Good *Free* Forum Hosting Websites?

I plan on making a forum. Don't you dare laugh, it's focus is going to be nothing like this forum, although it will be about Pokemon (fanfiction, art, etc.). However, I do not know of a good *free* hosting site. Anybody recommend anything?
 
i have a question: what's the point, really? there's already too many pokemon sites out there as it is. not trying to put you down, but it's the truth dude.

I think it's to express the more artsy aspect, gathering from his post. Also, I have to say, you get what you pay for. Which means most of the "free" forum hosting sites you'll come across will suck. Good luck.
 
I never understood the point of making your own forum if you don't have a community... it's never worked, make an actual site and gather a community before you make a forum or else it will just end up like every other free board on the internet - more forums than members.

Really, when you get enough of an audience to have real forums you'll want a real host anyway... shared hosting is cheap as fuck anyway.
 
Thanks, guys. I'm using Invision Power Boards now.

Depending on how much people like it, I may opt to buy hosting.
