[SET COMMENTS]
Hisuian Sneasel is one of NU's premier revenge killers, regardless of the item it holds. Choice Scarf sets are wonderful because they reliably beat Calm Mind Jolteon, a feat most other Choice Scarf users fail to do because they're specially offensive. On the flipside, Choice Band sets retain great revenge killing potential because Hisuian Sneasel is so naturally fast, and they're very effective wallbreakers to boot thanks to their solid coverage. For the Pokemon Hisuian Sneasel can't consistently defeat like Tera Ghost Sandaconda, Qwilfish, and Sableye, Switcheroo provides a good means of limiting their defensive capabilities. Picking its Tera type is fairly arbitrary, though Tera Fighting lets Choice Band Hisuian Sneasel 2HKO Sandaconda with Close Combat and Choice Scarf Hisuian Sneasel 2HKO Toxicroak after Stealth Rock; alternatively, Tera Dark provides defensive utility against Mesprit, ensures Night Slash OHKOes Rotom after Stealth Rock, and denies Sableye's Prankster Will-O-Wisp.
Despite Choice Scarf and Choice Band Hisuian Sneasel being somewhat different in function, their teammates are pretty similar. Both benefit from teammates like Clawitzer, Rotom, and Mesprit that can take advantage of Sandaconda so they feel less inclined to Terastallize and deal with it themselves. Where they differ is that Choice Scarf Sneasel is far more suited as a late-game cleaner and, as a result, is more reliant on wallbreakers like Guts Ursaring, Magneton, and offensive Appletun to weaken its checks. On the other hand, Choice Band Sneasel prioritizes its role as a wallbreaker and supports late-game sweepers like Dudunsparce and Trailblaze Scyther.

[SET COMMENTS]
Hisuian Sneasel is one of NU's most dangerous setup sweepers; with Swords Dance and Trailblaze, very little can stop it if it obtains both boosts. Even some of its sturdiest checks in Sandaconda, Qwilfish, and Tera Poison Appletun can struggle to keep up, and offensive answers like Choice Scarf Mesprit and Rotom become unreliable because they're slower after a single Trailblaze. Tera Grass is fantastic for turning non-Glare Sandaconda into setup fodder and giving Trailblaze the extra power needed to beat Rotom, but Tera Dark enables Hisuian Sneasel to run Night Slash, giving it a better matchup against Ghost-types in Eviolite Haunter, Drifblim, Sableye, and Terastallized Sandaconda while also making it harder for Choice Scarf Mesprit to revenge kill it.
Hisuian Sneasel's Eviolite-boosted bulk, although not stellar, is enough to let it set up on resisted attacks. So, pairing it with pivots like Bombirdier, Rotom, and Braviary that can bring it in against foes like non-Thunder Wave Qwilfish, Muk, and non-Glare Sandaconda if you're using Tera Grass is recommended. Keep in mind, though, that the Sandaconda matchup can be difficult with Terastallization available to your opponent; teammates like Tera Ice Jolteon, Swords Dance Scyther, and Guts Ursaring that can force it to take damage or Terastallize early-game make it far less threatening.
