This is my first attempt at an LC team and I have yet to try it out.
Snover @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Snow Warning
EVs: 100 Atk / 184 SAtk / 224 Spd
Naive Nature
- Blizzard
- Giga Drain
- Ice Shard
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Snover is an obvious staple on any hail team. Snow Warning will set infinite hail on the field to set my team up. Choice Scarf will let it outspeed threats like Drillbur and HP Fire lets it take down Steel-types.
Clamperl @ DeepSeaTooth
Trait: Rattled
EVs: 76 HP / 252 SAtk / 180 Spd
Timid Nature
- Shell Smash
- Surf
- Blizzard
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Clamperl can lay out Fire-type threats with Surf as well as utilize the accuracy boost given to Blizzard.
Smoochum @ Choice Specs
Trait: Forewarn
EVs: 156 HP / 252 SAtk / 100 Spd
Modest Nature
- Blizzard
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Psychic
- Trick
Smoochum can take out Mienfoo with Psychic, who would otherwise wall Snover and Clamperl. Trick will disable many opposing strategies.
Seel @ Eviolite
Trait: Ice Body
EVs: 214 HP / 196 SDef / 100 Def
Bold Nature
- Blizzard
- Substitute
- Hail
- Aqua Ring
I was excited about using Seel on this team as I am a HUGE fan of 1st gen. Ice Body and Aqua Ring combo can turn into him into a very nice wall. Hail can reinstate my strategy if anything were to happen to Snover and an opponent changed the weather on me.
Swinub @ Life Orb
Trait: Snow Cloak
EVs: 116 HP / 196 Atk / 196 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Stealth Rock
I added Swinub to get away from the Special moves that the Ice type is generally associated with. Stealth Rock is a convenient entry hazard to set and Earthquake can remove any Fire types that got past Clamperl.
Frillish @ Eviolite
Trait: Cursed Body
EVs: 236 HP / 196 Def / 76 SDef
Bold Nature
- Surf
- Shadow Ball
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover
Frillish can cripple opposing sweepers with Will-o-Wisp to lower attack and Cursed Body to get rid of crucial moves. Surf is anoth good check on Fire types.
So there you have it. Like I said, I am a total noob so feel free to rip this team a new one.
