Gourgeist-XL competes directly with threats such as Decidueye and Gourgeist-S for a teamslot due to their greater speed, especially with the latter outspeeding and targeting prominent Pokemon such as Rotom and Silvally-Ghost. However, Gourgeist-XL's greater power gives it a niche as a powerful wallbreaker with Choice Band equipped that can efficiently bust through Pokemon such as Eldegoss and Garbodor. Gourgeist-XL also has high physical bulk, which allows it to take a hit or two from the likes of Kangaskhan, Basculin, and Piloswine. In addition, Gourgeist-XL's STAB attacks only have a couple of viable Pokemon in Skuntank and Sap Sipper Miltank that resist or are immune to them. Shadow Sneak provides Gourgeist with powerful priority and allows it to serve as a revenge killer of weakened, faster threats like Froslass and Toxicroak. Trick cripples walls that Gourgeist-XL wants to annoy, such as Miltank and itemless Cofagrigus. Frisk is the preferred ability, as it allows Gourgeist-XL to scout for items and ensure that Poltergeist will not fail.

Gourgeist-XL fits well on balance and offensive teams that need a powerful wallbreaker that can support their late-game Pokemon by breaking down defensive cores. Gourgeist-XL's low Speed and special frailty mean that pivot support is excellent to have. This can take the form of a partner such as Rotom-F, Alolan Persian, or Togedemaru. Lanturn is a notable partner as well, as it has good type synergy with Gourgeist-XL and can shore up its mediocre special bulk. Gourgeist-XL has decent physical bulk, but it should not be relied upon as a team's main form of dealing with threats such as Kangaskhan and Golurk. Teammates that can take these threats on, such as Sandaconda, Garbodor, and Weezing, are very much appreciated as a result. The former two can also lay entry hazards to make Gourgeist-XL even harder to switch into. A fast teammate is beneficial to have, as Gourgeist-XL's access to Shadow Sneak is not quite enough to prevent its poor Speed tier from handicapping it. Choice Scarf Togedemaru and Sawk can clean after Gourgeist-XL deals with Weezing and Garbodor.

Gourgeist-XL competes directly with threats such as Decidueye and Gourgeist-S for a teamslot due to their greater Speed, as they are noticeably faster, have the ability to viably run physical and special moves, and, in Decidueye's case, has access to Swords Dance especially with the latter form targeting more threats like Rotom and Silvally-Ghost. (both gourgs could run fire blast if they wanted, so I didnt want to lump that trait together, and the main point here is the speed difference between the gourg formes that makes -S so much more viable than -XL) . However, Gourgeist-XL's immediate power gives it a niche as a powerful wallbreaker with Choice Band equipped. (move the bulk sentence here as you're still comparing it mostly to gourg-S) In addition, Gourgeist-XL's STABs attacks only have a couple of viable resists in Stuntank and Sap Sipper Miltank. Gourgeist-XL also has high physical bulk, which allows it to take a hit or two from the likes of Kangashkhan, Togedemaru, and Klinglang (see above). Shadow Sneak provides Gourgeist with powerful priority and allows it to serve as a revenge killer of weakened, faster threats like Rotom Froslass and Toxicroak (again just an example to differentiate it from -S, as -S doesn't always run sneak for faster stuff like lass). Trick can cripple walls that Gourgeist-XL wants to annoy, such as the aforementioned Miltank and itemless Cofagrigus. Frisk is the preferred ability, as it allows Gourgeist-XL to scout for items to ensure Poltergeist will not fail (Trick / Frisk is a decent countermeasure to itemless walls like cofag and eldegoss that spec that way specifically for gourg/ golurk, which is why i added those to the end of the previous two points)

Gourgeist-XL fits well on balance and offensive teams that need a powerful wallbreaker that can support their late game Pokemon by breaking down defensive cores. Gourgeist-XL's low Speed and special frailty means that pivot support is excellent to have. This can take the form of a partner such as Rotom-F, Parting Shot Alolan Persian, and Silvally-Steel (fluff, they're all pshot). Lanturn is a notable partner as well, as it has good type synergy with Gourgeist-XL and can shore up Gourgeist-XL's mediocre special bulk. Gourgeist-XL has decent physical bulk, but it should not be relied upon as a team's main form of dealing with threats such as Kangaskhan and Golurk. Teammates that can take these threats on, such as Sandaconda, Garbodor, and Weezing are very much appreciated as a result. The former two can also lay entry hazards to make Gourgeist-XL even harder to switch into. A form of speed control is a good thing to have, as Gourgeist-XL's access to Shadow Sneak is not quite enough to prevent its poor Speed tier from handicapping it. A choice Scarfer like Choice Scarf Togedemaru or Sawk is therefore a good teammate to have and clean after Gourgeist-XL deals with Weezing and Garbodor (shows quid pro quo, but also lists too walls that -XL can 2hko and -S doesn't, which need to be mentioned or the extra power from this form will come off as not worth it) .

QC 1/2!

However, Gourgeist-XL's immediate power gives it a niche as a powerful wallbreaker with Choice Band equipped.
Specify some Pokemon Gourgeist-XL can punch through that its competition struggles with.

Gourgeist-XL also has high physical bulk, which allows it to take a hit or two from the likes of Kangashkhan, Togedemaru, and Klinglang.
Togedemaru and Klinklang are weird mentions; the former isn't really something problematic to check, while the latter is just pretty irrelevant at the moment. Basculin and Piloswine would be better mentions; sure, using a Grass-type to check an Ice-type is a bit bleh, but you outspeed it, doink it with Power Whip, and can switch into any move bar Icicle Crash with ease.

In addition, Gourgeist-XL's STABs only have a couple of viable resists in Stuntank and Sap Sipper Miltank.
Sap Sipper Miltank is immune to Gourgeist-XL's STAB moves, not resistant.

Also fix the minor grammar edits Ho3n pointed out in addition to the several typos of Pokemon names. QC 2/2 when done.

However, Gourgeist-XL's immediate greater (those other wallbreakers don't exactly lack immediate power) power gives it a niche as a powerful wallbreaker with Choice Band equipped that can efficiently bust through Pokemon such as Eldegoss and Garbodor. This enables it to bust through Pokemon such as Weezing and Garbodor with greater efficiency. (Eldegoss > Weezing because it's at least slightly more difficult for Decidueye to get by) Gourgeist-XL also has high physical bulk, which allows it to take a hit or two from the likes of Kangaskhan, Basculin, and Piloswine. In addition, Gourgeist-XL's STAB attacks only have a couple of viable resists/immunities Pokemon in Skuntank and Sap Sipper Miltank that resist or are immune to them. Shadow Sneak provides Gourgeist with powerful priority and allows it to serve as a revenge killer of weakened, faster threats like Froslass and Toxicroak. Trick can cripple cripples walls that Gourgeist-XL wants to annoy, such as the aforementioned Miltank and itemless Cofagrigus. Frisk is the preferred ability, as it allows Gourgeist-XL to scout for items in order to and ("in order to" implies Frisk is run entirely for making sure Poltergeist goes off successfully) ensure that Poltergeist will not fail.

Gourgeist-XL fits well on balance and offensive teams that need a powerful wallbreaker that can support their late-game(AH) Pokemon by breaking down defensive cores. Gourgeist-XL's low Speed and special frailty means mean that pivot support is excellent to have. This can take the form of a partner such as Rotom-F, Alolan Persian, and or Silvally-Steel. Lanturn is a notable partner as well, as it has good type synergy with Gourgeist-XL and can shore up Gourgeist-XL's its mediocre special bulk. Gourgeist-XL has decent physical bulk, but it should not be relied upon as a team's main form of dealing with threats such as Kangaskhan and Golurk. Teammates that can take these threats on, such as Sandaconda, Garbodor, and Weezing,(AC) are very much appreciated as a result. The former two can also lay entry hazards to make Gourgeist-XL even harder to switch into. Choice Scarf Togedemaru or Sawk is therefore a good teammate to have and that can clean after Gourgeist-XL deals with Weezing and Garbodor.
