Alright, for lack of a Halo thread around here, i decided to create one. I think that although Halo 3 has been out for awhile, it still is played by a lot of gamers and it has one of, if not the, the largest professional community. Halo is a very competitive game, and has a lot to discuss.
Well, I personally follow MLG, so I would like to have a discussion on the various team changes that have taken place after MLG Orlando. Final Boss, a very experienced team, made it's 2nd team change in 2 and a half years by dropping their captain Walshy for str9 rippin's Neighbor. Neighbor was replaced by Snipedown, a reletively new player from the Orlando winners Triggers Down. Because of this loss, Triggers Down picked up Makeo, the captain of rival team Instinct. Instinct had a very disappointing finish in Orlando, and they replaced 2 players with Walshy, a celebrated champion, and Soviet, the 2007 Free for All winner. Carbon drops Ghandi, who did not put in the effort they needed for their longtime friend Cpt. Anarchy. Team Classic dropped Naded for Victory X, who came from Instinct.
I would just like to know everyone's opinions on this. Please no trolling, take it to firebot if you want to flame a team.
Sorry if i'm rambling, but there have been A LOT of changes.
My predicitions for Toronto, if anyone cares:
1st- Str8 Rippin: With an already solid lineup, they drop one of their main slayers in Neighbor for the incredibly talented and motivated Snipedown. I believe that they have a good mix of players, and that it will pay off. The only problem is that they are losing a pretty solid objective player, which could hurt them.
2nd- Final Boss: Dropping the fading (or so i see) Walshy for the super consistant slayer Neighbor gives them a more agressive team, which works better in Halo 3. They will become a mix of setup and agressive and it will work well until the finals. Strongside and Neighbor will score big, while to Ogres will dominate in objective games.
3rd- Triggers Down: Unfortunately, they lost their best slayer. They have momentum, which will help them, but Makeo is just not the slayer they need right now. They will beat the other teams because they have a solid lineup, expect to dominate on Onslaught and Amplified because of all the solid BR's. I expect another team change after the event, dropping Makeo for a young talented star.
4th- Classic: They dropped Naded, who did not work out as they expected, for Victory X, a young slayer. They have replaced the same position twice now, so hopefully this one will work out. Victory X will help out their slaying alot. They will be very good, but will not be able to cope with the skill of Str8, FB and TD.
5th- Carbon: Ghandi was slacking, so they traded him for best friend Cpt. Anarchy. They have enough practice with him, so chemistry will be fine. Unfortunately, they have not placed well the last few events, so they do not have the momentum to make it all the way. Look out, next event they will do much better.
6th- Instinct: Invigorated from the loss of 2 players, and picking up a very talanted young player and a commanding leader, they will place well. They teamwork will not be there, and that will be their greatest downfall. This will be disappointing to them, but hopefully they will get their chemestry right and work well as a team.
Yes, i like Halo. This will be to discuss all aspects of halo, but i want to open up with MLG predictions beacuse that is the most competitive aspect.
