My copy came yesterday and I am headlong into the second case. Holy shit this game is so good. It was definitely worth importing to get it two months early; besides, I'll buy the official Stateside release when it comes out, too. That's what I did with GS2. Being the series vet/fan that I am (bought the first PW back when it first came out), it's really great to see actual large-scale interest in the series starting to crop up- my guess is it's thanks to Capcom's promotion of Justice for All.

Any other GS/AA fans here? I know someone is around here, I saw the Godochu avatar.
 
i am. are there any bonuses coming with the imported version? i usually wait for the english version though. i guess that's just me. i go to court-records a lot as well, so i hate to admit that i've spoiled myself to a certain extent.

I've spoiled a lot of stuff for myself too; it's okay. The real fun comes from playing the game.

My import came with the cool alternate cover inserts for the DS games... a picture of which may be floating around the CR forums; I don't know. I would take a pic but I don't have any batteries for my camera right now.

I've been always wanting to get into this series. But I heard Justice For All was a bit lacking, and not as good as the first. Is the 3rd better, or worse than the first?
 
Half the fun (ok a small part) of this game is the amusing pop references (fresh clown of bel air in PW2 had me in stitches), which the Japanese translation will most likely omit.

Can't wait for it to be released in america though :o

Or two months, I dunno. I have a feeling that an imported version will be filled with Japanese pop culture that I won't get :/.

The translation is really good, other than a few typos... just like the second. Apparently this time they'll be fixing those up for the official NA release.

Also, you could import it and then buy the NA version as well. That's what I'm doing.


@Wish Hax: meh, it depends on your taste. I liked GS2 just as much as I liked the first. It only seems lacking because there's less in the way of serious plot development and it has four cases (which was the same with the original GS1; they added a fifth for the DS version). The third is considered the best.

@Danigi: it's the same translation that'll be used in the NA version, other than some (possibly) minor grammatical edits.
 
@Firestorm and Dances with Ninjas: awww :( You really should import it. It's not coming out for almost another two months...
 
Oh I loved this game a lot. I've played all the cases twice :x

The fifth case is simply amazing.

And Viola was damn creepy.
