Tie:
  • The Last Resort Lycanrocs must either tie or lose for playoffs to be secured. A 5-3 win for the Last Resort Lycanrocs means the two teams go to tiebreaker. A 6-2 win or more for the Last Resort Lycanrocs means the Bolt Beak Blizzards are eliminated.
Loss:
  • Either the Last Resort Lycanrocs must lose, or the Last Resort Lycanrocs must tie and the Bolt Beak Blizzards must lose by no less than 3-5 (Later results in a tiebreaker).
Last Resort Lycanrocs:

Win:
  • The Bolt Beak Blizzards cannot win. In the case they tie, a 5-3 win for the Last Resort Lycanrocs means the two teams go to a tiebreaker. A 6-2 win or more means the Lycanrocs advance over the Bolt Beak Blizzards. If the Bolt Beak Blizzards lose, the Last Resort Lycanrocs automatically advance over the Bolt Beak Blizzards.
Tie:
  • The Bolt Beak Blizzards must lose. If they do, losing by 3-5 will result in the two teams going to a tiebreaker, and losing by any more results in the Last Resort Lycanrocs advancing to playoffs.

Now that we have the playoffs odds, let's look at the which players are competing for the top 2 spots of non qualifying teams

Ledians:

Happysh and tails are confirmed top 2

Spindas:

Already qualified

Lycanrocs:

Stories is confirmed top 2 after the 4-0 record while ninja snapple, hammy and mk will be competing for the 2nd spot if their team fails to make it. Mk will confirm his spot if he wins

Blizzards:

Nuage, Vileman and Evie are competing for the top 2 spot with Nuage having a slight advantage and the cushion of 1 extra victory

Hydreigons:

Iride, Wildfire and Danbear are competing for the top 2 spot

Pokerich:

Already qualified

Chinchous:

Ihbst and Idyll guaranteed top 2

Chien-Pao

paysa is confirmed, Rofna, skyview and arcanine competing for the 2nd spot

Tatsugiris:

AIRedzone is confirmed with the 4-0 and almost everyone else has a chance for the 2nd spot (except ones with zero wins)

Garchomps:

Maxisc is confirmed while Seo and Baitwiz are competing for the 2nd spot

Good day all, 1v1 has returned to HGPL and therefore so have I

SM 1v1 Bo5: bern vs Seo: Bern is probably the best 1v1 player in the whole pool, so I would be surprised if they did not win
SM 1v1 Bo5: The Hisui Region vs Frixel Kayzn: Not sure how much experience THR has in SM - regardless, they are a more experienced 1v1 player to my knowledge than Kayzn. THR will have the upper hand therefore in playing an old gen 1v1
SM 1v1 Bo5: feen vs Mcthelegit: Think this'll be a roughly even match. I've seen more of the Mcthelegit in tournaments though, so giving the edge to them.
SM 1v1 Bo5: Alpha1013 vs Akeras: This choice has been influenced by the fact i'm friends with akeras. Regardless, Akeras is an experienced 1v1 player and will likely win handily
SM 1v1 Bo5: Iride vs FlamPoke: I'm not too knowledgeable about these two players, so I have to admit that this one is a shot in the dark
