Godzilla strikes back!

Hi everyone! I'm a huge fan of DD-Ttar, so my Team is build around him, to help him sweep at the end of the game.

Overview of the team:

Lead Gliscor @
Bag_Leftovers_Sprite.png

Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Hp / 4 Def / 252 Init
~ Earthquake
~ Stealth Rock
~ Roost
~ Taunt

I had serveral options for my starter, but I think Gliscor is the best choice to support Tyranitar and the rest of the team. With Roost and Taunt, (and in conjunction with Vaporeon's Toxic) he's effective at weakening or taking down walls who could be threatening for Tyranitar. His speed is beneficial as well, because my team is rather slow. His ability to attract ice- and water attacks is a big plus and let's him work well together with Vaporeon and Jirachi. The Evs and Moveset are standart.

The only thing which i don't like about Gliscor, is that a have to switch him out rather often against some often used Leads. Machamp and Swampert are very common, and both of them can 2HKO me with their ice-attacks.

With Gliscor, I don't have to worry about Lucario and other Tyranitars as he can easiliy switch in and kill them (and abuse the sandstorm with sand veil).

Standart Wish Vaporeon @
Bag_Leftovers_Sprite.png

Nature: Bold
EVs: 188 Hp / 252 Def / 68 SpD
~ Surf
~ Wish
~ Protect
~ Toxic

I love Vaporeon for being useful in so many situations. Its ability to absorb and resist Water and Ice attacks is s great asset for this team, as Gliscor, Flygon and Tyranitar are weak to them. Moreover, it attracts Thunderbolts, in which case Flygon or Gliscor has the chance to be switched in. Wish is great to heal Jirachi and especially Flygon, who constantly has to take hits for the team.

Since I have a Magnezone in my team, I chose to spend those 68 speed EVs in special defence to better deal with mixed Infernapes.

Toxic over Hp(Electric) is here to better deal with other Water Pokemons. I lose the ability to counter Gyarados, but I really don't know how else I can kill some Stall Teams. Toxic also help Gliscor to just stall some enemy Walls out, as it can just taunt them.

Substitute and Thunderwave Jirachi @
Bag_Leftovers_Sprite.png

Nature: Jolly
EVs: 164 Hp / 168 Atk / 176 Spe
~ Substitute
~ Thunder Wave
~ Iron Head
~ Fire Punch

Since I want to sweep with my DD-Ttar, I thought it would be good to use some kind of Thunderwave-User in this Team. TW-Jirachy seemed to be a good choice, as it has an easy time switching in and it works really good together with Flygon. Thunderwave gives me a chance to maybe slow down some Scarf Users, who could be dangerous for Tyranitar at the end of the game. This Jirachi can be so annoying for my opponent as it has a chance to slowly KO them from 100 to 0. Evs are standart.

Fire Punch is here to help Magnezone kill some Steel Types, in case he doesn't get his job done.

Choice Scarf Flygon @
Bag_Choice_Scarf_Sprite.png

Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
~ Earthquake
~ Outrage
~ U-Turn
~ Thunder Punch

Flygon is here because of his resistances and ability to stop an opposing Sweep. Fire/Electric/Ground Attacks can all be directed to him, as these moves would kill some of my team members. He works perfectly well together with Jirachi, Vaporeon and Magnezone and he sould have a lot of possibilities to switch in and U-Turn back. Together with Vaporeon, He can do this Job even better, as I can heal off the caused damage from this non-effective Attacks. EVs are standart.

I choose Thunderpunch above Stone Edge/Fire Blast to have a chance against Gyarados. Since my Vaporeon hasn't got Hp(Electric) anymore, I needed something to check Gyarados and Thunderpunch seemed a fine alternative.

Steel Killer Magnezone @
Bag_Leftovers_Sprite.png

Nature: Timid
EVs: 40 Hp / 252 SpA / 216 Spe
~ Substitute
~ Thunderbolt
~ Hp(Grass)
~ Magnet Rise

Every Steelwall which can't be killed by the Toxic/Taunt - Gliscor/Vaporeon Combo, needs to be finished off by Magnezone. The most important pokemons to mention here are Scizor, Metagross, Bronzong and Forretress. As my Tyranitar doesn't wear a Babiry Berry, Magnezone is a Key member and it is essential to kill Scizor. I chose 40 Hp EVs, because I don't have explosion and therefore don't need any attacking stats.

Magnet Rise is for CB Metagross and it can be usefull against Swampert and some other Ground Pokemons. Hp(Grass) was recommended by scimjara and I agree that it helps the overall coverage.

Dragon Dance Tyranitar @
Bag_Life_Orb_Sprite.png

Nature: Jolly
EVs: 4 Hp / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
~ Dragon Dance
~ Crunch
~ Rock Slide
~ Earthquake

So here's my favourite Pokemon Tyranitar. As all the counters should be weakened or dead by the end of the battle, I chose Life Orb for 30% more Power. I also chose Rock Slide over Ston Edge, because i HATE Stonde Edge. This move has allways let me down when i most needed it and I will definitely never use it again. Rock Slide gives me the chance to Flinch, which is enough to convnce me that it is better then this crappy Stone Edge. For the last Moveslot, I changed Icepunch to Earthquake, as it was recommended by Scimjara.

Hey Lowen nice team you have yourself there I have a few suggestions that may help your team out!

Pretty solid team so there wont be major changes just a few move set fixes. By the looks of it you have everything handled pretty well beside swampert who actually can one/two hit ko every pokemon on this team beside vaporeon. A IceQuake swampert is the biggest threat on this team. There is no point in running hp fire magnezone because thunderbolt is already a 2hko on choice band scizor and if it's trapped on bullet punch or pursuit you will still have your substitute up while you killed the scizor. So instead I would suggest you use hp grass over hp fire on magnezone so you won't be walled by swampert and you can ohko in return.

Since you already run hp electric on vaporeon there is no need to have thunder punch on scarf flygon. Instead try using stone edge to help deal with those flying types without locking yourself in outrage. As for the tyranitar set I don't see any point in running ice punch when you can use stone edge a stab move which also handles the flying or dragon types just as well. Then drop rock slide for earthquake to handle metagross. Having rock slide and ice punch on the same moveset ruins your coverage.

GL with the team!

@Aeolian: Ok I expanded the descriptions.

@Scimjara: Hey, thanks for the rating! I did some changes which I thought would be beneficial and I changed Hp(grass) on Magnezone and Earthquake on Tyranitar like you mentioned. But like I stated above, I will never ever use Stone Edge again, I really really really hate this Move -.-
