Gen 1 Hitmonchan (UU Mini) [DONE]

[OVERVIEW]

Hitmonchan is an absolutely terrible Pokemon due to its extremely bad Special and mediocre Defense, weakness to Psychic, and lack of any real offense. It struggles to make any progress versus Hypno, Kadabra, Tentacruel, and Haunter, and it is 2HKOed by the many special attackers of the tier while not dealing much damage in return. It is also completely outclassed by other similarly unviable Fighting-types in RBY UU, such as Machamp and Primeape, and should never be considered for any serious team.

Submission is the best STAB move Hitmonchan has, and it’s useful for Pokemon such as Persian and Kangaskhan. Body Slam can spread paralysis onto Pokemon such as Tentacruel and Dragonite. Agility can help if Hitmonchan is paralyzed, giving it its Speed back. Lastly, Hyper Beam can finish off an opposing Pokemon at low health.
