Well there's a list of sub-forums that you'll see at smogon.com/forums/, and each has a different description about what you should discuss within it. Introduction threads aren't allowed I believe? That might of changed, or there might just be a mega thread for it now.
So yeah. Go to a sub forum discussing stuff you want to discuss, and jump in.
