Help Out a newb with and angry Jackal

Team Aura
Ignore intial team build skip to bottom. I decided to create a team based around my favorite pokemon lucario. He is in general a good pokemon that has swept almost everyone once. I went with the physical set as it simply does that late game sweeps. STUFF IN BOLD MEANS CHANGED

However lucario is in no way perfect. And lacks defenses. To solve this a dual screener is used to give lucario a little extra help in that area. Although cress is probably the best choice i chose uxie as he carrys momento.

Another flaw in lucario is his average speed. Thus a passer is needed help lucario set up giving him the stats that allow him to beast. For this I chose gliscor. Also benefiting from the screens gliscor usually sets up rock polish, sd and can bp to lucario all before being killed.

Lucario and gliscor both do not like gyrados at all. To protect them from this is what i have found to be the best gyrados counter the bulky water herself vaporeon. Vaporeon heals with wish while taking the hits no one on the team wants to take.

Another pokemon preventing lucarios sweep is the bulky psychic. To take care of these walls I have chosen Heracross. With monstrous power and pursuit or megahorn no psychic is a problem.

However the team is missing possibly the most important player in a team, the lead. As stealth rocks are needed to help wear down the foe a consistent stealth rocker is needed. While, also trying to stay agressive I have chosen heatran as my lead. Beating most leads in 1 on 1 and also getting up the needed stealth rocks.

Now on to the In-depth break down!

(Totemic) infernape naive @ focus sash
Ability: blaze
EV's: 66 atk 252 sp atk 192 spd
Moveset:
fire blast
close combat
fake out
stealth rocks

Originally the position held by heatran infernape gets rocks off more frequently and still gets to get attacks in otk many leads and still being usable in the late game. rocks needed to rid of sashers. cc and fire blast for powerful stab and fake out for a free hit.

(CruxZero)Metagross Adamant @ life orb
ability: clear body
EV's: 112 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Def / 132 Spe

Moveset:
Ice Punch
Meteor Mash
Earthquake
ThunderPunch

Simply a monster. An agility gross dropping agility for type coverage. Also gets the speed boost from gliscor. and replace luke as the late game sweeper. thunder punch for skarm. ice punch for dragons. meteor mashing is for stab smashing and earthquake is for grounded steels.

(Brainiac5) Uxie impish @ light clay
ability: levitate
EV's: 252 hp 180 def 76 spd
Moveset:
light screen
reflect
memento
thunder wave

Both screens work very well. By giving everyone on the team a defensive boost set ups are much easier. Lacking a recovery move momento is a great move allowing me to get a free turn to set up with when the opponent switches out when you are going to faint. Thunder wave supports the team slowing down the opponent helping both hera and luke get an upper hand. Overall with impressive defensive stats uxie takes hit from both sides while allowing the team set up ftw.

(Oceana) Vaporeon bold @ leftovers
Ability: Water absorb
EV's: 188 hp 252 def 68 spe
Moveset:
wish
protect/ toxic/ roar Please help choose the move
surf
hidden power electric

standard chose hp electric over ice beam as it does more damage to gyrados. wish obviously is a big help healing the team as all of them lack a recovery move. protect helpful in getting the wish when nessacary. surf acts as the stab move doing some damage. Furthermore the swampert problem with heatran is solved with vaporeon.

(RougeRogue) Scizor adamant @ choice band
Ability: tech
EV's:248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
Moveset:
U-turn
Bullet Punch
Brick Break
Pursuit
Standard cb scizor bullet punching holes in the opponent so that meta can sweep. brick break over super power to get rid of screens and doesn't have the nasty drop in atk and def. u-turn for running away. And taking hera crosses place taking out psychics with pursuit.

(FallenHero) Gliscor jolly @ yache berry
Ability: sand veil
EV's 252 hp 196 sp def 60 spd
moveset:
baton pass
sword dance
taunt
rock polish

Probably the best baton passer I have ever used. Usually getting at least one rock polish and sword dance before passing many time even 2 sword dances with screen support. taunt is used to stop spikes like skarmory or fortress while also preventing dances from gyrados. rock polish gives the speed boost to lucario or cross while sword dance gives them each more power. baton pass is so that he can share the affects of sword dance and rock polish with the rest of the team.

Okay I think thats everything. If you need to no anything else just post it and i will reply. And thank you for your help. And sprites are not mine

You say Heracross takes out bulky psychics, but after a speed boost and an SD which you do not want to switch out of, it is more important to use crunch. Also Ghosts take 0 dmg from ES And CC, so Crunch is important.

I wouldn't use lucario as your baton pass receiver. His defenses are far too low and after LO damage he riskes being ko'd by prioity. Mach pounch already beats him. I'd consider something like metagross.

Moveset EVs ~ Ice Punch
~ Meteor Mash
~ Earthquake
~ ThunderPunch
112 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Def / 132 Spe

That's the MEtagross you should run inplace of lucario with Gliscor passing it the Rock Polish and SD.

And Also For this Metagame, I'm not sure if Uxie is better then Duel Screen Cress. IF Uxie starts failing try the duel screen cresselia.

Try switching SpA and Spe Evs and switching close combat for U-turn so you once you finishing seting up you can outrun the enemy do some damage and switch out

Ive had alot of luck with that set :)

this is the moveset you should be running for a BP metagross

Metagross@Muscle Band
40 HP/252 atk/216 speed
Adamant
-Meteor Mash
-Zen Headbutt
-Earthquake
-Thunderpunch

the EVs let you outrun adamant scarf flygon and jirachi at +2 speed. And zen headbutt>ice punch so you can hit swampert, zapdos, and the rotom formes for good damage. ice punch isnt really needed since zapdos is KOed by +2 zen headbutt after SR and dragons won't like taking a meteor mash. You can use life orb if you want, but when I use these kinds of teams I often find the recoil damage to hurt more than it helps.

Okay i need to no what the 4th move for vaporeon should be. Protect toxic or roar are the three I could think of. I really don't use protect all that much. But I can see how it it helpful. Where toxic is usefull as the team lacks status. On the other hand roar gets rid of people trying to set up.

Can some1 suggest a last move for vaporeon. I understand the aid that protect gives but i really don't use it to much. I am considering toxic to add status to my team. But roar is also appealing hazing and annoying. Please give ideas if you have a better idea don't be scared to share. But overall a new move would be appreciated unless protect is the best option their is.
