I reserved mine, regular version. Also I believe you forgot the shield drainer or whatever it's called (the item that when enemies get near it drains their shields).

On-topic: Uh... I don't like shootan games but I actually quite like the sound of that "record match" feature, I wish Brawl had it.
Oh man, I can't wait for this. I've been an avid Halo player since 2001 with the original for Xbox. Thankfully I preordered months ago. The only bad thing is that I have school that day =(
I'm looking forward mostly to playing 4-player co-op with a bunch of friends. Also I want to see where the story is going, I've also read all the books with the series. Then I want to get into some competitive big team matches. I love 10 player plus matches, especially CTF with tons of vehicles.

Ouch. Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to get Halo 3 - that doesn't mean I won't be at my friend's house everday playing, though.
I've got it reserved and paid off, still deciding if I want to camp out for it or just pick it up during the afternoon. I've never camped out for a game before so I may do it just to say I have, which isn't really something to brag about.
As for the series, part 1 was amazing and I loved it, part 2 I played a bit of online and never finished the campaign :( I got bored of it, but since Halo 3 is so close, I have to beat Halo 2's story to know what the hell is going on.

Me and two friends are taking the same bus from school to my house, then at about 8 leaving to EB for the Midnight Release. camping out for games ftw!
btw also i have 3 55-60" tvs, one in my room and two my dad that my dad isnt using, which will all be connected so we can beat campaign via system link. we'll try and work our way through legendary, then at about 6:30 walk to the bus stop, go to school and then straight back to my house
sucks to have to go to school still but at least we can brag to people, and maybe piss off the people who are crazy about not wanting the story ruined for them lol

Complete opposite here =P I'll do campaign and doubt I'll touch multiplayer much. Only times I played H2 online were 3 hours to get into the H3 beta and while I was at my cousin's house this summer (he's a huge Halo fan).
Review Embargo ended at Noon. They make me want the game so bad, although it seems Campaign is just "good" while the multiplayer is the awesome bit. Sadly I play these games more for campaign them multiplayer so doesn't help me all too much. I'm really hyped by 4 player co-op though. Too bad 1up says co-op over Live can get laggy =/
If you have online why would you not play it? It's like having a HD TV and not watching HD programming.
You're missing out on so much.
