Due to its ability to boost its stats with Bulk Up as well as its access to semi-reliable recovery in Drain Punch, Grapploct can function as a solid wincon on balance teams while also being able to check physical attackers such as Morpeko. Brutal Swing allows Grapploct to hit Psychic- and Ghost-types such as Musharna and Gourgeist, whereas Sucker Punch gives it the ability to hit faster Pokemon such as Boltund as well as deal with offensive teams in general. The given HP and Defense investment lets Grapploct avoid the 2HKO from Life Orb Drednaw's Liquidation after Stealth Rock, while the Special Defense EVs let it take Modest Choice Specs Glaceon's Ice Beam after Stealth Rock.

Psychic-types such as Mr. Rime, Beheeyem, and Galarian Rapidash can handle Poison-types like Mareanie for Grapploct, while they in turn appreciate Grapploct's ability to handle Dark-types like Morpeko. Morpeko in turn aids Grapploct in dealing with Ghost- and Psychic-types, which Grapploct can struggle against while Beheeyem can provide slow momentum for Grapploct with Teleport. Entry hazard support from Pokemon such as Roselia and Stunfisk further aid Grapploct in wearing down foes. Fairy-types such as Galarian Rapidash and Shiinotic are difficult for Grapploct to deal with as well, so Pokemon such as Roselia, Drednaw, Mawile, and Pawniard makes for decent partners. Mawile and Pawniard also provides Knock Off support to weaken bulkier Pokemon such as Mareanie that can be problematic for Grapploct to handle. Healing Wish support from Pokemon such as Mr. Mime and Galarian Rapidash can provide Grapploct with a second chance to sweep.

Due to its ability to boost its stats with Bulk Up as well as access to (semi-reliable) recovery in Drain Punch, Grapploct can function as a solid wincon on balance teams while also being able to check physical attackers such as Stonjourner and Golurk. Brutal Swing allows Grapploct to hit Psychic-types such as Musharna and Beheeyem whereas Sucker Punch gives it the ability to hit faster Pokemon such as Manectric. (mention some silvally form)(mention how prio gives it a better match up against more offensive teams) The given HP and Defense investment lets Grapploct take a Life Orb Play Rough from Rapidash-G after Stealth Rock (does brutal swing + sucker kill after life orb recoil?) while the Special Defense EVs lets it take a Modest Choice Specs Glaceon Ice Beam after Stealth Rock.

Psychic-types such as Mr. Rime and Musharna appreciate Grapploct's ability to handle Dark-types like Thievul. Conversely, Dark-types such as Thievul and Pawniard appreciate Grapploct's ability to check opposing Fighting-types such as Falinks as well as other physical attackers like Stonjourner and Golurk. Fairy-types such as Shiinotic and Togetic are difficult for Grapploct to deal with so Pokemon such as Roselia, Stonjourner, Mawile, and Pawniard makes for decent partners. Roselia and Stonjourner can also set Spikes and Stealth Rock respectively, further aiding Grapploct. Dark-types such as the aforementioned Pawniard and Thievul aid Grapploct in dealing with Ghost- and Psychic-types which Grapploct can struggle against. Silvally-Bug can also weaken Psychic-types for Grapploct while also providing momentum for it with U-Turn.

mention tspikes support
mention stuff that deals with gourgeist-xl, it usually just burns you and bulky poison-types in general
mention beheyeem; it brings in grapploct in safely against walls like type: null and klang thanks to teleport
mention healing wish support from the likes of mr. mime and galarian rapidash

(here too)
This set aims to turn Grapploct into a effective Assault Vest user, allowing it to switch into special attackers such as Manectric and Glaceon thanks to its decent special bulk and ability to recover health with Drain Punch. Brutal Swing is a must to allow Grapploct to hit Psychic- (and ghost-)types such as Mr. Rime (mention some ghost-type here) while Sucker Punch bypasses Grapploct's low Speed to allow it to hit faster Pokemon such as Raichu. Power-Up Punch is used to give Grapploct some extra power behind its attacks, (does this help it achieve any notable calc?) but Ice Punch can be used instead to do damage to Pokemon such as Shiinotic and Togetic. Maximum investment is thrown into Grapploct's HP and Special Defense stats to allow it to take hits better form Pokemon such as Mr. Rime and Glaceon with an Adamant nature used to allow Grapploct to hit as hard as possible. (fluff. maybe a line about why ada > careful or smth)(mention running a spread with enough speed for mawile, and u can even go higher for type: null but explain why you shouldn't)

Psychic-types such as Mr. Rime and Beheeyem appreciate Grapploct's ability to handle Dark-types like Pawniard. Mr. Rime can also provide Rapid Spin support for Grapploct as it can easily be worn down by entry hazards making it less effective as a special tank. Dark-types such as Pawniard and Thievul aid Grapploct in dealing with Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Gourgeist and Musharna which Grapploct can struggle against. Fairy-types such as Mawile and Shiinotic also gives Grapploct trouble, so responses to them such as Golurk and Roselia makes for good partners. As this set is geared more toward checking special attackers, Physically defensive Pokemon such as Mawile and Shiinotic can help take on strong physical attackers such as Falinks and Golurk (except both of these beat mawile and shiinotic, so i'd go with other examples) while benefitting from Grapploct dealing with Pokemon such as Mr. Rime and Glaceon.

mention spikes setters like rose
grapp can be pretty easy to overwhelm, so having a healing wish user is appreciated

(grapploct is 2hkoed by life orb cc, so id mention a different fighting-type like throh that it checks more reliably. 252 Atk Life Orb Falinks Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 188 Def Grapploct: 191-226 (52.4 - 62%) -- 98.4% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery.) Fairy-types such as Shiinotic and Togetic are difficult for Grapploct to deal with as well so Pokemon such as Roselia, Stonjourner, Mawile, and Pawniard makes for decent partners. Roselia and Stonjourner can also set Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rock respectively, further aiding Grapploct. (mention that pawn abuses togetic's defog; cripples things like mareanie with knock off; and how mawile cripples bulky things like shiinotic with toxic/knock too) Dark-types such as the aforementioned Pawniard and Thievul aid Grapploct in dealing with Ghost- and Psychic-types (such as?) which Grapploct can struggle against. Silvally-Bug can also weaken Psychic-types for Grapploct while also providing momentum for it with U-Turn. (brutal swing isnt a must for mr. rime since you beat it with drain punch already. mention a bulkier psychic-type like beheeyem here) Ice Punch is Grapploct's best move to do damage to Pokemon such as Shiinotic and Togetic, however Circle Throw can be used instead to phaze opponents out. (mention pokemon that it would want to phaze out, like dubwool, etc) Power-Up Punch is another option to add some extra power to allow it to break past physical walls such as Stunfisk. Grapploct's EVs is maximized into its HP and Special Defense to allow it to take hits better form (from) Pokemon such as Mr. Rime and Glaceon with an Adamant nature used to enable Grapploct to hit hard despite its lack of Attack investment.

Psychic-types such as Mr. Rime and Beheeyem appreciate Grapploct's ability to handle Dark-types like Pawniard. Mr. Rime can also provide Rapid Spin support for Grapploct as it can easily be worn down by entry hazards making it less effective as a special tank as well as dealing with Pokemon such as Shiinotic and Mareanie whereas Beheeyem can provide Grapploct with slow momentum with Teleport. Other pivots such as Silvally-Bug can also aid Grapploct in handling Psychic-types such as Mr. RIme and Silvally-Psychic. (silv bug also removes entry hazards and lures mareanie with +2 psychic fangs) Dark-types such as Pawniard and Thievul aid Grapploct in dealing with Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Gourgeist and Musharna which Grapploct can struggle against. Fairy-types such as Mawile and Shiinotic also gives Grapploct trouble, so responses to them such as Golurk and Roselia makes for good partners. (mention that roselia also sets spikes/tspikes and generally pairs well with it, especially if its using circle throw) As this set is geared more toward checking special attackers, Physically defensive Pokemon such as Mawile and Shiinotic can help take on strong physical attackers such as Falinks and Golurk while benefitting from Grapploct dealing with Pokemon such as Mr. Rime and Glaceon.

Brutal Swing allows Grapploct to hit Psychic-types such as Musharna and Beheeyem, (AC) whereas Sucker Punch gives it the ability to hit faster Pokemon such as Manectric and Silvally-Psychic as well as giving Grapploct to deal with offensive teams in general. The given HP and Defense investment lets Grapploct avoid the 2HKO from Life Orb Stonjourner's Heat Crash after Stealth Rock, (AC) while the Special Defense EVs lets let it take a Modest Choice Specs Glaceon's Ice Beam after Stealth Rock.

Psychic-types such as Mr. Rime, Beheeyem, and Musharna can handle Poison-types like Gloom and Mareanie for Grapploct, (AC) while they in turn appreciate Grapploct's ability to handle Dark-types like Thievul. Beheeyem can also provide slow momentum for Grapploct with Teleport. Pokemon Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rock setters such as Roselia and Stonjourner can set Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rock respectively, further aiding Grapploct in wearing down foes. Conversely, Dark-types such as Thievul and Pawniard appreciate Grapploct's ability to check opposing Fighting-types such as Throh as well as other physical attackers like Stonjourner. Pawniard and Thievul in turn aid Grapploct in dealing with Ghost- and Psychic-types, (AC) which Grapploct can struggle against. Fairy-types such as Shiinotic and Togetic are difficult for Grapploct to deal with as well, (AC) so Pokemon such as Roselia, Stonjourner, Mawile, and Pawniard makes for decent partners. Pawniard and Mawile can switch into Togetic attempting to Defog away hazards and threaten it out with Iron Head, (AC) whereas Pawniard can also grab a Defiant boost against Shiinotic going for Strength Sap. These two also provides Knock Off support to weaken bulkier Pokemon such as Mareanie that can be problematic for Grapploct to handle. Silvally-Bug can also weaken Psychic-types for Grapploct while also providing momentum for it with U-turn. [SET COMMENTS]
This set aims to turn Grapploct into a effective Assault Vest user, (something more descriptive like tank or w/e is appropriate would be preferable if possible) allowing it to switch into special attackers such as Manectric and Glaceon thanks to its decent special bulk and ability to recover health with Drain Punch. Brutal Swing is a must to allow Grapploct to hit Psychic- and Ghost-types such as Musharna and Gourgeist, (AC) while Sucker Punch bypasses Grapploct's low Speed to allow it to hit faster Pokemon such as Raichu. Ice Punch is Grapploct's best move to do damage to Pokemon such as Shiinotic and Togetic; (SC) however, (AC) Circle Throw can be used instead to phaze bossting boosting sweepers such as Dubwool out. Power-Up Punch is another option to add some extra power to allow it to break past physical walls such as Stunfisk. The HP and Special Defense investment alongside a Careful nature and Assault Vest lets Grapploct avoid the 2HKO from Modest Choice Specs Glaceon's Ice Beam after Stealth Rock.

Psychic-types such as Mr. Rime and Beheeyem appreciate Grapploct's ability to handle Dark-types like Pawniard. Mr. Rime can also provide Rapid Spin support and can deal with Pokemon such as Shiinotic and Mareanie for Grapploct, (AC) whereas Beheeyem can provide Grapploct with slow momentum with Teleport. Other pivots such as Silvally-Bug can also aid Grapploct in handling Psychic-types such as Mr. Rime and Silvally-Psychic. Sd Swords Dance variants can also lure in Poison-types such as Mareanie and take them out with Psychic Fangs. Dark-types such as Pawniard and Thievul aid Grapploct in dealing with Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Gourgeist and Musharna, (AC) which Grapploct can struggle against. Fairy-types such as Mawile and Shiinotic also gives Grapploct trouble, so responses to them such as Roselia makes for good partners. Roselia can also provide entry hazard support with either Spikes or Toxic Spikes, (AC) which is especially useful if Grapploct is using Circle Throw. As this set is geared more toward checking special attackers, physically defensive Pokemon such as Mawile and Shiinotic can help to take on strong physical attackers such as Falinks and Golurk while benefitting benefiting from Grapploct dealing with Pokemon such as Mr. Rime and Glaceon.

Due to its ability to boost its stats with Bulk Up as well as its access to semi-reliable recovery in Drain Punch, Grapploct can function as a solid wincon on balance teams while also being able to check physical attackers such as Drednaw and Dusknoir. (i don't like these mentions; band poltergeist 2hkoes and +2 life orb liquidation from drednaw does way too much for grapp to be considered a good check) Brutal Swing allows Grapploct to hit Psychic-types (and ghost-types) such as Musharna and Beheeyem, whereas Sucker Punch gives it the ability to hit faster Pokemon such as Manectric (not a fan of this example in the current meta, especially when most of the time mane is just gonna click switcheroo) and Boltund as well as deal with offensive teams in general. The given HP and Defense investment lets Grapploct avoid the 2HKO from Life Orb Drednaw's Liquidation after Stealth Rock, while the Special Defense EVs let it take Modest Choice Specs Glaceon's Ice Beam (is this even still relevant? i'd rather invest for smth like lilli cm blim) after Stealth Rock. (bring up running taunt - beating stall / mare is p nice)

Psychic-types such as Mr. Rime, Beheeyem, and Gapidash (galarian rapidash) can handle Poison-types like Mareanie for Grapploct, while they in turn appreciate Grapploct's ability to handle Dark-types like Pawniard (and peko). Beheeyem can also provide slow momentum for Grapploct with Teleport. Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rock setters such as Roselia and Stunfisk further aid Grapploct in wearing down foes. (mention spikes too, they allow u to potentially clean with boosted sucker punches lategame) Conversely, Dark-types such as Pawniard appreciate Grapploct's ability to check (does it? im p sure flame orb throh / subbu throh wins the 1v1 if it's running storm throw) opposing Fighting-types such as Throh as well as other physical attackers like Klinklang. (the two most relevant dark-types (and the only good ones) beat klink, so mention smth else here) Pawniard in turn aid Grapploct in dealing with Ghost- and Psychic-types, which Grapploct can struggle against. Fairy-types such as Gapidash (check above) and Shiinotic are difficult for Grapploct to deal with as well, so Pokemon such as Roselia, Drednaw, Mawile, and Pawniard makes for decent partners. (galardash really isn't that big of an issue, and none of these examples beat it) Pawniard can grab a Defiant boost against Shiinotic going for Strength Sap. (pawniard was mentioned a lot of times while not being that relevant. try to bring this point up earlier. this is also p risky to do bc of spore, and idt it's relevant enough to bother mentioning. anyway, try to change some of the pawn mentions) Mawile and Pawniard also provides Knock Off support to weaken bulkier Pokemon such as Mareanie that can be problematic for Grapploct to handle. Healing Wish support from Pokemon such as Mr. Mime and Gapidash (again) can provide Grapploct with a second chance to sweep.
