Hidden Power Help

Hi, I bred a Lotad with the following stats: 31/16/22/30/27/31

As you can see it goes: odd/even/even/even/odd/odd which according to the breedng guide should be hidden power electric.

However, when I enter it's stats into an IV calculator it tells me it has hidden power grass power 70. I then taught it hidden power in my game and tested it out and it's deffinitly hidden power grass. Can someone please tell me why this is.

Either the breeding guide is wrong or you misunderstood the breeding guide; as the IV's don't work like that. It's a more complex equation iirc; just use a calculator to find out the HP, and if its not the wrong one; keep on trying.

Is that speed last? If so, that should actually be Hidden Power Water.

Oh, I see where I went wrong, it is hidden power water 'cause I tested it on an Onix and it was super effective but I assumed it was grass.

Thanks, now I'll go sort through all my Lotads again.

It has actually quite a good power. It is Hidden Power Water 68 power.
