I've always loved rain as an offensive strategy and decided to eventually build a team around it.
So without further adieu, I present you with the rain team built to save your ladder points!

Deadpool (Pelipper) (F) @ Damp Rock
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 228 HP / 88 Def / 192 SpD
Calm Nature
- U-turn
- Defog
- Scald
- Roost

Deadpool, Get it? Because it's a rain setter which could make a pool and the rain abusers... Never mind. Despite this mon's awful nickname it's the heart and soul of the team because you can't have a rain team without rain, right? Damp rock for more turns of rain with a standard move set with roost to keep Pelipper healthy and to remove hazards.

Thanos (Swampert-Mega) (M) @ Swampertite
Ability: Swift Swim
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Waterfall
- Superpower

Big bad Thanos, This monster goes hand in hand with Pelipper and is the main rain abuser on the squad. It's amazing speed tier with the swift swim ability means running Adamant isn't an issue and can outspeed the majority of pokemon in the tier not running choice scarf. I decided to run Superpower over Ice Punch to knock out ferrothorn after stealth rocks & initial switch in waterfall damage under rain.

Aqua Man (Greninja-Ash) (M) @ Icium Z
Ability: Battle Bond
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Ice Beam
- Hydro Pump
- Water Shuriken
- Dark Pulse

On the flip side of the rain Aqua Man takes on the role of the special attacker, under rain this thing is a force to be reckoned with especially when it has it's form. The majority of Ash Gren on the ladder at the moment are running specs which is a good item yes, it makes it incredibly strong hitting but I went with an Icium Z set, this way I'm not locked into a move and can catch the likes of tangrowth off guard to open up more opportunities for my water moves to shred teams.

The Flash (Tapu Koko) @ Magnet
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Roost
- Thunderbolt
- U-turn
- Hidden Power [Ice]

The flash, he's the one who goes fast. This thing is incredibly good, it can threaten a lot of pokemon and just u-turn out for offensive momentum or fire off a devastating magnet boosted thunder bolt under electric turrain, I opted with thunderbolt over thunder because if Pelipper is out of the picture I still have the hard hitting accurate move which could be game changing.

Nighthawk (Hawlucha) (M) @ Electric Seed
Ability: Unburden
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 96 HP / 252 Atk / 36 SpD / 124 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Acrobatics
- Swords Dance
- High Jump Kick
- Roost

With this spread it gives Hawlucha a little bit of bulk and with it's unburden ability, it's speed still reaches over 600 upon switch in on electric turrain, I use this as more of a late game sweeper, if the opportunity arises for a swords dance it's basically checkmate with it's incredible hard hitting duel STAB. I wasn't sure wither to run roost or substitute, this could be subject to change.

Green Lanturn (Ferrothorn) (M) @ Chople Berry
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball

The green lanturn is used as some well needed defensive utility and to stack spikes to chip away at some annoying checks. Chople Berry is there for the likes of Fightium Z Lele, not really much to say about him honestly, I think this could be switched with something else but was stuck on what to use as a filler.

Thank you for taking the time to read through my RMT, Any suggestions & comments to further better this team is much appreciated.

Nice. This is the standard Rain Build. Not much to change other than personal preference.

I prefer Koko for Defog instead of Pel. I'd put that over HP Ice and give Hurricane or Knock Off to Pel.

Other things are minor. Swampert is better with maximum coverage IMO (Ice Punch over SR). Ferro can go SR and spikes, or you can shift Spikes over to Gren. Mix and match but the rain formula usually stays the same.
