Thanks to my tutor, Ray Jay for helping me get this far :D
Introduction
The first thing you will have noticed about this RMT is its extremely bizarre title, and believe it or not there is a legitimate reason for it. A little while back Prem had introduced me to the video: Fukkireta 10 hours and said that for a 10 hour video it was actually enjoyable. I listened to it an found it catchy, but I would never have the patience to actually listen to the whole thing in one sitting so I only listened to it at random intervals. While on IRC, the topic of Fukkireta came up with Soviet and I pointed out what I found to be random lyrics in the song: "Grilled food is only good for one day, kick reason to the curb and follow me." Soviet told me that he actually thought that the line had a deep meaning, and after noticing it I quickly erased all of my Winter and Hail puns I had planned for the title and settled with this. The line actually does have a deeper meaning than what it might seem, meaning that good things don't last long. This is the way that I felt about my team and my time spend with the BW LC metagame, as short as it was. With BW2 being right around the corner, my team might be be quite as viable anymore along with the changes some Pokemon gained from move tutors and DW abilities. (Superpower Axew and Marvel Scale DDratini :O) This reflects the saying pretty nicely and all I have left to say is that grilled food is only good for one day, so let's make the best out of it!
The Team
The Pokemon is based the team on, Snover, is the star of the show. I wanted to make the team based on it due to it being a fantastic user of Choice Scarf, having excellent dual STAB in Grass and Ice, while providing the Hail that allows it to abuse 100% accurate Blizzards. Of course a Pokemon is nothing without the proper support and my team gives tons of it to Snover. With Bronzor and Staryu in charge of providing and removing Stealth Rock, respectively, Snover can cause havoc thanks to being able to switch in as much as it wants while dealing good damage even with a resisted hit thanks to Stealth Rock and Hail damage. Croagunk, Houndour, Misdreavus provide offensive synergy in case Snover is caught being locked into the wrong move, while taking care of dangerous Pokemon such as Mienfoo and Misdreavus. I feel that this team provides a decent playing field for Snover to freely unleash its nuclear Blizzards, and that is what I intended from the start.

The LC ladder was very inactive during the time I started playing (about 3 weeks or so lol) so my peak isn't nearly as good as other RMTs such as Soviet and Blara's Shell Ya Later! or Ray Jay's (My tutor :P) We like pi!, but hopefully my format will make for it :>

"Ice King" The Snover ---Premier Grass-type and Revenge Killer
/
@ Choice Scarf
~EVs: 36 HP / 24 Atk / 184 SpAtk / 36 SpD / 200 Spe
~IVs: 30 Def / 30 SpAtk / 30 Spe (HP Fire)
~Nature: Hasty (+Spe -Def) ~Ability: Snow Warning
23 HP / 13 Atk / 9 Def / 15 SpAtk / 13 SpD / 14 (21) Spe
- Blizzard / Giga Drain / Hidden Power [Fire] / Ice Shard
Snover is the star of the show and the Pokemon that this team was based on. Thanks to its great speed and power it makes an excellent Choice Scarf user and a potent revenge killer. Snover's Snow Warning does more than just make Snover's Blizzard 100% accurate, as it hampers the recovery of Pokemon reliant on Synthesis and Morning Sun such as Shroomish, Foongus, Chikorita, Ponyta and Larvesta. Along with SR and Hail's passive damage, Blizzard can soundly 2HKO Larvesta and put Ponyta in a situation that if it is forced out by a teammate, it won't be able to come into Snover again. While Snover already beats the Synthesis users, if for some reason Snover ends up going down limiting their healing would helps my teammates out tremendously. Snover also provides a reliable way of dealing with Chinchou and Staryu as even the bulkiest of Chinchou and Staryu cannot avoid the 2HKO from Giga Drain thanks to Hail's violent buffeting, while dealing negligible damage back to Snover. Not to mention that Scarf Snover along with Bronzor prevent my team from getting annihilated against one of the biggest threats in LC, Drillbur. Snover is just an excellent Pokemon in every right, and don't be discouraged by Bronzor's high usage, Hail will wear it down and any of its attempts to get Stealth Rock up is thwarted by Staryu. Not to mention that Snover does have Hidden Power Fire, which 3HKOes Bronzor and deals a massive 72% minimum to Ferroseed. Along with Staryu, Snover also helps me get past Frillish so that I can spin past it, while also having excellent synergy with team. EV spread is different from the onsite spread for two reasons 13 Atk Ice Shard deals the same damage as with 14 Atk. These extra EVs also allow for Snover to boost its bulk slightly in the important HP stat for it to have an odd HP number to come in an extra time on Stealth Rock, and an extra point in Special Defensive to help buffer its ability to switch into common special attackers. As an example of Ice Shard's worth it allows for Snover to 2HKO LO Murkrow who is inclined to Sucker Punch to prevent getting nuked by a Blizzard. Thanks to Scarf it will outprioritize Sucker Punch and make it fail and allow it to score a very reliable 2HKO against one of LC's biggest annoyances.
"Vaseline" The Croagunk ---Priority Abuser and Bulky Pivot
/
@ Eviolite
~EVs: 132 HP / 28 Atk / 116 Def / 108 SpAtk / 116 SpD
~Nature: Quiet (+SpAtk -Spe) ~Ability: Dry Skin
23 HP / 13 Atk / 12 (18) Def / 15 SpAtk / 12 (18) SpD / 9 Spe
- Fake Out (Knock Off thanks to BW2) / Vacuum Wave / Drain Punch / Shadow Ball
Courtesy of Croagunk's excellent typing, it provides excellent synergy with the rest of the team while being an amazing pivot to Pokemon that threaten or check Snover such as Scraggy, Mienfoo, Tirtouga, Ferroseed, Porygon, Timburr, Dwebble, Pawniard, and Munchlax. With great priority options in Fake Out and Vacuum Wave along with the ever so useful Drain Punch, Croagunk lures in Ghost-type Pokemon such as Misdreavus to try to come in and take the hits. This where Shadow Ball comes in to ruin even Defensive Misdreavus's day as a Shadow Ball cleanly 2HKOes Misdreavus with the help of Snover's Hail backing it up. This ability to lure such a common Pokemon as Misdreavus gives Staryu a much easier time trying to get off a Rapid Spin or to come in and Check a weakened Misdreavus. Again the EV spread for Croagunk is different than the onsite spread with mine giving Croagunk 23 HP and 12 Def rather than 24 HP and 11 Def. An odd HP number lets Croagunk take less damage from Spikes and Hail allowing it to more reliably handle Ferroseed. On another hand having an even number for its Defense value works much better for Eviolite and makes Croagunk a much better check to Scraggy, Tirtouga, Mienfoo, Timburr, and Pawniard. Pokemon that Croagunk can tend to struggle with include Slowpoke, Bronzor, Larvesta, and Murkrow. Staryu and Snover can easily threaten these Pokemon with their powerful attacks or in Staryu's case take its freedom to get off a free Rapid Spin. In all honesty Croagunk is my favorite Fighting-type in LC, as I like it even more than Mienfoo. Its excellent typing makes it a great switch in to many Pokemon and its attacking options are excellent and always an asset to any team. If BW2 doesn't destroy my team's viability I am thinking of replacing Fake Out with Knock Off thanks to BW2 Tutors making the combination of Drain Punch and Knock Off legal.
"Starajan" The Staryu ---Premier Water-type and Rapid Spin User
@ Eviolite
~EVs: 136 HP / 196 SpAtk / 236 Spe
~Nature: Timid (+Spe -Atk) ~Ability: Natural Cure
20 HP / 9 Atk / 12 (18) Def / 16 SpAtk / 12 (18) SpD / 19 Spe
- Rapid Spin / Recover / Hydro Pump / Thunderbolt
Staryu is simply the best Rapid Spin user that LC has to offer to non-Sand teams as only Drillbur really gives it a run for its money. With great bulk, nice resistances, and ability to Rapid Spin Staryu makes a great partner to both Snover and Croagunk who don't appreciate hazards or Fire-type attacks being thrown at them. However it doesn't just take Fire-type moves it can also devastate these users thanks to its amazing speed, good power, and great coverage in Hydro Pump and Thunderbolt. Thanks to the help of Snover and Croagunk softening up threats such as Frillish and Misdreavus, Staryu can come in and finish them off to gain an opportunity to Rapid Spin. Of course Snover resists Grass- and Electric-type attacks aimed at Staryu from Pokemon such as Shroomish or Chinchou and can attack back with powerful Blizzards or Giga Drains. Dragon-type Pokemon that try to set up on Staryu such as Dratini are easily wore down by Hail, Snover's Ice Shard, and Croagunk's Fake Out + Vacuum Wave combination. The nickname goes a while back from when I made a team where the Pokemon were named after users on Smogon. I had a Pokemon who was always getting critted or simple getting the raw end of the deal all the time. I decided to name this Pokemon after Blara for laughs and randomly noticed that the name gave it a sort of protection against hax. Ever since then, naming a Pokemon after Blarajan actually has helped me a lot; Staryu has never missed a Hydro Pump ever since I changed the name. What can I say Starajan has 20/20 vision, especially when compared to my other Staryu, Patrick. >:(
"Blitzkrieg" The Houndour ---Premier Fire-type and Pursuit trapper
/
@ Eviolite
~EVs: 36 Atk / 196 SpAtk / 36 SpD / 236 Spe
~Nature: Hasty (+Spe -Def) ~Ability: Flash Fire
21 HP / 13 Atk / 8 (12) Def / 17 SpAtk / 12 (18) SpD / 17 Spe
- Fire Blast / Sucker Punch / Dark Pulse / Pursuit
In my opinion, Blitzkrieg is the perfect nickname for a Houndour as it describes so well its best qualities. Blitzkrieg was Nazi Germany's war tactic that involved fast and powerful assaults to overpower the enemy before they could fight back. Thanks to Houndour's great speed, excellent dual STABs, and good mixed stats it is just that; a powerful force that breaks down opponent's walls without a sweat. Cores such as Ferroseed + Frillish/Slowpoke or Bronzor + Misdreavus are utterly destroyed while, with the help of Stealth Rock, even a sturdy core such as Hippopotas + Timburr + Vullaby will have trouble switching in. Thanks to its great typing and Flash Fire that make it capable of safely switching into Defensive Misdreavus, Pursuit is one of the best moves I could have chosen. Dark Pulse + Pursuit will take down any Misdreavus while Pursuit deals a massive 65% on the switch. The situation to take down a Misdreavus is usually safe as even those with Hidden Power Fighting only have a slight 1/16th chance to 2HKO. Offensive Misdreavus on the other hand can't kill with a Life Orb boosted HP Fighting without Stealth Rock, making Houndour an effective trapped. Even at low health Houndour still has merit against Offensive Misdreavus as after Stealth Rock, Sucker Punch will slaughter Missy. Even with its excellent coverage and power, the bulky Fighting-type Pokemon that LC is known for make excellent checks to Houndour. Mienfoo, Scraggy, Timburr, and Croagunk can all check it at full health and retaliate with a Drain Punch or in Scraggy's case even set up on it. Thankfully Croagunk along with Misdreavus deal very nicely with all of these Pokemon while Hail slowly wears them down possibly making a difference. This was originally a Numel, but thanks to my tutor Ray Jay, who recommended me Houndour, I changed it and never looked back. Houndour's typing, Flash Fire, bulk, Pursuit, and priority made my team a lot better than it was before with Numel and added another welcome addition to the team.
"BlackSabbath" The Bronzor ---Stealth Rock user and Mixed Wall
/
@ Eviolite
~EVs: 220 HP / 8 Atk / 68 Def / 8 SpAtk / 148 SpD / 12 Spe
~Nature: Careful (+SpD -SpAtk) ~Ability: Levitate
25 HP / 9 Atk / 16 (24) Def / 8 SpAtk / 18 (27) SpD / 9 Spe
- Stealth Rock / Toxic / Earthquake / Flash Cannon
Bronzor is one of the most reliable Stealth Rock users in the B/W metagame and unlike Dwebble will always last long in matches to pull its weight. Bronzor is my main switch into many threats such as Murkrow, Drilburr, Snover, and others and thanks to its fantastic typing has many opportunities to set up Stealth Rock. It's main weakness is how weak Bronzor actually is, but thanks to Toxic and the frailty of the many offensive Pokemon that it walls it usually isn't too big of a deal. Earthquake and Flash Cannon have excellent coverage together and allows me to deal with Croagunk, Murkrow, Gastly, Drilbur, and Snover all at the same time without a sweat. Unlike the ambiguous Metang that is being used to troll certain metagames, Bronzor actually does more than just lay up Stealth Rock. While they share the same amazing typing, Bronzor has Levitate and is in a metagame where its typing has many uses. In every match Bronzor's defensive capabilities can be used to at the very least wall one Pokemon on enemy teams or act as an effective pivot to allow my more offensive Pokemon a safer switch in. Not having Psychic does kind of open me a little to Fighting-type Pokemon such as Mienfoo, Timburr, and Scraggy, but thanks to Croagunk and Misdreavus I usually don't have to worry too much about it. Bronzor in general has great synergy with the rest of my team thanks to the fact that it is immune to Ground-type attacks while actually resisting Rock-type moves.
"Missy" The Misdreavus ---Spinblocker and Late Game Sweeper
@ Life Orb
~EVs: 36 HP / 40 Def / 160 SpAtk / 240 Spe
~IVs: 30 Def / 30 SpAtk / 30 SpD / 30 Spe (HP Fighting)
~Nature: Timid (+Spe -Atk) ~Ability: Levitate
23 HP / 10 Atk / 13 Def / 17 SpAtk / 15 SpD / 19 Spe
- Nasty Plot / Destiny Bond / Shadow Ball / Hidden Power [Fighting]
Last, but not least we have Misdreavus. Missy's Levitate and Ghost-typing make it an excellent choice for my team, being immune to Ground- and Fighting-type moves that my Croagunk, Houndour, and Snover hate. An offensive Life Orb set seems weird due to this Misdreavus being used in Hail, but I felt that my team wasn't really offensive enough and needed a set up sweeper. Nothing could fit the bill better than Nasty Plot Misdreavus and I've never looked back. It's excellent coverage, speed, and power are an incredible asset and never disappoint. Late game Misdreavus can easily find the time to set up with it's many resistances and ability to wall the omnipresent Mienfoo and easily sweep a weakened team. Earlier game Misdreavus still makes a great check to Mienfoo and can punch huge holes in enemy teams to sweep them later in the match. Destiny Bond might seem extremely random and gimmicky, but it gives me a weapon against Murkrow that can try and check my Missy at +2. Not only does Destiny Bond evade Sucker Punch from Murkrow or other Pokemon such as Croagunk, but it puts the opposing Pokemon in a position where it either sacrifices itself or it switches out and lets something else take a +2 hit. Not to mention that Destiny Bond can help against random bulky threats that I have no chance of beating if I let them set up too much or lose an important check or counter to it such as RestTalk Calm Mind Bronzor or RestTalk Curse Lickitung. Destiny Bond is great as nobody really expects it from Misdreavus and the besy possible option I could have chosen as I play conservative with Missy and by time I keep out for longer than a few turns it'll be at +2 and would rather sweep through a team than take its time to Pain Split.
