I need some pokes to beat my clans leader. He a rain dance.
he has:
Gyarados
Jolteon
kingdra
Swampert
Ludicolo
Milotic

Give me some pokemon. I have a good idea of a team. But I need some more suggestions. People at gamefaqs gave me some help but I nned more. Please the battle is in two days.

umm well it is not our job to make you a team. Why dont you try a sandstorm team or a hail team? Those will make his rain useless or at the very least, hard to setup.

Right now looking at his pokemon a hail team would work pretty well. Use tentacruel as a special sponge and set up toxic spikes to take advantage of the fact he has zero spinners.

Also remember: It's not just the pokemon you use, it's how you use them.

Swift Swim Kingdra or specsmence
Azlef with grassknot nasty plot tbolt and fill?
Flying type for ludicolo
Physical Lucario or Scarfed Pinsir..Pinsir would be better since it would be faster and be able to take out gyarados if you choose to open with it

I dont know im not an expert those are just what came to mind for me. Hope this helps in the least bit.

I hope you mean Scarfed Heracross... I mean pinsir is not so great compared to Hera.

Also scarfcross lacks the power to 2hko Gyara with stone edge. Choice Band will though.

Still I say he is better off with a good hail team.

Im not asking you to make a TEAM. I have one. I dont want to make a weather team. I need something rly good against him or a wall or tank. I only have one on my team

To beat this team, I'd suggest you use a Surf/Thunder/HP Grass/Substitute Lanturn. I'd recommend using a 52/0/0/208/212/36 spread with a Calm nature, Volt Absorb, and Leftovers. The idea is simple: Switch in on Jolts Thunder or a Water attack. He will probably switch to Swampert, so use Substitute first. With the sub up, you can safely 2KO Swampy with HP Grass. After Swampert's gone, simply use Thunder on all his Water types, and use Surf on his Jolteon. That would be my strategy against his team.

You have to make a team that works for you. It's no good making a team for you, all we can do is give suggestions and advice, but you must be the one to make the team yourself, since you are the one playing in the match, you must be the one to use strategies and tactics, planning ahead and countering anything the opponent has.

That being said, you've had good suggestions so far so why not run with them. One last idea, what about a Water Absorb Pokemon (Poliwrath, Vaporeon, Lapras are all good choices, even Mantine can work).

Come to think of it, are these threads allowed? If so, why isn't there an official (or semi-official) thread for it?

Anyway, they gave you great advice, so use it.

Thats what I said too, but he apparently already has a team (which basically uses "thunder" to counter everything..)

Hail really is the best way to counter rain dance.

Also: To the thread creator: A wall or tank will not help you that much.... USE A FUCKING HAIL TEAM.... I mean a wall is not going to suddenly make your chances of winning 50% higher because your team still wont counter him that well (Yes "thunder" on every pokemon is not a counter)

Hail on the other hand will get rid of the one thing rain dance teams rely on most.... what was it again? Hmm what do rain dance teams rely on? Oh thats right, RAIN.

Honestly, I've tried "preparing" for a team, and it didn't work out. :P Why? He used a different team. >.> But if you're absolutely sure he uses that team, make sure you resist Ice, Electric, and Water attacks for the most part, as those will be the types of attacks he uses. He may also use Dragon and Ground attacks (Gyarados, Swampert, Kingdra), but I don't see him using too many attacks outside of those five types. =\ He won't really have that moveslot to waste on random Hidden Powers, he'll just want to keep Rain Dance on as much as possible.

You are supposed to post threads like this in the RMT section...and even there you are supposed to think of your own team, complete with EVs and natures, by yourself and THEN ask for help with possible other moves. Just because your battle is in a few days doesn't mean we should do all your work for you.
