Help me build a complete team!

Hello, everyone. This is my first post ever in Smogon, so don't kill me if I do something wrong (please).

I'm trying to get into competitive meta-game, but I don't know the basics of what a complete team should have.

Please, help me build a team that works and performs as a whole! I'd be very thankfull.
