    Looking to build up my friend safari to be honest and I am trying to exchange with as many active people on the sight as possible, I played competitively in gen IV but I am pretty much starting from scratch now and I am slowly trying to build up my reputation for competitive play in Gen VI

    well I guess if you hated BW2, this will be a nice change of pace :0 I think suspect tests and their novelty had a lot to do with keeping late DPP interesting, but I might be wrong here. Let' hope that all my skepticism will end up as false alarms ;x

    I think they will. I don't have any evidence this is the case other than a "feeling", but from my experience those tend to be right. xD

    It's pretty obvious that Nintendo saw gen V as a fail in some manner, which is why they are overhauling to the point that they are... and I think they addressed most things correctly so far. But only time will tell.

    Don't get me wrong - I agree that much of the nerfs were sensible changes; Game Freak does care about the competitive scene

    However, they tried so hard not to power-creep their new mons that almost nothing really stands out. I can easily name 20 Pokemon in BW2 that were solidly OU in one point in time. In XY there's only Aegislash, Greninja, Hawlucha, and Florges that seems likely to be OU. There's very little incentive to use most of the new mons

    Hey, Articanus :] Long time no see, imo. I am looking forward to Game Freak revealing more new (Mega) Pokemon, because 69 new mons and 28 Mega mons dont cut it for me :0

    I don't mind the fact that we don't have as much pokemon to work with given a lot of sudden mechanics change, as well of the inclusion of an entire new type. It's gonna be very similar to gen IV when everyone had to get used to the physical/ special split... though not AS drastic. I just wish they had changed SR i.i

    I hope I'm wrong, but I predict XY to grow stale really quickly once we sort through the few suspect Mega Mons. Apart from the new Fairy-type and Steel re-typing, none of the other mechanic changes require much adjustment from BW2 IMHO
