OU Heatran [QC 1/1] [GP 1/1]

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Taunt
- Toxic / Stealth Rock

This set utilizes Heatran's excellent offensive capabilities in conjunction with Magma Storm to trap and remove would-be answers including Toxapex and Chansey, which makes it difficult for many teams to switch into. Furthermore, Heatran's good Fire / Steel typing along with above-average bulk allows it to check common offensive threats such as non-Fightinium Z Tapu Lele, Shift Gear Magearna, and Swords Dance Tapu Bulu. The combination of Taunt + Toxic also gives Heatran the ability to pressure bulky cores, allowing it to deny recovery from Pokemon like Toxapex and chip away at its defensive answers. Unfortunately, Heatran is vulnerable to Pokemon like Ash-Greninja and Landorus-T, and it lacks a form of reliable recovery. Thus, Assault Vest Tapu Bulu can make for an excellent partner, as it can switch into most offensive Heatran checks as well as weaken Earthquake and provide more passive recovery for Heatran with Grassy Terrain.

Here are some SPL replays of Heatran in action.
