Look how ugly this mon is, he got that nasty "drool" coming out his mouth to attract all the nasty bugs in the area like ew you need to learn to close your mouth before that all comes out and you become infested with flies and it smells incredibly foul, like they need some mouthwash there. However, 1 out of 1000 people actually enjoy the stank this mon creates, hmmmm. And then all the flowers are wilting because they are dying in the sheer ugliness that Gloom has.
Meanwhile...
Look at the perfect being, they got the smile and the lovely eyes that scream "I am a lovely lil guy that you want to hug" and most importantly it actually knows hygiene rules unlike it's evolution who is in desperate need of a shower. It is objectively superior.
I hope you understand why Oddish is supreme, good bye :3
