Hello everyone! We are pleased to announce that manager signups for the first edition of the Hackmons Cup Premier League are now open. If you would like to manage, please read the following details before signing up.
  • There will be 6 teams and each team will have a manager and co-manager.
  • Managers are required to participate in the auction to draft their players.
  • Managers will have a budget of 100k and can purchase themselves for their teams for 13.5k if they desire to do so.
    • Co-managers can also be purchased for the same price as managers (13.5k)
    • All manager purchases must be sent to the hosts (Test Rex Electra102) before the draft, and all of them will be announced in the second post of this thread.
  • Managers are responsible for their team's behaviour. Make sure members of your team are abiding by the rules and remain active.
  • Managers are expected to facilitate substitutions when necessary.
If you can commit for the next two months or so, go ahead and sign up with your prospective team name. Managers will be decided within one week, after 4th May at 23:59 GMT -4.

(Briefly explain any experience/reasoning for why you think you'd be a good pick): I don't have managerial experience but I'm chronically online enough to have a good knowledge on a large chunk of the player base while also having good results on ladder and the most recent Hackmons Open as well. I also bring the energy and I'm sure my potential co-manager will do the same (and they might obtain the managerial experience that I lack)

I've both hosted and managed in team tours, and I won the only time I managed (full disclosure - it was a pokemmo tour in 2014. still a glorious run). Importantly, both when I hosted and managed, those were tours that utilized an auction, which is a really tricky method for selecting a team. If you're not careful and don't have a game plan, you can be in huge trouble. I won't have any issues with that - as a former st louis rams fan, ive seen far too often what a bad draft/auction can do to a franchise

More recently, hackmons is the only tier I play, and I've been drafted as a starter the last 5 rbtts. I log a lot of games on the ladder (apologies if I've timed out while facing you - my boss loves walking in as soon as I queue). Betweeen RBTT and ladder, I've seen a ton of fantastic players in this format and feel that I'm well suited for evaluating talent and putting together a successful team. My co-man, rabbit13, is the ultimate vibes player who, even though only somewhat recently picking up hc, has already appeared at the highest stages and held their own against the best competition (started HC in the most recent RBTT finals!). We make a strong duo!

Me and Hats captained the World Cup of Pokemon last year, acheiving the best performance ever seen by qualifying to the main event, this year we're still leading the team, and we're looking for new challenges as like this tour ! Moreover we've been dedicated in the Rands community, we played both twice for Africope in WCOR and twice in RBEL. We are looking forward to manage a team and give our best.

Since I was captain of three editions in another social tournament (LJDA) I have some managing experience (also with EPL and WCOP) and my co captain has a lot of knowledge and very nice records on rand tournaments, we consider ourselves capable of leading a team for this tournament
