[OVERVIEW]

After being banned last generation, Honchkrow returns to wreck havoc on the UU tier. Honchkrow’s defenses and speed are poor, but it can find ways to switch in using its few resists and valuable ground immunity. It makes up for its low speed with a base 125 STAB Sucker Punch. Its powerful Brave Bird can blow a hole in anything that doesn’t resist it, and it rounds out its coverage with Superpower, which hits steel pokemon that resist both of its STABs. Honchkrow is a solid offensive pokemon, and can consistenly get several KOs for your team.

[SET]
name: Physical Atttacker
move 1: Brave Bird
move 2: Sucker Punch
move 3: Superpower
move 4: Pursuit/Roost
item: Life Orb
nature: Adamant
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

This set simply attempts to blow holes in your opponent’s team. Brave Bird is your powerful STAB, which can OHKO or 2HKO anything that doesn’t resists it. It deals 46%-55% to a 252 HP / 252 Def bold Slowbro , which always 2HKOs with a layer of Spikes or Stealth Rock, 57%-68% to a 252 HP / 252 Def bold Milotic, and 64%-75% at -1 to an 80 HP / 0 Def Arcanine. Sucker Punch allows Honchkrow to bypass its low speed to hit hard and fast, finishing the work Brave Bird doesn’t and hitting most of Brave Bird’s resists neutrally. It deals 64%-76% to an offensive 0 HP / 4 Def Zapdos, always a 2HKO after a 48%-57% Brave Bird, 62%-74% to a 128 HP / 0 Def Rotom-A, always a 2HKO after a 46%-55% (to all but Rotom-C) Brave Bird, and 59%-70% to a 128 HP / 76 Def Raikou, always a 2HKO after a 44%-52% Brave Bird. Superpower rounds out the coverage, OHKOing Empoleon and 2HKOing Registeel through the Attack drop. Pursuit offers a way to ensure a weakened or dark-weak pokemon is eliminated, while Roost can restore recoil damage on one of Honchkrows many forced switched.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The 252/4/252 EV spread maximizes Attacking power, and puts the rest in speed. Jolly nature doesn’t help Honchkrow outrun anything important, so Adamant is used to increase power. Honchkrow has some interesting support options such as Haze and Thunder Wave, but Honchkrow doesn’t have the bulk, and is better off doing damage.

As with any offensive pokemon, Honchkrow loves entry hazards. Froslass makes a great partner for this as she can set up spikes, spin block to keep them on, help Honchkrow’s poor speed with Thunder Wave, and attracts dark and ghost to help Honchkrow switch in while taking ice attacks aimed at Honchkrow. Honchkrow also has a weakness to Stealth Rock, and loves a rapid spinner. Hitmontop is a partner for this, as it can weaken foes with Intimidate and attract psychic attacks to help Honchkrow switch in while switching in on rock attacks.

Bump to say the first set is up, and the others will NOT take this long. Hopefully the other sets will be up in the next few days. Feel free to comment on this one!

Just post the skeleton for each set, not a written version. That way if a set is deemed not viable by the QC team then you won't have wasted your time.

Otherwise, I like mixed with Heat Wave and SubRoost Moxie is decent if steels can be removed.

Thanks, will do.

Choice Scarf
252 Atk/252Spe
Adamant
Brave Bird
Sucker Punch
Superpower/Night Slash
Pursuit

Is a good set. Insomnia with Superpower, Moxie with Night SLash

OP your set is missing its ability (Super Luck should probably be slashed first). You're also seriously underrespresnting Moxie. Slash Night Slash in (lol) with Superpower so that Moxie is actually legal on the physical attacker set, because it is definitely good enough for that. Your Additional Comments are lacking as well and need more content. Add HP Grass there as a mention since it oscillates Rhyperior, one of the better checks to Honchkrow. Drill Peck should also be mentioned as a recoil-less alternative to Brave Bird. Tailwind also helps against offensive teams and should probably receive an AC mention. I think you're confusing the purposes of AC and Other Options. AC is for moves that can work specifically on a set, while OO is for alternatives in general and more gimmicky strategies.

Also I don't doubt it won't get a unanimous 'Ban' vote, but you might want to mention Staraptor as a teammate since it benefits from Krow wearing down walls.

Dont convert your sets to prose before QC looks at them, stick with bullet points. It's easier for us to read, easier for you to make, and a ton easier to make changes to.
