivity as it has lacking offenses by Ubers standards.
:sv/Ting-Lu: : :sv/Chien-Pao: :sv/Chi-Yu:

A little miffed I had a drafted submission that I forgot to actually click send for, but I'll submit it next cycle.

I'm going to hold off until the Turboblaze/teravolt submission is revised to be drought + electric surge rather than vote for the current.

I oppose most of the other adjustments. Giving Levitate around like candy is so boring conceptually, and it doesn't do anything but make random mons meme on Primal Groudon, a Pokemon I don't find problematic.

I would have voted for Multitype if the abilities were a little different. Just giving stuff immunities is boring, and giving Levitate to Arceus-Poison additionally keeps it from absorbing toxic spikes. Cloud Nine on Arceus-Water is funny though ngl.
