I'm new to competitive battling and to get used to it, I decided to make a team and I wanted it to be a hail team.
I chose 6 Pokemon which I though will be good (and I was wrong) and went to battle. After every battle I changed my team a little bit, tried new things and so on... And from this: Abomasnow/Froslass/Mamoswine/Cloyster/Infernape/Suicune I've made a completely other team: Abomasnow/Heatran/Scizor/Kyurem/Gliscor/Starmie.
I've been doing great (better than expected) with my hail team in Pokemon Showdown! When I was building my team, I checked my W/L then and it was (W:17/L:54), but now it's (W:81/L:75).
As I said, I'm pretty new to battling, so any good tips/suggestions are appreciated.
It wouldn't be a hail team without Abomasnow. I put a Choice Scarf so he could outspeed Pokemon who otherwise would OHKO him like Dragonite and Salamence, but insted I OHKO them most of the time.
Blizzard is 100% accurate in hail and is my most used move and it gets stab as well, Grass Knot is for Gastrodon but is good for other Water types too, HP Fire OHKO's Forretress/Ferrothorn most of the time and Earthquake is to really hurt Heatran and other Fire types.

Calm
Protect
Lava Plume
Earth Power
Stealth Rock
248 HP/252 SpD/8 Spe
I use him as a counter to Ninetails and other Heatran (w/o Air Balloon). Ninetails can't really do anything to him - his immune to Ninetail's fire attacks, WoW, Toxic and while he has his balloon - to HP ground and HP Fighting can't hurt him too much (like 20%) and while he switches/uses HP, I can easily set up SR and then kill it with Earth Power if it's still there or switch out.
I use Stealth Rock to set up Stealth Rock, Protect to scout for Choice Pokemon attacks, Lava Plume is my main attacking move and it has STAB and a nice 30% chance to burn something. Earth Power for other Fire types and Tentacruel as well.

Bullet Punch
U-Turn
Pursuit
Superpower
252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
I use this guy mostly as a revenge killer and he does his job pretty well.
There's pretty much nothing to say about this set... Bullet Punch is for revenge killing and it allows me to hit Tyranitar and Terrakion for super effective damage, U-Turn is for scouting, Pursuit is mostly for Alakazam/Starmie/Gengar and can be used to prevent switching which sometimes helps, Superpower allows me to hit other steel types and Blissey/Chansey for super effectifve damage.

Blizzard
Dragon Pulse
Focus Blast
56 HP/236 SpA/216 Spe
It would've been stupid to have a hail team without another Ice type Pokemon, so I chose Kyurem. He can switch in to resisted attacks and set up a substited and then sweep. I can even kill Chansey/Blissey with him if I get a lucky critical hit or SpD drop. He can also recover from leftovers as he's immune to hail.
Blizzard is strongest STAB with no draw backs, Dragon Pulse provides good neutral coverage and Focus Blast is for Steel types, who resist both STAB's and for Chansey/Blissey.

Poison Heal
Impish
Protect
Toxic
Earthquake
Facade
248 HP/184 Def/72 Spe
Gliscor is really useful in this team as he resists really common Fighting type attacks, despite hail can heal himself, can scout for attacks and deal some damage either poisoning the opponent or hitting them with STAB EQ or Facade.
I use Protect for recovery as well as for scouting, Toxic to help counter Blissey/Chansey and to cripple other Pokemon too, Earthquake for stab and Facade, because it's my second strongest attack. I use it over Ice Fang because Facade deals more damage than Ice Fang even if the opposite Pokemon is weak to Ice (unless he has 4x weakness).

Hydro Pump
Thunder
Psychic
4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
Starmie works well as a revenge killer even without Choice Scarf thanks to it's 115 Base Speed. She works as a good Infernape counter that often goes as a lead against Abomasnow. If the ape has a Choice Band then it can survive Flare Blitz/Close Combat and hit it back with super effective STAB. If he has Scarf, then I can take 2 hits. If he switches, I damage the Pokemon that switches in, if he stays, both Pokemon faint.
Blizzard + Thunder provides good coverage, Hydro Pump is a powerful stab and Psychic is the only move (none of my Pokemon has a Flying type attack) that can hit Fighting type super efectively.
Other options
Tentacruel - Can set up Toxic Spikes, Rapid Spin opponent's entry hazards.
Mamoswine - Can be a revenge killer with Choice Scarf/Band and Ice Shard + other moves and has useful ability in hail - Snow Cloak.
Froslass - I can run a set like this: Confuse Ray/Substitute/Blizzard/Shadow Ball or Thunder/bolt. She can switch in to a Rapid Spin or a Fighting-type move, then Confuse them or whatever switches in. With Confusion and Snow Cloak opponent has only 40% chance to hit me, then I can set up Substitutes until opponent misses and then I can sweep. She also can set up spikes.
Cloyster - Immune to hail, can set up with Shell Smash and then sweep.
Terrakion - Really really strong Pokemon, also can be used to help countering Sandstorm and Sun teams.
Landorus - Great scout, also a good counter to Sandstorm teams.
Deoxys-D - Can set up entry hazards and taunt opposing leads as well.
Roar on Heatran to prevent Volcarona, Jirachi and other Pokemon too from setting their Quiver/Dragon Dance and Calm Minds.
Ice Fang on Gliscor to hit other Gliscor, but I have 3 Pokemon with Blizzard so I guess Facade is a better choice.
Rapid Spin on Starmie for obvious reasons...

Rapid Spin on Starmie for obvious reasons...
Threats
Alakazam - Immune to hail, can switch in on resisted/weak Choice attack, setup a Substitute and can be hard to revenge killed. Scizor's Pursuit can deal with him as well as Bullet Punch due to Alakazam's fraility.
Terrakion - Really a big threat to my team, usually kills at least one Pokemon or 2, if not more. Scizor's Bullet Punch can revenge kill this as well as Starmie with STAB Hydro Pump/Psychic. Gliscor can be used to wall Close Combat as it resists it, but can't take too many Stone Edges...
Chansey/Blissey - walls pretty much every Pokemon of my team and can heal their teammates with Wish. To get rid of them, I can Poison with Gliscor or hope for a crit/SpD drop with Kyurem's Focus Blast. Also Kyurem makes 101 HP Substitutes that Seismic Toss can't break and usually it's only attacking move for them. Also it prevents status.
Keldeo - After a Calm Mind can sweep through my team. The only counter for this - Starmie, who can hit it with Psychic/Thunder. The only problem is that a positive Spe nature Keldeo outspeeds Starmie and can kill it with Shadow Ball.
Other auto weather inducers - for obvious reasons. For Ninetails I've got Heatran, Politoed - Starmie can kill it with Thunder and Kyurem can set up Substitutes that Politoed can't break. Tyranitar - Starmie's Hydro Pump really hurts him if not KO's even at full health, Hippowdon - Gliscor can poison him, but nothing else really, Starmie can kill it with Hydro Pump as well.
Magnezone - traps Scizor, sets up on it while it's locked into usually Bullet Punch and then does really huge damage to my team. If I think that my opponent will switch, I can U-Turn to switch my Scizor out or just use Superpower. Heatran can 2HKO with Lava Plume and Starmie can revenge kill it with Hydro Pump.
Jirachi/Celebi - Jirachi counters my Abomasnow effectively, doesn't take much from HP Fire/EQ and can set up while I switch or kill with STAB Steel attacks. Celebi walls Gliscor, can switch out if poisoned or set up Calm Minds if not.
Infernape - OHKO's Abomasnow, while Abomasnow's EQ is only a 2HKO. Starmie is a decent counter since it resists both it's STAB's and can hit it super effectively back. Gliscor can come in on Close Combat and kill it with EQ, but he doesn't like Flare Blitz/Overheat/Fire Blast too much.
Jellicent - bulky Water type, can switch in to basically everything except Starmie's Thunder and burn something with Scald. Abomasnow can't even 3HKO it with Grass Knot.
Cloyster - can set up Shell Smash but is OHKO'd with Grass Knot.
Latias - really strong Pokemon, but get's OHKO'd by Blizzards and 2HKO'd with Bullet Punch so it's not a big threat but is something that is hard to counter.
Tentacruel - Sets up Toxic spikes, spins away my SR and counters Heatran/Abomasnow pretty well. Starmie can take it out with Psychic/Thunder, Gliscor can use EQ.
Donphan - although gets OHKO'd by a Grass Knot, he always manages to set up SR because of it's Sturdy.
