INTRO
I've been commpetitively battling for a few months now. I decided to use a weather team after some thought. I've won many battles with this team but I have also lost a few. I really want to improve my team. So guys, what do you say? Rate my team!
Hippowdon(M)@Leftovers
Ability: Sandstream
EVs: 252hp/152def/104spD
Impish Nature
Stealth Rock
Slack Off
Earthquake
Ice Fang
This is my lead pokemon. It starts up the sandstorm. It is bulky and very reliable in setting up the rocks. I can easily use this later on in the game as an effective physical wall.
Heatran(M)@Life Orb
Ability: Flash Fire
Evs: 252spA/252spe/4spD
Naive Nature
Fire Blast
Earthpower
Hidden Power Grass
Substitute
This is my special sweeper. It can come in on so many different types of attacks thanks to its great typing. Flash fire helps a lot too as without it not only would Heatran not be imune to fire and receive a 1.5x fire boost but it would take neutral damage from fire attacks. Since I have Scizor and Celebi I should be recieving the fire boost a lot. It packs great synergy with scizor and celebi. I chose fireblast over flamethrower for power.
Tyranitar(M)@Babiri Berry
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252atk/252spe/4hp
Jolly Nature
Stone Edge
Crunch
Fire Punch
Dragon Dance
Tyranitar is a pretty sturdy sweeper and so thats why i chose him. I wanted as much speed possible on Tyranitar as thats its only down stat as a sweeper. I have dragon dance to boost its poor speed and high attack to higher levels. After 1 drangon dance i can outrun Starmies and KO with a STAB super effective Crunch. I have a Babiri Berry so I can d-dance upon a switch and survive a bullet punch from scizor and KO bak with Fire Punch. Stone Edge is a strong STAB attack to KO Gyrados and Dragonite.
Flygon(M)@Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252atk/252spe/4spD
Jolly Nature
Earthquake
Outrage
U-turn
Thunder Punch
Flygon is a great pokemon for scouting thanks to choice scarf and U-turn. Earthquake is a good STAB with good coverage. Outrage is there for a powerful STAB attack. Fireblast for taking down Skarmory and Bronzong. Flygon has good synergy with my thanks to its typing and ability. It can take ground attacks aimed at Heatran and Tyranitar, Fire attacks aimed at celebi and especially Scizor.
Scizor(F)@Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248hp/252atk/8spe
Adamant Nature
Bullet Punch
U-turn
Superpower
Pursuit
Scizor is just AWESOME! A powerful priority move and great typing and a great attack stat. With U-turn it is a great scouting partner for Flygon as Flygon resists fire attacks aimed at Scizor and Scizor resists ice and dragon attacks aimed at Flygon. Superpower is for steels and wherever it deals 2x damage and pursuit is for ghost/psychic types who try to flee. Sometimes I consider running Life orb over choice band as i have freedom of moves but the recoil and less power is an upset.
Celebi@Choice Scarf
Ability:Natural Cure
EVs:252spA/252spe/4hp
Timid Nature
Leaf Storm
Hidden Power Ice
Earth Power
Trick
My needed something to deal with water types including Starmie so I decided to run a choice scarf Celebi. I'll be able to outspeed and OHKO Starmie with Leaf Storm. Hidden Power ice allows me to KO Flygon and revenge kill Dragonite along with weakened pokemon that take super effective damage from HP ice. Earth power is there to revenge kill many pokemon most notably Choice scarf Heatrans and Infernapes. Trick is there to cripple annoying stallers especially Blissey and Skarmory or a pokemon trying to setup on me.
Please rate my team! Thank you!
