~gormsandhailghast~

yeah guys i made a new team ;D
wayff and i had been discussing hailsand so i went and made this ;D
6000th thread in stark ;D

460.png

Abomasnow (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 64 HP/184 Atk/84 Spd/176 SAtk
Rash nature (+SAtk, -SDef)
- Blizzard
- Leech Seed
- Substitute
- Focus Punch

easily the best set. Subseeds slower shit, subs onthe heatran switch and hurts it, blizzard hurts alot of shit and can just for switches in general. Reason for the team and just an awesome poke.

248.png

Tyranitar (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 176 HP/252 Atk/80 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Pursuit

awesome poke but i might replace with a bulkier set with lefties, or maybe run jibaku's full sdef set since heatran is troublesome although i'd miss 2hkoing forry

73.png

Tentacruel (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 252 HP/56 Def/8 Spd/16 SAtk/176 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Toxic Spikes
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin

TS are fucking awesome and help me stop chomp

472.png

Gliscor (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP/36 Atk/216 Def/4 Spd
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Ice Fang
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Roost
necessary for my embarassing hera/luke/chomp weak

251.png

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 240 HP/216 Def/4 Spd/48 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Recover
- Grass Knot
- U-turn
- Leech Seed

can't make a team without her. this is to stop gyararape

485.png

Heatran (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 28 Atk/228 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- Explosion
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Fire Blast
saves my ass alot, garchomp insurance etc etc

strat is to get my pointies down and force switches with aboma/cele/gliscor

heatran cleans up afterwards.

problems: offensive ice (BAN ME PLEASE) gyara, nothing takes status (i usually put gliscor to sleep) and hp ground yanmega can be a bitch

Mamoswine looks like it can give you problems and although I agree that that is the best aboma set I would consider giving it seed bomb or preferbally focus blast.

It looks balanced but the Fight/Ground + Ice Weak is scary especially since you are not very fast (save heatran) (Although he is outsped by jolly 252 spe dugtrio at the moment) (So use 236 speed evs)

I do not see the point in aboma since he is mainly used either for hail teams or for a good gyara counter (which you already have in celebi)

You need something more in attacking maybe heracross or garchomp in here?

Also try out thunder wave on celebi for your speed problem.

apart from being cool i like aboma for removing garchomp's sand veil/skarms lefties/tars sdef

fp is for bliss x) it's working great so far

i might try twave but i really like uturn xD i dunno what set id do with twave, maybe heal bell ?_?

when has aboma ever countered gyara r_R;

I do not see the point in aboma

The point is to be a surprisingly fucking annoying lead. Nice team gorm n_n

You have a Gengar weak and your only options would be to play around with resistances until it kills itself or revenge kill it with Heatran. Hows about fitting something like restalk Zapdos sound?

Edit: light screen works too it just means you don't have anything to take sleep

How is it a fucking annoying lead?

With its current speed it is faster then most tar so SS goes up as well as his special defense boost. he then kills you with crunch/SE/Fire Blast.

Gengar can sleep and focus blast

salamence has access to fire blast

bronzong is hitting it very hard with gyro ball

yanmega ohkos with bug buzz

Infernape rapes it

I really do not see a lead it likes that much. The point of aboma is to support it with the hail team and to set up hail for the team. No one on his team benefits from it. Using aboma for coolness points is stupid. It should belong on a team.

Gorm you say his main role is removing lefties off skarm and for chomp veil. Why not just use knock off on gliscor or tentacruel and lead with weavile or something?

I'm sorry I just don't see how he fits well into this team.

his main role isnt getting rid of rock's sdef and chomps veil but it is quite conveneint. his main role is forcing switches, but as a lead hes only good vs zong/hippow you're right. i could lead with tenta i guess

Gengar and Mamoswine give you pretty big problems, so you can try leading with a split defense Bronzong over Abomasnow. Giving it Lum Berry fucks over Gengar leads that try to put you to sleep, and it obviously stops Mamo from picking you apart.

I don't see what role Abomasnow is playing in this team, other than providing Hail which your team doesn't even need.

lol Still holding on to your Celetrantar obsession!

Obamafat dosen't do anything here, and you have no reliable Rock resist.

You could try Gengar as a lead. maybe even a sub punching version to fuck over blissey.

Actually you should consider bronzong as your lead. it gives that handy ice/rock/ground resist and immune and is neutral to fighting. takes care of garchomp and give it lum berry to beat gengar. hypnosis skarmory...

I think that would be a much better lead

Love the obama-snow. I'm thinking about stealing it. Hope you don't mind ;)

Biggest weak I see is Togekiss, w/ NP, Aura sphere and Air slash. With max speed, it outspeeds your team, except for Heatran of course. Better hope they don't run while you assplode on it. Tentacruel might wall it, but really doesn't do enough dmg, especially if they have Roost as their last move.

Perhaps a sleep talk Zapdos as a starter to help cover that weakness, as well to take status? Hard to say what to replace though, maybe Celebi?

-.- I <3 this team. I still want to fir Mamoswine onto this team. I'm taking Goofball's advice of making an offensive one.

Edit: Time to use Trick Room, Gorm.

The HaiStream tactic is best used as a defensive mechanism, for changing the tide of the battle to that unfavorable to your opponent. To make a long story short, using Sand to stall out a hail team and using Hail to stall out a sand team.
My HailStream team included Abomasnow(obviously), Hippowdon(Streams sand and sets up SR), Tentacruel(had a load of good resistances+Special Wall+Toxic Spikes), Vaporeon(mixed wall + wish passer), Zapdos(mixed wall + Resttalker), and finally as an end game sweeper, Mamoswine(immune to both weathers).

Just put my whole two cents on the idea. going offensive with it seems like a disaster..... especially with Tyranitar and abomasnow's massive fighting weaknesses, combined with mamoswine's(the only thing immune to both SS and Hail)

Ha! Unlike the above poster, I totally support the idea of an offensive mixture. I made a team like this before I stopped battling as I said mine was a more offensive nature one than a defensive one. I believe I ran Mamoswine Gengar Machamp along with T-tar and Abomasnow unfortunately I don't remember my 6th pokemon. It worked quite well and easily messed up tons of opponent depending on the weather to work in their favor along with the 4 offensive pokemon (as I don't remember the 4th one this is somewhat moot) to continuously pressure them. My advice is to try an offensive approach it might not work with your playing style but I think its the best way to run a double weather type team.

If he ditches Tentacruel for Starmie and Gliscor for Mamoswine it could be a potent offensive double weather threat

I suggest spinStarmie and LOMamoswine with EQ/IceShard/Blizzard/SR (Hes replacing gliscor)

Your choice though

Meh I actually think keeping heatran and adding them in would be better as it gives you more offense and some handy resists (as well as keeping the celetran combo)
