[OVERVIEW]

Heatran's nine resistances and two immunities give it a solid defensive niche and, combined with its bulk, let it take on popular Fairy- and Fire-type threats, such as Togekiss, Sylveon, and Mollux. Its movepool is nothing to scoff at either, letting Heatran pull off multiple sets, each with a different niche. With a Choice Scarf, Heatran is able to revenge kill many threats, such as Mega Metagross and Mollux. With a more offensive EV spread, Heatran is able to take advantage of moves such as Magma Storm and Solar Beam. However, Heatran's 4x weakness to Ground and weaknesses to Water and Fighting leave it vulnerable to many prominent threats, such as Colossoil, Landorus-T, and Keldeo, as well as being lured. Heatran's lack of recovery moves prevents it from walling threats forever and means it is easy to wear down over the course of a match.

Moves
========

Lava Plume is a reliable STAB move that can occasionally cripple common switch-ins, such as Azumarill and Mega Venusaur. Toxic lets Heatran wear down opposing walls and put a timer on setup sweepers. Stealth Rock breaks Focus Sashes and provides hefty residual damage on Pokemon such as Talonflame, Mega Pinsir, Aurumoth, and both Mega Charizard formes. Earth Power hits possible switch-ins to Lava Plume or Toxic, most notably Mollux, Naviathan, and other Heatran. Roar racks up entry hazard damage and stops threats from setting up. Protect gives Heatran a safe turn for extra Leftovers recovery, allows you to scout moves, and works well in conjunction with Toxic. Taunt can stop slower Pokemon like Pyroak and Chansey from healing themselves.

Set Details
========

Running 252 HP and 252 Special Defense EVs lets Heatran act as a great special wall. Leftovers should be the only item used, as Heatran has no recovery moves outside of Rest. Flash Fire gives Heatran an immunity to Fire-type moves and can occasionally boost the power of its Lava Plume.

Usage Tips
========

Heatran can take many special attacks and use the opportunity to phaze, set up Stealth Rock, or spread status. Be cautious when using Protect, as repeated use of the move can prove to be predictable and can give the foe a free switch or chance to set up. While Roar can be used to phaze setup sweepers, switching Heatran into these Pokemon may not always be the best choice; for example, Heatran should avoid Scizor carrying Superpower.

Team Options
========

This Heatran set works well on balanced teams as part of a defensive core. Bulky Grass-types such as Necturna and Mega Venusaur are some of the best partners for Heatran, as they can deal with Ground- and Water-type Pokemon that Heatran struggles against., while it takes the Flying- and Fire-type attacks directed at them. Water-types can also be great partners, especially when also paired with a Ground-type Pokemon. Slowbro and Rotom-W act as more defensive partners, while Mega Gyarados can be used for a more offensive teammate. Tomohawk can also pitch in due to resisting Fighting and being immune to Ground, although it will need help dealing with Water-type moves. Wish passers such as Chansey, Jirachi, and Sylveon can also be incredibly valuable to Heatran as a way to recover lost HP without relying on Leftovers and Protect.

Moves
========

Fire Blast is a reliable STAB move that can be useful for sweeping late-game. Overheat has a higher damage output at the cost of a Special Attack drop that can render Heatran useless. Flash Cannon can be used to hit Fairies, with Mega Gardevoir and Mega Diancie being two examples. Earth Power provides coverage on Pokemon that resist both of Heatran's STAB moves, such as Mollux and Cyclohm. Stone Edge can also be used to revenge kill Pokemon such as Talonflame, Mega Charizard Y, and Volcarona. Hidden Power Ice provides extra coverage against Dragon-types that resist Fire and can also be used to revenge kill Landorus-T and Gliscor.

Set Details
========
Maximum Special Attack investment lets Heatran hit as hard as possible. With Choice Scarf, maximum Speed investment, and a Timid nature, Heatran can outspeed everything up to Mega Lopunny. Flash Fire gives it a safer switch in against Fire-types as well as a possible extra boost to its Fire-type moves.

Usage Tips
========

Even though Heatran can outspeed most of the metagame, careful prediction is still required, as being locked into the wrong move may make you lose momentum and consequently the game. There are many checks to Choice Scarf Heatran, so if it is needed to revenge kill a sweeper, such as Cawmodore, it should be preserved. Heatran should also have its teammates weaken its checks so it can come in and secure a safe KO later on.

Team Options
========

Choice Scarf Heatran is more viable on balanced teams due to its ability to clean late-game, but it can be used on hyper offensive teams as well. Bulky Grass- and Water-type Pokemon like Mega Venusaur, Slowbro, and Rotom-W are the best teammates for Choice Scarf Heatran. They can take all Water-, Ground-, and Fighting-type moves directed at Heatran and either stall out their users or directly KO them. Wish passers can be useful to keep Heatran at full health, allowing it to switch in repeatedly without worrying about entry hazard damage. Heatran's ability to soft check Fire-types and pressure Steel-types can be valuable to teammates such as Aurumoth and Syclant. Fairy-types also appreciate the removal of Steel-types, especially Mega Altaria, which then doesn't have to give up a moveslot for Earthquake.

Moves
========

Fire Blast is a consistent STAB move and the weapon of choice for punching holes in the opposition. Magma Storm can also be used for residual damage and to prevent double switches, which is useful for gaining the tactical advantage over your opponent; it can also be used in conjunction with Taunt to stop walls from recovering. Earth Power provides coverage against Rock-type switch-ins as well as Fire-types that resist Fire Blast and Flash Cannon, namely other Heatran and Mollux. Flash Cannon nails Rock-type switch-ins and hits Fairies. Stealth Rock helps get chip damage on foes, opening up more opportunities for sweepers as well as helping wear down Fire- and Flying-types.

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed investment and a Timid nature are used to outspeed Taunt users that try to prevent Heatran from setting up Stealth Rock such as Mandibuzz. 252 HP / 176 SpA / 80 Spe can be run alongside Taunt if you want Heatran to tank hits better. Running 80 Speed EVs lets it beat neutral base 85 Speed Pokemon such as Suicune and Intimidate Tomohawk. With 252 Special Attack EVs, Heatran will hit fairly hard with its good STAB and coverage moves. Air Balloon is used on this set to be able to check threats that commonly carry Ground-type coverage, such as Mega Diancie, Stratagem, and Mega Altaria.

Usage Tips
========

Stealth Rock + three attacks Heatran fits nicely into hyper offensive or bulky offensive teams in need of a relatively fast Stealth Rock setter. Heatran can also utilize Taunt to stop support Pokemon. With strong STAB moves and good coverage, it has the ability to hit a fair portion of the metagame super effectively. Flash Fire gives Heatran the ability to switch freely into any Fire-type move and gain a boost to the power of its own Fire-type moves, letting it hit even harder. Another one of Heatran's roles is being an offensive Stealth Rock setter that can pressure Ground-types with a powerful STAB move and immunity to Ground thanks to Air Balloon.

Team Options
========

Due to the residual damage from Stealth Rock, Pokemon such as Cawmodore, Mega Altaria, Mega Diancie, and Mega Metagross are useful partners to finish off the opposing team. Mega Venusaur, Rotom-W, and Gyarados can take Water-, Ground-, and Fighting-type moves for Heatran. Bulky Wish passers will help Heatran survive multiple attacks so that it can continue to set up Stealth Rock if the opposing team has a spinner or Defogger. Pokemon that appreciate the removal of Steel-types, such as Mega Crucibelle and Weavile, make for good partners for Heatran. Ice-types such as Syclant are useful for removing Landorus-T and Garchomp, two Pokemon that switch into Heatran easily. In return, Heatran can deal with Steel-types and set up Stealth Rock to help wear down Fire-types.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Choice Specs Heatran is a viable option that can run Eruption to absolutely devastate the opposing team. Unfortunately, it is an event move and restricts Heatran to running a Quiet nature, which mainly limits it to Trick Room teams. A stallbreaker set can trap and wear down walls through residual damage from Magma Storm and Toxic, while Taunt prevents them from recovering HP. Maximum Speed is advised to get a quick Taunt on defensive foes before they can touch Heatran. Heatran can also run Power Herb + Solar Beam to nail Water-types such as Keldeo, Arghonaut, and Azumarill as they switch in for a fair amount of damage; however, it has only one-time use, so careful prediction is required.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Ground-types and Ground-type Coverage**: Fast Ground-types are some of the best checks and counters to Heatran. Choice Scarf Excadrill, Choice Scarf Landorus-T, and Choice Scarf Garchomp can all outspeed Heatran and OHKO it with super effective Earthquake or Earth Power, making them the best checks. However, Landorus-T and Garchomp will have to be aware of Hidden Power Ice if they switch in. Assault Vest Colossoil is also a fantastic switch-in to Heatran; even though Heatran can pack Toxic, it can avoid getting crippled by status with Rebound, or it can use the boost in Attack from Guts to hit harder. Many other Pokemon also carry Ground-type coverage, such as Mega Diancie, Stratagem, Kyurem-B, Mollux, and Jirachi, and therefore are considered checks. There is also a tendency for unexpected Pokemon to carry Hidden Power Ground, which can be used against Heatran.

**Special Walls**: Chansey can take anything Heatran throws at it due to its immense special bulk and can deal with Toxic with Natural Cure. Specially defensive Gliscor can also switch in fairly easily and thanks to Poison Heal can switch into a Toxic or avoid a burn from Lava Plume or Fire Blast. However, any other special wall that isn't Steel- or Poison-type won't like taking Toxic.

**Water-types**: Bulky Water-types can switch into almost any move, but they have to be wary of Toxic on specially defensive Heatran. Rotom-W, Jellicent, and Keldeo are all able to switch into Heatran and KO it. Faster Water-types such as Choice Scarf Volkraken can either switch into an appropriate move and KO Heatran or just revenge kill it easily.

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types such as Keldeo and Tomohawk can easily take a hit and force Heatran out with their STAB attacks. Tomohawk also has reliable recovery and can stop Toxic with Prankster Taunt.

thanks for the catch. BTW I did not write anything except for the check that needed to be implemented

Just to clarify on what the proper procedure is SlaySlenderDragon XD, a QC member will read through what you've posted up to this point to make sure the last QC check was implemented properly and that any other relevant information is correct. If it all checks out they'll post the final QC check or any additional changes as needed. Only after the third and final QC check has been given are you allowed to move onto the GP stage and not any sooner than that. This is especially true in a case like this where a new writer is picking up a dropped analysis and implementing a lingering check.

Also, the last check was not meant to serve as the third QC check. Since set changes were being made this far down the process the QC team decided that we'll give the final check after we've seen the set changes have been followed up correctly. Unless a QC member posts "QC X/3", do not assume that a QC X/3 check has been given. If I have time later today I'll look it over, if not I'll do it tomorrow unless another QC member does it before then.

[OVERVIEW]

Heatran is a solid defensive Pokemon boasting a total of 9 resistances with 5 of them double resistances and 2 immunities (With Flash Fire) mean it can be extremely hard to wear down due to the immunity to both, burn and poison damage. Solid mixed defenses and a nice HP stat combined with these resistances allow it to easily carry out its noted Specially Defensive set with ease which allows it to tackle Fairy and Fire-types . But Heatran is no lightweight in the offensive department either packing a huge base 130 Special attack and a limited but hardly lacking offensive movepool allow Heatran to run offensive sets. However a multitude of common weaknesses including a large 4x Weakness to Ground and no recovery moves leaves Heatran very vulnerable to revenge killing by many faster threats such as Excadrill, Colossoil and Landorus-Therian.
Mention examples of Fire- and Fairy-types Heatran checks so its more obvious you mean Special Attackers than say, Azumarill. Offensive portion of this should reference Choice Scarf and Offensive Setter. In the last part, mention the Ground weakness leaves it vulnerable to luring and the lack of recovery means its susceptible to wear down.

Moves

Lava Plume is a solid STAB move with a handy 30% chance to burn. Toxic is used to be able to defeat other walls and to build up residual damage in general. Stealth Rock can help to get chip damage on the opponent. Earth Power is very useful in this set to hit possible switch ins to either Lava Plume or Toxic, most notably Mollux, Naviathan and other Heatrans. Roar is useful to rack up entry hazard damage and to stop threats from setting up. Protect is there for extra Leftovers recovery, scouting moves and works well in conjunction with Toxic. (and Leftovers) Taunt can stop slower Pokemon like Pyroak and Chansey from recovery and healing themselves.

Set details
========

252 EVs and 252 Special Defense lets it act as a great special wall with many immunities and resistances. Leftovers should be the only item used do its ability to recover small amounts of HP that Heatran cannot do outside of Rest due to no other recovery moves. Flash Fire for a nice immunity and gives a power boost to Lava Plume which can be very useful. More importantly, Flash Fire allows Heatran to check Fire-types, such as Mollux, easily.

Usage Tips
========

This set for Heatran works its way nicely into both defensive and balanced play styles. Through the spread of EVs and its useful amount of resistances, it can tank most special hits and either phase or status with Toxic/Lava Plume. Be cautious when using protect though as constant use of the move can prove to be predictable and can give your opponent a free switch in/a chance to set up. While Roar can be used to phase setup sweepers, switching Heatran into these Pokemon may not always be the best choice (eg. Superpower Scizor), so choose your targets wisely.

Team Options
========

Bulky Grass types can prove to be the best partners for Heatran as they can deal with Ground/Water types that can prove to be a nuisance to it. Pokemon such as Necturna and Venusaur work well in this area as they are both able to take Ground, Fighting and Water moves for Heatran, while it takes Fire, Flying and Psychic. Water types that can also be great partners when also paired with a Ground Pokemon. Slowbro and Rotom for defensive partners, regular Gyarados for a more offensive teammate. Tomohawk can also pitch in due to resisting Fighting and being immune to Ground, although it will need help dealing with Water. Wish Passers can also be incredibly valuable to SpDef Tran as a way to recover lost HP without relying on Leftovers and Protect. Moves

Fire Blast is a reliable STAB move which can be useful for sweeping late game. Overheat a powerful STAB move of choice due to high base and Scarf Heatran can do with as much power as it can get. (Overheat is more suited to a hit n run playstyle where the boost in damage is prefered) Flash Cannon is secondary STAB which can be used to hit Fairies.(Mention some Fairies) Earth Power is for coverage to hit mons that resist both of Heatran's STAB's such as Mollux.(and?) Stone Edge can also be used to snare revenge kills against Pokemon such as Talonflame, Charizard Y and Volcarona. Even with a Attack reducing nature it is still able to OHKO which is why it is preferred over Ancient Power. (You don't need to mention Ancient Power if its not on the analysis.) Hidden Power Ice is for extra coverage against Dragon types that resist Overheat/Fire Blast. (Mention Garchomp) Also it can be used to revenge kill both Lando-I and T and Gliscor.

Set Details
========

The EV spread suggested gives Heatran max SpAtk and Speed. With Scarf and the added EV's Heatran will reach 379 speed which out speeds max invested base 135's by twelve which means it has the ability to out speed and hit Max Speed Mega Lopunny while still retaining a lot of firepower. (You don't need to tell us what speed it hits, just that its fast enough to outspeed everything up to Mega Loppunny.) Timid is viable on Heatran due to its ability to out speed almost the entire CAP metagame.

Usage Tips
========

Scarf Heatran is more viable on balanced teams due to its ability to clean late game, but it can still be used in Hyper Offence teams as well. Even though it can out speed most of the metagame, careful prediction is still required as being stuck with the wrong move may cause a change in momentum which can lose you the game. There are many checks to Scarf Tran so be wary when using it. (Tell reader how to play past checks, such as preserving Heatran until its checks are weakened enough to use or its needed to revenge kill a threatening sweeper.) Unfortunately it's not nearly as effective as it used to be due to the metagame becoming faster and faster, so be wary of this when deciding whether or no to use Scarf Heatran.

Team Options
========

Again Bulky Grass and Water Pokemon are the best teammates for Scarf Heatran. They can take all Water, Ground and Fighting type moves directed at Heatran and either stall out or directly KO. Again Wish Passers can be useful to keep Heatran at full health allowing it to switch in repetitively without worrying about hazards damage Mention some offensive partners since this is an offensive set.

Moves
========

The purpose of this Heatran is for a Stealth Rock setter that is not vulnerable as some others. Fire Blast is for a consistent STAB which is the weapon of choice for punching holes in the opposition. Magma Storm can also fit in here due to its ability for continuous residual damage and also to prevent double switches which is useful for gaining the tactical advantage over your opponent. (Magma Storm in conjunction with Taunt can help wear down walls) Earth Power is there for coverage against Rock-type switch ins as well as Fire types that resist Fire Blast and Flash Cannon, namely other Heatran's and Mollux. Flash Cannon again is secondary STAB to nail Rock switch ins and to hit Fairy's. Taunt can be used over Flash Cannon to prevent slower hazard setter from releasing their hazards and to also hurt defensive mons, other support Pokemon and slower set-up Pokemon. Stealth Rock is on this set to break sashes on the opposing team and provide hefty residual damage against mons such as Talonflame, Mega Pinsir, Aurumoth and both of Charizard's Megas. This explanation for Stealth Rock should be used in Specially Defensive set over the current one.

Set Details
========

EV spread is for maximum Speed to outspeed Taunters who are trying to prevent Heatran from setting up Stealth Rock such as Mandibuzz. 252 HP / 176 SpA / 80 Speed can be run on Taunt Heatran if you want to invest more in HP to tank hits. 80 Speed lets it beat neutral base 85's such as Suicune and Cresselia. With base 130 Special attack and 252 EV's means Heatran will still be hitting fairly hard with its usable STAB's and coverage moves. Timid is the Nature of choice due to the extra speed it provides to help out speed Taunters. Air Balloon is useful on this set to be able to check threats such as Mega Diancie, Stratagem and Mega Altaria.

Usage Tips
========

Stealth Rock + 3 Attack Heatran fits nicely into Hyper Offensive or Bulky Offensive teams who are in need of a relatively fast Bulky Rock Setter. Taunt can also fit in nicely to hurt other support Pokemon. With strong STABs and coverage it has the ability to hit a fair portion of the metagame super effectively. Flash Fire gives Heatran the ability to switch freely into any Fire type move and then gain a boost in the power of Fire type moves, so it can hit even harder. Another one of Heatran's roles is being an offensive Stealth Rock setter than can pressure Ground-types with a powerful STAB move and Air Balloon immunity.

Team Options
========

Due to the amount of residual damage that Stealth Rock could be inflicting, Pokemon such as Cawmodore, Mega Altaria, Mega Diancie and Mega Metagross are useful partners to finish off the opposing team. However on the defensive side many of the previously mentioned partners can still apply. Mega Venusaur, Rotom-Wash, Gyarados all fit into this category. Bulky Wish Passers will help Heatran survive multiple attacks so that it can continue to set Rocks if the opposing team has a Spinner/Defogger. Expand with more offensive partners.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Specs Heatran is also a viable option to be run. With Specs, Eruption can be run to absolutely devastate the opposing team. Unfortunately it is an Event move and restricts Heatran to running a Quiet nature (+SpAtk, -Speed) which mainly limits it to Trick Room teams. Stall Breaker Heatran is also a viable set. Through the use of Taunt, Magma Storm and Toxic, it can trap and then proceed to wear away at walls through residual damage from Magma Storm and Toxic, while Taunt prevents them from recovering HP. Max Speed Heatran is advised to get a quick Taunt on defensive mons before they can touch you. Heatran can also run Power Herb Solarbeam to nail Water types such as Keldeo, Argonaut and Azumarill as they switch in for a fair amount of damage, however it is only one time use so careful prediction is required.

Checks & Counters
########

**Ground Types & Ground type coverage**: Fast Ground types are some of the best Heatran checks/counters. Scarf Excadrill, Scarf Landorus-T and Scarf Garchomp can all out speed and OHKO Heatran with Super Effective Earthquake/Earth Power which makes them the best checks. However Landorus and Garchomp will have to be aware of Hidden Power Ice if they switch in. AV Colossoil is also a fantastic switch in to Heatran. Even though Heatran can pack Toxic, through the use of Rebound it can avoid getting statused, or with Guts can use the boost in Attack to hit harder. Pokemon also tend to randomly carry Hidden Power Ground which can hurt Heatran severely.

Many other Pokemon also carry Ground type coverage such as Mega Diancie, Stratagem, Kyurem-B, Scolipede(not relevant enough to mention) and Hydreigon(not relevant enough to mention) also carry Ground type moves as coverage against Steel types and therefore are considered checks Mollux and Plasmanta are relevant mons that use Ground coverage for Heatran that you can mention.

**Special Walls**: Chansey can take anything Heatran throws at it due to its immense special bulk and can deal with Toxic due to Natural Cure. SpDef Gliscor can also switch in fairly easily and thanks to Poison Heal can switch into a Toxic or absorb others status's. However any other Special wall that isn't Steel or Poison won't like taking a Toxic.

**Water types**: Bulky Water types can switch in to almost any move, but have to be wary of Toxic on SpDef Tran. Rotom-W, Jellicent, Keldeo are all able to switch into Heatran and then KO. Also faster Water types such as Scarf Volkraken can either switch in to an appropriate move and KO or just revenge kill it easily.

**Fighting types**: Fighting types like Keldeo and Conkeldurr(Conkeldurr isn't that relevant anymore, use another Fighting type, such as Tomohawk) can easily take a hit and force Heatran out with their STAB attacks. Conkeldurr can easily switch in as well due to it not fearing Toxic due to Guts.
Here are my final comments on the analysis, mostly about relevancy of mentions, give more examples etc. Implement all these changes and you can consider this QC 3/3. Good job.

Stone Edge can also be used to snare revenge kills against Pokemon such as Talonflame, Charizard Y, [comma] and Volcarona. Hidden Power Ice is for extra coverage against Dragon types that resist Overheat/and Fire Blast. Also it It can also [reads better like this imo] can be used to revenge kill both Landorus-Therian and Gliscor.

Max Special Attack can makes Heatran hit as hard as possible. With Choice Scarf, max Speed investment, and Timid Heatran a Timid nature, Heatran can outspeed up to Mega Lopunny [if you meant all Pokemon up until Mega Lopunny, you need to rephrase this, as "up to" doesn't make sense]. Flash Fire gives ist a safer switch-in against Fire-types as well as giving the extra boost to Heatran's Fire-type moves.

Usage Tips
========

Scarf Heatran is more viable on balanced teams due to its ability to clean late game, but it can still be used in on Hyper Offence teams as well. Even though it can outspeed [one word] most of the metagame, careful prediction is still required as being stuck with the wrong move may cause a change in momentum which can lose you the game. There are many checks to Choice Scarf Heatran so if it is needed to revenge kill a sweeper, [comma] it should be preserved. Heatran should also have teammates weaken its checks so later on, [add comma] Heatran can come in and secure a safe kill. Unfortunately, [add comma] it's not nearly as effective as it used to be due to the metagame becoming faster and faster [the metagame becoming faster, or the pokemon in the metagame becoming faster?], so be wary of this when deciding whether or not to use Scarf Heatran.

Team Options
========

Again, [comma] bulky Grass and Water-type Pokemon are the best teammates for Scarf Heatran. They can take all Water-, Ground- [add hyphen] and Fighting-type moves directed at Heatran and either stall out or directly KO. Again Wish Passers can be useful to keep Heatran at full health, [comma] allowing it to switch in repetitively without worrying about hazards damage. Heatran's ability to soft check Fire-types and pressure Steel-types can be valuable to teammates such as Aurumoth and Scylant. Fairy-types also appreciate the removal of Steel-types, especially Mega Altaria who doesn't have to give up a moveslot for Earthquake.

Moves

The purpose of this Heatran set is for a to set Stealth Rock setter that is not vulnerable as some others [tried to rephrase this, makes more sense compared to previous sentence]. Fire Blast is for a consistent STAB which is the weapon of choice for punching holes in the opposition. Magma Storm can also fit in here due to its ability for continuous residual damage and also to prevent double switches which is useful for gaining the tactical advantage over your opponent,; [remove comma, add semi-colon] this can be used in conjunction of Taunt to stop walls from recovering. Earth Power is there for coverage against Rock-type switch-ins [add hyphen] as well as Fire-types that resist Fire Blast and Flash Cannon, namely other Heatran's [remove apostrophe] and Mollux. Flash Cannon again is secondary STAB to nail Rock switch-ins and to hit Fairies. Stealth Rock is used to help get chip damage on opponents, [comma] opening up more opportunities for sweepers as well to help excessively wear down Fire- [add hyphen] and Flying-types.

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed is to outspeed Taunters who are trying to prevent Heatran from setting up Stealth Rock such as Mandibuzz. 252 HP / 176 SpA / 80 Speed can be run on Taunt Heatran if you want to invest more in HP to tank hits. 80 Speed lets it beat neutral base 85's such as Suicune and non-Prankster Tomohawk. With base 130 Special Attack and 252 EV's remove apostrophe means Heatran will still be hitting fairly hard with its usable STAB's and coverage moves. Timid is the nature of choice due to the extra speed it provides to help outspeed one word Taunters. Air Balloon is useful on this set to be able to check threats such as Mega Diancie, Stratagem, add comma and Mega Altaria.

Usage Tips
========

Stealth Rock + 3 Attack Heatran fits nicely into Hyper Offensive or Bulky Offensive teams whoich are in need of a relatively fast bulky rock setter. Taunt can also fit in nicely to hurt taunt doesn't deal damage tho... other support Pokemon. With strong STABs not too sure about the term "STABs" and coverage it has the ability to hit a fair portion of the metagame super effectively. Flash Fire gives Heatran the ability to switch freely into any Fire-type move and then gain a boost in the power of Fire-type moves, so it can hit even harder. Another one of Heatran's roles is being an offensive Stealth Rock setter than can pressure Ground-types with a powerful STAB move and Air Balloon immunity.

Team Options
========

Due to the amount of residual damage that Stealth Rock could be inflicting, Pokemon such as Cawmodore, Mega Altaria, Mega Diancie and Mega Metagross are useful partners to finish off the opposing team. However, on the defensive side, [ac] many of the previously mentioned partners can still apply. Mega Venusaur, Rotom-Wash, and Gyarados all fit into this category. Bulky Wish Passers will help Heatran survive multiple attacks so that it can continue to set rocks if the opposing team has a Spinner/ or Defogger. Pokemon that appreciate the removal of Steel-types like Mega Crucibelle and Weavile make good partners for Heatran. Ice-types that are useful in removing Landorus-Therian and Garchomp, two Pokemon who switch into Heatran easilly, are often good partners. In return, [add comma] Stealth Rock can help to wear down Fire-types and Heatran can deal with Steel-types.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
########

Specs Heatran is also a viable option to be run. With Specs, Eruption can be run to absolutely devastate the opposing team. Unfortunately, comma it is an event move and restricts Heatran to running a Quiet nature (+SpAtk, -Speed) [either leave this out, or say something along the lines of: "...running a Quiet nature which increases its..."] which mainly limits it to Trick Room teams. Stallbreaker Heatran is also a viable set. Through the use of Taunt, Magma Storm, [add comma] and Toxic, it can trap and then proceed to wear away at walls through residual damage from Magma Storm and Toxic, while Taunt prevents them from recovering HP. Max Speed Heatran is advised to get a quick Taunt on defensive mons before they can touch you. Heatran can also run Power Herb Solar Beam to nail Water-types such as Keldeo, Argonaut, comma and Azumarill as they switch in for a fair amount of damage, however it is only one time use so careful prediction is required.

Checks & Counters
########

**Ground-types & Ground type coverage**: Fast Ground-types [add hyphen] are some of the best Heatran checks/ and counters. Scarf Excadrill, Scarf Landorus-T, comma and Scarf Garchomp can all outspeed and OHKO Heatran with super effective Earthquake/ or Earth Power which makes them the best checks. However, Landorus and Garchomp will have to be aware of Hidden Power Ice if they switch in. Assault Vest Colossoil is also a fantastic switch in to Heatran. Even though Heatran can pack Toxic, through the use of Rebound, comma it Colossoil can avoid getting statused, or with Guts can use the boost in Attack to hit harder. Many any other Pokemon also carry Ground-type coverage such as Mega Diancie, Stratagem, Kyurem-B, Mollux, and Jirachi also carry Ground type moves as coverage against Steel types and therefore are considered checks. There is also a tendency for random Pokemon to carry Hidden Power Ground which can be used against Heatran.

**Special Walls**: Chansey can take anything Heatran throws at it due to its immense special bulk and can deal with Toxic due to Natural Cure. SpDef Gliscor can also switch in fairly easily and thanks to Poison Heal, comma can switch into a Toxic or absorb others status'ses. However, comma any other Special wall that isn't Steel or Poison won't like taking a Toxic.

**Water-types**: Bulky Water-types can switch in to almost any move, but have to be wary of Toxic on SpDef Heatran. Rotom-W, Jellicent, and Keldeo are all able to switch into Heatran and then KO it. Also faster Water-types [add hyphen] such as Scarf Volkraken can either switch in to an appropriate move and KO or just revenge kill it easily.

**Fighting-types [add hyphen]**: Fighting-types like Keldeo and Tomohawk can easily take a hit and force Heatran out with their STAB attacks. Tomohawk also has reliable recovery and can stop Toxic with a Prankster Taunt.
Phew, that took very long. Just remember not to use slashes when you're talking about an alternative (except for in the set details) as it doesn't really read well. There was some fluff that I removed as well. Also, there's a lack of consistency with -type, so just remember to always put a dash after the type name. Apart from that, seems fine to me.

[OVERVIEW]

Heatran's nine resistances and two immunities give it Heatran a solid defensive niche. These resistances and, combined with its Heatran's bulk, let it take on popular Fairy- and Fire-type threats, such as Mollux, Togekiss, and Sylveon, and Mollux. Its movepool is nothing to scoff at either, letting Heatran pull off multiple sets, each with a different niche. With a Choice Scarf, Heatran's is able to revenge kill many threats, such as Mega Metagross and Mollux. With a more offensive EV spread, Heatran is able to abuse take advantage of moves such as Magma Storm and Solar Beam. However, Heatran's 4x weakness to Ground, (RC) and weaknesses to Water and Fighting, leaves leave it vulnerable to many prominent threats, such as Colossoil, Landorus-Therian, and Keldeo, and. This weakness to Ground-type attacks leaves it prone to being lured as well. Heatran's lack of recovery moves prevents it Heatran from walling threats forever, (RC) and means it is leaves Heatran easy to wear down over the course of a match. Even with Heatran's immense weaknesses, its defensive and offensive presence makes it a solid choice for nearly any team it's put on. Heatran can also utilize Taunt to stop support Pokemon. With strong STAB moves and good coverage, (AC) it has the ability to hit a fair portion of the metagame super effectively. Flash Fire gives Heatran the ability to switch freely into any Fire-type move and gain a boost to the power of its own Fire-type moves, letting it can hit even harder. Another one of Heatran's roles is being an offensive Stealth Rock setter that can pressure Ground-types with a powerful STAB move and immunity to Ground thanks to Air Balloon.

Team Options
========

Pokemon that appreciate the removal of Steel-types, like such as Mega Crucibelle and Weavile, make for good partners for Heatran. Ice-types such as Syclant are useful in for removing Landorus-T and Garchomp, two Pokemon that switch into Heatran easily. In return, Heatran can deal with Steel-types and set up Stealth Rock to help wear down Fire-types.

Other Options
=============

===================

**Ground-types & and Ground-type Coverage**: Fast Ground-types are some of the best checks and counters to Heatran. Assault Vest Colossoil is also a fantastic switch-in to Heatran; even though Heatran can pack Toxic, through the use of Rebound it can avoid getting crippled by statused with Rebound, or with Guts it can use the boost in Attack from Guts to hit harder. Many other Pokemon also carry Ground-type coverage, such as Mega Diancie, Stratagem, Kyurem-B, Mollux, and Jirachi, and therefore are considered checks. There is also a tendency for random unexpected (not sure "random" is the right word here) Pokemon to carry Hidden Power Ground, which can be used against Heatran.

**Special Walls**: Chansey can take anything Heatran throws at it due to its immense special bulk and can deal with Toxic with Natural Cure. Specially defensive Gliscor can also switch in fairly easily and thanks to Poison Heal can switch into a Toxic or absorb other status avoid a burn from Lava Plume or Fire Blast. (I think this is the only other method of inflicting status that Heatran has.) However, (AC) any other special wall that isn't Steel- or Poison-type won't like taking a Toxic.

**Water-types**: Bulky Water-types can switch into almost any move, but they have to be wary of Toxic on specially defensive Heatran. Rotom-W, Jellicent, and Keldeo are all able to switch into Heatran and then KO it. Faster Water-types such as Choice Scarf Volkraken can either switch into an appropriate move and KO Heatran or just revenge kill it easily.

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types like such as Keldeo and Tomohawk can easily take a hit and force Heatran out with their STAB attacks. Tomohawk also has reliable recovery and can stop Toxic with a Prankster Taunt.
