[OVERVIEW]

Honchkrow is a threatening wallbreaker and potential cleaner in the metagame. Honchkrow has access to a very strong Brave Bird and a great coverage option in Superpower to increase its offensive presence. Moxie gives Honchkrow an Attack boost every time it KOes a Pokemon, threatening a snowball effect in which it keeps racking up boosts. Sucker Punch helps Honchkrow revenge kill and clean due to its priority. Sadly, Honchkrow is burdened with poor bulk and Speed, relying on Sucker Punch to KO faster threats like Salazzle and Flygon, and Sucker Punch is easily exploitable by switching to a resistant Pokemon or setting up on it. Honchkrow is also weak to Stealth Rock, giving it fewer opportunities to switch in. Brave Bird recoil also weakens Honchkrow, exploiting its restricted longevity. Despite its decent niche, it is rather difficult to justify using Honchkrow as a wallbreaker compared to other Pokemon like Mega Blastoise, Zygarde-10%, and Virizion, as they are faster, have more reliable setup options, and have better defensive utility in the case of Mega Blastoise.

Moves
========

Brave Bird is a very powerful STAB move and breaks holes in the opponent's team. Sucker Punch in conjunction with Darkinium Z allows Honchkrow to have a one-time powerful Dark-type STAB move and not have to rely on prediction, doing massive damage to Brave Bird-resistant Pokemon like Bronzong and Metagross. Sucker Punch on its own is a fantastic priority move to revenge kill Pokemon like Gardevoir and Salazzle and can let Honchkrow clean weakened teams. Superpower gives Honchkrow a way to break past Steel-, Dark-, and Rock-types that can take a Brave Bird and not worry about Sucker Punch like Registeel and Rhyperior. Superpower also hits Mandibuzz hard when it uses Roost. Taunt allows Honchkrow to ease some prediction and stallbreak, disrupting the likes of Umbreon and Registeel and gives Honchkrow a way to stop them from spreading Toxic while also preventing entry hazard removal via Defog. Pursuit can help when reading switches from faster Pokemon that want to predict Sucker Punch and remove Psychic-types, Ghost-types, and weakened Pokemon.

Set Details
========

The EVs in Speed and a Jolly nature allow Honchkrow to outspeed most defensive Pokemon like Florges and Mantine, giving it the opportunity to use Taunt to prevent entry hazards from being removed or effectively KO them if sufficiently weakened. Additionally, the EVs let it outspeed the likes of Metagross as well as standard Florges and Cresselia sets. Darkinium Z makes Sucker Punch a one-time attack to break through Bronzong and Metagross without having to rely on Sucker Punch. Z-Sucker Punch also heavily dents Cresselia. Life Orb is a solid option if you have another Pokemon with a Z-Crystal and is a lot more threatening versus teams without Darkinium Z Z-Sucker Punch targets, but this weakens Honchkrow more quickly, giving it less time to wallbreak, and makes it a liability to getting revenge killed. Adamant is an alternative nature and is useful to wallbreak more easier, but Honchkrow will lose the Speed that allows it to threaten Metagross, no longer Speed tie with Tyrantrum, and be unlikely to beat Cresselia. Darkinium Z can also be used for Z-Taunt; it gives Honchkrow +1 Attack immediately and helps in scenarios when using Superpower, as it can lower its Attack and Defense, which Z-Taunt alleviates. However, it's situational, and Black Hole Eclipse is a much better option.

Usage Tips
========

Honchkrow is best used early-game to support a different sweeper by punching a massive hole in the opponent's team. Honchkrow can also be used as a late-game cleaner due to the combination of Moxie and Sucker Punch. Sucker Punch-resistant Pokemon like Virizion and Toxicroak need to be removed, and faster Pokemon such as Salazzle and Raikou need to be chipped into range of Sucker Punch before Honchkrow attempts to clean. Bring Honchkrow in with a double switch, with a slow pivot, or after a teammate has been knocked out. It also needs to be kept as healthy as possible, so try to keep Stealth Rock off the field and do not let it get afflicted with any status condition. Toxic puts it on a timer, burns make it lose its offensive presence, and paralysis cuts its Speed and can potentially make it miss out on a crucial KO, so ensure you prevent that as best as you can. Honchkrow should never be switched into strong attacks, as it is rather frail. However, switching into predicted Psychic- and Ground-type moves is alright barring Zygarde-10%'s Thousand Arrows. Decide if conserving Honchkrow's HP for a late-game sweep is worth it because recklessly using Brave Bird or switching into Stealth Rock cuts into Honchkrow's HP a lot, so it might not get to clean late-game.

Team Options
========

Some of Honchkrow's best teammates are entry hazard setters and removers; the best example is Donphan, which is effective at spinning and keeping hazards on the opponent's side of the field, and it is an effective check to some faster threats like Zygarde-10% and Raikou. Araquanid is also really good for setting Sticky Web and weakening the opponent's team for Honchkrow to clean more easily. Tsareena is also good, as both it and Honchkrow are really potent wallbreakers, and Tsareena can use Rapid Spin reliably. Honchkrow works best with Pokemon Feraligatr, Virizion, and Barbaracle that can pressure Rock- and Steel-types. Fire-types like Ninetales and Arcanine also threaten Steel-types. Healing Wish users like Gardevoir and Shaymin are great partners as they can heal Honchkrow when it is weakened, allowing more reckless play. Slow pivots like Tsareena and Forretress are extremely important to bring Honchkrow in safely. Fast pivots like Raikou and Flygon work as well, as they can force switches to give Honchkrow opportunities to come in.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Night Slash is a good option for a consistent Dark-type STAB moveas not having to play mind games versus Metagross can be invaluable at times, but due to its abysmal Speed, Honchkrow appreciates the priority that Sucker Punch provides. Roost is good for recovery, but Honchkrow has to give up Superpower or Taunt, which are both useful, and Honchkrow has horrible defenses, so it has few opportunities to heal. Steel Wing is decent for Diancie but very situational. Choice Scarf allows Honchkrow to be an effective revenge killer and a fast cleaner, but Honchkrow likes to use different moves and not have to worry about locking into a move. Fightinium Z is great for knocking down Steel- and Rock-types like Registeel and Tyrantrum without the drops that come with Superpower, but Honchkrow sorely misses the Dark-type nuke with Darkinium Z. Protect can be viable when First Impression from Golisopod can threaten to KO and is mainly good as a 4th slot move.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Diancie**: Diancie resists both of Honchkrow's STAB moves, can take a Superpower, and OHKOes it back with Moonblast.

**Flying-resistant Pokemon**: Unless they are all chipped, physically defensive Pokemon resistant to Flying like Steelix and Rhyperior can tank hits from Honchkrow and remove it with powerful attacks. However, they need to watch out for Superpower if they are weakened.

**Faster Dark-resistant Pokemon**: Due to its subpar Speed, Honchkrow is heavily pressured by Pokemon like Virizion and Drapion which all KO it back. Virizion resists Sucker Punch and can OHKO with Close Combat, and Drapion resists Sucker Punch and can damage Honchkrow with Poison Jab.

**Faster Priority**: Due to its bad defenses, Honchkrow is prone to being revenge killed by faster priority moves like Extreme Speed from Linoone and Zygarde-10%, which outprioritize Sucker Punch. Accelerock from Lycanroc-D and Ice Shard from Vanilluxe and Mega Glalie also outprioritize Sucker Punch and OHKO Honchkrow back. Honchkrow must also be wary of First Impression from Golisopod, which also OHKOes it.

**Residual Damage**: Due to its Flying typing, Stealth Rock cuts into Honchkrow's already limited longevity. Status conditions such as burns, especially from Scald and Will-O-Wisp, make it lose a lot of offensive pressure. Brave Bird recoil makes Honchkrow easier to revenge kill.

  • Honchkrow's role in the metagame is being a decent breaker and potential cleaner.
  • It has access to a very strong Brave Bird and a great coverage option in Superpower to increase its offensive presence
  • Moxie gives Honchkrow an attack boost every time it kills something, threatening a snowball effect in which it keeps racking up boosts
  • Sadly Honchkrow is burdened with poor bulk and Speed, relying on Sucker Punch to kill faster threats like Salazzle and Flygon, and Sucker Punch is easily exploitable mention brave bird recoil kills it pretty quickly too, and merge this with the next bullet
  • Honchkrow is also weak to Stealth Rock, giving it less opportunities to switch in
  • Honchkrow overall is a high maintenance Pokemon which requires heavy support why? expand on this or merge it with the above 2 bullets.
  • Honchkrow faces heavy competition from other Dark- types such as Drapion, Pangoro and Mandibuzz. Drapion and Pangoro have access to a more spam able Dark STAB in Knock Off and a boosting move in Swords Dance, while Mandibuzz has far better bulk and thus provides more defensive utility. honchkrow doesnt compete with mandibuzz at all, they do completely different stuff. id rather say how hard it is to fit on a team instead cause tbh theres not much it directly competes with.
add a bullet on sucker punch letting it clean (but it can be played around)

  • Superpower gives Honchkrow a way to break past Steel-, Dark-, and Rock- Types that can take a Brave Bird and not worry about Sucker Punch like Registeel and Umbreon.
  • Taunt allows Honchkrow to ease some prediction and Stallbreak, disrupting the likes of Umbreon and Registeel and gives Honckrow a way to stop them from spreading Toxic or set up. mention it prevents the opp from defogging webs away, which is an archetype where honch is common, and mention dark z can boost honchs attack which can let it beat stuff like mandi. also stallbreak doesnt have a capital letter
  • bullet on pursuit
Set Details
========

  • The EVs in Speed and a Jolly nature allow Honchkrow to outspeed most defensive mons like Florges and Mantine, giving Honchkrow the opportunity to Taunt to prevent hazards from being removed or effectively KO them if sufficiently weakened. Additionally, the EVs lets it outspeed the likes of Metagross and Bewear to revenge kill them. specifically mention outspeeding the 242 benchmark and creeping every mon that creeps ada trum/honch eg cress florg uxie and say jolly coupled with darkz lets you beat cress
  • Darkinium Z as stated before makes Sucker Punch a one time attack to break through Bronzong and Metagross, without having to rely on Sucker Punch.
  • bullet on life orb here
  • Adamant is cute to wallbreak easier, but it loses the speed that allows it to threaten Metagross and no longer Speed ties with Tyrantrum update this with above info, but also say it hits significantly harder
Usage Tips
========

  • Honchkrow is best used as a late game cleaner, due to its potency at this job making game planning easier this is only true in the late game, and its not always getting to clean cause it needs to wallbreak
  • Honchkrow can also be used early game to support a different sweeper by punching a massive hole in the opponents team.
  • Sucker Punch resists like Virizion and Toxicroak need to be removed, and faster pokemon such as Salazzle and Raikou need to be chipped into range of Sucker Punch before Honchkrow attempts to clean.

  • Honchkrow should never be switched into strong attacks, as its defences are rather frail merge this with above bullet and mention switching into predicted psychic/ground moves is alright
  • bullet on deciding if conserving its hp is worth it cause recklessly brave birding/swithching into rocks cut into honchs hp a lot so it might not get to clean late game.
Team Options
========

  • Some of Honchkrows best teammates are hazard setters and hazard removal, best example is Donphan which can do both and be an effective check to some faster threats like Zygarde-10% and Raikou. Ribombee is also really good for setting webs and spreading paralysis with Stun Spore ribombee doesnt run stun spore. id mention araquanid as a webber rather than ribombee. also empasize honch really really likes webs support
  • Offensive Waters like Feraligatr and Barbaracle can help Honchkrow break through Rock and Steel-Types that Honchkrow has a hard time breaking through
  • Clerics like Florges and Shaymin are great partners so if you play reckless with Honchkrow forgetting to Taunt and allows Honchkrow to come in when it gets weakened to become threatening.
  • Honchkrow works best with pokemon who pressure Rock- and Steel- Types like Virizion and Ninetails merge this with the bullet on water types
  • Slow pivots like Tsareena and Foretress are extremely important to bring Honchkrow in safely without worrying about being hurt
  • Fast Pivots like Raikou and Flygon work as well as they can pressure offensively with raw power, potentially forcing a switch make these two one bullet
  • Metagross is a fantastic partner, Metagross can set up Stealth Rock and can dispatch Rock- types, most notably Diancie, who resists Honchkrow's STAB add onto "threatens rock/steels" bullet
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • Night Slash is a good option for consistent Dark- STAB without relying on Sucker Punch , it's a fantastic option and the staying power against mons like Bronzong and not having to play 50/50 mindgames vs Metagross can be invaluable at times ,but due to its abysmal Speed Honchkrow appreciates the priority that Sucker Punch provides this really isnt that good, id probably paint this in a slightly less positive light. dark z mostly outclasses this anyways
  • Life Orb is a solid option if you have another pokemon with a Z crystal, but this weakens Honchkrow much faster and makes it a liability to revenge and break holes. mention it makes it more immediately threatening for teams without zong/cress/meta and move to set details
  • Choice Band has immediate power but Honchkrow like the option to switch moves
  • Roost is good for recovery but it has to give up Superpower or Taunt, which both are useful, also Honchkrow has horrible defenses so it wants to wallbreak
  • bullet on scarf, its not amazing but might as well include it
  • Steel Wing is decent for Diancie but its very situational
  • Fightinium Z is great for knocking down Steel- and Rock- types without the drops that come with Superpower mention it sorely misses the dark nuke with dark z, also give specific examples
  • Protect can be viable for one specific scenario, First Impression from Golisopod can threaten to KO, mainly good as a 4th slot
Checks and Counters
===================

**Diancie**: Diancie resists both STABs from Honchkrow, can take a Superpower and OHKOs it back with Moonblast.

**Physically Bulky Pokemon**: Unless they are all chipped, physically defensive pokemon like Steelix and Rhyperior can tank hits from it and remove it with powerful attacks. change this to flying resistant pokemon and mention they should watch out for superpower if weakened

**Faster Pokemon**: Due to its subpar speed, Honchkrow is heavily pressured by pokemon like Virizion, Zygarde-10% and Raikou who all KO back. Virizion resists Sucker Punch and OHKO with Close Combat, Zygarde-10% threatens to KO with Thousand Arrows and Outrage, and Raikou can Pressure stall Sucker Punch, depleting 2 PP instead of 1, giving Honchkrow only 4 PP max. change this to "faster dark resistant pokemon" and change zydog example.

**Faster Priority**: Due to its bad defenses, Honchkrow is prone to be revenged killed by faster priority like Extreme Speed from Linoone and Zygarde-10%, which out prioritize Sucker Punch. Accelrock from Lycanroc-Dusk also outprioritizes Sucker Punch and straight OHKOs back. Honchkrow must also be wary of First Impression from Golisopod which also OHKOs. mention ice shard users like vanilluxe and glalie

**Residual Damage**: Due to its Flying- typng, Stealth Rocks cut into Honchkrow's already limited longevity. Status conditions such as burns especially from Scald or Will-O-Wisp make it lose a lot of offensive pressure. Brave Bird recoil makes Honchkrow easier to revenge kill.

  • Honchkrow faces competition from other Dark- types such as Drapion. Drapion is faster, has access to Swords Dance and a spammable Knock Off ok i dont really feel like honch faces competition from dark types. the issue is more being too hard to fit on teams over other similar wallbreakers /prio users / just mons with more utility. like you usually want your flying type to switch into fighters for example

[OVERVIEW]

  • Honchkrow's role in the metagame is being an extremely threatening breaker and potential cleaner. I feel like it's just me, but the word "extremely" seems a little too kind. Maybe replace it with something else or just delete it? Remember, this is a B- mon here.

  • Moxie gives Honchkrow an attack boost every time it kills something, threatening a snowball effect in which it keeps racking up boosts. Sucker Punch definitely helps Honchrow revenge kill and clean due to its faster priority
  • Sadly Honchkrow is burdened with poor bulk and Speed, relying on Sucker Punch to kill faster threats like Salazzle and Flygon, and Sucker Punch is easily exploitable by either switching to a resist or set up on it.
  • Honchkrow is also weak to Stealth Rock, giving it less opportunities to switch in. Brave Bird recoil also hurts getting Honchkrow weakened, exploiting its restricted durability
  • Honchkrow faces competition from other wallbreakers such as Mega Blastoise and Zygarde-10%. They both fit easily on teams, much more splashable, and in the case of Mega Blastoise, provide defensive utility. I would reword this as "Despite its decent niche, it is rather difficult to justify using Honchkrow as a wallbreaker compared to other Pokemon like Mega Blastoise, Zygarde-10%, and Virizion, as they are faster, have more reliable setup options, and better defensive utility in the case of MEga Blastoise".

  • Adamant is cute to wallbreak easier and hit significantly harder, but it loses the speed that allows it to threaten Metagross and no longer Speed ties with Tyrantrum and unlikely to beat Cresselia.
  • I talked about this on the thread on Discord, but maybe make a mention of when to use Z-Taunt. It gives Honchkrow an attack boost that can be useful in a handful of situations like in case Honchkrow needs to boost to take out a certain foe at +1 or +2 or if it loses a boost from Superpower. If you're going to say this, make absolutely sure you say that it is not as good an option as just going for Black Hole Eclipse.
Usage Tips
========

  • Honchkrow is best used early game to support a different sweeper by punching a massive hole in the opponents team.
  • Honchkrow can also be used as a late game cleaner, due to its potency at this job making game planning easier Swap these two bullets, but reword them if you do.
  • Sucker Punch resists like Virizion and Toxicroak need to be removed, and faster pokemon such as Salazzle and Raikou need to be chipped into range of Sucker Punch before Honchkrow attempts to clean.
  • Bring Honchkrow in with a double switch, a slow pivot, or after a teammate has been knocked out. It also needs to be as healthy as possible, so try to keep Stealth Rock off the field and do not let it get afflicted with any status condition. Honchkrow should never be switched into strong attacks, as its defenses are rather frail. However switching in to predicted Psychic- and Ground- type moves is alright. The Psychic-type part looks good, but remember that RU's best Ground-type is Zygarde-10%: Thousand Arrows invalidates its Ground-immunity.
  • Deciding if conserving its hp is worth it cause recklessly clicking Brave Bird or switching into rocks cut into Honckrows hp a lot so it might not get to clean late game.
  • Maybe add a point about status conditions: Toxic puts it on a timer, burns make it lose its offensive presence, and paralysis cuts its speed and being fully paralyzed can potentially make it miss out on a crucial KO.

  • Some of Honchkrows best teammates are hazard setters and hazard removal, best example is Donphan which is effective at spinning and keep hazards on the opponents team and be an effective check to some faster threats like Zygarde-10% and Raikou. Araquanid is also really good for setting webs and denting as much walls as it can weaken the team for Honchkrow to clean it easier. Tsareena is also good as both it and Honchkrow are really potent wallbreakers and Tsareena can Rapid Spin reliably
  • Honchkrow works best with pokemon who pressure Rock- and Steel- Types like Feraligatr and Barbaracle can help Honchkrow break through Rock and Steel-Types that Honchkrow has a hard time breaking through. Metagross is also really good as it can set up Stealth Rocks and threaten Pokemon like Diancie who resists Honchkrows STABs I feel like Virizion and maybe a Fire-type partner like Ninetales, Salazzle, or Arcanine that can help deal with Steel-types should also be mentioned in this bullet.
  • Healing Wish users like Gardevoir and Shaymin are great partners so if you play reckless with Honchkrow forgetting to Taunt and allows Honchkrow to come in when it gets weakened to become threatening.
  • Slow pivots like Tsareena and Foretress are extremely important to bring Honchkrow in safely without worrying about being hurt. Fast Pivots like Raikou and Flygon work as well as they can pressure offensively with raw power, potentially forcing a switch
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • Night Slash is a good option for consistent Dark- STAB without relying on Sucker Punch , it's a good option and the staying power against mons like Bronzong and not having to play 50/50 mindgames vs Metagross can be invaluable at times, but due to its abysmal Speed Honchkrow appreciates the priority that Sucker Punch provides. However Night Slash is a pretty weak move and pretty unreliable
  • Roost is good for recovery but it has to give up Superpower or Taunt, which both are useful, also Honchkrow has horrible defenses so it wants to wallbreak
  • Steel Wing is decent for Diancie but its very situational
  • Choice Scarf allows Honchkrow to an effective revenge killer and a fast cleaner, but Honchkrow likes to use different moves and not have to worry about locking into a move.
  • Fightinium Z is great for knocking down Steel- and Rock- types without the drops that come with Superpower like Registeel and Tyrantrum, but it sorely misses the Dark- type nuke with Darkinium Z
  • Protect can be viable for one specific scenario, First Impression from Golisopod can threaten to KO, mainly good as a 4th slot
Checks and Counters
===================

**Diancie**: Diancie resists both STABs from Honchkrow, can take a Superpower and OHKOs it back with Moonblast.

**Flying Resistant Pokemon**: Unless they are all chipped, physically defensive pokemon like Steelix and Rhyperior can tank hits from it and remove it with powerful attacks. However they need to watch out for Superpower if they are weakened

**Faster Dark Resistant Pokemon**: Due to its subpar speed, Honchkrow is heavily pressured by pokemon like Virizion, Drapion and Raikou who all KO back. Virizion resists Sucker Punch and OHKO with Close Combat, Drapion resists Sucker Punch and damage Honchkrow with Poison Jab and Raikou can Pressure stall Sucker Punch, depleting 2 PP instead of 1, giving Honchkrow only 4 PP max.

**Faster Priority**: Due to its bad defenses, Honchkrow is prone to be revenged killed by faster priority like Extreme Speed from Linoone and Zygarde-10%, which out prioritize Sucker Punch. Accelrock from Lycanroc-Dusk Lycanroc-D also outprioritizes Sucker Punch and straight OHKOs back. Honchkrow must also be wary of First Impression from Golisopod which also OHKOs. Ice Shard user like Vanilluxe and Mega Glalie also threaten to OHKO

[OVERVIEW]

Honchkrow's role in the metagame is being a threatening breaker and potential cleaner. Honchkrow has access to a very strong Brave Bird and a great coverage option in Superpower to increase its offensive presence. Moxie gives Honchkrow an Attack (capitalise) boost every time it kills KOes (Pokemon are not killed) something, threatening a snowball effect in which it keeps racking up boosts. Sucker Punch definitely helps Honchkrow (spelling) revenge kill and clean due to its faster priority. Sadly, (comma) Honchkrow is burdened with poor bulk and Speed, relying on Sucker Punch to kill KO faster threats like Salazzle and Flygon, and Sucker Punch is easily exploitable by either switching to a resist resistant Pokemon or set up on it. Honchkrow is also weak to Stealth Rock, giving it less opportunities to switch in. Brave Bird recoil also hurts weakens getting Honchkrow weakened (repetition), exploiting its restricted durability. Despite its decent niche, it is rather difficult to justify using Honchkrow as a wallbreaker compared to other Pokemon like Mega Blastoise, Zygarde-10%, and Virizion, as they are faster, have more reliable setup options, and are better defensive utility in the case of Mega Blastoise.

Brave Bird is the main draw, as it's (spelling) a very powerful STAB move and really break holes on the opponents team. Sucker Punch in conjunction with Darkinium (spelling) Z allows Honchkrow to have a one-time (hyphen) powerful Dark STAB and not have to rely on prediction, doing massive damage to Brave Bird-resistant Pokemon (hyphen, capitalisation) like Bronzong and Metagross. Sucker Punch on its own is a fantastic priority move to revenge Pokemon (capitalisation) like Gardevoir and Salazzle and can let it clean weakened teams. Superpower gives Honchkrow a way to break past Steel-, Dark-, and Rock-types (spelling) that can take a Brave Bird and not worry about Sucker Punch like Registeel and Rhyperior. Superpower also hits Mandibuzz hard when it uses roosts Roost. Taunt allows Honchkrow to ease some prediction and stallbreak, disrupting the likes of Umbreon and Registeel and gives Honchkrow (spelling) a way to stop them from spreading Toxic or prevents hazard removal via Defog, where it's (apostrophe) best in Sticky Webs archetypes. Pursuit can help with reading switches on those faster Pokemon who that want to predict Sucker Punch, Pursuit can also help remove the Psychic-types, Ghost-types (spelling) and weakened Pokemon. (full stop)

Set Details

The EVs in Speed and a Jolly nature allow Honchkrow to outspeed most defensive mons Pokemon like Florges and Mantine, giving Honchkrow the opportunity to Taunt to prevent hazards from being removed or effectively KO them if sufficiently weakened. Additionally, the EVs let (remove 's') it outspeed the likes of Metagross and Pokemon who that creep 242 Speed (capitalise) like Florges and Cresselia. Darkinium Z as stated before makes Sucker Punch a one-time (hyphen) attack to break through Bronzong and Metagross, without having to rely on Sucker Punch. Darkinium Z also heavily dents Cresselia. Life Orb is a solid option if you have another Pokemon (capitalise) with a Z-Crystal (spelling), but this weakens Honchkrow much faster and makes it a liability to revenge and break holes. Life Orb is also a lot (spelling) more threatening vs versus teams without Darkinium Z targets. Adamant is cute useful (??) to wallbreak easier and hit significantly harder, but it Honchkrow loses the speed that allows it to threaten Metagross and no longer Speed ties with Tyrantrum and is unlikely to beat Cresselia. Darkinium Z can also be used for Z-Taunt; (semicolon) it gives Honchkrow +1 Attack (capitalise) immediately and helps (add 's') in scenarios when using Superpower, as it can lower its Attack and Defense (capitalise), which Z-Taunt alleviates. However, (comma) it's (apostrophe) kinda situational and Black Hole Eclipse is a much way better option. Night Slash is nice at times occasionally useful for having a Dark-type physical STAB move without relying on the opponent to attack (make sure you keep the writing formal).

Usage Tips

Honchkrow is best used early-game (hyphen) to support a different sweeper by punching a massive hole in the opponent's (apostrophe) team. Honchkrow can also be used as a late-game (hyphen) cleaner, (remove) due to its potency at this job making game planning easier. Sucker Punch-resistant Pokemon resists like Virizion and Toxicroak need to be removed, and faster Pokemon (capitalise) such as Salazzle and Raikou need to be chipped into range of Sucker Punch before Honchkrow attempts to clean. Bring Honchkrow in with a double switch, a slow pivot, or after a teammate has been knocked out. It also needs to be as healthy as possible, so try to keep Stealth Rock off the field and do not let it get afflicted with any status condition. Honchkrow should never be switched into strong attacks, as its defences are rather frail. However, (comma) switching in to predicted Psychic- and Ground-type (spacing) moves is alright unless its Zygarde-10%'s Thousand Arrows. Deciding if conserving its Honchkrow's HP (capitalise) is worth it cause because recklessly clicking Brave Bird or switching into rocks Stealth Rock cuts (add 's') into Honchkrow's (spelling) HP (capitalise) a lot, (comma) so it might not get to clean late-game (hyphen) (There needs to be an addition to the first part: "Deciding if conserving Honchkrow's HP is worth it is important because..."). Toxic puts it on a timer, burns make it lose its offensive presence, and paralysis cuts its Speed and being fully paralyzed can potentially make it miss out on a crucial KO, so ensure you prevent that as best as you can.

Some of Honchkrow's best teammates are entry hazard setters and hazard removal removers; the best example is Donphan, which is effective at spinning and keeps keeping hazards on the opponent's team side of the field and is an effective check to some faster threats like Zygarde-10% and Raikou. Healing Wish users like Gardevoir and Shaymin are great partners so if you play reckless with Honchkrow forgetting to Taunt and allows allow Honchkrow to come in when it gets weakened to become threatening again. Slow pivots like Tsareena and Forretress are extremely important to bring Honchkrow in safely without worrying about being hurt. Fast pivots like Raikou and Flygon work as well, as they can pressure offensively with raw power, potentially forcing a switch.

Night Slash is a good option for a consistent Dark-type STAB move without relying on Sucker Punch; it's a good option and the staying power against Pokemon like Bronzong and not having to play 50/50 mindgames mind games versus Metagross can be invaluable at times, but due to its abysmal Speed, Honchkrow appreciates the priority that Sucker Punch provides.Moreover, Night Slash is a pretty weak and unreliable move. (you've stated that the entire point of running Night Slash is for its consistency without relying on Sucker Punch, so it's not unreliable. Night Slash and Sucker Punch are also the same BP. Night Slash is an alternative to Sucker Punch, so Night Slash being weak as a reasoning to not use it is illogical) Roost is good for recovery,(AC) but it Honchkrow has to give up Superpower or Taunt, which both are both useful, and also Honchkrow also has horrible defenses, so it is given less opportunity has few opportunities to heal. Steel Wing is decent for Diancie but it's very situational. Choice Scarf allows Honchkrow to be an effective revenge killer and a fast cleaner, but Honchkrow likes to use different moves and not have to worry about locking into a move. Fightinium Z is great for knocking down Steel- and Rock-types like Registeel and Tyrantrum without the drops that come with Superpower , but it Superpower, but Honchkrow sorely misses the Dark-type nuke with Darkinium Z. Protect can be viable for one specific scenario,(RC) when First Impression from Golisopod can threaten to KO,(RC) and is mainly good as a 4th slot move.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Diancie**: Diancie resists both of Honchkrow's STAB moves from Honchkrow, can take a Superpower,(AC) and OHKOes it back with Moonblast.

**Flying-resistant Pokemon**: Unless they are all chipped, physically defensive Pokemon resistant to Flying like Steelix and Rhyperior can tank hits from it Honchkrow and remove it with powerful attacks. However, they need to watch out for Superpower if they are weakened.

**Faster Dark-resistant Pokemon**: Due to its subpar Speed, Honchkrow is heavily pressured by Pokemon like Virizion, Drapion, and Raikou, which all KO it back. Virizion resists Sucker Punch and can OHKO with Close Combat, Drapion resists Sucker Punch and can damage Honchkrow with Poison Jab, and Raikou can Pressure stall Sucker Punch,(RC) depleting 2 PP instead of 1, giving Honchkrow only 4 PP max.

**Faster Priority**: Due to its bad defenses, Honchkrow is prone to being revenged revenge killed by faster priority moves like Extreme Speed from Linoone and Zygarde-10%, which out prioritize outprioritize Sucker Punch. Accelerock from Lycanroc-D and Ice Shard from Vanilluxe and Mega Glalie also outprioritizes outprioritize Sucker Punch and straight OHKOes OHKO Honchkrow back. Honchkrow must also be wary of First Impression from Golisopod, which also OHKOes it. Ice Shard users like Vanilluxe and Mega Glalie also threaten to OHKO.

**Residual Damage**: Due to its Flying typing, Stealth Rock cuts into Honchkrow's already limited longevity. Status conditions such as burns,(AC) especially from Scald or and Will-O-Wisp,(AC) make it lose a lot of offensive pressure. Brave Bird recoil makes Honchkrow easier to revenge kill.

Sucker Punch helps Honchkrow revenge kill and clean due to its faster priority. Sadly, Honchkrow is burdened with poor bulk and Speed, relying on Sucker Punch to KO faster threats like Salazzle and Flygon, and Sucker Punch is easily exploitable by either switching to a resistant Pokemon or setting up on it. Honchkrow is also weak to Stealth Rock, giving it less fewer opportunities to switch in.

Moves
========

Brave Bird is a very powerful STAB move and really break breaks holes in the opponent's team. Sucker Punch in conjunction with Darkinium Z allows Honchkrow to have a one-time powerful Dark-type(AH) STAB move and not have to rely on prediction, doing massive damage to Brave Bird-resistant Pokemon like Bronzong and Metagross. Taunt allows Honchkrow to ease some prediction and stallbreak, disrupting the likes of Umbreon and Registeel,(AC)(remove AC comment) and gives Honchkrow a way to stop them from spreading Toxic and prevent while also preventing entry hazard removal via Defog. Pursuit can help with when reading switches on from faster Pokemon that want to predict Sucker Punch and remove Psychic-types, Ghost-types, and weakened Pokemon.

Set Details
========

The EVs in Speed and a Jolly nature allow Honchkrow to outspeed most defensive Pokemon like Florges and Mantine, giving Honchkrow it the opportunity to use Taunt to prevent entry hazards from being removed or effectively KO them if sufficiently weakened. Additionally, the EVs let it outspeed the likes of Metagross as well as standard Florges and Cresselia sets. Darkinium Z makes Sucker Punch a one-time attack to break through Bronzong and Metagross without having to rely on Sucker Punch. Darkinium Z Z-Sucker Punch also heavily dents Cresselia. Life Orb is a solid option if you have another Pokemon with a Z-Crystal and is a lot more threatening versus teams without Darkinium Z Z-Sucker Punch targets, but this weakens Honchkrow much faster more quickly, giving it less time to wallbreak,(AC) and makes it a liability to revengekill and wallbreak getting revenge killed. Adamant is an alternative nature and is useful to wallbreak easier and hit significantly harder more easily (having both the wallbreaking comment and the hitting harder one was redundant), but Honchkrow will lose the speed Speed that allows it to threaten Metagross,(AC)(remove AC comment) no longer Speed tie with Tyrantrum,(AC)(remove AC comment) and be unlikely to beat Cresselia. Darkinium Z can also be used for Z-Taunt; it gives Honchkrow +1 Attack immediately and helps in scenarios when using Superpower, as it can lower its Attack and Defense, which Z-Taunt alleviates. However, it's situational,(AC) and Black Hole Eclipse is a much better option.

Usage Tips
========

Honchkrow is best used early-game to support a different sweeper by punching a massive hole in the opponent's team. Honchkrow can also be used as a late-game cleaner due to its potency at this job, making game planning easier the combination of Moxie and Sucker Punch (its effectiveness at wallbreaking as nothing to do with its ability to clean late-game). Toxic puts it on a timer, burns make it lose its offensive presence, and paralysis cuts its Speed and being fully paralyzed can potentially make it miss out on a crucial KO, so ensure you prevent that as best as you can.

========

Some of Honchkrow's best teammates are entry hazard setters and hazard removers; the best example is Donphan, which is effective at spinning and keeping hazards on the opponent's side of the field,(AC) and it is an effective check to some faster threats like Zygarde-10% and Raikou. Araquanid is also really good for setting Sticky Web and weakening the opponent's team for Honchkrow to clean easier more easily. Tsareena is also good, as both it and Honchkrow are really potent wallbreakers,(AC) and Tsareena can use Rapid Spin reliably. Honchkrow works best with Pokemon Feraligatr, Virizion, and Barbaracle that can pressure Rock- and Steel-types.(AP) like Feraligatr and Barbaracle, which can help Honchkrow break through Virizion sets up reliably on Rock- and Steel-types, and Fire-types like Ninetales and Arcanine also threaten Steel-types. Healing Wish users like Gardevoir and Shaymin are great partners if you play reckless with Honchkrow and allow Honchkrow to come in when it gets weakened to become threatening again ,(AC) as they can heal Honchkrow when it is weakened, allowing more reckless play. Slow pivots like Tsareena and Forretress are extremely important to bring Honchkrow in safely without worrying about being hurt. Fast pivots like Raikou and Flygon work as well, as they can pressure offensively with raw power, potentially forcing a switch force switches to give Honchkrow opportunities to come in.

(I could not figure out what you were trying to convey about Bronzong; Night Slash doesn't provide longevity in any way superior to Sucker Punch. Neither provide longevity period. I don't know why it was brought up.) Roost is good for recovery, but Honchkrow has to give up Superpower or Taunt, which are both useful, and Honchkrow has horrible defenses, so it has few opportunities to heal. this analysis had several bits in it that confused me as a gper ie raikou in a section about dark resistant pokemon and night slash being cited as giving honchkrow improved longevity as opposed to sucker punch. im not sure what the logic behind these bits of information were, but i removed them without changing the content as best i could. also, be very careful with this check; i had to remove several instances of double spaces and comments like AC that were left from the last gp check.
