Gourgeist-S is a very effective wallbreaker because of its great Speed stat, which lets it threaten NU staples like the Silvally formes, Rotom-F, and Toxicroak, and damage output combined with utility moves such as Will-O-Wisp and Explosion. Gourgeist-S also offers further utility by being a spinblocker and resisting Ground-, Grass-, and Water-type attacks while also being immune to Fighting-type attacks. Power Whip has notable offensive value, 2HKOing threats like Silvally-Dark and Rotom-F and even Pokemon that resist it like Togedemaru and Rapidash. Will-O-Wisp wears down common switch-ins like Garbodor, Silvally-Dragon, and Perrserker. Explosion is commonly used to remove checks like Drampa and Rotom-S or as a last ditch effort to do as much damage as possible to pave the way for your teammates and keeps up momentum. Although it has base 122 Defense, Gourgeist-S is still rather frail, so don't switch it in recklessly. For example, players must be wary of Knock Off when switching into Fighting-types like Toxicroak and Sawk.

Piloswine is a great partner for Gourgeist-S. It supports Gourgeist-S with Stealth Rock while also dealing with common Gourgeist-S checks like Garbodor, Ferroseed, and Eldegoss. In return, Gourgeist-S can act as a spinblocker to keep Stealth Rock up as long as possible while also threatening Water-types like Silvally-Water and Wishiwashi. Ice-types like the aforementioned Piloswine and Galarian Mr. Mime can get rid of Grass-, Flying-, and Dragon-types like Eldegoss, Butterfree, and Silvally-Dragon. Fire-types like Rapidash and Silvally-Fire greatly appreciate Gourgeist-S's ability to take on Ground- and Water-types like Sandaconda and Wishiwashi. Conversely, Gourgeist-S welcomes support of the aforementioned Fire-types tackling Grass- and Ice-types.

Gourgeist-S is the most offensive Gourgeist forme and is the fastest Grass-type in the tier. (I don't think these are particularly useful things to note unless you want to talk about how it being a fast Grass-type sets it apart from other Grass-types/wallbreakers) It boasts decent breaking power thanks to its new tool it got this generation, Power Whip. (Power Whip being new is pretty pointless to mention; I'd prefer that you note some damage rolls that showcase how strong it is) Due to its great speed tier, it can threaten NU staples like the multiple viable Silvally's, Rotom's Silvally formes, Rotom-F, Rotom-S, and Toxicroak. Although having a it has base 122 Defence Defense, Gourgeist-S is still rather frail so don't switch it in recklessly. (I think you could place this sentence in a better location, perhaps at the beginning of the next paragraph. Right now this paragraph has really odd flow though. I also think it'd be useful to maybe give a more specific comment about Gourgeist-S's lacking bulk, i.e. what can't it switch into that a player may be tempted to use it as a switch-in for?) (the highest ranked Bug-type is C+, so I don't think directly noting them there is worthwhile)
