Google wave

no doubt you have heard Google's new attempt at "online tool for real-time communication and collaboration" essentially its like email, msn and google docs all rolled into one.

So has anyone received their invites?
What are your thoughts so far?

I received my invite 3 weeks ago and its been kind of weird the only thing that annoys me so far is the lack of notifications, although their is probably an extension for that coming soon.

Finally i have 20 invites remaining if anyone wants to get on the wave

IMO the full video captures the awesome so much better than the short video (but that is to be expected).

I've got mine, but the only thing that makes me mad is that there's legit nobody to communicate with. None of my friends at school know what it is, and there's only a handful of smogoners with it. However the future looks promising for it, and from what I've been able to try it looks really cool. That isn't saying much seeing as, once again, there's no email tie-in and there's nobody I know on it!

I have Google Wave. So far it's been pretty underwhelming actually! The reason is because, in my experience, it's actually slow. It was nowhere as fast as in the videos. In one wave, my friends and I talked at a relatively fast rate (say, IRC when a channel is active) and it clogged up so bad the wave didn't update for a full day or so. Other than that it hasn't exactly blown my mind. I also have to get used to the interface; it's too busy for me. Once Google Wave gets faster I might like it better.

Nerdling, sent the invite. I'm having the same problem, as in i don't have that many people to chat with, although i got a bunch of updates so my list should be growing soon

i got an invite a couple weeks ago but the video makes it seem so underwhelming, like theres really not a point to using it over another im.

It seems more like a novelty thing to me. It was neat for a couple of days, now I don't care if I never use it again. I don't see this picking up too much steam anytime soon..
