Hello everyone, welcome to the fifth (and possibly final) iteration of Hangouts Premier League! HGPL is largely enjoyed as an annual event in the A Place To Hangout discord server. It is a team tournament with varying unique formats played every week. Teams are formed through an auction where the chosen captains of each team buy the registered players that they desire. First, there will be a round robin between the eight teams for seven weeks to qualify for the playoffs, where the top four teams battle to determine who will be tournament's champion. The four qualifying teams will participate in a task-based race-week before the playoffs go up, of which the winner team will get an advantage over their opposing team in semi-finals.

It is a team tournament with varying unique formats played every week. Teams are formed through an auction where the chosen captains of each team buy the registered players that they desire. First, there will be a round robin between the eight teams for seven weeks to qualify for the playoffs, where the top four teams battle to determine who will be tournament's champion. The main rules and structure of the tournament are as follows:
- Each Team shall ideally have 8 starting players and atleast 4 substitutes.
- The auction budget for each team is tentatively of 100k.
- Managers can each self-buy for 16k.
- Each team can have a maximum of 14 players.
- There will be different tiers each week, which can range from a simple SV OU slot to a never-before-seen Bring 24 Pick 6 Crazyhouse ADV UU slot. The only thing guaranteed is that there will be atleast one doubles slot, one vanilla singles metagame slot and one random battles slot each week.
- The teams will get a couple of tasks each week which they can complete to gain an advantage for the pre-playoffs task week.
- Teams qualified for play-offs will undergo a task-based race-week. In this event, the teams will need to complete the given 50 tasks or atleast as many as they can out of those 50. The team which completes all of the tasks first/has the most tasks done before the weeks end will be able to switch 2 formats selected for semi-finals to their own liking.
- The top 8 players with the best record from the teams that didn't qualify for playoffs will get randomly migrated into one of the qualifying teams.
- Correspondingly, the playoffs will be played with 10 starters i.e. 10v10 playoffs.
- For the finals, both the teams will select 5 tiers each that they desire to play and those 10 tier will be played.
- The general forum tournament rules will partially apply to this tournament, but the final decision is up to the host.
- It is required for every person signing up to manage to join the A Place To Hangout discord server!
