Gliscor is NOT 100% Heracross counter

Most gliscor I face lack arial ace for some reason... what was it... maybe people are too worried about garchomp?

Anyways, all heracross needs to beat gliscor is:

Jolly nature'd Substitute and either swords dance(and a little defensive investment) or bulk up

OR:

Natural gift: ice! Although gliscor has better defense than special defense, the same can be said about heracross' attack. Natural gift, although it robs you of your item, can certainly score a surprise KO! emphasis on surprise.

I don't see why people don't use natural gift...

At least Natural Gift won't force Heracross to make a Special Attack investment like Hidden Power [Ice] would. Still, Natural Gift has no reasonable chance of OHKO on Gliscor without status, thus it generally blows as you say.

The problem with Natural Gift is two-fold. First, it keeps you from using a (generally speaking) superior item. And if circumstances result in your Pokemon consuming the berry it's holding, you're basically left with a Pokemon with 3 moves (and no item, of course!).

I am not totally sure that you outspeed Gliscor at all, plus with your set something like Hippowdon is worthy of taking it on. Plus gliscor can invest a little Ev's in Spdef, which I think most should to round off the spdef on things. Plus agility / rock polish Gliscor ruins that thanks to roost.
